Ah, I met with Ava again. She strongly disliked my growth, but I think I managed to calm her down a bit. I had no idea that my growth would disturb her so much... But I suppose that change is not a big thing with her. She seemed to want everything to revert back the way it was before. But I can't do that.

I gave her a little panda plush I found in Lu's toychest. I gave it to Ava with my Bond's permission, of course. She seemed to really like that. Then, I taught her to play volleyball using some cheesecloth and a jingle bell. It was lots of fun. I hope to see her again for a New Year's party. Lu says that she'd like to hold one, if she's not too caught up with work/

I need to invite Ava over here sometime. She told me once that she hates being alone with a silent house. I think she'd really like it here with all the ruckus and noise all the time.

(( The RP so far. I hafta contact Tera to see if we can wrap this up. n_n ))

Teralinth dKalin

Maq checked his direction against the setting of the sun again, trying to make sure he was heading in the right direction. This Neruo guy... The name seemed familiar for some reason, but he couldn't quite place it. If Tera hadn't told him about this whole "Secret Santa" thing, he might not have even given a second thought to meeting whoever this was.

Now, however, since he was supposed to be getting the guy a present, Maq knew he had to at least meet him. After all, how can you get something for someone you don't even know? So here he was, out in this weather again, off to meet some Feien who probably hadn't heard of him, either.

And there the house was, in all it's glory. Since he'd started visiting other Feien, Maq had never ceased to be surprised at all the different places their Bonds chose to live in. This place looked kinda like Tera's House before it burned down, but without all the tingly feelings he got whenever he entered the vicinity. Darting downwards, Maq headed for the front, searching for a sign of the Feien that supposedly lived here.

Lucifer Force
Belch!

Neruo laughed, knowing that, as rude as it was, it was still entertaining. Of course, he wasn't the one burping at all. Sitting on the windowsill, he toyed with a piece of garland his Bond was throwing about.

"Lu, please, watch your manners." he said, still smiling.

His Bond sighed dramatically. "But that was a chunky one!"

Neuro shook his head. "Too much info, Lu. Too much."

Teralinth dKalin
The motion of the garland caught Maq's eye, and he headed for it at a reasonable pace. Of course, reasonable for him was the equivilant of a bright red blur, as he came in fast and landed on the windowsill with a loud ripple of his cloth-like wings. He marked the orange Feien who sat there, careful not to smack the guy with his wing as he landed.

A broad grin spread across his face, and he ran a hand through his hair. "I'm hoping you're Neruo."

Lucifer Force
Blinking, Nerou stood up slowly, turning around to face the bright red Feien. Interesting wings, and they were the first thing he noticed. And very...confident. Not a bad thing at all. This one seemed to exude an air of positivity, which he liked already.

Extending a hand in greeting, he replied, "Yes, I'm Neruo. Who might you be? Not that I mind a visit from a fellow Feien at all."

Teralinth dKalin
"The name's Maquinar, but you can call me Maq." Reaching his hand out, he touched his palm to Neruo's, but didn't clasp the orange one's hand. From the continued smile and the twinkle in Maq's orange eyes, however, one got the impression that lack of a traditional handshake was actually customary for this guy.

As Maq drew his arm back, he blinked, then laughed. "Well, ******** me! You're a Heat Feien, aren't you?"

Lucifer Force

Neruo smiled, drawing back his hand. "No, thank you, I'd rather not do anything like that to someone I've just met." A slight chuckle escaped his lips. He liked this guy. His larger-than-life personality made him wonder how Silva was doing.

"Yes, I am a Heat Feien. And I assume by your color that you are as well?" He took a step back to give the other Feien a quick look-over. Very interesting and bright pattern. Very stange wings, though. How could he fly with those? Perhaps he glided?

"What brings you over to our side of town, if I may ask?"

Teralinth dKalin
Maq laughed again, the sound rumbling up from the depths of his scarred chest. Gotta remember to thank Tera for signing me up for this thing. This Neruo guy's not half bad. "And I just remembered that you're not my type." He shrugged, mock-apologetically. "No offense, but I like my snogs with a few more curves."

He folded his arms over his chest as Neruo looked him over, still grinning broadly. "Yeah, I'm Heat, too. But you can't really go by color." Those strange wings of his, currently hanging down his back like some sort of cape, shifted slightly. "I've seen Dark type Feien just as brightly colored as we are."

