Serethiel Maerukai I've wanted to do that for a long time, Snow, so don't worry about it. Some players are just apprehensive I guess about change happening so much.. but the guild is growing nearly every day and we need to accomodate for it with better systems and better rules. Which forums do you think these should apply to(besides the main forum)? Oh, very good. I'll not worry, then! Well, the RP forums, really. At the Forum I went to, there was a moderator whose job was to handle the RP forum, and anyone who wanted to post a roleplay could PM him with their idea and get his acceptance. It worked very well, because it helped the community to interact and stick together. Also, there are so many RP forums... I have yet to look at them in detail, but can't the various towns be posted as threads?

Well, intially, all RP was meant to take place in the RP forum, and the TOWN RP threads actually started out as faction organization threads (which could be used for any purpose by the factions). I never anticipated that the faction threads would end up being purely RP, so we've changed those Town Forums into RP forums now. Thus we have those plus the main RP forum for a total of five separate RP forums. I can see why that might be confusing and difficult to navigate! I think the solution will be at some point to put good navigation intro post into the RP forum, and then link from that navigation thread to the other RP forums with some explanation. It's low on my priority list at the moment, but I definitely plan on attacking it.

Just the ones who NEVER post or have been inactive FOREVER. That's also how I feel about factions that are inactive. If you are in charge of one you need to take care of it, not leave it. All it does is clutter..
At least move them to the Archives if they come back.

Lady Liriel Baenre I agree with Quen. I hate seeing all of the people that have never posted once. But PM them first (assign mods to this task as it can be onerous). In a guild (on another account) the mods would send a polite notice to all those inactive for 3 months and if no reply, or post, was sent after a week, the inactive members were banned. Cumbersome process, but it felt nice to clean house, I guess. And the threat of banning woke up a few so they really did become active.

I wanted to go through the profile board and clear out all of the inactive characters, too, but I don't even know where to start with that. I'd need the faction leader's help.

Indeed, cleaning house is a worthy project, but one that we crew must be absolutely agreed on how to proceed. Because of other issues taking priority at the moment, house cleaning (removing inactive members, faction threads, etc.) must be put on hold. We will eventually get to it. When I eventually get maps refined, old factions will be able to be archived after their vacated dwellings and holdings have been delineated (and so active factions may seek to conquer and plunder the inactive ones).

Some characters are only inactive because the rest of their faction has gone AWOL...not to mention finding alternate employment without looking like you've totally abandoned your current employer is a royal pain in the netherregions.

I think, that the mods should get a list of mule's the ppl use...so they don't get deleted....then start weeding out the others...
