What's up? I'm new here.

How long have you been playing?
I've been playing for about 21 years now. 25 years spent playing double bass.

What model bass do you have?
I play professionally on a 1977 Musicman Stingray, or a 1969 Fender Jazz Bass.

Preferred method of playing?
My preferred style of playing is fingerstyle, or slap under certain occasions. Pizzicato on my double bass.

Personal influences?
My influences include Aston "Family Man" Barrett, Jimmy Blanton, Ray Brown, and Jack Bruce.

How long have you been playing?
Only about 3/4 months...maybe a little longer...I've just started playing bass in a proper band!

What model bass do you have?
I have 2 Fenders...that's all I know from them, apart from the fact that one's red and the other is Olympic White....both of which are custom Precision Basses!

Preferred method of playing?
I play....end of! Any method suits me just fine!

Personal Influences?
There are way too many to list, Green Day, The Clash, The Who, etc etc.

You made 'em, I'll stick to 'em! I guess I should mention I also play guitar and drums, although guitar confuses me, there's way too many strings! sweatdrop

How long have you been playing? 4years, 2 seriously
What model bass do you have? i play upright, so this probably doesn't mean anything to most of you,
3/4 size christopher carved flat back. BEST BASS IN THE WORLD.
Preferred method of playing? i don't really have a preference
Personal Influences? when i was really little i played viola, but i saw someone playing bass once and thought "what the hell am i doing on this crap when i can play bass?" and my teacher who's awesome

What model bass do you have?
I don't know..it was given to me...it's a four string it's black...except for the head...it has white gothic lettering in all caps. "RAVEN". Quite nifty...suits my dress habits...hah. Right now I'm looking for a well-priced Squier. (Help if ye can.)
Preferred method of playing?
I do whatever's needed to make it sounds right....slap on heavy parts...use strumming on smooth parts..picks or fingers on fast parts...depends on the mood, really.
Personal Influences?
I'd have to say Paul Grey from Slipknot..and...Shavo Odadjian from System of a Down...if they had a love child..I'd be it...I meant that in a totally non-gay way...no offense.
Favored Bassist/Idol Bassist?
Idolizing is such a strong word...but right now I'm working to play some stuff by Chris Wolstenholme....hurt mine fingars. ::Sigh::
Any thing you'd like to add (about the rules or anything at all?)?
I used to play my bass untuned....the E string snapped so for the longest time...I played with 3 untuned strings....Now I can play a smattering of songs by Slipknot, System of a Down, Muse, and I'm working with a friend to help her songs out. I got my set-up on Christmas....and I'm looking forward to growing and stomping as much a** as possible.

Uhh....the "most affordable"(cheapest) Yamaha bass that they sell.

Fingering, but I want to learn all methods.

any, but sometimes i play with a pick shaped piece of metal

Johnny Christ <'cause he can play the s**t out of that Musicman> once i saw and heard avenged STST a while back i just had to start playing the bass that was collecting dust in my room.

How long have you been playing?
Almost a year

What model bass do you have?
I have a Fender Squier Affinity precision bass, beginners bass in other words. I like the look (maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, alder body, painted black with white pickguard) and the feel of it, but the sound could be a little more suited to me.

Preferred method of playing?
With a pick. I use Tortex picks of all different thicknesses

Personal Influences?
Just the music I listen to and the drive to play a different instrument than most people do