And then came that question. He hadn't really given much thought to his excuse for coming over; Maq did know that, in order to keep up the element of surprise in this whole Secret Santa thing, he'd have to have an alternate reason. Something still honest... "Your Bond and mine have met a couple of times. Mine figured it wouldn't be a bad idea for the two of us to meet." His eyes twinkled merrily; completely true. Tera had said it would be a good idea for them to meet. Spreading his arms out, palms up, "So here I am."

Lucifer Force
Neruo blinked. Yes, it made sense not to go by color, since Ruya was a Memory Feien. But then again, when did memory have color? He tossed a look over at his Bond, her head stuffed beneath the Christmas tree.

"Our Bonds...they've met?" he asked no one in particular. "Lu, you have a social life?" Of course, that was asked in good fun.

His Bond nearly knocked the tree over trying to unhinge her head. "Yes! I do too have a social life!" She huffed, stalking off to go do...something else.

He returned his focus to Maq. "Capital idea. I never get tired of meeting new people." he said, pondering over Maq's scars. "Did you recieve those in a battle? You seem like a strong guy."

Teralinth dKalin
"Just a bit of a scuffle." His voice was a modest drawl, the faintest of shrugs appearing in the way he lifted his eyebrows as he spoke. He never minded talking about his exploits, after all, but it wouldn't do to sound like a braggart. Too much. "Of course, you should have seen the other guy."

He chuckled wryly, taking a closer look into the room, now that Neruo's Bond had left. "I'm strong enough, I guess. There are probably stronger Feien." As his eyes came back to Neruo, he asked, "How about you? What's your forte?"

Lucifer Force
"Oh, if you don't mind my curiousity, who was it that you fought? I'm not a fighter myself, so I don't become entangled in any quarrels if it can be helped."

He stepped back, thinking. His forte? What he was best at? Nothing that would interest Maq in any way, shape or form, but he was to be honest in his answer. Shrugging inwardly, he took a breath.

"I suppose you could say that I take a more...supportive role in the Feien world. I'm going to compare it to an RPG, like my Bond does with just about everything. I'm the healer in the back row, if you know what I mean. I make potions. I guess I'm an apothecary."

Judging by Maq's scars and buff body, Neruo figured he was best at fighting, or perhaps bodybuilding. "I assume you're a warrior? What hobbies do you partake in?"

Teralinth dKalin
"No worries; it was one of Ter's other critters. A nasty little ******** known as a Sigil." He and Kef had seen little of each other in the last few months, which made the whole "feud" seem a little lacklustre. "If your Bond gets a strange scroll of some sort, steer clear of it; you should be all right."

Arpeegee? What the hell is that? Despite his ignorance to the term, Maq nodded. Healer in the back row made sense. "Nice!" His grin was authentic; anything new was always interesting, at least until it proved otherwise. "I mostly work out, do a little boxing, help Ter with the horde... That sort of thing."

Reaching up to scratch the back of his head thoughtfully, he added, "I'm working on building my magic up so that I can manipulate metals, too."

Lucifer Force
"Manipulate metals? You mean, like smithery? That sounds interesting. You'd make yourself a sword or the like?" Weapons didn't serve any use to him, since he was more out to help everyone than hurt anyone. Besides, he wasn't strong enough or fast enough to do any real harm, even if he wanted to.

He smiled, wondering if Maq would accept a gift. "Do you participate in frequent fights? I may have a little something around here that could possibly help. I mean, if you accept gifts from people you've just met..."

Neruo nodded inwardly, making mental note that this Feien could be a wonderful friend and companion. He was very outgoing, if not a bit vulgar. But most male Feien he'd met were anyway. Must be some sort of trend. He'd research that later.

Teralinth dKalin
"Not 'fights', exactly. I mean, I don't go out of my way looking for trouble." This was fairly amusing, given that he had come here to scout out what the guy wanted in order to get him a Christmas present, and here Neruo was offering him a gift. "If I run into someone my size willing to spar a bit, then I'll give it a go."

Maq grinned sheepishly. "Yeah, a sword, for the obvious reasons. But I'm sure if I get good enough, there are plenty of other things I'll be able to make." He knew that some folks weren't all for the whole "solving your problems with force" thing, as they called it; still, it was a skill that was needed. "If you want to give me something, that's cool. I think I can trust you."

