I walked in there and didn't even care that there were lights... I think I'm getting used to those now... Next... I shall master my fear of... Cars... I shudder.

Posted: Tue May 10, 2005 12:11 amSurion meets the family Ala hummed softly getting her son's diaper changed and him dressed for the day, he was definitely one peaceful child and she like that, however she was tired as her son seemed to have his internal clock mixed up
Torvil had no issue with his son's sleep schedule, however, he was a little groggy from the constant dozing at night so now he had his head against the wall. He yawned and stretched. Half dangling the blanket around her knees she carried her son past their room towards the kitchen
Surion cling to the blanket the thumb of that same hand in his mouth, his other hand clung to the tail of a small black and red plush dragon
Torvil shambled to the kitchen, intent to have a large cup of coffee to wake himself up fully. He smiled as he saw his son and wife, and slowly and softly walked behind Ala, starting to hum a happy tune. Ala was figuring out a baby swing she had ordered that had arrived, she had a feeling her son would like it's gentle movements, hearing her mate she looked over her shoulder and smiled
Torvil waved and looked at the swing with a chuckle. "Nice..." He moved to the counter and started to make some coffee. He hummed as he did so, watching Surion as he worked. "Well I got it together now lets see how it works. She placed her son and his items in the seat clipping the buckle for safety and picked up the manual reading it
Surion watched his dad from where he sat and burbled making bubbles happily
Torvil smiled. "Cool." He chuckled and started to sip at his coffee. "So uh... How's it work?" He was rather curious, as it was something quite new to him. "And Hello my darling little boy." He waved his fingers at Surion. "According to this we wind it up using this handle" she pointed at a hand crank on the top side and wound it up" then we start it by giving the swing a soft push" she sis and the swing took over keeping a gentle swinging motion at a steady rate, each time it reversed direction it made a 'tick'ing sound
Torvil chuckled. "Interesting..." He smiled softly, and moved a chair to the front of it, sitting down. "Hey..." He smiled at Surion. "How are you today little guy?" His face beamed. Ala smiled leaving her mate with the swinging chair as she prepared herself something to eat
Surion cooed and blew bubbles around the dragon's tail and for once dropped the blanket as he waved his arm around towards his father who was continuously near then far then near again to him
Torvil smiled. "Good, good." He smiled softly. "So how was your day little guy?" He chuckled and leaned forward, coffee in one hand, and one on his chin. Surion kicked his little legs happily nailing his father in the chin when the swing got close enough
Torvil chuckled and faked his heading flying back. "ugh! You got me!" He contorted his face in mock pain. "You're a strong little guy!" He chuckled and his face softened as he leaned back to take a sip of coffee. Ala chuckled softly seeing the event from the corner of her eye. "Careful love"
Surion burbled still kicking his little legs as he moved back and forth in the ticking swing
Torvil chuckled. "I'll be fine love..." He smiled at her. "And a little ego won't hurt anyone..." He nodded his head back to Surion and smiled. "Yes, my son... The best of the best..." Ala chuckled leaning against the counter to watch and eat "So what's on the go today?"
Torvil chuckled softly. "I don't know love, I've just been waking up for the past few days." He yawned and smiled at her and then his son. "When exactly do we want to make that trip?" she mused
Torvil tapped his chin. "Soon I would think... Like... Two or three days from now... We have to pack for Surion too." He smiled. "And you'll have to carry him..." "The playpen, diapers, clothing... well at least a couple sets we can always get more there,,... even if we have to have it custom made since babies really dont stay babies there, our cliff clothing... " she rattled off a list of items she felt they'd need
Torvil smiled. "We should start packing now..." He chuckled softly. "We'll have to bring a crib around too..." He said softly. "Though, I could just jump the stuff there..." He chuckled weakly. "With your permission of course...." The last thing he needed was her yelling at him. "He can sleep in the playpen love, no need to bring too much extra stuff, as for jumping it better not be straight jumps...." She looked at him seriously
Torvil nodded. "I won't straight jump..." He said softly. He looked at her. "Never again..." He rubbed his head, and smiled softly at his son. Ala nodded "Probably could put everything needed inside the playpen, kinda use it as a big 'box' and unload it from there then it's only like one thing in a nutshell.. But I really don't see the point in the crib if we have the playpen"
Torvil nodded. "I'll do that... Now if you want... We could leave today if I did..." He said softly, smiling. He took another sip of coffee, and waved at Surion again, chuckling lightly. "Visha, he's adorable...." "I wonder what your mom will say, after all to her he is 'half-way changed' " she giggled thinking of the day Mitizimi asked her about her own tail
Torvil laughed. "Who knows, probably dote the hell out of him..." he smiled softly. "Not only that, but probably spoil him to death as well..." He chuckled. Ala laughed "And wonder why he isn't growing" she giggled
Torvil laughed. "Yeah, that too..." He smirked. "And when we explain that little snippet, watch as her eyes become saucers..." Ala laughed "Well I'll leave you here with Surion to wake up I'm gonna go start gathering necessities" she pushed away from the counter and headed out of the room towards the nursery
Torvil nodded, and looked to Surion, waiting till Ala left to reach into his pocket and pull out a small box. "Okay, time for daddy and son secret time..." He smirked and pulled out a necklace that was just right for Ala. "This is what daddy got for mommy for when you were born..." Surion cooed and reached for the necklace his little fist opening and closing
Torvil chuckled softly. "No, no... This is for mommy..." He chuckled and re-pocketed it. Smiling and reaching into his other pocket he gave Surion somthing he could play with, a small dragon toy that he wouldn't choke on. Surion's hand wrapped around it's tail and he brought it to his mouth and gummed it "nyanyanya" he said has he gummed it
Torvil smiled and chuckled softly. "You are just too cute Surion you know that?" He smiled softly, and leaned forward again. "Just too cute..." "pppbbbbtttt" he said contently
Torvil laughed and stuck his tongue out at Surion. "Yes, that's right Pppppppbbbbbbbtttttt....." He laughed loudly, and finished his coffee. Ala wandered back into the room smiling at the laughter
Torvil wiped an eye and smiled at her, waving a hand. "Surion's just too fun for words love..." He hadn't noticed that he'd not put the necklace away all the way... And part of the gold strand was hanging from his pocket. Ala purred walking up behind him "Hmmmm" she said kneeling behind him her arms drapped over his shoulder, her eyes on his pocket
Torvil looked at her face. "What is it love?" He asked softly, looking at Surion with a slightly quirked, 'Mommies having a weird moment... Bear with'. The hand closest to the pocket Torvil had a chain dangling from moved over his shoulder a finger running down his back purposefully moving over the node and then to his waist where she pulled her hand away and lightly flicked at the object that caught her eye
Torvil shivered and looked at her again. "Love?" He purred softly. "Oh!" He quickly handed her the necklace from his pocket. "Is this what you were looking for?" "Wasn't looking for, I just happened to notice shinies hanging from your pocket next to your attractive butt" she purred taking it from him to look at
Torvil chuckled softly and smirked. "Is it really that attractive?" He muttered, darting a look to Surion. "And should we be talking like this around virgin ears...." "I doubt he wouldn't hear it in most places we go" she said "By the way I barely ate all those crackers... and now I'm rather tired of them what will we do with the rest?"
Torvil chuckled. "I'll eat em..." He smiled softly. "They're not that bad actually..." He chuckled. "True that love..." He smiled to Surion. "He's so cute..." His attention seemed split even between wife and son. Ala chuckled "Well I have everything packed I need for Surion and I, you just need to add your stuff... "
Torvil chuckled and got up, pulling Ala into a short kiss and a strong hug. "Alright..." He smiled softly, kissing her forehead and heading off to their room to pack. Ala purred softly and watched him leave before walking to Surion "What you think Surion, should we take your swing too?" she asked leaning next to him for a moment before stopping the swing and undoing him
Torvil came back a bit later. "I'm all packed love!" He smiled softly, and brushed his hair. "Are you and Surion ready to go?" He asked softly. "Cause if you are I'll go move the stuff and come back..." "I'll feed son while you take the stuff, then he won't be hungry for the trip, or at least for part of it..." she said with a nod heading for their room for the rocker
Torvil smiled. "Alright..." He smiled, heading for the nursery to jump the stuff, whistling softly as he moved. At this rate he'd be able to ask Asmodeus for help moving it while he was there.... Ala settled into the rocker with Surion and nursed him contently while she waited for her mate to take the stuff over
After a short while, Torvil's heavy footsteps could be heard. But not happy ones... Oh no, these where his, 'If You are not family flee quickly for my wrath comes' steps. Ala frowned looking up when she heard the footsteps, a 'what the hell' look crossing her face as she watched the door
Torvil entered, a slight twitch forming along his mouth and eye. "He wasn't there...." He said cool as ice, not mad at Ala... But at Asmodeus. "Who wasn't there?" Ala questioned curiously
"Asmodeus... He wasn't there!" He sat down on the bed with a huff. "All that was there to tell me where he was, was a note he'd sent in awhile ago..." He coughed, and said. "I'll be back when I'm back. - Asy..." "Well we can't control his... life" she said "And done properly do you really need his assistance?"
Torvil shrugged. "I was hoping to get it done faster... But you're right..." he sighed. "I've been using his time too much... I'm sure it was something important..." He muttered. "I've always told him that he needed to get a life..." Ala chuckled "Sounds like he may have listened to you then" she grinned
Torvil chuckled. "That he may have... But Asy? Who the hell came up with that name for him... Cause I sure as hell know that he wouldn't come up with one..." "I can think of hmmm one person" she said with a smirk
"Oh?" He asked, looking up. "Who would that be?" he said rather plainly. He knew very little about Ala's social life outside of the home... Which irrated him a bit... But he didn't want to be a hamper on her life, even if he was her husband. "The only silly one I know... Dia" she said getting up and putting their son on the bed while she put the Maya wrap on over her shoulder
Torvil chuckled. "Well she did seem interested in him during the birth of our son..." He chuckled. "And I did hear him say he'd be back to talk to her..." "And she did asked me a lot of questions about him when she visited the day after our son was born... I feel sorry for her though, she can't leave Kazeha right now" Ala said as she wrapped up their son in his fave blankie
"Oh?" This was new info... He barely knew Dia, and would rather have liked to get to know her better. He stood and moved to get the things they had packed. "Why's that love? She do something wrong?" "No, remember that demon tribe I was mentioning to you a while back?" Ala asked as she picked Surion up and proceeded to position him in the sling
"Somewhat... Not a lot..." He scratched his head. She'd kinda said a little on it, but he'd be damned if he could dredge it up. That irritated the hell out of him, his memory was better that THAT! He started to growl trying to pull it all forward. "Well her mother is the daughter of said tribe's leader... and her and her mother were the reason for the attack on Kazeha 20+ years ago, they were trying to find them... and during Dia's recent quest bounty hunters temporarily captured her" Ala explained grabbing Surion's dragon stuffie and sticking it in a small black canvas diaper bag
Torvil nodded slowly. "Ah..." he stroked his chin. "That doesn't sound too good... But it seems she's come out of it okay..." He murmured. "She looked um... Not like she usually does..." He said softly. "She grew her wings while she was away, as for her tail and horns.. she's recently stopped hiding them... I saw her when she first got back from her quest Torvil, she looked awful, banged, bruise, cut, a royal mess... I healed her while we were talking" Ala sighed
Torvil frowned. "Oh..." He murmured. "Well I hope the hunters didn't go without their proper karma..." He coughed slightly. "And if she happened to have anything of them if they didn't I could see to it that they do..." He muttered. "I have a feeling she burned anything she had been wearing it was really a mess, she was a mess. I had to get Estra to fetch her Pae egg from HQ cause she got taken before she had had a chance to go retrieve it"
Torvil nodded slowly. "Oh..." He murmured, a slight growl at the injustice in his mind if they hunters had escaped. "Well then..." He made a mental note to talk to Asmodeus about it later if what he thought was happening was happening... Ala nodded and pulled the end of he wrap snug before draping the extra fabric over her shoulder to give her son darkness to sleep in a they traveled
Torvil smiled and walked to her, and kissed her cheek. "Lets go before I get even more mad and pitch a ranting fit..." He shook his head. "We both know that I don't need that..." "No, you don't" she said heading for the door turning off the lights as they went
Torvil moved with her, and smiled softly, quite content now, and letting the Dia incident slip into the back of his mind so that his mood didn't die. Ala purred, she didn't worry about telling the keeper of their departure, the keeper had already agreed to stay for a couple months to tend shop. She unfurled her wings as she exited the house turning to wait for him
Torvil with is wing already spread, walked to her and smiled. "You take off first, that way I can catch you if you have trouble." He smiled and flapped his, waiting for her to take off into the sky. Ala smiled and nodded lifting into the sly with strong beats of her wings, her insides may still be mildly sore but her wings were strong
Torvil smiled and took to the air, following behind her at a very close distance, able to catch her easily if she were to fall. He would do every thing in his power to make sure his wife and son were safe. Ala hummed softly to her son, she knew he was asleep and hoped he'd stay that way for a while
Torvil smiled, able to pick up his wife's humming over his wing beats, but only so much of it. He chuckled softly to himself as he flew. Hours later they neared their normal resting stop, the tree from which the cliffs were visible from
Torvil waited to see if Ala would land to rest, needing a short one for himself, his wings were a tad sore... Which was another irritant. Ala descended gently and landed atop the thickest branch stretching then relaxing her wings
Torvil smiled and landed softly. "How you holding up, and How's Surion?" He asked softly, his wings relaxing against his back. Ala lifted the fabric a little to peak in "Gumming that dragon and clutching his blankie" she said with a smile letting the fabric fall to reveal her awake son
Torvil chuckled. "He's so quiet..." He smiled, moving over and brushing their son's face with his fingers and beaming with fatherly pride. "Now how about you?" Surion let go of his dragon rooting after his father's fingers as it brushed his cheek
"Not bad, he's a little heavy after a while but the weight is distributed evenly so I should be good to go for the last le of the trip" she shifted the diaper bag to her other hand
Torvil smiled. "I'll carry him if he's an issue..." He chuckled at Surion. "I think he'll need to be fed when we get there..." He kissed Surion and looked to Ala. "I mean, if he's heavy then I'll take him for you..." Ala chuckled "There is one thing I like about this carrier" she said rearranging her son a bit inside it and rearranging her top, within a few minutes she had Surion feeding while still in the carrier. she wrapped her arms around her son to make sure he stayed close and then looked to her mate "Shall we continue?"
