Nex frowned and looked back behind her to Sara, all but glaring. Nex turned around and hopped off the edge of the ship throwing the torch into a barrel of dirty water that just happened to be close by. She didn't say anything though, just continued on to the front of the ship to wait for it to start moving again. She had been so excited when she had spotted the ship, wanting that feeling of excitement that she always got from stealing something when in her younger years, but now she was pissed off. she didn't think anyone understood why, let alone herself.

Aly quietly made his way back into the kitchen, attention completely taken by his new find. He stared at it goo goo eyes for long minutes, just sighed with pleasure at his good fortune. And then realized it would almost be time for dinner- that is if his pillaging team mates could take their minds off the booty long enough to rampage into his kitchen.
Ah yes1 and with the Spatula in his arsenal, no one would resist his cooking!
Why he could even dare to make a few red ribbon meals tongiht in celebration. "Fer dinner I cain tackle the duck l'orange with my special basil and rosemary baste...or perhaps the honey glazed sea bass with lemon, butter drizzle..."

Sara frowned and just stared at the battleship. She looked towards th kitchen as she knew dinner would be cooking soon. She noticed the cook talking to himself or something. Soon she noticed something shinny and walked over. "Is that a gold spatula?", she asked as if she had gone crazy.

Nex heard the word 'gold' from behind her and that was all it took to perk her back up. Her eyebrows raised and she turned around slowly to see that is was Sara that was the one who had said that glorious word. Sara talking to the cook, were they planing to steal her hidden stash of gold that she hid behind the lemon's below deck? But then that would be mutiny, well ok, only if she was captain, and she wasn't, but she still liked to think of it that way. Nex flipped her hair out of her eyes and snuck over to them, her eyes sparkling as they spotted the spatula. She knew real gold when she saw it, and that was real gold if she ever did see it.

Aly stiffened and quick;y turned around, putting himself between Sara and the precious, "Ah dinnae what yer talkin' 'bout....cain't a fella walk 'round his own kitchun without ye snooping 'round on 'im?" They shall never take ye from me...nevarrr! Nevertheless he knew the jig was up when Nex walked in as weel, eyes seeking the golden spatula.
Aly sighed and hung his head, revealing the tool from behind him, "Ya his a golden spatula-the golden spatula....tis a legend if I ever heard one and some even say whoever holds it in his hands shall be cursed."

Nex paused, she was not a fan of cursed valuables, she'd had to many of those in her life time to want anymore. "Whataa-what kind of curse?" She asked, of course, if the curse was something she could deal with she would totally steal it from the cook. He could cry all he wanted if that happened, if she got her hands on it, it was hers. Well, until she sold it, then it was someone who had less money then they did before meeting her. A lot less money.

Sara stared at the two of them. They were seriously talking about a SPATULA!! Sure it's gold, but come on. Who'd want a gold spatula.....besides cooks. She sighed and said,"I can't believe you two are going to talk about a spatula." With that she turned and walked away. She fiddled with her new necklace and sat on a bunch of rope on the deck.

Aly scowled at his departing crew member and rolled his eyes, "This aint just any golden spatula...well figures someone like you wouldn't know much about it any way." Inwardly he was crowing with glee Good, she obviously has no idea just how valuable this spatula is on the black market. Cursed goods or thather, goods that are rumored to be cursed often had the appeal of danger and mystery that added to their monetary value and seeing as this spatula was likely older than all their combined ages, that was a helluva market value.
Nevertheless He turned aside to face Nex, "I cain say fer sure but rumor has it that no one who owns this spatula owns it fer mor'rn two years an then its taken ferm 'em....mostly violently." It was, by coincidence, true because none of the people ever reported to have owned the spatula in history or word of mouth, seemed to die peacefully afterwards.

Nex shook her head, always with the dieing sorts of curses. In that case, she'd rather leave it with the cook and let him die his own violent death, living was a big thing for Nex, a big thing. "Well, at least you got me out of my bad mood Mr. Cook. I'm going to, uh, just go back to my maps now." Nex said bashfully, she was always working on her maps, and always memorizing places that needed to be mapped later. So Nex walked off to do her thing, much happier and not so grumpy after talking with Aly.

((In a nutshell, we battled a Royal Navy Battleship and won. Aly got a gold spatula, Sara stole a cross necklace, we stole supplies from the other ship and some booty.))
