[I thought Shiran died... surprised what are you rolling? 7/15 and lol sorry Iev!]

While waiting for the reply from Saya Amadeus continued to travel. The landscape was becoming flatter and more well.. rice-fieldy now, with paddies and all that. Various farmers were planting rice and Amadeus couldn't help but wonder how Otogakure would protect them should an invasion force come. They were easily half an hour's quick travel away and shinobi only needed seconds to kill. As he moved, he thought he heard something behind him, and speaking of which oh yeah Nakamura had sent Zenjin. Amadeus had assumed that he was following from behind, and probably correctly.

Tana was flying languidly towards Otogakure. He attracted many odd looks from villagers who were unused to seeing a bat of such size. Well, a wingspan of 2 metres was kind of impressive although Tana had seen much better. Of course, these humans probably hadn't.

He looked down critically, at this young boy that Amadeus had decided to let tag on the trip for some obscure reason or another. Seriously now. His curiosity was piqued, though, by the armour the kid wore even though it was as hot as anything, even at night. Did that kid think he was going to be attacked at any moment or something?

"Kid!" he called from above. "Whatever your name is. What's with the armour, aren't there more protective things that store less heat? Has to be boiling inside!"

[d20 + (23 Wis mod + 83 Listen) x2 = d20 + 212]

Incidentally, when it says double skill.. XD do we count the modifier bit as part of the double? Because as you can see the result will differ drastically surprised ]

[I thought he was dead too. He's still in the dead shinobi section in Taki. Pffff... forget 15 posts. Zenjin's been to Oto before. He'll just use the Transporting Mist Jutsu once Amadeus/Saya get there. *lol* I think double Skill would be Double Listen only. It's not a double formula, just double skill so the total would be 208. 3nodding ]

Zenjin remained going at his constant speed, keeping a watchfull on them from the far left area of the rice patty fields. The scent of rice was bothersome to his senses. Instead of stopping to shake his maw free from the rice scent's grip, he just continued to run along as if nothing was bothering him at all. Other than the scent of rice, were humans. Which could only have meant that they were very near to the village. He knew he would have to come back here eventually, but, he didn't think it would be this soon.

He didn't like the Land of Rice or the villages within it. All it took was one bad thing to happen to spoil the taste of the land in one's mouth. He heard the bat shout at the child that shouldn't have been in the mission to begin with, and couldn't help but wonder why Amadeus had allowed such insubordination. If it was me, he would have gone to train instead of being sent on a mission of diplomatic proportions... and it couldn't hurt to run reconissance while I'm at it. he thought to himself, knowing full well what Nakamura wanted him to do if the chance arose to do so. He darted across the open field into another, zipping past those that worked at night. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed one of the workers stand and stare at where he had come from, a dazed look in his eyes. He expected such a reaction from a civilian who's eyes were sad at best when it came to night-vision. Nakamura, we are approaching the village. I'll let you know when we arrive. he called through his link. He was sure she would get his message.

(oh... my bad. That was his spot.)
Shiran continued on through the vast forests of Oto. Why anyone would call it rice country was beyond him. It was probably only about five percent rice farms. Perhaps he would see about renaming it. Forest country wouldn't do though... perhaps snake country. After all the forest had a vast number of snakes which is why it was off limit to genin. At least further in anyways. Infact something seemed strange. He hadn't seen much of anything at all. Something had either spooked the animals or he was probably being hunted. No matter which it made Shiran quicken his pace.

There was another crack underneath the raven haired shinobi's foot as he nearly stumbled. He was beggining to get out of practice for sure. Everything was much to eary while using his eyes and not even their ultimate form. From now on he decided not to use them except under the most extreme of situtaions. Or perhaps to just screw around. Or maybe when he wanted to learn something he didn't know... or maybe... you know what. Scratch that last bit. Shiran's face cracked into a smile and he laughed a little. "I am hopeless..."
PostPosted: Wed Jul 02, 2008 5:16 pm

"I could really use a change in scenery about now," Shiran sighed. He was getting sick of the trees. Lucky for him he could notice the thinning of the trees and more light up ahead. In a few moments he would break through and be running across the fields of Oto. How strange he started to feel as he got nearer to it to. Finally confronting the past seemed odd. Well here was his moment. Breaking through the trees of Oto he began running across the fields again. Memories of his child hood flashed before his eyes here and the day he left he remembered standing at the edge of the forest while looking back at the village with tears in his eyes. All that he had left behind... How much he missed it all.
(exit to Oto feilds. Might as well finish my travel there.)

Nakamura's voice seemed to appear from out of nowhere to Amadeus and Amadeus alone. Her Whispering Winds jutsu was a site to behold, even if it wasn't a guarentee that he would believe everything he heard.

"Amadeus,
It's me, Nakamura. You aren't going to believe what just happened here. The Fire Master attacked Takigakure. I can only suspect that he waited until you left to attack the village. Let alone, how he even found the village. He tried to burn the village down.

Don't get alarmed. I managed to put out the fires myself before any real harm was done. As you probably suspect by now, I wouldn't be telling you this so calmly if things didn't go well. Strike another Master off of the list, for the Fire Master is dead.

I'll tell you all about it when you get back. I have his Naginata as proof of his defeat. It will be stored in the Shrine untill you get back. Among other things, there are a few more people you will met upon your return."