Torvil chuckled softly. "If you can fly and feed at the same time then sure..." He smiled softly, his wings flapping ready to take off again. "Shall be interesting..." Ala laughed and nodded heading back into the sky at a slightly slower pace
Torvil smiled and flew behind her still, making sure she landed at the cliffs before he did. He knew that they could expect little in the way of greeting, it being so late and all. Most people were at home. Ala landed softly in the same area they always did and repositioned her son again as she folded her wings as he was done feeding and had returned to his dragon
Torvil smiled and landed, brushing his son's head softly with a finger. "Lets head home now shall we, and get it set up for Surion..." He smiled, and kissed Surion then Ala softly on the cheeks. Ala nodded and thought for a moment before turning and heading in the direction of their home away from home "Get it all set up then we can decide what to do next" she said with a nod
Torvil chuckled. "Like crash our parent's house and show off our child?" He smiled, and wrapped an arm around Ala so he could be closer to her and Surion as they walked. "Maybe Mikiri and Vina as well..." "Sounds like a definite plan" she grinned
Torvil chuckled and nodded, nuzzling Surion's head softly and raining kisses down onto his peach-fuzzy scalp, feeling in the mood to be close to his youngest child. Ala laughed "Lets get into the cave and you can snuggle while I unpack" she said letting her wings loose again knowing they'd have to go up
Torvil chuckled. "Okay...." He unfurled his wings and pulled away, heading up ahead of her to make sure their cave didn't have any visitors. Ala smiled and followed after him pulling the loose fabric of the wrap over their son
Torvil landed on the landing of the cave and entered, looking about and finding it as they'd left it. Ala followed him in folding her wings. she moved to the pallet bed and pulled her son from the carrier laying him on top of his blanket on the bed with a smile and a kiss
Torvil purred and came over. Sitting down next to his wife and son. "My wife is gorgeous beyond all measure, and my son is cute beyond all words... Am I not he luckiest man alive?" He purred, leaning over to give them both a kiss. Surion's on the forehead and Ala's on the lips. "And the father of 3 more, of course you are" she leaned over Surion giving Torvil a soft kiss before she got up and started unloading all the stuff she had put into the playpen
Torvil smiled and spent that time cuddling and playing with his newest child. A slight pang of guilt told him that he should have done this more with his other children... But he pushed it aside. Ala hummed softly as she put away all her clothing save one which she changed into which was just a simple dear skin skirt and top which upon inspection she felt looked eve better on her then the last time she had worn it. she put away all Surion's things leaving his couple of toys in the playpen but stacked the diapers and wipes and everything else nearby, within around 20 mins she was done
Torvil looked up from his playing and cuddling with his son to look at his wife. "I should probably get some more clothes today, nothing so... Uhm... Old..." He chuckled softly, and nodded his head. "Well should we get going or wait a little longer?" Ala laughed "I want to see their expressions, we didn't exactly pre-announce our arrival here today."
Torvil chuckled and picked up Surion as he stood. "Okay then, let's go..." He smiled and nodded his head, holding Surion close to him. Ala nodded "I'll go in first" she said with a giggle scooting ahead of him and heading out of the cave
Torvil smiled and followed Ala, knowing that it would be obvious when she entered that she was no longer pregnant. She'd never been one to hold baby weight for long... He grinned. Not that she looked bad with it either... Ala giggled running her hands down her nearly flat belly and there was a slight bounce to her walk, she was excited, didn't really matter who entered first as long as Torvil carried their son it would be obvious... Arriving at her mother-in-law's cave she grinned and started walking in "Hello? Mom? Dad? she called out
"Ala?" Mitizimi called out from the kitchen. "What's the occasion? Usually you call ahead... Is everything alright?" Her voice sounded a little worried as the sound of her moving towards the front was heard. "No, nothing wrong, we're fine, just have someone for you to meet" she said walking further into the cave towards the kitchen
"Oh and who would..." Mitizimi spotted Ala and suddenly she let out a happy cry. "Ala! You had the baby!" She ran to her daughter-in-law and scooped her up into a happy hug. Ala laughed "Yes I did, a few days ago now" she said returning Mitizimi's hug
Torvil smiled as he entered. "Meet your new grandson... Surion!" Mitizimi put Ala down and walked over, she looked down and frowned. "But he's so tiny!" Ala chuckled "He's only an infant, he isn't going to grow as fast as the normal Dragonic child."
"But he's such a tiny baby...." Mitizimi said concerned. "He looks under ten pounds!" She pouted. "Aren't you worried..." Torvil looked up at her. "He's almost nine pounds mother..." Ala shook her head "Any bigger and I think I coulda torn in two birthing him, For the average single birth child he's actually on the heavy side"
Mitizimi shook her head. "Torvil was ten pounds even when he was born... The rest were near about twelve..." She tapped her chin. "But then, the two of you are rather short..." Ala giggled "Yes we are, and I'm not exactly a big person. Don't worry Mitizimi, the mednin's wouldn't have let us leave right away if there was a concern about his size"
Mitizimi nodded. "Well Korvil's out on a long hunt..." She frowned. "Seems there was a bit of a shortage of late with local game..." She frowned. "So everything's gone and gotten more expensive... Vina's trying to fix it... But I don't know what she can do..." Ala nodded "Doesn't sound like a good thing to have the game more expensive" she said
Mitizimi nodded. "Yeah, especially because nothing else went up in value..." She frowned. "But no matter... We're trying our best..." She patted Ala's cheek and then her sons. Then ran a finger lightly over her grandson's face. Torvil smiled softly at his mother. Surion stopped gumming his dragon and looked directly as his grandmother with his blue eyes then proceeded to burble and blow bubbles at her
Mitizimi let out a soft squeal of delight. "Ooooh! He's so cute!" She let out a girly giggle and waved at the little baby. "So sweet!" She smiled and leaned down closer to him. Ala giggled "Love you gonna let your mother hold her grandson?"
Surion reached towards her still grasping his blanket tightly in his little fist still burbling away
Mitizimi blushed. "You'll let me hold him..." She looked nervous. Torvil smiled and slowly handed his son to her. Mitizimi took Surion super gently and the positively beamed with grandmotherly pride. Surion's waving arm blanket and all batted gently at Mitizimi's face as he looked up at it
Mitizimi let out a light hearted giggle as she lowered her face a little more to plant a soft kiss on the boy's forehead. "He's so sweet..." She purred happily. Ala smiled climbing onto a nearby chair to sit down "Sweet little Surion, Now meeting his grandmother.. his only grandmother for the first time" she said happily
Torvil smiled and nodded, not mentioning Ala's mother, who now resided about twenty feet bellow the Balan shop. "Aye." "But what of your mother Ala?" Mitizimi said softly. "I never have met your parent's or heard you talk of them..." She handed Surion back off to Torvil. Ala bit her lip "I don't know my parents, never met them,... They... they became Liches when I was an infant... Lived with other families throughout the years..." she said with little to no emotion
Mitizimi looked sad then. "Oh..." She shook her head. "Forget I mentioned it..." She frowned, and opened her arms to Ala for a hug. Ala smiled softly and walked over to her after standing up again to give her a hug
Mitizimi hugged her close and started to hum softly, more to comfort herself than for Ala, who didn't seem to need it. Torvil smiled softly and looked down at Surion. "And that's grandma..." Ala looked up at her mother-in-law with a smile "I have a mother now, why should I need two" she said
Mitizimi smiled softly at Ala and brushed her cheek. "You're such a sweetie you know that..." She kissed her forehead and sighed. "Alright, I really should get back to making breakfast... You should go see the others..." Ala chuckled and nodded "We'll see you again, we're very likely staying a few days, we did after all bring his playpen and diapers and all that good stuff" she said with a smile as she broke away from Mitizimi
Mitizimi smiled. "I would love to see you again... Korvil isn't to come home for another day or two..." She shook her head. "I miss him so very much." Torvil nodded. "I'm sure you do mom..." "We will come see you again, promise" she gave Mitizimi's hand a squeeze then headed for the entrance of the cave
Torvil nodded and followed his wife, catching up with her. "Do you want to hold Surion?" He asked softly. "I mean, you've gone a bit without..." He said. "Sure, perhaps you can break the news next" she winked " I think your sister's is close then Vina's from here that would probably be the best place to go next" she said taking her son, his blanket and dragon from her mate
Torvil nodded and headed for Mikiri's. He felt a bit sad at handing over Surion to Ala... But he did need more mommy time right? Right?! Well at any rate, he smiled none the less, seeing how sweet the two looked together... Perhaps that was why it was easy for him to give him to her... They just... Were perfect together. He smiled and walked. Ala sensed his emotion but said nothing, if he wanted or needed to say something about it he would. she followed behind Torvil, falling a bit behind as they neared the cave
Torvil entered the cave. "Sis?" "In here Torvil!" Mikiri stuck her head in. "Though it would be nice to know you were coming, then I'd of made more food." "Nah, we're not here to mooch..." He chuckled softly. "Torvilll!" She huffed at him. Ala laughed as she entered, she had purposefully stayed back until she knew Torvil had his sister's attention before walking in
Mikiri froze. "ALA! You had the baby!" Torvil laughed. "Ohhh you shut up Mister! You should have told me!" Mikiri hopped the counter and hurried over to see her nephew. Ala was giggling quite a bit listening to her sister-in-law "Meet Surion" she said with a wide grin
Mikiri smiled and moved over, leaning down. "Well hello there Surion..." she cooed. "He's a little small though..." She mused. "Deja vu..." Torvil chuckled. "Very" Ala chuckled along with her mate
Surion pulled the stuffed dragon from his mouth and held it up to her, it swayed in his grasp and the damp, baby-drool soggy surface easily got Mikiri
Mikiri giggled and wiped it away. "Awww..." She took the dragon for a moment and kissed it, then handed it back to him. "Aren't you just the sweetest thing..." She kissed his forehead and stood up fully again having been nearly doubled over to reach him. Ala giggled softly "You can hold him if you want, it's got to be easier then bending over that far"
Mikiri smiled and took him softly, holding him with a bright beaming smile. "He's so cute! I see a lot of the both of you in him..." She kissed lil Surion's forehead again and nuzzled him. "He definitely smells like Torvil though..." Ala laughed "Somehow that wouldn't entirely shock me" she caught the stuffed dragon as it fell from his grip his drooly hand batting playfully at her as he blew bubbles and burbled
Mikiri giggled. "Okay... Who wants him now?" "Uh.. I'll take him..." Torvil said slowly standing up. Ala nodded she knew he wanted to and she didn't mind "How is your family doing Mikiri?" she asked as Surion was passed to his father
"Good, Jokar's got kids now..." She smiled and bit a finger. "Seemed like yesterday I was telling him not to play in rummage dumps..." She shook her head. "They grow up so fast... All of them do..." Torvil smiled and held his son. "Seems like yesterday he was giving us a hard time for 'playing' in a rummage dump" she smirked
Mikiri laughed. "Well the two of you should know better..." She shook her head. "But then... Me and Malkar did the same not too long ago..." She blushed. Torvil laughed softly. Ala giggled "Eh when the urge calls, it calls... He was constantly asking about when I was going to have my babies"
Mikiri smiled. "And now you have..." She smiled, and rubbed her belly. "And I suddenly have the urge to have another set... I'll have to pin Malkar for awhile for that..." She grinned. Ala laughed "Somehow I have a feeling we wont be having any more for a long time personally... It was hard enough to get pregnant the last time and we only wound up with one child, a very cute loveable child, but still only 1"
Mikiri nodded. "I wouldn't be surprised..." She mused softly and nodded her head. "Well I hope to have a few more... Rhazar had quite a few till she stopped..." She looked to Torvil with a smile. "You remember them right? They're all hunters." Torvil nodded slowly, rocking Surion. "Well that's what I get for my heritage I guess" Ala said and walked over to her mate and smiled taking the edge of the blanket he tucked it around her son who had dozed in his father's arms, the pattern of the blanket was easily visible but Ala paid no notice as she stuffed the dragon in the diaper bag
Mikiri smiled. "Nice blanket..." She mused softly. "Where did you get it?" "Visha..." Torvil said softly smiling at Surion as he slept. "Come again?" "Visha, she gave it to us on the last visit we were here after we attended the service..." Ala said
Mikiri stood there wide eyed. Torvil looked up. "Oh calm down..." He muttered. "What do you mean calm down... Visha gave you a blanket for Her Sake!" "Not I think it was for Surion's sake..." Torvil chuckled. "You know what I meant!" Ala looked back and forth between them hoping Mikiri wouldn't wake Surion up, he was most certainly not a fan of really loud voices
Mikiri pinched the bridge of her nose. "Okay, okay... Sorry, I forgot that she's not that divine of a figure to you..." "You'd understand if you met her in person..." Torvil said softly, kissing Surion. "I'm sure I would..." She sighed. "Well I'm sure you have elsewhere to be... Sorry to have gone off there..." Ala stared at the floor for a moment biting her lip
"Its okay sis..." Torvil stood. "We'd hoped to stay for a bite to eat if you don't mind." Mikiri instantly brightened. "Ooo! Yes, please, come sit! I have leftovers!" Ala smiled softly feeling relief as she followed her mate
Torvil smiled and looked at her, sitting down with Surion in his arms. "Something small though, we do have to be going." "I know, wouldn't want to delay you... Vina would skin me..." Mikiri said cheerfully. Ala chuckled "Never know with Vina, especially depending on what time of month it is" she said also taking a seat
Mikiri nodded. "Or if she's molting... I've heard even her husband avoids her then..." She giggled and came out with food. Torvil couldn't help but chuckle. Ala chuckled "She usually locked herself away in her room when she lived at the shop"
Mikiri nodded. "Aye... I heard her and Joman having a tiff once... From here..." She tapped the table. "And they were home..." She pointed outside. Ala raised a brow "That was some 'tiff' if you heard it from here"
Mikiri nodded. "Over who left the window uncovered... Of all things..." She tapped her chin. "I think they were just uh... arguing..." "I hope so" Ala said with a sigh knowing her daughter had had male troubles in the past, she certainly hoped it wouldn't repeat
Torvil ate slowly and tapped his head with a hand. "They'll be fine I think..." He said softly. Mikiri nodded. "Considering the next day they didn't leave the house..." Ala laughed "I can only guess what they did" she grinned
Torvil chuckled and picked held Surion, finished eating. "Ready to go and visit her love?" Mikiri nodded. "I really should let you guys go... I have stuff that needs to be finished before Malkar gets home from the trip..." Ala nodded "Yup we might as well head out" she turned to Mikiri "Thankyou for the food"
Mikiri smiled. "My pleasure..." She stood and took the dishes, heading out as Torvil headed for the cave entrance. Ala followed after him "So you brought him in to meet mom, I surprised your sister, how do we want to introduce him to Vina?"
