Grey turned then began to walk in the opposite direction. That was when his vision started to blur. The cement below his feet started moving as he stumbled forward. He'd used up too much energy, it seemed even though his skills in controlling shadow were more developed than the teenage girls. He was still bound by certain limits. He hadn't even noticed that his limit was met while speaking with them. And the nightmares he'd summoned vanished into smoke before his weary eyes. He turned toward the remaining forces fatiqued and barely able to stand up. There was no getting away from this one, he had no other option left to him but stand and fight. Oddly he started to notice something about the side he was on. As evil as the enemies deeds were they were united fighting together. When he attacked one of them another would come to there aid. Here he was on the side of good yet there wasn't a soul coming to his. A mutant lunged forward throwing fire from his hands. The target was his torso but Grey managed to move enough to the left to receive the blow to his right arm. The fire twinged as it burnt away his sleeve, he used his right arm to rip away the burning sleeve saving the rest of his shirt. His arm was exposed as the flame continued to turn the sleeve laying on the ground into ash. A logo was tattooed on his arm with a number below it that read experiment number 3.

Kikyo sat in a tree. she had actually saw this coming, though she didn't know why. what i suspected to be air escaping, was his breaths! he used his power to keep himself alive, so he could watch Jake suffer. his are the kind i hate the most she thought as she prepared to make the hand seals.

Johnathan teleported back to the city.He shook his head as he watched Kikyo,he walked calmly down the blood-covered street,observing the result of the masaqure with glee.

Grey breathed heavily as he took a knee. I can't continue this fight, I wanted to drive the enemy back to wherever they came from. But now I'm not so sure if they really are the enemy or not. I failed you students, I should have been there to protect you instead of running off trying to handle things on my own. I guess old habits are hard to break but perhaps I will be forgiven in time. He got up and began to walk toward the enemy as several of them started to move forward toward them. Several cars flipped over from a blast of energy that came from several of the mutants. The smoke rose into the air as the silhouette of Grey disappeared in the smoke. When the smoke cleared thirty seconds later the area was covered with debris and ash.

Kikyo jumped down and looked up at Johnathan. she was showing no emotion as she performed more hand seals, sending weapons at Johnathan again.

Kikyo had seen the attack coming at Jake and sent a kunai at the dagger, sending it out of the path. she looked at Raine and walked closer to her and farther from the tree where Johnathan was. "sneak attacks aren't that fair you know" she said as she stopped a good fifteen feet in front of Raine.

"maybe to you, but not to me" Kikyo said as a bow and a quiver of arrows appeared in her hands. she strapped the quiver around her waist and took and arrow. she knocked it and took aim, but didn't fire.
