Meridian followed right on after Delilah had knocked Sangula to the side slightly, using the last of his strength to get through. The trio now stood outside the dwelling as the first rays of dawn approached.

"Come back!" Sangula roared trying to make use of all her powers despite the rising sun and its rays that locked her in the cave.

Silk saw the other two leap out of the cave and turned around to face thm. "Hurry let's get out of here! I hope one of you knows the way home!" Meridian raced after him, trying his best to move as quickly as he could.

Delilah raced along with the others, not slowing until they were well away from the cave and her legs felt as rubber. She saw a small stream up ahead. "Why don't we rest here for a while?" she called to the two males. "Then we can find our way out of these woods."

"That sounds like great idea. I could use the rest, and I'm ravenous. Too bad we don't have a good magical cook among us" Luckily it was bright outside now and they could make their way out easily.

"Much of the flora in the valley bears fruit," Delilah suggested raising her eyes to the tree branches hanging overhead.

"Gosh, I guess I was just too tired to notice. "
Both Silk and Meridian rushed towards the fruit for breakfast.
"So, you never got around to telling me your story. What does the beautiful Delilah have to hide?"

"Hide?" Delilah echoed kneeling down beside the stream to drink. "I'm not hiding anything, it's only - my past was difficult..."

"It was a long time ago," Delilah said softly staring into the rippling waters. "But it's still so vivid in my mind. It was all a game back then. All I had to do was smile and I could have anything I wanted. And foolishly I reveled in this power...at least until he appeared."

“He appeared suddenly,” Delilah continued. “And I remember for the first time in my life, I was the one feeling…out of sorts. I did every time he smiled. But it was more than just his smile, it felt like he was the first one to really know me. It was so strange, there were times I could have sworn he was actually reading my mind...” Delilah smiled fondly at the memories for a moment.
“But it was not to last,” she sighed closing her eyes wanting so much to shut out the dark memories even as she continued to tell the tale. “It was late at night when they came for me, I remember I was so confused and scared. I didn’t understand what happening. Before I knew it, the elders were there asking me questions to which I could only stammer answers. They said the devil was loose in our village, corrupting minds and seeking new servants. I finally realized, it wasn’t me they were after, they were after him…” Delilah shook her head, as if trying to clear it of the memories of that awful night. “I tried to tell them they were wrong, they wouldn’t listen to me, they said I must have been under an enchantment or something. They were going to kill him! I-I didn’t know what else to do so…” she took a breath as if to steady herself. “So I lied. I lied about him. I tried desperately to think of small things, just enough to satisfy them in their thoughts that something strange was going on, but I’d hoped not enough for them act, at least not right away…”

"Ah...a love tragedy then. That is most unfortunate. I have never been able to find a true mate and I am most sympathetic to your plight. I hope eventually it works out for you, and you can heal your heart and truly be happy again. The past is the past and there isn't much that can be done now... It is a shame they treated you that way though. Some elders are so set in their thinking and ways. It is a great pity that our dragon elders are gone, but now it gives the new generation a chance to create their own culture. "

"What happened to them? The dragons I mean," Delilah asked wanting to shift the focus of the conversation away from her and her past. "I know there is only you and another dragon in the valleys, a handful more in the mountains. Do you feel alone knowing there are so few like you here?"

((*tosses Ris in real quick*)) Risika hummed softly as she gathered her herbs, brushed the dirt off and placed them in a lined basket. Unaware of the others in the area at that time or the given situation. Rather she was almost waiting for Morgan to rise himself, as annoying as the man was. She was different from most vampires, really being only half and walking in the daylight but she was ancient. Having gathered enough of the herb she was collecting she decided to see if she could find her mints which grew in caves and the like. So she got up and grabbed her basket, walking to venture in the area to find such mints.

"I used to feel quite alone, and to be honest I rather liked being special. But, it is hard to forget the tragedy of being one of the last of your kind. Since we rescued the eggs I'm certain we will thrive again some day, not to mention that I'm expecting some of my own chiildren soon. I'm not certain how many of them will be full dragons, but hope is there."
Silk watched the conversation go on between the two of them as munched on fruit.