Torvil chuckled. "I don't know..." He mused, and stopped. "Do you want to hold him?" He looked at her. "Sure love" she said stopping beside him
Torvil handed Surion off to Ala with a soft smile. Sure, he didn't like not holding their son, but why hoard him... Ala did more work anyway. Ala kissed their sleeping son softly "you know, we could always try and wake him up and let him introduce himself by giving him the attention he loves that makes him babble"
Torvil chuckled. "That we could..." He said softly, looking at her. "That we could..." He kissed her cheek and then Surion's head. "But we'll have to be closer to Vina's for that..." Ala nodded and continued to walk as they got closed Ala woke their son up who looked at them with blinking eyes as if to ask 'what do you want?'
Torvil leaned over and started to give Surion little kisses and smiling. "You're the bestest little boy in the world yes you are. Ala held back her laughter and watched her son as he went from blinking to batting at his father's face, cooing and burbling and blowing bubbles
Torvil chuckled and kissed his son's hands. Vina came out of the house, hands on her slightly bulging belly... She looked as if she'd let her self go, as she was a bit heavy in a few other areas as well. "Hello Vina sweetie" Ala said noticing Vina's appearance, she said nothing about the weight though
Vina smiled. "Hey..." She sounded a little tired, but smiled anyways at Surion. "Little brother was born I see..." She purred and walked over, looking at him. Ala nodded "Yes, meet Surion" she was curious about her step-daughter's tiredness at this time of day
Vina smiled. "Can I see him?" She opened her arms, her eyes sparkling. Torvil looked to Ala. Ala nodded and handed him blanket and all to Vina
Vina took him with a smile and then sat on the ground putting him in her lap near her belly. "Say hello to your nieces and nephews, brother Surion..." She smiled, red runnels starting to run slowly down her face as she smiled. Ala smiled and looked at her mate
Surion babbled and blew bubbles
Torvil beamed. "All of our babies are having babies it seems... Save Torvin and Surion..." He mused quietly to her. Vina smiled and kissed Surion's forehead. "And hopefully they'll be close enough to your age that you can enjoy them..." she smiled. "Well we are grandparents at least 5 times over, already, more never hurt" she giggled "When do you expect your clutch?" she asked Vina
"Whenever they come... Joman said a few months... I said a few days..." She blushed. "Probably a week or two..." She touched her belly. "We found out just before he left on the hunt..." Ala chuckled "Sounds like someone else in my position, a mother to be who isn't sure when" she said "With all hopes he's back by then"
"A few days..." She mused. "Along with every other male in the cliffs, excluding those not of age to hunt, and dad here..." She pointed at Torvil as she played with Surion. Torvil looked at his feet. "I should probably find them and help out..." He mused. "If you want to love, might be good bonding time with your father since you never got to do that as a kid.... It's up to you... I wont stop you and I'll still be here when you get back if you chose to go" Ala said looking at him
Torvil looked conflicted. "You sure you don't mind?" He asked. "Are you sure you'll be alright here with Surion?" He really did want to go though... Ala nodded "I'm sure love, I have our entire family right here to help me if I need it" she said with a nod
Torvil nodded and moved over to Ala, giving her a kiss and then walking to Surion and knelling kissed him and Vina, before walking a bit a ways. "I'll be back!" He waved and shimmered. Ala smiled softly seeing him disappear "Well now it truly is just the ladies" she chuckled and sat beside Vina
"We still have the younger males... Jokar is still here... But only because he's a newlywed..." She giggled. "And Surion's here..." She stood slowly and offered him back to Ala. Ala took her son from Vina "I don't think Surion is going on any hunts in the near future" she giggled
Vina smiled. "I would hope not..." She rested her hand on her belly. "Twins, Joman said..." She mused quietly Ala smiled "Better then none, I've very happy for you Vina, Children are a blessing, even more so when they are hard to conceive"
Vina nodded. "Turned out it was me..." She blushed hotly. "I uh... am the most fertile right after my uh... Yeah..." She bit her lip. "Which is usually when I molt..." Ala chuckled "I can sympathize Vina, having difficulty conceiving was my part too... But it worked out in the end"
Vina nodded with a smile and blushed. "Joman said that he didn't care what we had to do... If I wanted babies were were going to have babies... And now we have them..." Ala smiled "I'm proud of you Vina" she said softly she knew it wasn't her Kerrsalian side, or what was left of that side, saying it, but more of her motherly side and Dragonic side
Vina smiled and bowed her head. "And my newest little brother is adorable..." She smiled and moved over closer to brush his cheek with a finger. "Like his lil tail?" she said with a giggle lifting the blanket from his legs
"Awww, that's so cute..." Vina reached down and poked it softly with her finger, giggling. Ala purred softly, "He was a pain to delivery, but I love him" she said happily
Vina smiled. "I'd think, he's freaking huge!" She made a big hand motion. "What's he weigh? Nine pounds? Ten?" She giggled and smiled at her mother. Ala chuckled "Just about nine at birth" she said with a smile
Vina whistled. "I hope these two aren't that heavy..." She patted her own tummy. "Oh! Were are my manners!" She smiled. "Come in... Your bloated cow of a daughter needs some company, and some help... eating some cake..." Long visit which includes talking about Vina's pregnancyVina nodded slowly and moved with her mother, a soft smile gracing her lips. "Thanks mom, you've helped me a lot today..." She waved at Surion up until they reached the door. "I'll see you guys soon!" Ala smiled giving her step-daughter a one-armed hug before disappearing down the path. she detoured and walked past the temple and down another path, she was on no hurry as she retraced her mate and her's steps away from the temple, she desired to see if she had been imagining things on that one rock face
When she reached the wall, the strange marking was still there, a clear as day. It stood there as a beacon. Bellow it however now, was a new image... An exact replica of the blanket Surion now wore. A perfect copy down to the last inch of color and texture, even though ti was painted on the rock face. Ala couldn't help but smile softly she stepped closer to look at it "I wonder why this got put here" she murmured softly running her fingers along the surface
It felt exactly as Surion's blanket did, and a soothing aura came from it... In fact... Another blanket fell into Ala's hand when she touched it, as if the painting had been a blanket... Upon closer inspection, she would find two blankets. Ala blinked "Ok now I'm extremely confused" she said looking at the contents of her hand after repositioning Surion in her arm so she had a safe hold on him
There was a note where the painting had been. It also seemed painted onto the wall where the other had been. Ala knelt beside the wall and put Surion on top of the pile of blankets before seeing if the note would do the same as the blankets had
It did, coming away quite cleanly from the wall, and feeling different from normal paper, a bit heavier, but not as heavy as a parchment would. Ala blinked and looked at the paper looking at both sides before reading the text on it's surface Didn't think is was fair for just Surion to get a blanket, after you and Torvil pretty much love the thing. Thought I'd at least let you each have one... Seeing as sharing one might be fun and all, but I don't want you guys fighting as I know you probably would... Or Torvil being a martyr, slap him next time he does that, and tell him that he can hold Surion too... Yeah, I'm watching you guys... So you keep up what you're doing... I've never been prouder
-Visha
P.S. - Oh, and tell Surion hi for me! Ala chuckled and rolled up the paper tucking it in the diaper bag Turning to her son she picked him up "Visha says hi my son" she said softly picking him up and then he blankets "thanks Visha" she said softly with a look at the marking before heading back to the cave

Posted: Tue May 10, 2005 12:14 amTorvil's Journal Dear Journal, Here I am, outside and sleeping under the stars, while my wife and newest son rest in the cave a few miles distant. I can still see the cliffs from where I sit, and I really wish I could go back. Tomorrow is Mother's day... And I'm going to pop in for a visit in the morning... I'll shimmer in with some of the kill. Dad, Malkar, and I think we're going to have to head farther out still though, game's still not all that good around here. Malkar is going to launch an investigative search on the way back to find out what's wrong with the area that all the Game is moving out. Though, I do miss having Ala and Sur by my side tonight... Oh well, I guess I have to make do as is. Joman's having issues keeping up, hopefully this trip will toughen him up a little. I sense a small distrust between him and the other males, and that worries me a little. Not from him, but from them. The council under Shezar wasn't all that open to outsiders, and I think some of that is still present... I just hope nothing bad happens. It helps that Joman has a good sense of humor... I miss Ala and Surion... I bagged about ten deer, two bears, four wolves, and a boar today. The others did about half as well, and Joman bagged two deer. He's getting better, he's a natural at stalking, he just has issues with delivering the killing blow. I can't wait for Surion to grow up enough to join me on a hunt like this, where we can bond. I wonder what He and Ala are doing right now... Probably sleeping, or else he's giving her a hard time. I really miss them, and even though I could see them now, it's my duty to the cliffs, to my family there as well as to the others, that I help them in this hunt. With any luck we'll fill the larders up full for the time being, until game returns closer to the cliffs. I tested the ley earlier... I feel that a drought is coming, a bad one... I'll let Malkar know, so he can prepare. I found out where Asmodeus went... He was with Dia... Of all things... I kinda find it funny, I'd never have marked him as a man who would build relationships. Vina's pregnant now, and I'm proud. She did beef up a little though, but I'm sure she'll lose the weight. I really wish I could be with Ala and Lil Sur right now, but I'm still here, laying on the soft grass looking up into the starry sky. They should be here... It's magical, just the perfect peace. Oh well, I'd better put this up and get ready to go. I'm going to shimmer back in the morning, and then back out a few miles more, hopefully I'll be able to double my kills. Either way, we're doing our best, and I'm not the only one who's sitting and watching the cliffs, so I know I'm not alone in this feeling of want. Not suprising that... Ah! Malkar's calling me for the hunt meeting with Korvil and Joman, and then after that I'm going to squeak in a Dragon nap. Till next...

Posted: Tue May 10, 2005 3:47 pmThe temple & Shopping for Surion Ala had returned to the cave and dropped off the new blankets and changed her son, now she decided to attend a service to see what was going in that aspect of the cliff life. She had Surion wrapped up in his blanket in her wrap carrier the corners of his blanket peeked out of the carrier as he lay in it with his plushie dragon and she neared the temple
The bell sounded as she neared, and there were others coming in with it, along with the few who looked like they were coming later. Ala smiled and walked in and took a seat where she'd sat the last time sliding the carrier off her shoulder she sat her son up in her lap
The priest was making his rounds up and down the aisle, smiling at all the people in the stone pews. He reached Ala. "I have seen you here before... and I see the child is born... Blessings to you from Visha..." he bowed. Ala nodded "thanks" she said with a smile rearranging the blanket around his little body to keep him warm in the slightly cooler evening weather
The priest's eyes widened for a moment. "Where did you get that blanket..." He asked softly, his eyes locked on it and the child. Ala blinked and looked at her son then back to him "From Visha" she said simply as it was the truth
The priest looked about ready to faint. "From... Visha..." He looked at Surion and then to Ala. "Why?" Ala shrugged "Dunno totally really, she gave it to him before he was born... after we came to the last service I attended"
The priest was shaking, "That... That..." He pointed at the child. "Messiah!" Ala stared at the priest "Uhhh....."
"It's the Messiah!" He pointed at Surion! "He's here! He's here! Visha's chosen, the one who will lead us to her again!" Ala stared at him and paled lightly, she had absolutely no idea what to say, she could feel other eyes on her as she stared at the man
There were hushed whispers as the priest continued. "You must let us have him! He's the one going to lead us to the promised land!" He got on his knees. "please!" "My son is staying with me Thankyou, he's only an infant" she said holding Surion closer to herself
Surion simply babbled and blew bubbles
"But, but..." The priest pleaded. "ENOUGH!" There was a shimmer in the air as Visha's voice cracked out. Ala knew that voice without even looking away from the priest, she'd heard it twice before, one of those times being a conversation
The priest blanched. "I've had enough of your sniveling..." The voice growled. "Enough of you twisting my words!" Visha seemed to appear, albeit just a shade. "And I'm sure as hell tired of this worship crap!" She pointed at the offerings before the statue. "There's a reason I left you with certain rites and a reason I didn't leave others... I want love, not blind following... And if you can't give me that then I don't want you!" The priest's eyes bugged. Ala looked away from the priest and looked up at the shade that was Visha holding Surion softly in her arms against her chest
Visha turned to Ala and smiled. "Hello Ala-dear... Are you okay?" She leaned down and her shade hand brushed Surion's cheek. "He's a sweetie..." She smiled. "And not the Messiah... The Messiah has come and gone... His job finished a long time ago... You're a generation off Jazin, this child's father was my chosen, and he has led you to the promised land... Here... With peace..." She smiled softly. "I had no intent of taking you up with me..." "Yeah I'm ok, now that someone isn't trying to take my son" she said softly and pulled Surion from her chest she he could look up at her and could be easier seen
Visha nodded and sighed. "I'm so going to get in trouble for this, but it was worth it... I've been getting sick of it..." Everyone stared at her. "What? All I wanted from you people was love, not worship, I'm not like my sisters..." She puffed up. They all cringed. Ala smiled softly "He loves the blanket Visha, cant get him to leave it be anywhere, including sleep. Thanks"
Visha smiled. "Your welcome... Did you get the others?" She smiled, and looked up. "I'm going to have to leave soon... Dad's already yelling..." Ala nodded "I did thanks"
Visha smiled. "No prob" Ala took a deep calming breath and nodded, she ran a hand softly over the top of her son's bald head
Visha then ascended, leaving a room of rather awed onlookers, who would forever remember the day Visha came to Ala's aid. They stared at the priest then, and more then a few scowls were shot. "Now then, I have a feeling a sermon will have to be re-written" she said plainly looking at the priest
The priest was too busy trying not to get murdered to notice the remark. Ala turned her attention to her son humming a soft lullaby and waiting for... anything to happen
"Uh... Ms. You might want to leave... We're going to have a little... 'talk' with the priest here and I'm sure you don't want your child seeing it..." Said one of the younger males who was cracking his knuckles, the women with children already leaving. Ala looked up "Oh ok" she said re-shouldering the carrier with her son in it gathering her bag and heading for the exit of the temple
"I hope they don't hurt him too bad..." Said one of the fleeing mother, children in tow. "I mean, sure, he lied... But hopefully they won't damage the temple..." "Just a matter to hope whoever continues the services follows Visha's words and wishes" Ala said to no one in particular as she walked with the small crowd
"Aye, I hear that sister-mother!" Came a general cry from the mothers with children. "He your first?" They asked softly, a few looking concerned. Ala shook her head "Nope, he's my third actually, the twins have already grown and found mates, one of them has already had 2 clutches"
A few nodded and smiled, and a bit more made happy nods. "Aye, tis a wonderful thing..." A few giggled. "Well, what's your name?" "Alatariel Rakamash, most just call me Ala though, and this is my son Surion" she said introducing them
"Ah, You're a Rakamash, good family there!" More than a few nodded. "Many have married in and out of that line..." Ala nodded "Yes, Torvil is my mate more recently have I really started to get to know more of the family" she smiled
Many of them nodded. "Tis good, tis good..." They smiled and nodded their heads quickly. "Good that you are learning... Tis wonderful you are here.." "NOT THE FACE!" Ala glanced back "He seems awful vain...." she shook her head then turned back to his son re-tucking him in the blanket that he held in his little fist
The others laughed softly. "He's always been vain..." They shook their head. "Oh Visha! My arm!" "Oh well, his fault I suppose" she said "Don't imagine there could have been a more interesting service"
The others smiled. "Don't think so..." They nodded. "Nice to know she's there..." "Always is, third time I've heard her voice, second time I've seen her" Ala said
"Lucky..." The others said. "Our children will be able to tell theirs they saw Visha..." She muttered. Ala nodded "She's a very nice lady, she was sewing this thing last time I saw her" she lifted the corner of the blanket
They whistled appreciatively and nodded. "Wow... Double lucky..." They mused. Ala sighed softly looking down at her son who was dozing off "gotta love them this age" she mused
They all giggled. "We all do... But they never hold it for long..." Many sighed. "Tis strange to see one that small..." "Surion is following the growth pattern of my original heritage, I wasn't exactly born Dragonic, seems with the help we received to conceive him it caused him to follow my birth heritage" she tried to explain
"Ah... Well I guess that makes sense..." Said one softly. A few nodded, but it was obvious that many of them didn't know what the hell she was talking about at all. Ala chuckled "I was born pure Kerrsalian, when a Kerrsalian unites with one of another kind, in this case Dragonic, their body takes on many attributes of the mate" she told them
Lights went on in the heads of many. "ooooooooohhhhh...." They said softly, nodding quickly. "Wow, that's rather interesting..." Many had to leave then, heading to their caves, but a few stayed with her. Ala chuckled rocking from foot to foot as her son slept against her, "In a nutshell he'll be smaller for a while yet to come, my twins grew at a normal Dragonic rate though"
The few left nodded happily and smiled. "And one has five already... Wow..." She mused. "Faster than my first clutch..." She giggled. Ala chuckled "They are a great couple of kids, mind you my step-daughter is too, she's expecting a clutch now too."
