Master of Gladiators Okay, after talking to FARGORE, I have been instructed to make the following nerf/announcement: Council badge: E2, nullify one normal attack each round directed at your character. This counts as a Stun effect. The new stats for this item are considered in effect as soon as is considered reasonably possible for anyone currently engaged within a Dungeon, Mini-Game, Tourney, or the like. If this creates a problem for any character that was specifically designed with only one point of Equip, you will be given the option of shifting an additional point as necessary to account for the new cost, or quitting the Council entirely with no adverse affect.

I have a quick question here. Is 16 the maximum that the combat dice stat can reach? Or can it go higher? I kinda need to know so I can plan what I need to do.

It can go higher, but Fargore only has up the chart to that high because he doesn't expect anyone to go higher than that. But yes, I do believe that it can go higher than 16.

Well with 5 potions of combat bringing me to 15 and an additional 2 from my spirit bracer, I would have a combat dice stat of 17. So I kinda want to know what that would be.

Isn't that convenient that a nerf happens to me as I come close to completing the tournament. The last person to get this far, Kail'igen, also got a nerf on an item he was using in his tournament. Yet it was stated that it would not affect him in his. I find this rather unfair and to be a completely obvious attempt at eliminating all chance of me being able to even get close to winning this tournament. There should be some sort of balance here, rather than just letting the DM bash out the new guy who was just trying his best...

Alright, thank you very much. First thing first though, I want to use the Divine Ramuna to give me 1CP which I will put into equip. Then I will also move 1CP from Resistance Attack to equip. Then I would also like to purchase 4 Combat Potions and 1 Elixir of Action for 250 chips. The resulting stats would be this:
Character name: Norlamin Boulderblade Attack: 0 Defense: 0 Combat Dice: (0) Magic: 0 Life: 30 (6) Equip: 3 Abilities: Regeneration (2), Resistance Attack (3), Resistance Magic (3), Resistance Special (3), Special Attack "Bone Crusher" (5), Potion +2 (1) Items: Council Badge (E1), Combat Potion x5, Elixir of Action, Spirit Bracer (6/10c) Spells: N/A Actions: Punch, Taunt, Stunning Blow, Power Up, Defensive Hold, Special Block, Spell Block Money: 450 Chips

Standing in the center of the area is a dark figure. You cannot distinguish any form underneath the black cloak, there appears to be only dark mist. There is a pair of red glowing orbs in the center of the hood that conceals everything else. At the end of one of the arm sleeves is a Scythe. It moves forward, as if floating towards you.
Character name: Death (60) counts as a boss
Attack: 20 Defense: 0 Combat Dice: none Magic: 10 Life: 2 (10) Equip: 4 Abilities: status undead, Fighter Mage, Mirror Damage, SA: Scythe Slash (10), skilled actor, skilled caster, Stun Defense Items: Scythe Spells: energy burst Actions: Chi cannon
Mirror Damage: 6cp, you deal double any type of damage back to anyone who uses that damage type against you that round, counts for all damage types they use.
Death will attack, use energy burst, Chie cannon, and his special attack.
((Sorry, Fargore, for the cut and paste of this. I just thought you described it best for this round. sweatdrop ))

Norlamin walks slowly into the next arena. Knowing his chances at beating Death himself were slim, he takes his time in removing the stone on his side. Removing the vials contained there, he looks at them for a moment before eating them whole. Replacing the stone on his side, the liquid from the vials begin to take effect as his forearms start to harden into a hardened crystalline form. "We will see if the wheels of fate will be in my favor today my friend." With that Norlamin charges Death and delivers a massive blow to him with fist. Knowing that his attack would only backfire on him, he lifts up diamond arms and braces himself for the impending attack.
Use 1 Elixir of Action: +2Ap Use 5 Combat Potions: +15 Combat Dice Use 1 Charge on Spirit Bracer (now 5/10): +2 Combat Dice Special Attack: Death Council Badge: Death Defensive Hold (-2Ap): Block Combat Dice Roll x2 of Special Damage
Hp: 30/30 Ap: 1 Mp: 1

20 (Chie cannon) + 20 (Mirror damage. You caused 10 special so he causes 20 special.) + 20 (Special Attack)=60-62= -2 20 (energy burst) - 6 (resistance) = 14 14 - 2 (regen) = 12
18/30=Norlamin
Death- 0/10 1- Dead 2-4 Alive
DEATH HAS BEEN CONQUERED!!!
Fargore can take control of the tournament from here.

One thing wrong in your calculations, mirror damage doubles the damage he deals to me of the same type I dealt him. This is what Fargore told me. It should have been like this:
20 (Chie Cannnon) + 20 (Special Attack) = 40 x 2 (Mirror Damage) = 80 - 62 (Defensive Hold) = 18 - 6 (Special Resistance) = 12 Special Damage 20 (Energy Burst) - 6 (Magic Resistance) = 14 Magic Damage 12 + 14 = 26 - 2 (Regeneration) = 24 Total Damage
6/30 = Norlamin
But still that doesn't change that I won. HOLY $% I WON!
Norlamin stands over the broken form of Death. "So that was the tournament. I have to admit it got a little scary near the end. So now what, I just looked Death in the eye and won. Is there anything else?"

((Congratulations, though I must say you lucked out in the fact that Kail had gotten to the tenth boss before you so he was revealed and you could figure out a strategy to beat him. Never the less, good tournament, though its not quite over yet ninja ))
