[So, do I call Shin Katanakaji (sp? >.<) now? XD
Aah I want to end the day crying Sorry we didn't get a lot done..]
"Well, you are right. Smaller blades are faster while bigger blades are stronger. Every shinobi should have at least basic weapons knowledge," Sensei said firmly. "If you two are willing to come in for extra lessons every week, or maybe twice a week, I'll pass on what I know. You'll know each other very well in no time at all."
Sensei was, of course, talking about when they would spar each other, of course.
"Well. Anyway," he said, setting himself down on his soft white sofa. "You've done your work, so just relax until dinner is ready, I suppose."

Jericho listened as both sensei and shin spoke and nodded as he heard what the difference between the katana sizes was. “Well I guess I will just have to experiment with the different sizes until I find one that I really like.” Jericho walked over to one of the chairs and plopped himself down on it again. “Yeah I would love to come by after class, or on weekends or whatever, I will take any kind of training that will give me some kind of advantage.”
Jericho looked up at Shin. I wonder if the two of us will get along, he is a little older then me, looks like he knows a lot more about this kind of thing as well. I hope they don’t get fed up with my lack of knowledge with this kinda thing.

He was...hurting...his back? Kira, midway through lifting a box, had a rather odd look on his face. He didn’t feel any pain right now so it was all...right...? What felt like thousands of needles being stuck up on his spine answered that thought as he strained his body in the wrong direction and with a heavy thud, the box dropped back on the ground. The boy grimaced in pain...ok, ok...so what did that teacher say again...? Alter his position...hm...maybe if he try to spread the weight a bit more evenly. Well...it would seem physical work isn’t Kira’s strong point.

As tediously painful as this chore was...the thought of having only two more boxes to go slightly cheered Kira up. He was careful to keep an eye on the steps though as he teetered dangerously out into the hall and down the stairs. Rather than keeping an eye on the end of the stairs, he took one step at a time...which was probably a wiser choice, and leaves less possibility for injuring himself. The last thing he needed was to fall down the stairs...he already had one of the boxes fall on his toe, hit his head twice, once on a concrete floor and the other time into the banister...

Well...it would seem that the task is running a bit more smoothly now. Kira thought happily as he set down his fifth box. Who knew Sensei’s advice would be so helpful? His back was still slightly sore, but if Sensei hadn’t pointed that out before...it would probably hurt even more...not just simply with the usual stinging ache, but having the nerve cells twisted might leave him with a bad back in the future. Well...as of now, there will only be one more box to go.

Was it just his imagination or this last box was heavier than the others? Kira gritted his teeth as he tried to separate the box from the floor. Nope. It didn't want to leave the floor. Angrily, he kicked it...forgetting that his right toe was still hurt. The next moment, Kira was hopping madly on his left foot, clutching his right, anime tears streaming down his face. Damn that hurts... His toe wasn't broken, but is sure felt like it.

Kira might have managed to finally lift the box from the floor but this was only for a brief moment, as in the next moment, the box came crashing down. The boy groaned slightly as some old scrolls spilled out and scattered across the floor. He'll have to pick them up, put them back in the box...before even trying to go down the stairs. Why couldn't he just slide the box down the stairs anyways? Oh...that's right... Another apartment occupant might be coming up the stairs and the box might crack them open in the head.

It seemed like eternity before Kira was finally able to move the last box. At the bottom of the stairs, he dropped into seating position...trying to recover a bit of energy. From what he deduced from this chore...his physical strength was quite meager...his balance a bit better... Common to his clan to have better flexibility than strength...since chakra usually accompanies their taijutsu rather than brute force. Heh... But wasn't that question usually based on how much chakra one has to spare...? Chakra based taijutsus, after all...were meaningless if one didn't have a equally stable chakra reservoir. And considering his was unstable...well...physical strength was something necessary as 'backup'.

Hp: 6/10
A bit of bruises on random places on his body still stung, but Kira focused his mind away by concentrating on the hazy sky. In Kiri...one rarely sees the pure sky...thanks to the thick mist surrounding the island village...shielding Kiri from foreigners. Sometimes, Kira...he wished that Kiri didn't always look like this. Well, sure...it was beautiful with the gleaming white marble streets...but...seeing the sky, and birds flying free, soft white feathers contrasting with the sapphire blue...was something in itself.
---
Hp: 7/10
A small smile crossed his lips as Kira absent mindedly twisted the cross necklace strapped around his neck. He would fix his hat enough so that it did not drape around his eyes. A pair of black framed goggles usually held his hat in place...as a headband would hold a girl's hair in place. Kira hummed lightly to himself, tracing circles in the dust on the cold ground...before his eyes caught a faint flicker of light.
---
Hp: 8/10
Fireflies? The boy thought with surprise as his hazel eyes took in the flickering green-gold dots within the night air. Kiri wasn't a very warm village, being surrounded by the ocean, but it wasn't very cold either. And the fireflies gave their own warmth...making their surroundings seem so much warmer. The look in Kira's cold hazel eyes softened. Lady Hatsuyuki would love to see this... Fireflies were never seen on the Fubuki compound due to the harshly cold weather after all...
---
Hp: 9/10
For the next few minutes, Kira contented himself with quietly observing the glowing dots of light form different shapes. He smiled slightly...one of the fireflies' patterns resembled the calligraphy character for 'life'. Coincidence...? No...there wasn't a such thing as coincidence in this world. He closed his eyes partly. Kira didn't trust in coincidence...everything in this world...was part of some greater plan. It wasn't coincidence that people make certain decisions. And it certainly wasn't coincidence how the Masters became free...
---
Hp: 10/10
Watching the fireflies made Kira forget about the hurt all over his body. But then...the faint light started disappearing, one by one. With a start...Kira realized the fireflies were dying... How sad...their ephemeral lifespans... But then again... Weren't these fireflies alot like people? People live...only as long as they have one breath. The first breath a baby takes was not so different from the last breath of the dying. And just like the fireflies or a dying candle flame...so easily that small flare of life could be snuffed out.