"Elder Vina.. Yeah... We know..." They smiled. "We were planning on throwing her a congratulations party... Something we normally don't get to do at all..." Ala chuckled "she's very much into sweets right now"
"We know... I make cakes..." One of the mothers smiled. "She bought out my entire stock..." Ala giggled "I think I'll be a little more practical and give her a water crystal as a gift, she doesn't need more sweets in my eyes, those kids will be addicted enough as it is"
They laughed but made ooing noises. "My husband showed me the one you gave him for the statue..." One smiled. "They're nice..." "I make them, could make one right here and now" she said with a soft chuckle "I liked that statue, and honestly I didn't expect change from him... "
"It was only worth Forty... You gave him something well worth more... You kinda... Took all his change..." She giggled. Ala chuckled "80% of which wound up in my horde. I honestly didn't need it. he could have kept it. the rest of that change I gave to my nephew to spoil his girl"
"Jokar Rakamash... He married my daughter..." Said one, smiling. "And spoil her he did..." She smiled softly. "But twas nice..." Ala nodded "That'd be the nephew I refer to, technically the only one I know" she admitted having never met any of Mikiri's children only seeing them briefly after her mate brought Mikiri back at what would have been her funeral
They nodded. "Jokar was very sweet, she said he reminded her of her brother.. Your husband..." Many of them smiled. "Thank Visha none of the others have turned up in their genes...:" Ala nodded "Well as much as it's wonderful to stand and chat I should get Surion to bed, I hope to run into you again" she said
They nodded. "We'll find you..." They nodded at her cave as they passed. Ala smiled and parted from them unfurling her wings briefly long enough to stretch them before folding them again and walking into her cave and took Surion over to the empty playpen laying him and his blanket down in it
Torvil looked up at the sky. He planned on shimmering in with his share of the kill come sunrise... Which was still a long way aways... Ala hummed softly feeding herself supper before curling up on the pallet feeling a little odd sleeping alone
Torvil tapped his foot, waiting for sunrise. He'd already passed up three offers for a cig... He'd stopped a long time ago... Ala woke several times through the night mostly dealing with Surion, changing his bottom and feeding him eventually bringing him into the bed with her and swaddling him as she slept under one of the other two blankets
Torvil returned a bit before sunrise, starting to make breakfast. He had to go once he was done, but he left Ala a note when he finished. He walked out to say hello and goodbye to Surion, and give them both a kiss. He slowly pulled Surion for Ala and stood with him for a little bit, looking down into his son's face. Ala opened her eyes and looked up at him "Thought you'd be gone for a couple days" she said softly
"I am..." He chuckled. "You're having a dream..." He smirked. "Congratz..." "Oh ppfftt then you cant have this other blanket, cause if this is a dream it's not truly here... and what happened at the temple last night didn't happen either"
"Oh? Care to fill me in?" He chuckled softly, sitting down next to Ala and taking the second blanket, putting it in his lap and putting Surion atop it. "Priest saw Surion's blanket, decided right then and there that Surion was the messiah..." she said
"Dumbass... Somebody set him straight?" He asked, brushing his son's cheek with a finger softly, bouncing him gently. "Yeah... Visha did" she said with a soft chuckle
"Hmph, that must have been interesting... What happened then?" He asked softly, still giving Surion attention even if he was asleep. "Let me share it with you and you'll see, oh my dear messiah" she smirked
Torvil blinked. "Come again?" He asked softly. Leaning forward slowly. Ala laughed "share the memory, it'd explain it better then I could"
Torvil nodded and scooted closer, leaning forward for her to share with him, holding Surion out a little to keep from crushing him. Ala closed her eyes as she brought her forehead closer to his and the gems touched
Torvil's eyes widened as the events played, even as he sent her the rather... boring hunt. Ala pulled away after both memories were shared "Looks like there was more interesting things happening here then out there" she said
Torvil chuckled. "Most definitely..." He smiled and handed her Surion. "I've gotta run... They're probably wondering where I went to,,,: Ala took Surion back from him "Ok love, enjoy the rest of the hunt"
"pfftt... Hardly... Rather be here with you and Lil Sur..." He grunted as he stood. "Much rather..." Ala smiled softly and nodded "You'll be back soon love, see you soon"
Torvil nodded and started to shimmer and then stopped. "OH! I visited Asmodeus earlier today... He did get a life..." And with that he shimmered out. Ala chuckled and shook her head. She got up and placed her son in the playpen and headed for the bathroom for a soak, coming out a little while clean and dressed. She fed her son and got him dressed and using her carrier headed for the market in search of cliff-style clothing for him
The Market was packed that day, full of mothers and females... Vina was there, sitting on a bench watching people walk by as she ate... cake. Ala chuckled stopping beside Vina "Still eating the cakes are you? I hop it's not cutting to badly into your finances" she said taking a seat next to her
"Nah..." She said softly. "She gives me a discount... 99.9% off if I buy in bulk..." She giggled, and smiled at her mum. Ala chuckled "She told me you bought out her stock..."
"I did that..." She giggled. "And she's been working overtime to fill in new orders... Mainly from me..." Ala chuckled "Did you hear what happened at the temple last night?"
"Yeah, seeing as we had to get the priest replaced..." She huffed. "Wish I could have gotten a lick in...." "I would have liked it too if I hadn't had Surion with me, he badmouthed you pretty bad the time previous that I went there" Ala scowled
"I know..." She growled, her hands going white knuckle around her fork, which got jabbed into the bench. "Thankfully those nice boys broke his arms, legs, and nose..." Ala nodded "He wanted to take Surion before Visha showed up"
"I heard that..." She said softly, pulling the fork from the bench and going back to eating. "And he's been revoked from preaching ever again. Confined to his cave, and pretty much uh... Well... Lets just say those boys will be watching him from now on..." Ala nodded "Makes sense, Hopefully the temple runs smoother now"
"It should... One of the under priests will step in I'm sure... Hopefully one who will listen..." She murmured. "If they value their body I'm sure they will" Ala said softly "Wanna help me find a booth that either sells or will make cliff-style clothing for Surion?"
"Sure..." Vina finished up her cake and stood with a smile. "Would love to mom... For lil Sur..." She put away the plate and fork in a pouch and got ready to walk. Ala stood up "I'm still figuring this place out so your help would be great since I'm sure you know it better then I"
Vina nodded. "Clothes would be... This Way!" She pointed and started walking, the crowd kinda flowing in her wake. Ala chuckled and followed her "I've been in here I think 3 times, once with Mikiri and twice with your father"
Vina nodded. "And one of those times you made us have to replace the stage..." She pointed at the center of it. "Which by the way you owe us two gold claw in damages..." Ala chuckled her eyes shifted and she brought her hands together "Here" she said handing her daughter a water crystal, "repair costs and extra for the future should anything /else/ happen"
Vina laughed and took it. "I was only half joking..." She smirked, putting it in a pouch regardless. "I paid your fine..." Ala laughed "Keep the rest for cakes then"
Vina giggled. "Thanks but no thanks..." She poked her pudgy arm. "I really need to cut back..." "Ok then keep the change to spoil your mate and your kids" she said with a smile
Vina smiled. "You know that's like several thousand claw right?" She shook her head. "I'd flood the economy..." Ala laughed "I probably already did it I gave the crystal statue guy one last time I was here, wanted one of his dragons.... sooo use it a lil at a time"
Vina nodded. "He deposited it at the treasury and we gave him his claw... He probably wants to give you even more change now... More out of not wanting to be taxed..." "What and have it go into my horde? no that's ok, I think I'll just stick to tiny versions of those if I have to use them, there is like 3 of them in the cliffs that aren't in the treasury too" Ala mused
"Those I know of, and we allow them in their hordes..." She smiled softly. "You've created a very new currency in the cliffs mother..." "It's a very old one with the Kerrsalians... probably not worth that much there.... I didn't intend it to become a new currency to be honest..." she mused
Vina giggled. "Its okay mom... They're still rare here, and not floating around... Worth thousand of claw... and that's a lot..." She stopped at a child's booth and smiled. "Sides, you make us richer as a whole each time you make one..." Ala laughed "I've made more of them then I can count, most of them are ... in my horde" Ala browsed the clothing she saw there, most if not all of it was far too big for Surion, being designed for children who age quickly
Vina nodded and pulled the owner aside, motioning towards Surion. The man nodded and motioned to Ala. "Here... Come with me..." He muttered, "I didn't know if these would ever get sold..." Ala blinked and followed him curious what he might have
The shop keep showed her an entire table full of Surion sized clothing. "I made it for the White Haired babies... But they grow fast too..." he mused. Ala chuckled "That they do." she looked over her shoulder at her daughter she picked up some pieces and put them down, basically browsing the entire lot "What's your price?" she asked
"Depends on how many you want... I'll give you the whole lot for ten claw and two scale..." The booth keep said. "Half the cost..." Ala tapped her chin looking at her daughter "You know I left all that change back at home right?" she says creating a ball of water the size of a small marble above her hand unsure if Vina was sure of her meaning
Vina shook her head and touched her mother's arm. "Put it on the council's tab..." She said softly. "And stop by the treasury, tell them Vina sent you..." "Yes Elder Vina..." Ala chuckled dissipating the water "Didn't want another one circulating eh"
Vina nodded. "Seeing as it takes forever to get gold in... yes..." She smiled at the shop keep. "If you could have those delivered to..." She rattled off the address. "As soon a possible please..." The shop keep nodded. "Of course Elder Vina..." Ala laughed "If I could help you there I would, but I can't create gold"
"Asked dad once... He nearly burst a vessel..." She giggled. And walked out, taking her mum's arm Ala laughed "Somehow I believe it" she walked away from the shop with her
Vina giggled. "Something about breaking the rules..." She shook her head. "I'll never understand him I fear..." She sighed, and looked at her watch, the only watch in the cliffs besides the one belonging to Joman. "Oh dear..." Ala frowned "You ok Vina?" she asked softly
"It's getting to be... That time..." She wiped at her eye. "When.. You know..." Red runnels were already starting to fall down her face. Ala put her hand on Vina's shoulder supportively and nodded
She sniffled loudly. "Can I hold Surion.. I've found holding babies helps..." She rubbed at her red eyes constantly. Ala nodded and lifted Surion from the carrier blanket and all and passed him to her
Vina took him and suddenly started to smile and rocked him, humming softly as she danced around on her feet. Ala smiled softly watching Vina move with Surion who babbled at her
Vina smiled and finally handed him back to Ala. "Thanks... I needed that..." she wiped at her eyes again. "I must look like a mess..." Ala shook her head "No, not overly" she reached into Surion's diaper bag and pulled out a wipe handing it to Vina
Vina wiped her face. "I'm not a pretty crier..." She muttered. "Never was... Though... Joman seems to think I look nice after I cry..." "To be honest Vina, It's better to let out the tears then to bottle them up. Your siblings already have found out what stress does, and I'm not referring to the wings they both grew at the ocean" she said
Vina nodded. "Vin sent me a letter..." She muttered. "I don't think I'll have such luck..." She frowned. "Vina, this keeps up and you just might, I know it's just coming from the pregnancy, but you really seem to be taking it harder then just the daily mood-swing" she said
"I have a stressful job mom... I've already had two complete breakdowns and nothing has happened since my wings..." She sighed. "Hard to say my dear, I wouldn't hold my breath in either direction, we never know what will happen till it does"
Vina nodded, and looked at her watch again. "Oi! We've got to get more stuff for Surion and at this rate we won't have time fro lunch...." Ala laughed "Lead the way Vina"
Vina nodded and kept going. "What all do you need mother... For Surion..." She smiled softly. Ala chuckled "Whatever he might light to play with I suppose, I got more then enough clothing now"
Vina nodded. "Toys it is!" She smiled, heading for the opposite side of the market, where a lot of children were gathered. Ala chuckled and followed after her "Somehow I think you are enjoying this Vina"
Vina smiled. "Yeah, I am... It's nice to be with you again after so long of being away..." She sighed softly. "You should visit more often..." "As should you Vina, Malcolm showed up at the shop again recently, he's closed up into his shell again" she said with a soft sigh
Vina sighed. "I'll have to see if I can skip time away..." She brushed her hair. "I don't look so young anymore..." She brushed her face and looked down. "Nor as skinny..." She shook her head and giggled. "Strange.. I used to swoon after Malcolm... Now his name makes me feel well... nostalgic..." Ala chuckled "That you did, I learned the female half of the mating song from all your humming. and I watched you polish many many heart shapes... least till you found out his romantic type of interests"
Vina sighed. "That was a broken heart waiting to happen I fear..." She shook her head. "Oh well... What happens happens and I'm happy with Joman..." She giggled. "He told me Malcolm should have gone straight, he missed out on a lot..." Ala chuckled "I'm not sure what's happening for him, he asked to stay in one of the shops guest rooms, I think things are strange at home again" she glanced towards the throng of kids "Think we'll make it out of there alive?"