Her voice slowly faded away, and as quickly as it came to Amadeus, it was gone.

A silent figured brought up the rear suppressing his chakra all this way but suddenly an explosion of raw energy emitted from his as he remembered the last time he had ever thought of this place, His long last friend Tategami Rei. Strange how he had completely forgotten about the boy in his time of need during such a war as this. It was all too funny to remember all the missions they ran together before Karite surpassed him and continue to raise through the ranks. If any shinobi within a five mile radius was smart they knew Konpaku or a Kage was in the vicinity. With that much chakra released at once it was beyond enough to signal anyone of their oncoming arrival. Konpaku only did that when he was A.) Nervous. Or B.) Fighting with his inner demons. This at this moment was losing strength do to the death of two masters.

Hiro jumped as he heard a mention of his armor. He flipped up his visor and looked at the bat. He held out his hand to cover the scorching sun. He blinked a couple of times before smiling and saying in a sly tone, "What makes you think this is metal?" He laughed and continued, "This is actually made of a very light material that is durable and cool" he stretched his hands out in a stretch and said, "quite comfortable". He flipped his visor back down and a display flipped back up. He had remembered again, he needed to craft some puppets for a possibly new jutsu of his.

Saya smiled hisitantly. "The wolf summon... Being a Henka of the Canine branch, a more canine animal partner or summon is to be expected and approved of... so I chose the Wolves., as I am a wolf myself... they are easier to understand, and I like to travel... despite where the journey takes me. Despite the calm atmosphere that this village posesses... the aura of its origins are still running about..." A small sigh escaped as she bolted forward.

8/15

Amadeus continued to travel, keeping an ear open on the conversation behind, when suddenly Nakamura's voice entered his mind. When she finished, he continued to move, but his thoughts were extremely elsewhere. Takigakure had been attacked?! But it was all right now. And that was another Master down for the count. He would have good news to tell Saiya. Looking back at his comrades, he decided that he would tell them all later. He nodded quietly to himself before a satisfied smile broke out on his face.

Whilst waiting for an answer, Tana amused himself by looking out at the people working and travelling - and he could see a lot, from where he was up there - and, of course, imagining horrible things happening to them. Ah, that young boy. Careful with that sickle now, or it may cut your chest. That old man fondling his wife, are you sure she doesn't have another man somewhere? Saya with her wolves, what if they all fall into a pit? What if Zenjin falls into a pit? It was undoubtedly malicious but hey, this was Tana, and he made no pretenses of it. In the bat world things were never kept under wraps and presented as they were. It was enough of a hassle being able to use only sound to see after all.

9/15

Not sooner after his smile did Amadeus feel the explosion. It was Konpaku. Jesus, were they never going to be able to travel undetected or at least covertly? Stilll, his mood was still strong after Nakamura's news and Amadeus didn't pay much attention to it, at least until it continued for so long that even he got worried.

"You lead,"
he said lightly to Saya, before dropping back until he was next to Konpaku. "Anything I can do?" he said to him, before dropping his voice. "You know... don't you."

And that kid... Armour boy, he would overheat one da- For better or for worse, Tana was brought from his musings by the reply of said boy.

"What material?" the bat questioned abrasively and suspiciously. "From my experience, ninja armour? It sucks. ANBU armour does nothing against a decent onslaught," he finished flippantly, before his lips curved into a grin. "Or is that a clan secret? It's okay, we all have our own."

"Yes, unfortunately. About everything this clan is is secret.." Hiro nodded and continued to walk down the path. " It is very different from your average armor. There is three ways of using it, depending on your allegiance to a certain power". He nodded and continued, "I chose the path of Gomankeii, the Tanku god. This allows me to use jutsu to strengthen my body and armor at the cost of speed. Next is the Reinji, who choose the path of Sokkokeii, the Reinji god. There path is opposite that of the Tanku, they use long ranged weaponry to stay out of the path of attacks. The last is the Amari, who follow the path of Hihankeii. They are a complete balance between the two other branches." Hiro had no clue why he went off on the rant, but it was better then just walking silently. "Sorry if I bored you" He said with a feeble, unseen smile.

[I have a feeling you are all riding on me to get there... like... hey, Amadeus finished his 15 posts! He was pulling us all along so yeah! XD D:]

Tana nodded genially which turned quickly to confusedly as the boy proceeded to spill some clan secrets. Sure, admittedly they were pretty low level and he was sure that if he wanted, he'd be able to find out easily... well, maybe they were super low level secrets or something.

"Don't the gods fight amongst themselves for followers?" he asked Hiro. He was actually becoming interested now despite himself. "That would be inconvenient.. Hey, that means you are a tank." Hiro moved up a couple of steps in Tana's scale, although that in itself was equivalent to an ant trying to cross the Red Sea. Amadeus was somewhere halfway in between. All other humans were progressively lower.

Saya nodded and jumped ahead a bit.... signifying a bit more that she was the lead here... though not exactly the leader... It wouldn't be too long now... Lifting her head up slightly, she heard bits a pieces of the conversation behind her... one of their teammates was describing a bit of his clan... and that bat, was he insane or just tactless? He sounded so... cruel... like he would enjoy seeing all of that blood and gore... A feeling in her stomach confirmed it too.....