Lucifer Force
Neruo shifted his weight to his o ther foot, crossing his arms. "Don't worry. Do I honestly look like I'd hurt someone? I couldn't go about the practice anyway. I'd feel too bad about it." He chuckled.

"Wait a moment. I'll go grab you a potion I've been working on. Oh, and feel free to cruise about the house. As long as you don't break anything or rummage through things, Lu won't mind at all."

With that, he took to the air, slowly floating towards his room on the bottom floor. He had set up a mini laboratory there, and had already chosen the potion he was to give Maq. Of course, at his present speed, getting there and back might take a while... This is when he disliked his overall speed.

Teralinth dKalin
Maq, not really one for wandering around other people's places, decided he'd merely go examine the tree closer. This whole "Christmas" thing still baffled him a bit, but Tera's explanation made sense. Give gifts to the ones you care about... Sure, but what about things like this "Secret Santa" project? Hard to care about someone you don't know.

This tree was different, too, from the one Tera had put up in their living room back at the House. Interesting.

Lucifer Force
Flating back finally, Neruo held up what he was about to give Maq. Although he was a distance away, the potion in his hand shone greatly through the room. It was apotion that seemed to be made of fire. When he finally floated near Maq, he presented the Heat Feien with the gift. The potion itself was in a vile bought from the shop, and wouldn't be hot at all to the touch to a Heat Feien. Neruo explained.

"I made this when messing around with brimstone and other combustable materials. There isn't a whole lot in tere for safety's sake, and won't damage anyone or anything too badly at all. Just enough to lightly singe something and temporarily blind. Nothing fatal." He hoped that made sense. Even though he himself wasn't a fighter didn't mean that others didn't need defending.

He straightened out. "I hope you don't mind the odd gift. We don't have any small weapons around here except paperclips and toothpicks."

Teralinth dKalin
Maq's eyes went wide as he took the vial. "Wow. This is... Wow." He sure as hell meant to get the guy something special now. He grinned, turning it over, not so much thinking of its capacity for harm as he was thinking of its possible uses in other areas. "This is great! Thanks!"

A part of him wondered idly if it were edible. "Make a lot of things like this, do you?"

Lucifer Force
Neruo nodded, scratching the back of his neck as he spoke. "Yes, I have figured out how to concoct potions using chemicals, elements and household items. You won't believe what you can make if you just experiment. Lu sometimes gets mad at me for using so many vials. I have quite the collection now, but most are small tupperware plastic containers. But they suffice."

He appreciated Maq's genuine curiousity and thankfulness towards the gift. He was glad someone liked them. "If you like the effects of this potion, I can always make you another. Feel free to ask."

"Simon." he said quietly. "I get to give Simon a gift!"

Lu shrugged. "Simon sounds kinda...dorky, don'tcha think?"

Neruo looked up from his papers, reading and rereading anything he could remember about Simon for a Secret Santa event in the shop. Lu had never met the guy before, and already she was forming opinions. He didn't like the practice very much at all.

"I wouldn't say anything about anyone I've never met, Lu."

His Bond began to wander off - something she frequently did, with or without provokation. "I guess he sounds like an intellectual. But there's always that possibility that he was named as such without being too...bright. Catch my drift?"

He nodded, sitting up straight to read over the rules of the event again. "He's very nice, and he's very knowledgable. He loves genetics, too, and he wears glasses. I suppose that's a good indication of his hobbies. He must love to read."

"Good idea, Doodles." she replied, shaking one of the presents beneath the Christmas tree.

He chuckled in response. "Lu, are you still calling me that?"

Journal -

The Heat Feien named Maq is quite the personality. He's positive, masculine and very strong-willed. He dropped by today to give me a Secret Santa gift. It's a combination of test tube storage and more test tubes! I am very grateful to him and his Bond (whomeever purchased it). The gift has proven to be very useful.

I intend fully to go and visit Maq again, since he's a very nice guy. I do hope he doesn't mind visitors... I'll need to somehow get some sort of weapon for him. He's a smith and a gladiator, so something large and sharp should picque his fancy.

"Umm... Lu, are you feeling alright?"

The heavy form of his Bond lay firmly plastered to the couch, where her head was stuffed into a mountain of pillows and blankets. Her body occassionally spasmed. This did not bode well.