Vina nodded. "I'm know as the Sweet Elder..." She grinned and reached into a pouch, tossing sweets off to the side. The horde went after them, clearing a path for the two. Ala laughed heartily "Silly Vina, I'm sure you have kids following you now and then cause of that"
Vina nodded and smiled. "Its nice when the crying swing comes calling... I have a horde of hugs..." She smiled. "They're all excited about my babies..." Ala nodded "I'm excited for you too daughter, children are a blessing... and sometimes a miracle"
Vina nodded. "Aye... That they are..." She smiled reaching a toy booth. Most were made of wood and bone, and there were more than a few steel ones. Most of them looked for older children, there were practice spears and swords, though it seemed the spears sold more. "It's hard to find baby toys..." She admitted. "Somehow I believe it considering babies don't tend to stay babies around here" she said browsing the items
Vina nodded slowly and smiled. "Yeah... I think that's starting to change though... Masura had a two day pregnancy..." Ala nodded slowly "No clue who that is but I believe you" she said "To be honest I kinda hope I'm still here when your time to give birth arrives... but I dont know how long we are staying this visit"
Vina nodded. "You can always come by to visit... Or I could have a messenger sent when I'm close..." She murmured. "Or I could use dad's courier..." Ala nodded "We'll see what happens I guess, I had no idea when Surion would come myself, sometimes it felt like it'd be forever then I'd have another jump in growth..."
Vina nodded. "I know..." She rubbed her still slightly small bulge. "Well lets see... What do we want to get Surion while we're here..." She mused and looked over the selection. Ala looked thoughtful "I don't really know most of this stuff he wouldn't be able to play with for quite a while"
Vina pointed at some of the less, dangerous toys. "We've got those..." They were small rag dolls shaped like Elders and Visha. She giggled. "They always get the Elder Vina mixed up with the Visha..." She giggled. Ala laughed "Somehow it doesn't surprise me, she picked up to very nearly identical dolls
Vina nodded. "The only diff is the fact that mine wears council robes..." She tapped the black robed one. "Visha has healers..." Ala smirked "Perhaps I'll get both, after all they are both family...."
Vina giggled and nodded. "Up to you mom, just tell them to pout it on the Council tab..." She smiled. Ala nodded and did just that
Vina smiled. "Anything else we need to get Lil Sur?" She smiled softly. "I can't really thing of anything today at least..." she said putting the dolls in the diaper bag
Vina nodded. "Lunch then?" She pointed at a few booths that were selling food, but meat looked scare, and the prices seemed, well... Rape. "Food sounds good, not that that price does, I think you father left something at the cave earlier, lets go check it out"
Vina nodded and smiled, turning to go with her. Ala headed back for the cave and soon they arrived, she put Surion down in the playpen winding up the mobile then headed for the kitchen area to see what Torvil might have left
There was a scripted note that said Happy Mother's day, and all the meat was ready to go, just pop it on the fire for a few and roll. Ala purred softly "Isn't that sweet of him" she said softly and put the meat into the fire
Vina nodded. "Very... Did he do that this morning?" "I'm guessing so, he showed up for a brief time then left again" Ala said taking the meat off a few minutes later
Vina smiled. "My husband is dying out there..." She reached into her pouch. "Dad gave me this... Said he was hitting everyone's house..." She smiled. "Joman's begging to come home... He can't keep up..." "He wasn't exactly raised to hunt like the others were, so I'm not entirely surprised" she said serving up the meat and handing one plate to Vina
Vina smiled softly. "Yeah..." She giggled. "I told dad to tell him that I only sleep with strong men, and if he wuses out he's sleeping on the couch till he can prove he's strong..." Ala chuckled "the ever determined Vina who is a lot like her dad in many ways" she took a seat at the table to eat
Vina giggled and sat down, taking some of the food as well. "I intend for him to prove himself to dad... Show him that he's not just a wimpy lil Drow..." Ala chuckled "I think your dad was happy you found a mate regardless if he's a Drow, I know I am..." she sighed softly "Been a strangely interesting visit to the cliffs thus far, wonder what else will come"
Vina shrugged and looked at her watch. "CRAP!" She stood up, nearly knocking the chair over. "I'm late!" Ala glanced at her "Well you better get going then sweetie, it was great visiting with you"
Vina nodded. "Wish I could spend more time... But council calls..." She hurried out as best as she was able. "Bye Surion! Bye mom!" "Later Vina hun see you soon" She called after her then went to take a nap as she noticed Surion had

A messiah? no my kid is not a messiah, he's just a regular baby boy. Even if he was I wouldn't let some priest take him away from me! *sigh* Well least someone set him straight even if it had to be Visha herself. I met some nice ladies though through all this...

Posted: Tue May 10, 2005 4:02 pmTorvil's Journal Dear Journal, Wow... So Visha came to Ala's aid once again, I really hope she doesn't get in trouble, I really do... Not that I know what the penality for her getting in trouble would be. The hunt is still rather boreing, but I have some good news to report. Joman is acutally starting to get better at hunting, which gladdens me greatly. Also, he's seemed to have made soem friends as well. I picked off another bear today, as well as a bunch more dear and a few dire wolves. So far so good... I think. I hope that nothing horible comes from this hunt, but so far we've had to travel a good ten miles to find game. A small feat for all but Joman, and a minisucle task for myself and shimmering. But I have flown and walked much gathering food, but I sense that I'm soon going to be asked to go home... I think I'm making them all jealous. Which is fine... But still, not a good idea. Maybe I'll be able to actually spend some time with Surion...

Posted: Wed May 11, 2005 2:06 pmDia visits Ala at the cliffs!?! Ala rested on the pallet, she thought she'd be able to nap while her son did but it just wasn't working out that way, so instead she simply lay fully dressed, if you could call her that considering when was wearing typical cliff clothing, there relaxing with her eyes closed
Dia was full of grins as she headed for the cave Asy pointed her too. She didn't seen any doors, so she didn't know if she should knock or what. She just, peered into the hole, and called out. "Ala?"
Ala opened one eye, that voice was familiar, but most definitely NOT from the cliffs, she sat up and looked past the other furniture, her head is what's mainly visible as she looks at Dia in disbelief
Dia finally spots Ala in the cave. She's practically beaming and she waves. "Ala!! Is it okay...to come in?"
"Dia? how the heck did you get here?" she asked climbing off the pallet and standing up, her entire body now visible as she approaches her friend
Dia seen Ala's new outfit and whistled. "sexy." she mused. "I wanted to see you! Asy brought me here, helped me escape Kazeha." she giggled.
Ala got a lil closer and she smirked "Ok, now I can tell what Torvil meant by 'Asmodeus got a Life' "
Dia blushed bright red. "What did he tell you?" she asked, forgetting Torvil had seen her and Asy at her home earlier that day.
"Nothing, just that he ran into Asmodeus and that he got a life... then he headed back out to the hunt again" she said stopping a couple feet in front of Dia
Dia smiled, still red from head to toe. She chuckled. "He came to see me yesterday." she squeaked out, ready to burst with her exciting news, but wanting to not be overly anxious. "Is this the cave you told you got at the Cliffs?"
Ala nodded "Yes this is our place at the cliffs, Our home away from home if you will"
Dia glanced around. "It's lovely. Seems very cozy." She smiled.
"It's pretty average, no plumbing, no electricity. Just a fireplace, candles and such" She smiled "And of course the very few necessities we bring from home"
"It sounds like a fun getaway." She smiled still looking at things. "how far are we...from home, tho?" she asked curiously, having no idea where the cliffs even are.
"About a 12ish hour flight from the shop, in a completely different direction then Kazeha" she told her
Dia's eyes widened, "wow, I had no idea it was that far." she said quietly.
Ala chuckled "That's the main reason we stay here more then one day when we visit the cliffs, especially after I got pregnant and had Surion"
Dia smiled and looked around, "where is Surion!? Is Torvil here, too?" she said cheerfully.
Ala pointed across the room to where Surion's playpen was, clearly visible through the side was a sleeping Surion. "Torvil is out on a hunt with the other males, there's a game shortage in this area"
dia smiled, "can I see Surion?" she asked quietly noticing he was asleep.
"Course" she said making no attempt to stop her from walking across the cave
Dia quietly approached the playpen. "he's so peaceful looking, when he's not spitting up." she mused.
Ala chuckled "You are the only one to experience that so far"
Dia blushed a little. "I did bring it on tho, didn't I?" she chuckled as she watched the baby sleep.
Ala nodded "Yup, by bouncing him, but he's getting better about it"
Surion stirred
Dia backed away from the playpen slowly. "I hope I didn't disturb him." she whispered.
Ala chuckled "He's been asleep since lunch I'm not surprised he's waking up" she reached in and picked him up then grabbed his blanket and headed for the fur-covered pallet which currently had two other larger versions of Surion's blanket on it partially bunched up
Dia smiled watching Ala with her baby and smiled. "you aren't bothered that ... dropped in, are you?" she asked meekly.
Ala chuckled "No I'm not" she lay the blanket out and put Surion on it then reached for a diaper, the wipes and one of the new outfits she purchased in the marketplace "It's actually kinda lonely here without any other adults in the cave to talk to, all my in-laws are rather busy and my daughter has elder duty"
Dia smiled, feeling a bit better about her surprise visit. "How long are you staying here for?"
"Not sure entirely, the hunt is supposed to last a couple days, then there is more family to meet Surion, currently only the females have met him since that's all that's home... Vina is expecting too but she might not give birth for a couple weeks or more yet so unless something massive happens we wont be staying quite that long" she said changing the diaper and putting a soft deerskin outfit on her son
"Wow, I didn't know Vina was pregnant too." She chuckled, "oh, my mom is eager to see him too, when you have a chance, I know you are busy now."
Ala chuckled "After I get home and rest for a day or two I'll come to Kazeha again" she said with a smile
Dia grinned. "that would be awesome."
Ala smiled and picked Surion up one awake sucking his thumb and clinging to the blanket. Neither wore normal to when Ala was in Kazeha or at home clothing
Dia looked around for a place to sit, "He sure likes that blanket, doesn't he?" she mused watching him cling to it.
Ala chuckled "Yes, doesn't like to be without it actually" she walked over to an armchair and sat down placing Surion in her lap "Have a seat" she invited her friend motioning at another chair
Dia nodded and went to sit down. "thank you." she as she got comfy. "comfortable chairs." she said.
Ala chuckled "They are, though they used to be much too tall"
"They did?"
Ala laughed "Come-on I'll show you" she said getting up again and gathering her carrier and putting Surion in it with his blanket
Dia nodded, "ok" she stood up and followed Ala
Ala led her out of the cave and along the ledge that led downwards and into the main areas of the cliffs "By the way... Welcome to the Cliffs, I don't know if it has any other name that's what Torvil always just called it"
Dia smiled, "thank you. I actually thought you were at home, I had no idea you were here." she said quietly as she followed Ala.
Ala chuckled "Got here last night we left in the midmorning" she neared the bottom and decided the best way to show her why furniture would be taller would be to head into the market so she turned in that direction "Um you shouldn't have too many male problems, least not today any male of age to hunt is out hunting, unless they are a newlywed like my nephew, but what's here mainly right now is the females and their children"
Dia giggled and blushed a little, not sure if she should mention that her little problem is solved for now.
Within a few minutes they reached t eh edge of the market and Ala stopped, the females and children were plainly visible with very very few exception most of them were over 7 feet tall
Dia looked around in wonderment. "wow...so many tall people.' she said in a low tone, just amazed.
Ala chuckled "Only people around our height here are either white-hairs like Torvil is or is a white-haired offspring. Everyone else is 7 feet or taller"
Dia chuckled. "This is weird...I've never been a 'short person' before."
Ala laughed "You get used to it around here, all my in-law's furniture, well lets put it this way to be comfortable at the kitchen table I have to sit on it"
Dia laughed. "this is just too fun." she continued looking around in awe at the tall woman...and tall children.
Ala nodded and chuckled and headed towards a stand of crystal dragon statuettes
Dia laughed "this is a riot. no wonder you love to come here." she mused following Ala.
Ala laughed "You haven't seen anything yet I'll show you something else in a bit" she noticed the stand's owner coming towards her with a bag "No I dont want more change please" she tried waving him off
Dia composed herself and wiped the tears from her eyes. She watched the shopkeeper and wondered what was happening.
Ala smiled at the booth's owner and pushed Dia away from it "I think I'll avoid that booth for a while" she said with a laugh"
"what was that about?" Dia asked curiously.
"I bought a statue from him last time, unfortunately I had no claw or scale so I paid for it using a Water Crystal... It cleaned out his change and he still wants to give me the rest of the change" she said meekly
Dia chuckled. "water crystals worth a lot around here?"
"Oh a thousand or more golden claw" she said with a small laugh "I didn't want the change the first time I still don't even though he pushed the other change into Torvil's hands last time"
"you must be rich around here, eh?"
Ala laughed "I'd rather not be, Water Crystals I make, they are from my own body, but they are extremely rare around here, hence their value, there is only about 5 of them in the whole of these cliffs, 3 of them reside in the hordes of my in-laws, one is in my daughter's hands and the 5th is in the treasury since that booth owner exchanged it in for currency"
Dia nodded. "wow, is it hard to make them?"
Ala stopped and turned to face Dia, they were in a fairly empty area of the market "Dia watch" she said her eyes shifting green as she looked directly at her friend
Dia stopped and watched
Ala held both hands out palm up. On one she created a small ball of water around the size of a ping-pong ball, over the other a ball of green energy of equivalent size "The Two strongest of the Kerrsalian powers save for healing right?"
Dia nodded, watching Ala's powers
Ala brought both of her hands together facing each other cupping them together, there was a small flash of light that peeked out of the tiny spaces around her hands, Ala's eyes returned blue and she opened her hand to reveal a water crystal the size of a ping pong ball, it was almost perfectly clear with a pale blue hue
"Wow" Dia mouthed. "its that easy? its so...beautiful, too." she said reaching her fingers towards it, but pulling them back remembering she needs to stop touching everything.
Ala laughed and took her friends hand and dropped it in "Here, I have about 5 dozen of them at home maybe more"
Dia's eyes grew wide, "really? wow...but I should pay you for it at least!" she opened her satchel and rooted around, knowing those gems Asy had given to her to pay for that fabric were in there somewhere. She found a couple of them and held them out to Ala, "here, can I at least pay you with these?"
"I don't want payment Dia, it's a gift." She said softly
Dia smiled, "really? are you sure? I have some more of these in here somewhere." she said looking in the satchel as she shook it.
