for the first few minutes, then it gets a bit heavy, and i squint to read the music

lol. idk. first i put my reed in my mouth. than i connect the mouth piece to the neck, set that down. take out my neck strap, than put it on the base, than put the neck on the base. walk into the room and put my reed on my mouthpiece. so maybe like 4 minutes

For the piano.. the piano chair. xD 4. What classification does your BD rank under?Basically, our adoptive father. Occasionally strict, but he cares about us. He feeds us ((we get food before football games)), clothes us ((uniforms)), and makes sure we get good grades ((so we can march)). 5.How many in your section?There are.. a lot of alto saxophones. In some of the more brutal events, my saxophone has actually knocked a trumpet out of someone's hand. There were no scratches or dents on my saxophone ((I was renting it, and it was new and intended to be for concerts)), though near the end of the year, it came close to getting one. I was walking up the stand stairs, which happened to be concrete, and tripped. Luckily, I managed to get both of my hands under my instrument, and the sax never suffered a scratch. I must say, though, it took a good deal of time for my hands to heal from that one. And my gloves are still blood-stained. 16.Do you look good while you play your instrument?How am I supposed to know? I'm focusing on the band director that's waving at us on the podium. 17. Best compliment for your playing?"You've been playing the bassoon for two weeks, and already you sound better than Brennan." Brennan is a sophomore trumpet, by the way. 18. And I once tripped the guy in front of me in the middle of a show. I had an untied shoe ((I had triple-knotted it before the show; what happened?!)), and I was trying to keep from tripping over my own laces by taking a bit smaller steps, while he took larger steps than he was supposed to. He tripped backwards, nearly fell, then recovered and kept going like nothing happened. my picc has none, but i've only had it a few weeks and i'm too careful with it.

flute -> my BD making me try out for all state when she doesn't let many [if any] sophomores try out ever. especially on flute.
piccolo -> my first lesson with it, my private lessons teacher told me i had a great natural sound.

double contrabass flute. it's beautiful, but also really weird.

i start out, yes. if it's an easier piece i do, if not i usually just concentrate more on the piece.

An English horn. Those things R wierd! There like an oboe but the bell has....U know on cartoons where like when somthing round gets stuck in like an Elephat's trunk or somthing? That little round think in the middle of this skinny thing? That's what's at the bell.