The orange Feien slowly flew to her exposed shoulder, where his tiny feet stabilized over a bony shoulderblade. "You look as if you haven't eaten in a week or so. How much weight have you lost?"

A sharp, deep growl came as a swift reply. Neruo wasn't afraid, but for safety's sake, he flew to the nearby coffeetable to inspect her. Indeed, if looked as if she lost a good ten pounds. Her bones jutted out like so many mountains against her thin skin. Neruo became worried. Lu was never silent or angry like this.

The Bond was asleep on the couch after thoroughly scrubbing the bathroom spotless. Meanwhile, the orange fairy sat in his room, looking over the gift he was given by the one named Maq. It was wonderously helpful to him, as he had hoped his inpromtu give to Maq was the red fairy.

He had already filled all the bottle which accompanied the rack, even if some contained only water. He loved how the light of the bedroom lamp had reflected upon each tube's contents. Even if no one else appreciated it, he thoroughly enjoyed it.

Now, the trick was to keep everything mostly in the best condition possible. Such a gift must've been expensive. He took one especially black tube out to the kitchen sink (a trip which took ten minutes just to get to the sink) to wash it out. He turned on the faucet...

Shhhh...

And the stain didn't come out. The tube was a lovely shade of...gray.

"Wonderful..." the fairy sighed.

Journal -

Lu recently brought home some sort of floating marble. It buzzes about as if it were an insect, and bears the markings of flames. She calls it "Nina", when it doesn't have an obvious gender. It's really strange.

Lucius came home, and with his new powers, I concocted a type of Light-based potion. Lucius now can create a sort of orb of light, and I asked him to make one small enough to fit into one of my test tubes. It worked out marvelously. I tested a few out myself, and they make a wonderful flash of light, much like a tiny camera's. It works well to illuminate a room briefly.

I've gotten much better at potion creation as of late, and I've used this breakthrough to reward myself by learning to play chess. Lu knows how all the pieces move, but has no real strategy. She and I use the plastic version so the pieces are much easier for me to move. I've beaten her three times out of four today, but I don't think she was paying much attention. But that's fine with me.

Perhaps I should invite Ava over. She adores playing games...

The Visitation (AKA the Drunken Stupor?)

Lucifer Force

Neruo started his journey from the back window, slowly floating in the direction of his old "rival's" residence. The two Feien hadn't seen each other since Ruya left town, and the heat Feien was more than happy to go visit Silva again.

As he glided past the old fence, he wondered what has happened to Silva since their last meeting. Had he grown? Had he found someone new? How was his training going? Neruo would've brought a present of sorts with him, if he knew more about Silva's other interests.

Neruo shrugged mentally, finally coming upon the house in question. Hopefully Silva would be there. There would be no reason he wouldn't be, but Silva was Silva. Neruo smiled and landed on an open windowsill, peering in. He gently knocked on the wood of the sill out of habit.

"Hello? Is anyone home?"

Ice Queen

Silva looked up from where he was having his wound tended by Nack, then shoved the skunk boy away and got to his feet. The last thing he wanted was for Flower Boy to see that he was letting someone help him. Even if Nack WAS technically Silva's property and meant for that sort of thing.

"Been a while." Silva said, taking in the changes in the other feien with a casual air. He was actually the first feien Silva had seen that was even close to his own height. It figured. "What, no flowers?"

Lucifer Force

Neruo looked Silva over, taking mental note of his comments about flowers. It was good to see Silva again, and although his height changed, his attitude didn't. Still the same old Silva, but it was a good thing. Neruo smiled/

"Yes, it has been a while. Congratulations on your growth. You look fantastic!"

He chuckled, showing his empty hands. "No, I didn't bring you any flowers. Usually that sort of thing is meant for females, and I certainly hope you haven't suddenly become one."

He wondered if he could stand on his tip-toes and reach Silva's height. "So, how have you been?" asked he, genuinely.

Ice Queen
Silva snorted, unable to help himself. "Second time today someone's accused me of being a girl. Must be the hair." He walked over to the edge of the windowsill, dropping down and ignoring the comment about how he looked.

"Ruya left." He said, unemotionally. But it was an answer to the question of how he'd been in a strange way. He stared at the abandoned house behind his, chewing slowly on his toothpick.