"I am sure Dia, much as those shinnies are tempting I don't want you to feel like you have to pay for a gift" she said
Dai put one in Ala's hand. "then its a gift from me. I know you like shinnies. and I got a handful of these from..." she smiled just as she said his name. "...Asy."
Ala chuckled "Ok Dia" she said playing with the crystal in her hand a twinkle in her eye. "Another place I want to show you" she said with a chuckle and headed out and away from the market and down a path
Dia wrapped the gift from ala in a hanky that was in her satchel and she put it away gently then followed her friend.
Ala smiled and stroked her son's face only to have him root, after a short pause she positioned him to feed and covered him then continued till they came out of hte path and there was a small building ahead of them, most of the roof of it had no covering
Dia looked ahead and seen the building. "what is that, ala?"
Ala stopped "That is the announcement building, if someone goes in there and speaks, the entire of the cliff-system can hear them, it's what's used to announce meetings and such..."
"wow, that's really neat. do you know how it works?"
"It amplifies anything within it, it's how it was built, there's nothing high-tech about it...." she explained
Dia was fascinated by the building, but far to shy to really want to get close to it. "wow"
Ala leaned closer to her and whispered to her
Dia blushed a little and giggled.
she smirked more of her Dragonic side coming through
Dia was still blushing
Ala chuckled "Dia, I told you I let the dragon inside loose here, I meant it" she smirked and turned from the building starting to head down the path again
Dia smiled and nodded "true true. Its good you have a place where you can. I imagine its fun to get in touch with your more primitive side, ne?"
Ala laughed and faced her friend holding her arms out "It doesn't look like I have?" she said mainly meaning her outfit
Dia laughed, "I thought you were dressing sexy for your mate." she teased.
Ala laughed and shook her head "No that's what the leather number is for, this is just ordinary everyday wear here, or didn't you notice" she grinned
Dia nodded, "I did, I was just giving you a hard time. Its strange for me to see you in this environment." she said, smiling as she continued walking with Ala.
Ala chuckled "Well it is the place where my mate's family is from, I've been trying to get to know more of that side of me, and being here from time to time helps that." they re-entered the marketplace
Dia smiled, "Its good you have that opportunity. I would probably be killed on the spot if I went seeking the other half of me." she joked, but was serious at the same time.
Ala nodded "Very probably" she was completely serious as they moved back through the market which was becoming emptier
Dia looked around a bit. "not as many people out now?"
Ala shook her head "Most of them head homewards this time of the evening, get their kids to bed and get intimate..." she chuckled as they neared the far edge of the market
Dia raised a brow. "they do it ... with the kids watching?"
Ala laughed "Only if the kids aren't smart enough to get their butts out of the room" she headed for the ledge again
Dia was a bit stunned. "so its the kids' responsibility to not watch? whoa..."
Ala laughed "Don't forget kids here are like Vin and Lene and Lene's kids" they approached Ala's cave once again
Dia laughed, "oh yeah."
Ala re-entered the cave and sat on the pallet removing the carrier and her son whom she left on his blanket on her bed for a moment.... "Soooooo....." she said turning to Dia
Dia sat in one of the uber comfy armchairs. "Thank you for the tour, Ala. This is a nice place."
Ala smirked "Dia are you going to make me sit here and smell and ask...."
Dia's eyes and ears perked up. "huh?"
"Have you forgotten I can smell when someone has been intimate?" she laughed
Dia grinned, and seemed to...glow...but was also beet red. "I didn't know you could smell...that" she said quietly
Ala laughed "Yes I can" she picked Surion up and put him back in the playpen turning it's mobile on before re-joining Dia in the armchairs
Dia stood up, overflowing with excitement, and she watched Ala sit down. "Ala, I have the best news!" she said very excited, holding her hands together against her chest.
"Ok well before you faint on my cave floor how bout you tell" she grinned
Dia spun around, as if she were light as a feather, doing what looked like a pirouette. "Ala, I'm in love! Truly madly deeply in love!!" she almost shouted it.
Surion squawked at the abrupt loud voice
Ala chuckled "I can see this, can I guess that it's someone tall thin and foreboding?" she asked using the best description of Asmodeus she knew in her mind
Dia crouched a little when she heard Surion squawk, so she sat back down, on the edge of the chair. She was beaming. "He's tall, handsome and so kind and gentle." she said in a dreamy tone, as she thought of Asy.
Ala chuckled "Yup, definitely twiter-pated" her eyes sparkled and she sported a wide grin
Dia smiled, continued beaming. "He loves me too. He actually sought me out. Came to see me yesterday." Dia fell backwards into the comfy chair with a happy sigh, "Ala, I love him so much."
Ala smiled "Well he wasn't exactly who I thought you might fall for, but at least perhaps you wont be chasing every Kazehan male around and getting extremely distracted?"
Dia smiled, "you know, he's not who I pictured myself seriously falling for either...but...I seen him without that ... robe...and its like day and night. I know I shouldn't be that shallow, but.. that's how it was at first. I see him now in the robe and it doesn't matter...but it did at first. And ... my urges are curbed for now too, I can actually be around boys and not want to jump them." she chuckled. "but until my sense of smell finishes developing, when I get urges, the boy pheromones will drive me nuts."
Ala chuckled "You will never cease to amaze me Dia. Oh I got a note from Estra, she has your egg safely at the manor, whenever you can go again you can pick it or your hatched Pae, whichever comes first up from her"
Dia smiled, "that's great news, I will have to find a way to thank her for me."
Ala smiled "I think letting Estra observe that particular egg is payment enough she sounded rather excited" she paused " Sooo, you are completely infatuated with Asmodeus... obviously you've been intimate, what's next?"
Dia smiled, "I'm very grateful that she's there." And just hearing Ala mention his name brought the dreamy look back to her face. "I ... don't know but, what we did...was the most amazing thing.. words can't describe how amazing." she rambled on thinking about her time spent with Asy just a few hours ago. "He says something about 'bonding' but I'm entirely sure I understand what it is."
Ala nodded "I realize you are in love, but perhaps you should investigate the full meaning and what's expected of 'bonding' before you enter into it" she was thinking only of her friends wellbeing
dia nodded, "I will. Asy says its like marriage, but more....its for eternity. He said its complicated, too."
Ala nodded "Definitely something to know what you are getting into before you do it" she smiled softly and stifled a yawn "Oh geesh this day is catching up with me, Dia you are welcome to stay the night, you can either crash on the couch, or share the pallet with me" she said glancing over to see her son had dozed off again
"You don't mind if I crash here with you? I'm exhausted after the day I had, and I don't want to bother Asy just yet as he's only been back to work for a couple hours."
"Course not, then you can keep visiting and we can continue our conversation in the morning" she got up from the chair
Dia smiled, "Thank you, Ala."
Ala nodded "So you can sleep there" she pointed at the couch "Or over here, Torvil isn't due home tonight" she motioned the fur covered pallet
Dia giggled..."that fur looks awful inviting." she said shyly.
Ala laughed "Trust me it's soft and very comfortable" she said heading for the pallet blowing out most of the candles as she went leaving it very dim in the room "That door over there s the bathroom should you need it, the hole in the ground is the toilet, ya just squat over it" she let her friend know as she picked up the 2 blankets
Dia slipped her big boots off and set them off to the side. "thank you Ala, I was so excited to come tell you my news today, you are the first actually." she said as she headed towards the bed. "you don't this...do you? the bed just seems...bigger and comfier." she said meekly.
Ala chuckled and shook her head "It's fine, here" she handed her one of the very soft black and red blankets "Lots of room, these beds are designed for DLs"
Dia smiled and took the blanket. "its very soft." she said quietly. She pulled the cloth Asy gave to her from her pocket and then laid down, covering herself with the soft blanket Ala offered and, held on to the cloth, close to her, like Surion was holding to his blanket.
Ala chuckled "I hope it is, it was made by Visha, it's the same as Surion's just larger" she said with a chuckled and lay down covering up and blowing out a nearby candle yawning
Dia chuckled, "she makes comfy blankets." she said, yawning. "thank you again, ala."
"Welcome Dia" Ala murmured almost completely asleep and then asleep
Dia yawned again, and put Asy's cloth up by her head, so she could sniff it and have dreams of him. She was asleep before she even knew it.

Dia at the cliffs? Well I certainly can't say I was expecting that, in fact it was rather a shock. Seems she hooked up with Asmodeus, he gave her help getting here... Can't say it wasn't a welcome visit though. We had a good chat, she made a promise to me which with all my heart I hope she keeps, she can be a lil ... out of it... at times and I want her to be safe and happy

Posted: Wed May 11, 2005 2:40 pmDia's Cliff Visit part 2 Ala stretched and yawned then got up, it was just before the crack of dawn
Dia stirred a little, very warm and very comfortable where she lay.
Ala chuckled seeing her friend, she proceeded to change and get her son up and changed "Hey Dia wake up" she said
Dia rolled, "mmm? is it time for training again Kito?" she mumbled.
Ala laughed "You are way far from Kazeha Dia, come-on I wanna show you something"
Dia rolled again and opened her eyes as she yawned. She sat up quick, not knowing were she was for a brief moment. "ala! good morning!" she said yawning again.
"Good very early morning, you seemed to have slept well. " she smiled
"I did. you have a very comfy bed." she grinned, sliding the blanket off her she could stand up and stretch.
Ala smiled, "very comfy, come-on" she rocked her son in her arms as she headed for the door and looking over her shoulder
Dia quickly grabbed her boots and slid them on, and caught up to Ala. "is the sun even up yet?" Dia asked, yawning again, while she wiped her eyes.
"Nope, not yet" she said with a laugh turning the opposite direction from the cave then they had the night before, that ledge heading upwards
"where are we heading?" Dia asked, still a bit sleepy, but waking up nonetheless
"To the top, I wanna show you something" she said with a chuckle "Trust me it's worth it"
Dia chuckled, "okay" she hadn't been up this early since Kito stopped hassling her about training harder so she didn't get snatched again.
Within a short time they reached the top of the cliffs which were fairly flat, Ala headed out onto the surface and soon sat a few feet from the edge Surion in her lap
Dia followed and sat beside Ala. "this is an amazing view up here." she said looking out towards the horizon.
"Just wait, it gets better" she said with a laugh "It's almost time for sunrise"
Dia nodded and watched. It was very peaceful up there too.
Ala sat quietly as the sun began to rise, she enjoyed watching it and it certainly wasn't the first time she had
Gasps of awe were hears coming from Dia as she watched the sun begin to peek over the horizon and make its presence know.
Ala chuckled and she looked over to her friend, Surion was feeding as they sat there
"wow Ala...its very majestic, isn't it?" she said quietly, lounging where she sat with her legs bent, but out in front of her as she supported her upper-half with her hands on the ground behind her.
"The sunset is just as nice from this view... I come up here every now and then to watch them while I'm here, long as I'm not too busy that is" she smirked
"Its truly an enlightening experience. To just stop and watch the wonder of nature...kinda helps put things in perspective, yanno?" Dia said, her child-like look of amazement still present on his face.
"Yeah I know, something I bet is tough to do from Kazeha right now eh" Ala said softly
Dia nodded. "yeah. too many trees block the horizon." she chuckled.
Ala laughed "So what's your plans for today Dia?"
"I actually don't have any. I have to page Asy when I'm ready to go home, but after that, all I have to do is chores. I'm off training for a couple weeks so I strain myself."
"Sounds like a lot of fun" she chuckled "No one back home is missing you are they?" she asked
Dia laughed, "my mother...but Kito and Nim have things they are working on without me." she sighed.
Ala chuckled "I think your mom is always missing or worried about you. You seem a bit down about Kito and Nim, is everything ok?"
"yeah, things are fine, I just don't see them often because they are involved with the stuff for Meriko and with kalyai and Lerate. My mom doesn't want me involved with that yet."
"Somehow I'm not entirely surprised about that" she said softly
Dia nodded. "I understand. I just miss them sometimes."
Ala nodded "With all hopes that whole thing will clear up, but considering who Lerate is it might take a while.. or least that's what Kal says" she sighed
"yeah. I'd like to meet him at least, he is my uncle...but then, I never thought I'd ever meet anyone from Mom's side of the family." she said softly, still watching over the horizon.
"Yeah but I don't even know that Meriko would know her 'relation' to Your mom either though" she mused
Dia chuckled, "that's true...and you never what Grandfather told her regarding the bane of his existence." she said wondering if Abaddon told Meriko at all about the daughter that betrayed him.
"It's very hard to say" she said with a sigh
Dia nodded. "yeah. and truthfully, I'd rather not know more about him and that tribe than I already do."
"To be honest Dia, I don't blame you in the least, kinda like I don't really have desire to know anything about my mother, however I don't mind knowing more about the Kerrsalians as a whole" she smiled softly
Dia nodded, "yeah...my heritage is intriguing...now that i was forced to accept it." she chuckled.
Ala chuckled "Yeah, true... so you getting hungry at all?"
There was a shimmer behind them, and Torvil landed one quiet feet, shoeless, and dressed in more Cliff garb, a rough leather tunic and pants, all tied. He stood there listening. Dia nodded, "actually, quite. I haven't eaten since yesterday morning come to think of it."
Ala nodded "Perhaps Torvil has brought us something from the hunt" she said with a smirk having smelled his arrival
"Is he due back soon?" Dia asked, still paying more attention to watching the land light up as the sun rose higher.
"He already is " she laughed "he's behind us"
Dia turned her head and seen him standing there. Her cheeks going a little red, "Hi...Torvil." she said meekly.
Torvil bowed his head. "So you aren't attached at the hip to /him/." He gave her a wink Ala giggles and stood up "Mornin love" she said walking over and leaning to give him a soft kiss
Dia's whole face went red.
Torvil purred and kissed her softly. He broke slowly and smiled at Ala. "I left my share in the kitchen.. Though I'm surprised there isn't a third here..." Ala raised a brow curiously "A third?" she asked shifting Surion to her shoulder to burp him
Dia stood up and dusted her backside to knock the dirt off. "I hope you don't me being here." she said meekly to Torvil.
Torvil smiled. "I don't mind at all... But I wonder where... You know who is..." He looked at Dia with a 'have you told Ala yet?' look. Ala laughed and tapped her nose and headed towards the path back down the ledge for the cave
Dia's blush brightened and she nodded with a shy smile. "he's working." she said quietly.
Torvil laughed and nodded his head, "Well now... And he left you here... Shame..." Ala chuckled "Come on guys I'm hungry"
Torvil smiled and walked with Ala. "yes love, I'm sure you are..." Dia wasn't sure how to respond to Torvil so she just followed them back down.
"So uh... Are you going to need a shimmer back to the village?" Torvil asked. Dia nodded. "yes, Asy said to page him when I'm ready to go home." she said quietly
Torvil chuckled. "He taught you how to page?" He quirked a brow. Ala chuckled softly as they re-entered the cave listening to the two of them talk and lay her son on the pallet and sat down
Dia fished a small stone from her satchel and showed it to Torvil. "he gave me this, and said it can page him."
