"I want my little brother here with me, safe and sound, no injuries, pain, or harm done to him. I want to hold him in my arms, I want him to live with me." Shizuku could feel tears come to her eyes as she said what she desired.

"The villages orphange." Shizuku responded. "No...funny business." She commented. "He has dark brown hair that's almost black, and icy blue eyes."

Ikko started to walk away. "he'll be safe with me. I'll be back with him, wait here." Ikko said to Shizuku.

Ikko almost disappeared from sight if it weren't for the moon hitting his crimson robes he would have. Ikko let his speed pull him away from the tree, he soon arrived at the fence of the orphanage. Ikko lobbed a senbon skyward and jumped up beside it as the what was once a senbon transformed into a thick block of wood, Ikko used the wood as a second jump and cleared the fence, as he left the wood it took the form of a senbon once more.

Ikko found the front door a picked it as if it where open already and made his way to the office. In the office chair slept the supervisor of the children, Ikko didn't need anything to interfere with him and his work so he sprayed a strong sleeping gas into the supervisor's loud snoring mouth and made his way to a large filing cabinet. Ikko moved through the files for Shizuku's brother personal file, he shortly found it and took it with him to the third floor where the file said his bed laid. The boy was found easily with his noticeable dark brown hair, the boy was hit with the same sleeping gas as the supervisor. Ikko picked up the boy and threw him on to his back, he carried the boy to the front yard soundlessly.

Now Ikko could run the rest of the way, he used his speed to jump the fence in one go then sprinted to the nearest alley. Ikko had no trouble on his way back to the tree, when he arrived back Shizuku hadn't noticed him yet so he walked up to her slowly.

"I'm back and no harm was done." Ikko offered the sleeping child off of his back.

"Ginrei..." Shizuku took her little brother in her arms, and got down on her knees, holding him.

"You've...grown..." She whispered, looking at the sleeping child. "I promised. Mother...that wretched woman, she would have hurt you, the same way she hurt me...and I couldn't...let it happen." She said, thinking aloud.

She felt his soft dark brown hair between her fingers, and examined him, and wasn't paying much attention to Ikko.

Ikko looked down upon the two siblings from under his hood.

"Here you'll want this, you can do with it as you please." Ikko said as he dropped her brother's file next to her. "Now they have no hard copy of him ever having been there, he can start a new life. I knocked him out with a sleeping gas, he'll be awake by morning."

Ikko turned from Shizuku and her brother then started to walk away.

"Thank you..." Shizuku bowed her head, and watched him leave.

'Such a mysterious person...'

"Uh...Ginrei..." She looked down at her brother, and picked up the file in one hand, and put him on her back, holding his legs, and his arms rested on either side of her shoulder.

Keeping him rested against her back, she smiled to herself. "I...have you now Ginrei..." She said quietly, and walked back to Reijin's place, him quietly asleep on her back.

Reijin lifted himself slowly out of the water, drying off and donning his clothes again. He sighed, not sure what to think anymore. All of this was just too much again... he felt like one more surprise, one more shock, one more lie... would make him snap.

He exited the bathhouse, looking up at the moonlit sky, and sighing once again. He decided to take a longer route back, not wanting to go home just yet in case Shizuku had already returned. He headed down to the bridge, and walked down to its very middle, looking out at the reflection the moon and the stars made on the quiet surface of the water. He wished he could find an answer... a solution to all these problems. He felt so small... all of a sudden, he felt light-headed, and then he was on the ground, his eyelids slowly shut...

A moonlit grotto opened up to him, and the ground came up beneath him. A large crystal pillar, rounding in to a point at the top, sat in the center of an enclosed fountain, the water sparkling with the reflection that the beatiful gem made.

"Wha...where am I?" He asked himself. However, the words did not come out of his mouth. Instead, his thoughts were projected from the sky above, his words echoing through the trees. He stepped forward, and with the step, the scenery with it.

The ground erupted in pillars of flame, spewing lava and ash as they went. The ground soon became coated in it... however, Reijin realized that it did no harm to him. Bewildered, he stepped forward, and he was lifted up from the ground, now getting a larger birds-eye view of his surroundings.

The world was in chaos. The great shinobi villages were in ashes, pillars of smoke rising and expanding from their burning wreckage. People ran for their lives, only to drop dead, from what Reijin could not see. He took another step forward...

He was in a dark corridor. He took a step forward again, but this time the scenery did not change. Tense now, he moved down the hall, no idea where he was going, or even able to see in front of him. After a short period, he arrived in a chamber, torches lighting in a circular fashion around it. The flames burned of silver heat...

He continued forward, until he was standing in the center of the chamber, his feet over the top of a strange symbol. Looking ahead, two massive flames erupted out of the ground, revealing the most intriguing and unbelievable sight Reijin had ever layed eyes upon.

Upon the seat of a large, lavish silver throne, sat a deity. Even without knowing who or what this creature was, Reijin could sense an air of regality so high it almost choked him. The man-like figure stood, and revealed its appearance to Reijin. Wearing what appeared to be armor wrought of silver was truly his flesh, and appeared to be completely impermeable. His right arm changed shape, morphing into a long blade. His left arm raised suddenly, and Reijin was pulled closer, looking straight into the eyes of this deity. White pearls, glowing like twin suns, pierced straight through Reijin's very being. That was all he could see of his face, for the rest was concealed by a helmet, adorned with a silver spiked crown on the top.