Lucifer Force
Neruo kneeled, choosing to stay a ways from Silva in case he didn't want company so close. He sighed, letting his smiled drop.

"Yes, I know she left. But I'm sure she'll be coming back. You needn't worry about it too much, though I understand if you're sad."

Finally deciding to sit, he did so, folding his "disgusting" wings behind him. This is when he was glad they weren't too large and cumbersome. He cast a worried glance at Silva, hoping he was okay. They may have been rivals at times, but Neruo still considered Silva a friend of sorts.

Ice Queen
"That's the problem." Silva muttered, still not looking at the other male. "I don't really care." Now. He added silently. Finally he glanced over. "You changed any since growing?"

He hadn't. Not really. Just gotten taller. Maybe a little colder...

Lucifer Force
The orange Feien looked up at the sky, obviously thinking. "Not too be of a change, I think. I mean, besides the height... I've gotten used to being so tall now. It was hard at first, always smacking my head into things. But at least that was entertaining..."

He stopped for a moment, on the verge of rambling on. Silva wasn't one to listen to such things, and he didn't feel like speaking that much to him anyway. Still, he felt that pang of concern.

"Silva, are you alright?" He couldn't help but ask.

Ice Queen
Silva snorted, but it wasn't amused. "You ever get to the point where you don't give a s**t, Neruo? Where even death looks more entertaining then the same pointless s**t every day?" He asked, almost philosophically.

His voice was calm, his tone even, as if it was a question he asked himself often.

Lucifer Force
Nerou looked thoughtful for a moment. "Do I ever get to the point where I just don't give a s**t anymore?" He pondered that. Though he never really gave the idea much though, Silva had an excellent point.

"Some days, things get very tedious or boring, yes. But death is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. So, no, I never think death would be more entertaining. At least, not my own death. Though I don't ever wish death upon anyone else..."

Ice Queen
"I'm not suicidal..." Silva muttered, almost flushing. He shoved himself to his feet, standing as he thought for a few minutes, then turned, looking at the closet door.

"I had a good thing going there for a while, you know? It's like a ******** cycle, almost. Find something to keep me entertained for a while, then get tossed out." He pulled his toothpick from his mouth and tossed it out the window before turning to look at Neruo. "You got a new girl yet?"

Lucifer Force
Neruo spoke over his shoulder. "That's good to hear. I'm glad you aren't planning anything. I'd miss you."

He stood slowly, brushing himself off. He shook one wing at a time, cleaning them while still speaking to Silva. "I'm sure you'll find something new. Maybe you should take up a sport or get another hobby?"

Finishing that task, he folded his wings again. "No, I never really considered Ruya to be mine in the first place. And no, I haven't been looking for anyone else, though I did meet a few new Feien. Yourself?"

Ice Queen
"Just a psychopath and a few children." Silva replied, slightly amused in a dark sort of way. He leaned down, breaking off another toothpick from the windowsill and sighing slightly, leaning his shoulder against the side of the windowframe and looking outside again.

"They're both too short." He tacked on, derisive laughter in his voice. "But hell, maybe you're right. Maybe I do need a new hobby." Absently his mind drifted to the shot that Berra's fork had fired, wondering if it could be possible for him to do. It had been dark energy, and he was a shadow feien... it could be plausible...

"What have you been doing?"

Lucifer Force
Neruo chuckled. "Same thing I do every day. I should get a new hobby as well. I think I've made enough potions to effectively destroy at least one room in the house, so it must be best to stop now." He tilted his head, looking out across the front of the house. What other hobbies could he delve into?

"We're recently gotten some sort of hyperactive marble. It crashes into everything, so I've been dodging potential concussions for a few days..."

Well, that bit of info probably bored Silva half to death...

Then, in the midst of the silence, Neruo had an idea. "I think we should come up with some sort of activity we could do together. You know, whenever you feel like you 'don't give a s**t anymore'."

Ice Queen
"As... attractive as that sounds, I don't think you're my type." Silva replied, a smirk pulling at his lips. "Too damn flat-chested." He hated to admit it, but talking with Neruo reminded him of a time when he had actually cared. Somewhat. About something.

Then he fell silent, thinking about what he might have in common with the orange feien... he couldn't come up with anything. Other then the past.

Lucifer Force
Neruo shook his head, happy that Silva seemed to be in a good mood again. " I didn't exactly mean it that way, but you know that." he said, still smiling.

