A small gasp escaped her lips as she realized that Derrik's presence had decided to come here.
She go up hastily, pushing humans into the chair she had been in to try and cover her scent.
She rushed out of the place and ran into the large building labeled "Library."

Evangeline arrived at the cafe only a few minutes after leaving with Derrik. She stood at his side although much shorter considering she had a childs body. She look up at him and waited for his next move.

Derrik held Evangeline close to him, the humans surrounding them overpowering with different scents. It was worse than throwing an alcoholic into an unsupervised pub.
He ushered Evangeline into an empty booth.
"This world is so curious..." He spoke in a whisper that humans could not hear.

"It has changed alot." She said softly and sat at the booth looking at the humans who were ignorant to what was sitting in the small cafe with them. There wasn't even ten others in the cafe at that time. It was a dead day it seemed like. She looked back at him. "See anything you like?" She whispered softly.

Derrik chuckled.
"They all smell simply wonderful. I'm afraid I can't decide! Who would you like to have join us?"
He asked her softly.
It was almost like they were shopping for a new puppy.

She looked around to examine each human. She looked at a table that had two young humans. A woman and a man who were obviously in love, there was all the signs: Head bit in whispering to each other, gazing into each others eyes, smiling, the works. "Those two." She said simply with a light smile. She looked back at him.

Derrik smiled.
"Lovebirds. What would they be good for? If not for eachother?" He asked curiously.
"Would their love surpass such a terrorizing change?"

"I really doubt they will be in love once they realize that blood is better." She whispered quietly. "We could only take one if you want." She shrugged softly. "The other could be lunch." She giggled softly and smiled at him.

Derrik chuckled.
"No...we can take both."
He got up from his seat, bowing before the two in love.
"Hello there Madam and Sir. Are you interested in joining a family of sorts? Free room and board, all the food you'd need to live...forever." He chuckled softly.
"We are looking for such lovely people as you." He spoke earnestly.

Evangeline folloed and looked at the two with very hungry eyes. The couple looked at them curiously then back at each other unsure of what to say. The man looked at Derrik and shrugged. "That would be great. We've been looking for a home for the passed two days." He nodded with a light smile.

Derrik smiled.
"Excellent! I know a free home sounds curious, it's just that my place is so large i can't stand it being unused! Money is no issue, I have enough to go around for everyone!" He chuckled.
He turned to Evangeline.
"This is my lovely Evangeline. She's very helpful in the..home."

The couple smiled at the girl then looked back at Derrik. "I understand." The man nodded. "But, we can't stay forever. We will only stay until we find our own house." He said.

A twinge of guilt struck him. But screw that human emotion.
He smiled.
"But of course."
He smiled at Evangeline.
"How about we show you the place then?"

The couple nodded then stood up. Evangeline looked at Derrik and gestured for him to lead them. She smiled at him happily.

"If you'll follow me...."
He led them down the street a fair ways, the walk long, and at an achingly human pace, but they finally made it.
