My school is doing a movie music concert tomorrow and we're playing 20th Century Fox, Mask of Zorro, Lion King, Harry Potter, Wizard of Oz, PotC, Star Wars, and Star Trek.

oh, and as far as opera/theatre goes, we've done/are doing:
Phantom of the Opera,
Barber of Seville,
Les Miserables and;
Carmen
<3 sweatdrop my old BD went crazy with the movie themes, and my current BD rather enjoys Opera... ^__^

I think movie music is loads of fun,it is something that almost everyone knows and likes, it (usualy) is fun to play. Next year's field show for my band is gonna be the Incedibles should be cool

we r playing pirates of the carribean this year
last year we played star wars >.<
and the year b4 that we plaed harry potter
i like pirates the best XD

lol, lets see, we've played 2 star wars songs, the pink panther, jesus christ superstar (that was our half-time show this year), we are playing Shehazerad(sp?) (our half-time show for the 09-10 school year), 2 pirates of the caribbean, and i think thats it. =D

We did Phantom of the Opera and Selections from CHICAGO
... I have to admit, I loved watching Chicago... some really good band music. Watch it sometime.

we've done Star Wars , Raiders of the lost ark, superman,batman,et, jurassic park , Home alone Harry potter and Halo(not a movie) Oh and Phantom of the Oprah and Nightmare before Christmas

We did High School Musical 3 (our band was apologizing for any wrong done to make us do that, we HATED that music) Pirates of the Caribbean (of course) Star wars (of course) ET and harry potter

Our BD was never to much into movie music, infact he stayed away from it as much as he could, but we did manage to force him into letting us play

Movie music? Yes, could we do something OTHER than movie music for a change? sweatdrop No we don't always do movie music but we get a lot of it. This year we have 007, Pirates of the Caribbean (band arrangement), previously we've had Wizard of Oz, Spider Man, Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Superman, Austin Powers, Harry Potter (Hedwig's Theme), and Zorro among others I can't remember...