His gray eyes turned to the sky, where they stayed for a while. He quietly sighed, wondering if there was he could do to help Silva, or if Silva wanted help at all. Of course, it wasn't really his problem. But still...

Ice Queen
"You drink?" Silva asked finally, not able to think of anything else. He turned, looking at Nick and Nack. "Go get the bottle." He told them, talking of the mini beer bottles that Ice had gotten him for his growing. He felt like getting drunk, figured Neruo might be entertaining that way.

Lucifer Force

Neruo looked up, surprised. "I've never drank anything alcoholic, no. My Bond can't drink anything but water, so it's never around the house. I suppose I could try it, though..."

He had often heard stories about what people do when drunk, but he didn't plan on getting so hammered. But still, this could've been Silva's strange way of bonding with someone.

Ice Queen
Silva nodded, dropping down to the ground to take the bottle from the boys and head back to the sill. He took the cap off, pouring it into the water bucket/bottle cap and handing the cap over to Neruo before drinking directly from the bottle himself. It was quite a feat, since the bottle was half his size, but he did it well enough to make it seem he had done so before. Often.

Lucifer Force
Neruo took the cap with a polite 'thank you' and looked at it. It smelled strange, but it didn't seem to hurt Silva as he took a massive swig from the bottle himself. Shrugging, he took a few sips, trying to figure out just what it tasted like.

"What exactly is this, Silva?" he asked, sniffing the liquid once again.

Ice Queen
Silva blinked, pulling back and eyeing the bottle for a second. "Not sure, actually. Ice usually gets Cherry Fizz..." He turned, looking at the boys. "You guys ever heard of a Welsh Dragon?"

"Nope. Is it any good?" Nick asked, looking eager.

"Not bad. Kind of... green though." Silva said, looking into the bottle before taking another drink. He smirked, putting the bottle down and wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. Then he blinked, wondering why he felt a little warm.

Lucifer Force
Neruo felt a pang of disgust. "Drink green liquid? That doesn't sound very good to me. Makes me think of plant food... Or liquified spinach. My Bond each that kinda of thing. I wouldn't recommend it."

He took another sip, blinking curiously at the small boys. One was a skunk? "Who might you two be?" he asked, wondering why they almost served Silva like attendants.

Ice Queen
"Nick." Silva said, nodding to the wolf boy, then handing over the bottle. The wolf boy took a gulp, offering it to the Skunk boy, only to get turned down and take another gulp. "And the pretty boy there is Nack." He finished, taking the bottle back before Nick drowned himself.

"We make sure Silva doesn't kill himself." Nack said, dropping down on the sill and eyeing the other feien curiously. "Or anyone else."

"Other then rats. We don't mind that much." Nick called, stealing the bottle again.

"They're like my brats." Silva said, his narrow eyes turning a little lazy as the alcohol went through his system. It was stronger then he was used to, despite the mild taste. "Know what's really sad? I'm actually looking forward to a new bloom."

Lucifer Force
Neruo reached out a hand to pet Nick, who was closest to him. He wondered how they got so small.

"So, you got a ticket, too?" Nerou asked, his eyes blinking a bit out of sync now. "I'm looking forward to another Feien around the house myself... Are you hoping for any gender in particular...?"

The orange Feien chuckled at the thought of Silva having a child of sorts, besides these two. Silva, a father-figure. Or would he all but kill the child? Neruo shrugged, taking another drink. He felt a tad sleepy, though.

Ice Queen

"Yeah. Ice said the brat would be mine to raise. Me, a father." Silva snorted, a genuine smile of amusement pulling at his lips. "Feel sorry for the kid. No matter what gender it is."

Nack looked down, strangely silent.

"We're gonna help train it." Nick said, grinning crookedly. He was already two sheets to the wind, having a low tolerence. "And keep it from going into the closet."

Silva didn't say anything, but shrugged, silently agreeing that he had a point. Risking his life was one thing, letting his kid risk their life was something else entirely.

Lucifer Force

Neruo chuckled a little louder this time. "Silva, I just just imagine you swearing her head off at a son who wasn't as tough as you'd like. What if he ends up being nice, like Shalafi? How badly would you beat him, I wonder?"

And then another thought came to his drunken mind. "What if the bloom is a pacifist? What then?"

He folded his wings to give Nick more room on the sill. Hopefully they weren't allergic to birds.