"Ah, stone..." He nodded. "Those work too..." He chuckled softly. "And can't screen em..." Ala picked up the small gem Dia had given her the day before from where she had put it and played with it in her hands listening to them
Dia rubbed the stone a little with her fingers as she smiled, before tucking it safely back into her satchel.
Torvil's eyes instantly shot to the gem in Ala's hand. "oooooooo..." Ala looked up and chuckled "something catch your eye love?"
Dia was just observing the two. It amused her how Ala was with shinnies and she noticed Torvil was like that too.
Torvil pointed. "Shiny...." He muttered. Ala laughed "Yes love, it is" she grinned she glanced at her friend
Dia went back into her satchel and pulled out another one and handed it to Torvil.
Torvil smiled at Dia and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Thank you!" He looked like a happy five year old getting candy. Ala smiled, she held the gem in her hand above her son
Surion cooed and reached towards her hand
Dia giggled. "I have a handful of them actually. They're pretty, but I don't really know what to use them for."
Torvil blinked and looked at it. "Well for starters I'd keep them... Asmodeus gave you these correct?" Dia nodded.
"Keep them on you when you cross... In a pocket... They'll be with you on other side... You can use them there..." Dia pulled another one out to look at it. "What do they do?"
"They're money..." he said plainly. "oh" Dia said meekly putting it back into her satchel. "I didn't know. Now I know why he gave them to me." she said very quietly.
Torvil chuckled. "Quite a bit too... But then Asmodeus was always free with his money..." "I just like them, they are shiny" she said softly playing with Surion
Torvil nodded. "That they are..." Dia smiled. "I told Asy I would make him a new robe, because the one he wears is ... uhm...old and itchy, and he insisted that I take those gems in return." she smiled.
Torvil chuckled. "Of course he did..." He smirked. "but I doubt he'll get the thing to other side unless he Holds it..." he chuckled softly. Dia looked at Torvil curiously, "what do you mean?"
"Well you can't wear things across to other side, you end up naked under some robes..." He nodded his head. "Right Ala?" "Very much so, very much so" Ala chuckled remembering her trips
"oh" Dia frowned a little bit.
Ala smiled "Comes in handy if you are already naked when you go there"
Torvil chuckled. "Yeah..." He nodded. "But Asmodeus should be able to take things... I have..." Dia gave a weak smile and nodded.
"Ok, I'm hungry, and so is Dia, so lets have something to eat" she said changing the subject
Torvil nodded and headed to the kitchen. Ala smiled "Figured it was a good time to change the subject" she told Dia with a chuckle
Dia went and sat in one of the uber comfy chairs and smiled. "thank you for letting me join you for food."
Torvil chuckled and walked to the counter, starting to prepare the meal. dia nodded and smiled towards ala and mouthed the words 'thank you' to her.
Ala picked up her son after putting the gem away and brought him over to hand to Dia
Torvil sighed. "Dia likes her meat cooked a little right?" Dia nodded, not looking up as she was gushing over little Surion in her arms.
Ala laughed "Yes love, she's not used to the way we eat it or the way most people here do"
Torvil nodded and set aside a bit of the meat to cook more than usual Ala smiled sitting and watching Dia with her son
dia was careful this time...to not bounce him. She cooed and smiled at the infant. "you two sure make cute babies." she giggled.
Ala giggled "we try"
Torvil chuckled, tossing meat of the pan and onto plates. "Raw's up... Working on Dia's..." Ala smiled and headed for the table "you can just put him in the playpen when yours is ready Dia"
"Does she like any bleeding at all?" Torvil called from the kitchen Ala glanced at her before she got to the table "Dia?"
Dia smiled and looked up, "okay." she slowly stood up, not wanting to create too much motion, and slowly laid Surion in the crib. "Rare is good." she smiled.
Ala nodded and took a seat at the table starting at her meat which was far from 'rare'
Torvil walked over with the meat and sat down to his own. "Gave Dia a small tour last night love, showed her hte stage and the announcement booth" she smirked
Torvil chuckled. "Oh, you mean where we had hot wild animal sex..." Ala laughed "Uh huh"
Dia turned red, but giggled as she sat at the table.
Torvil chuckled. "Oh, I saw they fixed it... The stage I mean..." He chuckled "Had to show her why furniture here would be bigger here so I figured Id give her a tour while I was at it" she smiled
"Yes your daughter paid the fine"
Torvil laughed. "Oh yeah... Forgot about the damages fine..." He smacked his forehead. "Oh well..." Dia laughed, trying to not spit food from her mouth as she listened to Ala and Torvil.
"I gave her a crystal... which reminds me that booth owner still trying to give me change" she glanced at Dia
Torvil eyed her, not really knowing that this was funny. "Is he now... Well Crystals are quite rare here..." he smirked. "He turned it into the treasury for value exchange...."
"Oh hell..." Torvil muttered. "What's wrong?" she blinked
"That's a lot of money to flow out of the treasury..." He muttered. Dia kept quiet, not really knowing much about that situation.
"Somehow I gathered that, Vina said it's worth like a thousand gold claw or something like that..." she smiled at D "cooked ok?"
Dia nodded. "yes, its very good thank you."
Torvil nodded. "She's been pestering me to make gold..." He grumbled and ate. "That's what she said, said you tell her no" she finished up and relaxed against the table top
Torvil nodded, rending a rather large bit of meat away with his teeth. "Ould eak ules..." Dia continued with her meal, it was very good. "What kind of meat is this?" she asked, curiously.
Ala nodded "The ones I gave Mikiri and Malkar and mom are all in their hordes or wherever they store them they never turned them in"
"Deer..." Torvil said. "Well actually I think that's bear..." he pointed to what Dia was eating. Dia nodded. "its good. I've never had bear before." she smiled.
Torvil smiled. "Thanks... It's hard to prepare sometimes..." "Always turns out all right to me, where are the other guys? they back as well?" Ala asked
Torvil chuckled. "Nope... They told me to go home cause I was making them look bad... I had ten kills to their one... Or ten kills to Joman's five..." "Joman doing better now?" she asked
"Nope... Still lagging behind and barely killing anything..." "who is Joman?"
"My Eldest Daughter's husband... He's a Drow..." Torvil chuckled. "oh! he's going to be a dad soon, right?"
Ala nodded "yup"
Surion could be heard babbling and blowing bubbles in the playpen
Torvil chuckled and looked over. "Yeah he is..." He smiled. "And he's quite excited..." Dia smiled, "so many babies coming in to the world lately." she said softly after she swallowed the last bit of food. "thank you for the meal, it was delicious."
"If he values sleeping in his bed he better not wus out of the hunt"
Torvil chuckled. "I don't think he will... they tease him too much... And you're welcome Dia..." "Glad you enjoyed it Dia, it's the kind of food we eat here, sometimes wit veggies but usually mainly meats" she told her
Dia smiled and nodded. "Meat is always good. I'm not partial to most veggies anyway." she chuckled.
Ala laughed "Neither am I anymore" she looked over her shoulder then back "Love he needs a change soon"
Torvil nodded and stood. "Okay" Ala smiled "What do you think of our little cave home Dia?" she asked as he got up
Dia smiled and looked around again. "I think its great. Very cozy and simple. I can see why you visit often."
"Omg (pronouced Oh My Goddess very fast) He's wearing cliff clothes!" Ala laughed "Yes Vina and I bought out the clothing place of infant stuff yesterday"
Torvil chuckled softly and changed him. "He looks strapping... Just like his dad..." "I think Torvil likes that I got those for Surion" she said to Dia with giggle
Dia smiled, "they look cute on him, who wouldn't like it."
Torvil looked over. "You bet your sweet a** I do..." He smirked. He scratched at his ear, that if one looked closely was starting to point. Ala laughed "I first got mine so I felt I fit in better, instead of standing out with my normal clothing"
Dia chuckled, "I dress funny even in my own village, so I stand out all the time anyway."
Ala laughed "Yeah, but I didn't want to, least not here."
Torvil chuckled. "You should have seen what I wore the last time I was here..." "Loincloth,,, and that was it" she whispered to Dia
Dia laughed, and her cheeks blushed when she tried to envision it.
Torvil's face scarred, up, they were rather pretty white ones though. "See what she did..." he smirked. Dia's eyes opened wider, "whoa..."
Ala smirked "I had fun.... to say the least"
Torvil smirked. "What you don't see is..." He slowly put Surion down and stripped off his shirt, his bare chest covered in scars. "holy cow" Dia gasped. "I thought you two were in love!"
Ala laughed "Dia I told you I let the dragon out when I am here" she pointed at him "that is love in the cliffs"
Torvil smiled and ran a finger down his chest. "This is more than love... This is devotion..." He shivered. "oh lord... I should stop looking at these..." "wow" Dia said under her breath, with a slight shiver. "looks painful."
Ala laughed "How bout you pick up your son again" she laughed "probably was, that's the product of about 2 days"
"Straight?" Dia raised her brow a little looking at Ala.
Ala smirked at her letting her come to her own conclusions
"Holy cow." she said under breath again, shaking her head in awe.
Ala giggled "We can both hear you Dia you might as well just speak aloud"
Torvil chuckled. "Loved every second..." He put his shirt back on, but it was obvious just looking at the scars had some effect on him. He picked up Surion again with a smile. Dia chuckled, "Ala...this is a side of you I never knew existed." she blushed a little.
Ala laughed "Well now you do. it exists here more then anywhere else."
Torvil chuckled. "Sometimes I wish it existed more at home too..." He growled and purred at his son. Ala chuckled softly
dia chuckled, "I just hope you hate me enough to not want to hurt me." she joked as she watched Torvil with Surion and smiled.
Ala laughed "I don't hate you Dia, besides, I wouldn't hurt you, you know that"
Dia laughed, "I know Ala, I was just teasing." her cheeks turned a little red.
Torvil chuckled. "Unless the two of you are lovers on the sly..." he smirked. Ala laughed and nearly fell from her chair from her laughter
Dia tapped her chin and looked up. "weelll...I DID sleep here last night..." and she was only able to hold a straight face for a few seconds before busting out laughing.
Torvil's brow rose very slowly, he held Surion and took on a stance. "And why was I not invited!!" He puffed up his chest with Surion. Ala laughed even harder laying on her back on the floor tears of laughter rolling down her cheeks
Torvil laughed, albeit not as hard, holding Surion after all. He wondered what the child was thinking right then... Dia laughed so hard she let out a snort, and quickly caught herself, blushing.
Torvil smirked. "Ah so we have a snorter..." He chuckled. "Asmodeus snorts..." Ala finally stopped laughing and just looked up at the pair from where she was catching her breath "Oh Visha this is a funny conversation"
Dia's ears turned red too. "I didn't know that." she said quietly, still giggling, trying to not laugh hard.
Torvil chuckled. "Just get him to laugh... It's hard to do though..." He smirked. "Somehow I think Dia can probably manage it.... after all she got him to bring her here" she mused
Torvil nodded. "Aye... Strange that... Smelled her all over him too..." He stroked his chin. "I wonder why..." Dia giggled, trying to remember if he even chuckled with her the previous day. Her dreamy smile gracing her face as she thought about it.
Ala laughed "Oh I think I can guess why"
Torvil smirked. He looked at Dia. "I don't know if Asmodeus is the type..." "She was sleeping with a non Kazehan type of hankie last night" she mused with a grin
Torvil's brow shot up. "Welll now...." He looked to Dia. "That's interesting..." He tapped his chin. "I'd always figured he didn't work..." Dia was bright red, and looking to the floor as they spoke. She was still smiling, but didn't know how to respond.
Ala chuckled and sat up "Don't worry Dia, talking about intimacy around the cliffs is very commonplace"
Torvil chuckled. "Yes, like the whether... Speaking of intimacy... Do you think we can get Surion a baby sitter... " Ala laughed "He still nurses love, and I'm not weaning him, not till he's ready, think we'd have time between feeds?"
Dia chuckled and lifted her gaze up. She was glowing bright red from her ears to her toes, and she fought the embarrassment, trying to not shy away.
Torvil scratched his head. Dia's eyes went straight back to staring at the floor.
Ala tapped her chin "Hmmm well we'll have to see about that, I imagine Vina would probably baby-sit, babies seem to help her mood swings... " she glanced at her friend
Torvil nodded. "Good... And if he gets hungry we can break off and he can have his snack..." He smirked at Dia. Ala laughed "possibly, he's pretty regular about when he wants food"
Torvil chuckled. "how much time would we have?" Dia let out a soft sigh and sat up again.
"Hour maybe a bit more," she glanced back to Dia "You ok my friend?"
Torvil looked over to her, a concerned look painted his face Dia smiled weakly, "yeah yeah." she remembered what Ala had said so she suddenly stood up, "do you need me to leave?"
Ala shook her head "Not as of yet, Surion's not even gone yet" she said "Besides you came to visit"
Dia chuckled lightly. "if you say so." she said meekly.
Ala laughed "I do, you don't need to start getting worried till we are like ripping the other's clothing off" she laughed "That was our sign to get out of his parent's place a while back"
Dia chuckled, "ok, I'll keep an eye out for that."
Torvil chuckled softly. "Love I bought Surion a couple toys too from the market, I think they are still in the diaper bag"
Torvil smiled and moved to get them. Ala got up from where she sat and smiled at her friend "You've gotten to see part of how relaxed I am here" she told her
Torvil dug in bag and chuckled... "Vina!" he held up the black robed white haired feather winged doll. "And Visha..." He held up the white one. Ala laughed "Yup" she said hearing his words
Dia looked at the toys in Torvil's hands and smiled.
Torvil smiled and handed them to Surion. "You should have gotten him some big-boy toys too..." "The sweet elder and Visha" she said giving him a laugh "When he's a big-boy I will, in the mean time he gets lil guy toys"
Torvil chuckled. "Allow me to rephrase that..." He smirked. "You should have gotten him big-boy toys so I could play..." He laughed. Dia laughed.
Ala chuckled "You can go to the market for those yourself" she smirked
Torvil stuck out his tongue. "But that's corny..." Ala shook her head "You are silly love"
Torvil chuckled. "Silly yes... But not corny..." He chuckled softly and put Surion back in his pen with his new toys. Ala smiled and headed to take a seat on the couch, her friend had grown quiet and she hoped Dia was ok
Dia seen Ala move so she followed suit to go sit in the comfy chair. "These sure are comfortable chairs." she said, not sure what else to say after her embarrassing display of ... embarrassment.