"Youuuuu... arrrre... he who willll... possesss the powerrrr to restorrrrrre the worllllld to peace...." He said slowly and calmly, his words seeming to slither off his tongue. "Youuu... arrrrre... the....."

The world around Reijin seemed to phase out for a moment, and then all he could see was white light, blinding him. The world came up at him again, and he awoke, lifting himself up and holding his head.

"What... what was that? I feel... so strange..."

He knew that there was more to that dream than he had gotten to see. But what? He asked himself. He knew that there would be more to come... He shook his head slightly, now completely unsure of himself. He started down the street again, heading towards town again to get something to drink and relieve his head.

Shizuku got into Reijin's place. "Oh...how am I going to explain this...we now have an extra mouth to feed." She carried her brother into her room, and opened the door.

Walking over to her bed, she unfolded the covers, and laid him down gently, and then covered him up, making sure he was warm. Pulling up a chair, she kept an eye on him, and tapped her foot softly on the floor to his breathing. Opening the file that she still had in her hand, she examined the contents it.

"Name: Genrei ????, Age, 5, came to us in the midnight hour one night, his name on a note. Unknown of clan, and abilities, may be ninja material, unsure. Acts rather odd, plays with other kids now and again, but distances himself from them. It's as if they are strange or turned against him. He seems, to know what we are thinking, he doesn't listen much. Don't anger, he becomes uncontrollable, and very angry. Turn to page 3, to read incidents that have occured."

"Interesting..." Shizuku glanced up from her reading, then turned to the page, and looked. "Oh my..." Her eyes widened.

"Hit another kid, beating them up, leaving bruises, and a mess of blood. Violent, we put him away in his room for awhile. Kid severly injured, sent off to hospital. Child is a threat to others."

Shizuku couldn't believe the small part of the paper she had read. Deciding not to continue, she stuck the file in a dresser drawer, deciding to burn it later on. She withdrew Yau, the katana's blade gleaming in the moonlight that shown through the window. Sheathing it, she held the sword in her left hand.

"He's a handful...how am I going to explain all this? Five years ago...I...left him there at that place. I hope he can take all this in." She sighed, pulling her hair from her face.

"Oh dear...Reijin. I've already lied, hidden things from him, and now this." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I hope he can handle all this. After this..no more hiding...I need to open up to him. I love him to much to hide myself away." She nodded in approval as she thought aloud.

"I should tell him...about my bloodline trait...but he might just hate me for it. I'll find him...it's been a few hours, it should be okay."

She focused for a moment. "Give...me strength." She blinked, and her eyes changed from there usual color. The world around her was changed again. "Find....Reijin." She blinked, and she was suddenly in his mind. Seeing what he saw, she noticed that he was heading her way.

"Ahh! What? What is this....I'm...something dark...lurks, within his mind..." She blinked, and fell out of the chair, cringing in pain."What...what was that?! "I...feel tired again." She muttered, sprawled out on the floor. Standing up, she slowly got back into the wooden chair, and sat down. "That was weird. Hmm?" She looked at her arms.

Letting out a gasp, her seal marks, had returned. "No...no!" She shivered in fear. "I...I..dreaded it...it's back...or...maybe...somethings different!" She began to panic. Slowing her breathing, she tried to grasp what had happened.

"I knew...I shouldn't have...done that. But...what the heck was that..entity?" She looked at her arms again, shaking her head in shame.

Reijin treaded slowly back to his home, dreading a confrontation with Shizuku. It was late, and the last thing he wanted was to have to talk with her about all this. But he had to go back at some point... it was HIS house, after all.

After pausing to take a deep breath, his heart pounding a dull beat, he collected himself enough to be able to stand opening the door, hoping dearly that Shizuku would be down to bed already. But when he opened the door, there she was, standing there. Eyes wide, he calmed himself quickly, giving her a look of mixed feelings: flashes of anger, distrust, and depression. He couldn't even open his mouth to say something, just started to make for the door to his room.

"Wait...Reijin!" Shizuku quickly went after, and met him in the hall way, and grabbed his hand.

"You might hate me...or think I'm distrustful." She hung her head. "Well...I have a little brother. His name is Ginrei. He's with us now. I...I shouldn't have brought him, but, I felt I had to, I knew he deserved better. Ginrei's asleep on my bed." She kept her voice down.

"The...seal has returned...on my arms." She glanced down at them, then up at Reijin, thinking of what he would make of it. She could tell how he was feeling.

Reijin stopped in his tracks, his eyes concealed by shadows as he looked down at the ground. Prying his hand from Shizuku's grasp, he walked away, stopping a few feet away from her with his back turned.

"I gave you a home... I fed you... I stayed by your side... and you return the favor by concealing everything about yourself, doing things behind my back without telling me... and now THIS?!"

He turned to her, anger strewn across his face.

"How did you think I was going to support this child? I can barely make it through the month with a second person to provide for! Why didn't you think this through? Where did he even come from?!"

He ran a hand through his long black hair, stressed, outraged, and completely confused as he paced back and forth, wanting to hit something, and hard.

"I...wasn't thinking clear..I didn't want him to become just like his big sister! He came from the orphanage! He's my little brother! " Shizuku was on the verge of tears. She was speechless.

"Uh..uh...uh..." She stuttered, not able to find her words. "I'll leave then!" She turned and ran into her room, and came back out with her brother over her shoulder, and him safely wrapped in a blanket.

Heading for the door, she opened it, and slammed it shut behind her. Mixed feelings, and sorrow reacked havoc on her heart. "There...I won't be a burden." She slowly walked away from his house, and had no idea where she was going.