Ice Queen
"Thought of that." Silva said proudly. "Gonna find out his element when he's a bloom. Make sure he doesn't come out a wuss." Then he paused, the pacifist question stumping him.

"Wht the hell do you DO with a pacifist?" He finally asked, looking at Neruo blankly. "Even the pretty brat over there can fight if he has to..."

Nack flushed, but didn't argue. He had gotten into fights with Nick more often then he liked to admit. And once in a while he had actually won.

"Could... teach him to surf or somethin..." Silva went on thoughtfully, thinking out loud because of the alcoholic influence.

Lucifer Force
Neruo burst into a random fit of giggles. "What do you do with a pacifist...?" he choked out between his laughter. Why was it so funny? He didn't even know, and it didn't matter.

"Surfing pacifists... What if they bloom comes with some fruity element or something? Invite me over when you blow up at the child, please. I'd love to see that..."

Suddenly, Neruo sat up, completely straight. Much more talkative when drunk, it seemed. "What if the bloom is pink?!"

Ice Queen
"Then he had damn well better be a female." Silva replied, making very little sense and not caring. "If he's a girl then he can be as fruity as he wants." He finished, nodding.

He reached over, picking up the bottle and pouring some of the green liquid over himself accidently, then licking it off his arm. "I meant to do that." He muttered, making Nick snort and Nack bite back a laugh.

Lucifer Force
Neruo nodded firmly. "Yes, he better be a girl. Otherwise, he wouldn't live up to your high standards, Silva. Such high standards..."

His gray eyes landed on the green that coated Silva's arm. "What happened? Didju sneeze? Bless you, then." He nodded again, smiling, and laid down on the sill. He yawned, feeling pleasantly warm inside.

Ice Queen
"No, dumbass. The bottle attacked me." Silva muttered, taking another lick. He looked over, glaring as Nack started to laugh. "What's so funny, brat?"

"N-n-nothin'." Nack replied, laughing so hard that he stuttered.

Silva nodded. "That's what I thought." Then he turned back to the subject, only to not remember what it was. He glanced over, snorting at the sight of Neruo almost asleep. The flower boy couldn't handle his liqour, he thought, falling backwards and staring at the ceiling for a second. Then he was asleep.

Lucifer Force

Blech!

"Oh, excuse me..."

Another giggle was issued forth and Neruo promptly passed out. Alcohol, apparently, was not his forte. Curling up his wings, he started to slight snore.

Ice Queen
Silva didn't hear. He was already out cold.

"Oooohhhh...." came a moan from the tiny tupperware bed sitting on the kitchen counter. His head throbbed a bit, but the pain wasn't too bad at all. What happened? How'd he end up here? The last thing he remembered was...

Ooh. The drinking. Neruo sat up completely, touching his sensitive head. He had to admit, though the aftereffects were a tad harsh, the alcohol made his loosen up a bit and bond with Silva over something Silva himself actually liked.

He turned over, resting his head on his arm. The bowl was filled with scraps of fabric for blankets. Nick and Nack must've brought him home, bless their souls. He'd have to thank them later with some sort of gift or a note. What would they like?

Neruo remembered Silva being somewhat...sad. He knew Silva would never admit it, but it was good to see the Shadow Feien feeling something other than anger for once. Perhaps Ruya would come back, and Silva would be happy again? If she did, Neruo knew he'd be happy for his "rival".

But enough about thinking. He was still sleepy, and no one else in the house had awoken. He turned over and closed his eyes.

"Lu, would you mind cutting yourself for me?" he asked, quite serious, while sitting on the kitchen table. Crosslegged and firm, gray eyes looked up at his Bond, waiting patiently. Lu blinked at him, considering his request.

She huffed. "Why? What for? Are you going to make some new potion using my blood? I'd have to turn down your request if it's for that." Making a potion of her blood wouldnt be healthy, let alone very safe. Who knows what might result from using a flesh-eating monster's blood in a potion?

Neruo chuckled. "Forgive my request without explanation." He pointed to the book in front of him from which he'd been studying for over an hour. "I want to practice healing you. I've decided to actively pursue that goal again."

Lu perked up. "Oh, well, if it's for progress' sake, then allow me." Opening up her lips, she revealed a row of extremely sharp teeth. Taking these tools to her bare arm, she dug in. Not too deep, but enough to draw blood, she leaned over to present it to the Feien. "Good enough?" she asked.

