Ben was standing in the back of the cave working on the machine. If Smash didn't know any better, it would have seemed that he was working on it all night, but it wasn't the case. He went to sleep after him, but got up before him. "Morning."

"mornin." he got up and walked up to him. he looked the machine over. "how's it coming?"

He crossed his arms and looked it over. "It would be even better if I had those parts I left behind. Get something to eat. We'll be heading out as soon as you're done."

"alright then." he had some meat and had enough to get through the day. he drank some more water and soon they were ready to go.

Ben had grabbed his bag and supplies and then exited the cave, starting to climb up the cliff. Once he was up there, he entered the forest and started to lead Smash to the place where he found the equipment at, keeping an ear and eye out for Xandus' creatures.

he followed him in and sniffed the air for monsters. there didnt seem to be any around but he kept his eye out for them. "get the equipment quick."

They got to the spot and Ben started digging through the scrap metal and grabbed the things that he was looking over the day before. Once he got what he had taken note of, he looked around some more trying to find other things. "Just keep using that nose of yours."

he kept sniffing but then picked up on something. it wasnt close but it could be bad if it spotted them. "hurry up. theres one near by."

He grabbed a few things and loaded them in his bag. "Alright. Let's head back, then." He took the net into his hands and the controller as they started to leave where they were.

he quickly lead them out of the forest and back to the cave without being noticed. he climbed up to the cave and entered with him.

Once they were inside, he started to unload everything. "Well, I'm glad we got them that easily. I don't need your help anymore today. If you want to go out and train, go ahead, sir." He continued to shift through the things he just got and grinned as he tore some of it apart for parts.

"alright then. i'll be back soon." he went back outside to his usual training spot and began his training for the day.

Some of the monsters were watching him and one growled, but didn't attack. They were acting strange. Like they wanted to go and maul him, but something was keeping them held back.

he sniffed and noticed they were watching him. he was ready if the attack but they didn't move. he wondered why they didn't come out to attack like they always did. this just made him worried about something else that might happen.

They seemed to run away and the one gave a roar before leaving. Without notice, Xandus had jumped from the forest and had delivered a punch to his side with a bladed gauntlet, digging into his skin. "Found you!"