Torvil looked up, he shook his head. "Uh... Okay..." Ala shook her head "Love come sit with me"
"We're about to have a guest..." Torvil said, getting up and walking over to Ala. Ala chuckled "We have one, what's one more"
"Well this one's about six five, has yellow eyes.... and is coming in right about... Now..." There was a shimmer at the entrance of the cave. Dia quickly turned her head and smiled wide.
Ala laughed "now to see how red she becomes this time"
Asmodeus shook his hair as he appeared, wearing the same clothes Dia had given him a day or so prior. He smiled. "Hey..." Torvil stared. "Uh... who are you, and what did you do to my teacher..." Ala laughed and fell sideways on the couch
Dia stood up and ran over to him, wrapping her arms around him. "Hi!" she said in a slightly higher pitched voice than one she used when talking with Ala and Torvil.
Torvil blinked. "Whoa... Pitch change..." Asy smiled and leaned down to kiss Dia's head. "Hey darling..." He ran his fingers through her hair. "They haven't been bothering you have they?" Ala chuckled and sat up again looking back at the pair
Dia shook her head, "no no." She was smiling very wide. "I was just embarrassing myself is all." she said quietly.
Asy chuckled and picked her up, holding her close to him in his arms. "Eh? Were you now?" He walked over and sat down in the chair she had vacated, dropping her in his lap. "I just came by to check up on things..." "She's pretty in pink" Ala said with a grin
Asy chuckled. "Is that so?" He looked down at Dia. Torvil was still shaking his head. "Big change..." Dia wrapped one arm around the back of his neck. "I'm not used to Ala being so... open." she chuckled. Glancing towards Ala and smiling.
"What do you expect Torvil, you introduced him to Dia in a sense" she grinned
Torvil chuckled. "Never thought he'd change so much..." Asy smirked. "Now I want to hear this laugh I've heard about" she grinned
Dia turned to Asy and grinned, "yeah, Torvil says you snort, too." she giggled.
Asy glared at Torvil. "I don't snort..." he said defensively. Ala laughed "you don't need to be defensive about it, especially if you are going to consider bonding with my best friend"
Asy nodded. "I do plan on doing it. But I do not snort... In fact, I have not laughed in ages... But I love snorting..." He smiled and nuzzled Dia. "So I've heard... Perhaps Dia could get you to laugh" she grinned
Dia nuzzled him back, and gently caressed his face, gently dragging her fingers along his jaw to underneath his chin.
Ala leaned over to Torvil "Perhaps it's us who are going to have to evacuate soon" she whispered
Torvil laughed. Asy's eyes went snake like and there was a loud snorted laugh when Dia touched the underside of his chin. Ala giggled a lot and stood and got Surion bringing him back
Dia laughed, "you do!" and single snort escaped and she quickly clasped her hands over her mouth.
Asy smirked. "And you do too..." He leaned down and kissed her. Ala chuckled and listened while she fed Surion
Dia giggled and smiled. "Asy, are you off from work now?" she asked, glad he was there, but curious if he was going to be going soon.
Asy smirked. "Told em to shove their reports and that I was taking a month or so off..." He nuzzled her. Dia's smile widened, "A whole month?"
Asy nodded. "All sixty days..." Ala laughed "That's two months Asmodeus"
Dia crooked her head a bit, "60 days?"
Asy blinked. Torvil chuckled. "Time's screwy on other side.... Sixty of their days is equal to thirty of ours... Most of the time..." "Ahhh I see" she said moving Surion to be burped
Dia nodded at Torvil. "oh! so, I've been here two days then? according to other side's time..."
"Or vice versa..." He smirked. "It's as I said... screwy... chaotic... Asy knows though..." Dia smiled and turned to Asy, "how do you keep track of things then? if thing's aren't...constant?"
Asy tapped his head. "Internal clock... resets each time..." "Would confuse the hell outta me" Ala said
Dia chuckled, "me too, Ala."
Torvil chuckled. "I don't even bother..." Dia laughed, mindful to hold in any snorts.
Asy smiled softly. "do you mind if I steal her?" He hugged Dia close. "Do you mind if I steal you?" Ala chuckled "Long as you give her back eventually"
Dia smiled and looked to Ala, "you don't mind if I head out?"
Ala shook her head "No Dia, you've been here lots, overnight even"
Asy smiled, and waited for Dia to answer, though he knew already Dia smiled and crawled off of Asy's lap and went to Ala to give her a hug. "I loved seeing your home here, and visiting with you here. I'll try to not embarrass so easily next time." she chuckled.
Ala chuckled "Keep up your new activities and you wont be"
Asy suddenly blushed. Torvil burst out laughing. Ala laughed "Hey, we pretty open about that here Asmodeus..."
Dia giggled, and surprisingly to her, didn't blush. "Thank you for the meal and comfy bed to sleep in, too." she said, and leaned down to give Surion a kiss on his forehead. "It was great to see him again too."
Ala nodded "Don't you start playing stranger on me either" she winked
Dia shook her head. "I won't. I came to visit yesterday, didn't I?" she winked. Dia turned towards Torvil and smiled. "Thank you for the meat. It was good."
Asy caught her with a hand and smiled. "Ready to go?" Dia looked up at Asy and smiled, "yeah." She turned to Ala and waved, "I'll see you soon, k? And don't forget to bring Surion to see my mom."
Ala nodded "Have 'fun' my friend"
Dia grinned and winked before turning back to Asy.
Asy smiled and pulled Dia to him as best he could, putting her eyes to his body as he shimmered them out. Ala chuckled watching them leave
Torvil smirked and laughed softly..

Posted: Wed May 11, 2005 4:06 pmTorvil's Journal Dear Journal, Whoa... Now that was definatly unexpected. I've never seen Asmodeus out of his robe before, and now that I have. Well, I don't think I can think of him the same way again. For one, he's a lot more muscular than I thought, and for two, he's definatly got the hots for Dia. I can see that very well. To think, I chose to give Surion that middle name because Asmodeus was my teacher. Now I sense, that if I want, I can be his friend as well. He's changed a lot it seems, opened up the shell that had surronded him when he taught me. Now with all this talk of 'Bonding' Dia, that I don't really get. What little I know of it is that it hasn't happened between two of his kind nearly seven thousand years. He has never thought to tell me why. Surion's doing well, and me and Ala are happy and well fed. I'm glad they sent me home, now I can be with my family again. I think they'll be back near the end of the week, maybe later. It all depends on how long their out. Ah well, best of luck to them... Till next...

Posted: Thu May 12, 2005 3:10 pmA simple day at the cliffs Ala sat on the couch of the cave humming softly and playing with Surion in her lap, she wasn't sure when the other men were due back but she was glad Torvil was back.
Torvil smiled and headed over, having packed away the meat and sitting down next to his wife looked over at his son. "He's so adorable..." "Yes, and to think we'll get to enjoy that adorableness longer. He's just as adorable as you can be" she smiled
Torvil smiled and leaned over and kissed Ala's cheek. "He gets it from you..." He smirked. Ala chuckled "Hard to say who he gets what from, his personality seems so much different then the twins' "
Torvil chuckled softly. "I know... But then... The twins were learing out of the cradle..." Ala laughed "Yeah, oh well they are all grown up now, and I think they turned out well. Now to raise this little sweetie"
Surion stared up at both of them gumming the tail of a stuffie dragon
Torvil smiled and waved to his youngest. "Yeah... Our babies are having babies..." He grinned and purred at his son. "Lil Sur likes his Draggies doesn't he? Yes he does! Yes he does!" "Nyahnyahnyan" came Surion's reply along with a small smile
Torvil laughed softly and smiled. "Uh Ala... Can I um... hold him?" He looked up at her for a moment. "Course love, he is your son" she said letting go of one side of her son ready to let go the other once he had him
Torvil slowly took hold of Surion. "But you did all the work..." he murmured. "It doesn't matter who did all the work of growing him and birthing him, you are his father... period" she said letting go of him
Torvil nodded and held Surion in his arms. "He's so fragile..." he murmured. "So different it's like the first time..." He said. "But more difficult..." Ala smiled resting her hands in her lap "Very different yet similar at the same time... " she said softly
Surion let go of the dragon with one hand and reached for his father's face
Torvil smiled and leaned his head down so his son could touch his face. "I love you Surion, just as much as I love your mom and your brothers and sisters..." "Nyanyanyanya" he babbled batting at his dad's face playfully
Torvil smiled and kissed his little hands as they batted at him. "My Lil Surion... Lil Sur... Surion Asmodeus Rakamash..." He purred. Ala smiled watching them together, she was glad he was her mate, he was such a wonderful father. she chuckled softly watching her son kick his little legs happily and then grasped his father's white hair in his little fist pulling
Torvil cringed a little and smiled. "Like pulling hair huh?" He chuckled softly and leaned in closer to his son, kissing his forehead softly. "Mommies is better... Trust me..." He purred. Ala laughed "It' why I try to keep it out of his reach though I often fail"
Torvil chuckled and nuzzled his son lightly, inhaling the scent of him, and smiling. "Now I will always be able to find you..." he purred. Surion pulled the dragon from his mouth as his father nuzzled him and blew wet messy bubbles most of which wound up on Torvil
Torvil laughed and smiled, wiping them off a little. "Hehe... Surion drool..." He kissed his son's forehead. Ala chuckled and got up disappearing from the room into the bathroom leaving Surion to play with his dad
Torvil bounced Surion for a little, not knowing Dia's mishap with that motion. Surion babbled then burped and spit up on his father and himself
Torvil started laughing. "Well then... that's on the list of things not to do..." He chuckled and carried Surion to change and clean him up. Surion whimpered and his little nose scrunched up as he was taken to be changed
Torvil chuckled. "It's okay Sur we'll get you cleaned up..." he lay him down and started to do so. Ala wandered back out of the bathroom and looked around having not seen Torvil where she had left them and then smiled wandering up behind him where he was near the pallet
"One should not bounce our son..." He chuckled, having changed Surion out and wrapped him in his blanket, and was now changing his shirt. Ala laughed "You got christened too did you"
Torvil chuckled. "Yeah..." He changed into a new shirt. "Dia did that back at the hospital in Kazeha" she said still chuckling
Torvil smirked. "Did she now?" He chuckled. Ala nodded "Yup, cept she danced with him too"
Torvil chuckled and nodded, picking up the clean Surion again. Surion babbled now gumming the corner of his blanket
Torvil smiled and brushed his son's head with his finger. "I love you Lil sur..." "So what do you think of what happened at the temple while you were away?" she asked
"Interesting..." he smiled. "What happened to the priest?" "Lessee, broken leg, broken nose, I think a broken arm too, confined to his cave, watched for by the boys and had his right to preach taken away" She rattled off as much as she could recall
Torvil chuckled. "Deserved worse but at least they didn't kill him..." He chuckled. Ala nodded "Yeah, I think services will be quite different now"
Torvil smiled. "Good." He grinned and started to rain kisses down on Surion. Surion cooed softly blowing bubbles often
Torvil smirked. "He likes bubbles doesn't he..." Ala laughed "Yes he does"
Torvil chuckled and rocked Surion. "Uh... You want more time with him?" His martyr-ness was starting to crop up again. Ala didn't move to take him "Torvil, you can play with him, you need time with him too"
Torvil blushed. "You sure..." He asked softly looking down at his son. "I mean... You are his mother after all... The most important person in his life..." he murmured. He loved Surion, and he loved Ala... He loved all his family. But he couldn't shake the feeling that he didn't really deserve to have Surion all that much... He'd not helped Ala much during the pregnancy... And... and... He'd done none of the hard stuff... He felt guilty he supposed. "You are just as important Torvil, he IS half you, regardless what I may have done" she said firmly
Torvil nodded slowly. "Still can't shake the fact that I did squat..." he muttered rocking Surion. "I wish I could have been more help..." Now why was he suddenly depressed... Was he the one getting the post partum depression? "You did plenty love, you think I coulda done all that by myself? you better forget that nonsense cause I KNOW I couldn't have" she said
Torvil looked up at her with red runnels on his face. "But... But..." He looked back a Surion then at her, and then hugged the child to him softly, crying silently. He held Surion so the child could still see, but not see him crying. Ala sighed
Surion babbled and gummed the blanket not knowing the difference
Torvil looked up a little later. "What's wrong with me..." He muttered weakly, slowly moving to rock Surion. Ala shook her head "I don't know love, perhaps it's the not being used to a child quite like Surion"
Torvil shook his head. "No..." He sniffled. "It's like when you were having your swings... Only... I'm always sad..." Ala sighed "I don't know love, I don't know"
Torvil sniffled. "Hug?" Those always helped him, and he was hugging Surion. Ala nodded and sat down beside him hugging him and their son
Torvil sniffled. "I don't know what's going on..." He sighed. "I feel like I'm happy but at the same time I'm depressed..." He smiled down at Surion and kissed him. "Don't ask me love, just something you have to work through I guess" she said softly
Surion yawned softly and closed his eyes resting his little head against his father's chest sucking both the corner of the blanket and his thumb at the same time
Torvil smiled, and chuckled weakly. "I love him so much... And You too..." He looked up at her. "I love you too Love, and I'm sure Surion does too" she said softly
Torvil nodded and put Surion in his lap, hugging Ala closer. Ala hugged him and kissed his forehead right on the gem softly
Torvil shivered softly, a bit of the depression leaking out into her. Ala pulled away looking at him softly "Love you Torvil" she said softly
Torvil smiled. "Love you too love... Ala love..." He nuzzled her softly. "Shall we lay Surion down? Ala nodded "I think it's about naps time considering he fell asleep in your arms"
Torvil smiled and got up, slowly walking the sleeping babe to the playpen. Ala watched him walk, he really was a very good father, she thought to herself
Torvil lay Surion down slowly in the pen with a smile, and kissed his little head softly. Ala smiled softly and purred taking a seat on the couch
Torvil went to join her, cuddling up against her. Ala purred softly pulling him close to herself
Torvil nuzzled the side of her head softly, kissing her ear. "Mmm..." Ala purred happily as he nuzzled her
Torvil nipped at her ear before sitting back up. Ala pouted playfully as he pulled away *Some time later* Surion squawked wanting attention and a change
Torvil chuckled. "we timed that just about right..." he purred. "I suppose" she mumbled softly and sat up looking at him for a time
Torvil got up and headed off to deal with Surion. Ala relaxed for a moment following her mate yawning audibly
Torvil smiled. "You go get some sleep, I'll handle him and wake you if he wants to eat..." Ala nodded "Ok love" she said and crawled past the two of them into bed pulling the soft blanket over herself
Torvil changed Surion and brushed his finger against his son's cheek for a root check. Ala listened to them for a few then nodded off
Surion blew happy bubbles
Torvil smiled and sat up with his son, rocking him and humming softly.

Do we get time to have intimate time? Not really, maybe a little but not a lot. I love my son with all my heart, but I need some time with my mate alone too, soon I suppose............