"Wonderful." He stood and walked to her, holding out his hands. When he reached her arm, he closed his eyes, concentrating. Feeling some energy flowin gfrom his fingertips, Lu watched. Neruo tried to force all the energy into the wound. After ten minutes of deep concentration, he opened his eyes.

The wond's bleeding supsided a bit, but no real luck. Lu began to lick at it. Neruo shook his head.

"Well, that didnt go exactly as planned, but does it feel any better?"

Between licks, his Bond answered. "I have to admit, it did stop a tiny bit of the bleeding, and it didn't feel as painful. Good try, though. You'll get there." His Bond turned about and walked away, nursing her arm.

Neruo smiled and sat down in front of his book again. Practice makes better.

The orange one flew quietly, slowly, to his Bond's shoulder. She was sitting on the couch, half asleep, drooling as usual. Neruo smiled and shook his head, sitting down upon her bony shoulder. She hadn't eaten in a while. Deciding it was for the sake of progress, he used his newfound powers of Warm Touch to awaken her. His hands began to radiate a pleasant warmth, and he placed them on her cheek.

His Bond stirred, wiped the drool from the side of her face, and turned an eye to him. "That felt good! Howdjuu do that?" she asked, liking the warm sensation on her face. Too bad she couldn't do that on cold days. More clothing irriated her skin.

Neruo smiled, quite proud of himself. "I've perfected my spells, Lu. I just used Warm Touch on you. It was apositive response, and I should record that."

"It felt good! Can you teach me that?" she asked, sitting up. It would be quite useful...

The orange one shook his head. "No, I can't. It's Feien-magic, and you are not a Feien." He still smiled, though, knowing she had a pleasant temperment about her and wouldn't be disappointed. He knew her well, and she let the subject drop.

She lifted him up gently to place him on the back of the couch so she could speak to and see him more clearly. "So, you said you perfected your spells. Does that mean your healing works?" She lifted a leg to show him a shaving cut she'd gotten yesterday evening. With a nod, he placed a finger upon the wound and raced it. Magically, it disappeared. Though it was but a tiny cut, his Bond was happy to be rid of it.

"Very nice! You're so useful." She patted his head, a childlike mannerism she kept reserved for him despite his growth. He didn't mind one bit.

"So, Lu, I heard that you'll be trying to bring home another bloom?" He sat , swinging his legs slowly over the side of the couch. His Bond nodded, leaping up from her seat in excitement.

"Yessum, I'm going to try. You know, I think it'd be really neat to have another around the house. I can tell you wouldn't mind one tiny bit." She nodded triumphantly and skipped off to the kitchen to make breakfast. Neruo flowed her, but for him, the trip took all of five minutes.

He shook his head, still keeping a patient demeanor. Being slow wasn't so bad to him anymore. Besides, it gave him more time to gaze at the scenery of the house.

Lu blasted into the kitchen where Neruo was sitting atop the table, reading another one of his books. She skidded across the tile floor and landed on her rear, but the pain that ensued didn't bother he at all. She quickly jumped up and down, bare feet smacking the tile. Neruo smiled and stood up to calm her down.

"What's going on, Lu?" he asked, gray eyes trying to keep up with her rapid bouncing. She started a frenzied bounce around the table as she spoke.

"I got a new friend for you, a friend for you! Another Feien for the house! Very pretty! So excited!"

Neruo couldn't believe it. Another bloom? Someone to take care of? This definately had to be logged in his journal once the bloom arrives. He sat down again, anxiously dreaming up wht the Feien may look like.

Lu, of course, continued her bouncing throughout.

2/08/05

Journal,

Well, the bloom has yet to arrive, but Lu has confirmed that it is, indeed, coming. And, the parents are Aria and Ian! I had no idea they bred. Perhaps they're lovers? I've only met Aria once or twice, so I really don't have any ideas, but still. Congratulations to them! I'll have to say so myself when I see them next.

The family is doing fine. My new test tubes and rack work wonderfully. I've managed to conduct safer experiments, and my healing magic is coming in handy, like I expected. The children get into more scrapes than we have bandaids sometimes. It's amusing, and I'm just glad to help.

Oh! I must go see Ava sometime. I wonder how she's doing?