Everyone was done but her. Well everyone but that Kira girl who seemed to be having trouble with the boxes. But even she would be done before her at this rate. She only had one or two boxes to go! And how many sushi rolls did Vesmine still have to complete?!? At least six! If not double that! This was rediculous, she should be able to do this well! She felt like screaming.
Roll = 7-0=7 {Fail} 3/6
Vesimine tried to calm herself, she really did...but in the end she began to furriously chop the sushi in a rage of anoyance. She could only hope in the back of her mind that she wasn't hacking. Haking would be bad, but she supposed she could fix it with a little work. But reguardless she kept swinging and swinging. Cross your fingers and pray no one is standing behind her, they might become her next target.
Roll = 4-0=4 {Fail} 3/6
She was so sick of cooking, she hated it! Though she supposed the boxes wouldn't have been much of any better. Still that wasn't a very good condolence. Vesimine glared vehemetly at the sushi roll in front of her and brought the blade down again and again. She would get this done damnit! The was no other option! She would finish in time for Kira to get done and she would serve dinner.
Roll = 17-0=17 {Pass} 4/6
She would serve dinner, and they would love it! They would have to, or else blood would rain in Sensei's appartment, and he wouldn't like that. Or even worse, if the Sensei didn't like it she would have to kill him - or she could force him to like it! Vesimine had clearly lost her mind but this meant very little in the long run as she would be a great shinobi reguardless.
Roll = 18-0=18 {Pass} 5/6

Vesimine only had one sushi roll to go. Only one, then she would be free of this horrible task. One more! Then she could serve dinner - and as previously stated they would like it or die! There was no option "C" this was a two bubble multiple choice question. They had a fifty/fifty servival chance. If they knew what was good for them they would bow down and hail her like the goddess she was. Well maybe that was taking it a bit far. She laughed sheepishly. She looked down at the roll only to see she had somehow managed to cut it into perfect pieces. She lifted her hand for the next roll and found nothing. 'That's right, I forgot that was my last one.' Yessss! She started jumping up and down before she regained her poise and moved to grab serving dishes.
With those attained she stacked the finished food and placed other pieces side by side. She moved into the dinning room and placed the first plate on the table. She figured Jericho would get the picture and help her but it didn't really matter. Vesimine grabbed a tray and after placing that on the table she opened her mouth and yelled. "Dinner is ready and being placed on the table as we speak! Come sit down please." She continued this pattern of stacking one plate, putting it on the table, then going back for another.
Roll = 13-0=13 {******** Finally!!!! stressed

[Lol!!! Psycho Vesimine! And Muzsa to answer your question (profile commentz) actually... now I've forgotten lol.]
"Dinner!" Sensei said, and there was actually enough emotion in his voice to warrant an exclamation mark! Well, sushi was his favourite food, after all.
"Come on," he said. "I have to say, you've worked hard. Enjoy the fruit of your labours." Vesimine looked a little frazzled and dazed after working so hard, so he said, "Nice job, Fuyu. You too, Ericsson. The appearance of this sushi looks like it can rival the sushi bar's, and the rice has a nice aroma." Of course that was actually more to do with the rice than the cooking but whatever...
"Incidentally," he added as he sat down, "all of you, practice your chakra control tonight. I'm going to teach you more ninjutsu tomorrow. Eventually, we'll get to medical ninjutsu." He had noticed that everyone seemed to get cuts and bruises from doing his sometimes quite grueling tasks and while the pain was nothing the body would use its valuable energy to heal it. It would be much better for chakra to be sapped short-term in healing the wounds, than have your energy level sapped long-term after all.

((Same last name as the clan never actually goes by their true names to preserve the secrecy of their art))
Shin quickly woke up from the couch at the mentin of food. He was a big eater, so big in fact that some in the family called him the boy with the iron stomach. He rose and moved to the table in a half run, sitting down in the first place setting he found. Turning first to the teacher he thanked him for the opportuniy, "Thank you sensei for allowing us to train and eat in you home. I will gladly come for weekend lessons and anytime there is food around." And then turning towards the cooks Shin clasped his hands together and gave a quick thanks for the meal saying, "Itadakimasu" to both of them. After getting the formalities out of the way, Shin began to serve himself by shovelling food onto his plate.
