Using the fishing rod is for fools!
Or, you know, incompitents.

Though I guess you could also use it just for giggles...

And Midna, well yeah, she was fine, but I wouldn't say she was that hot...

Still, it was worth fighting ganondorf 4 times. it was a hell of a final encounter, it just felt so epic! truely a testiment to the warrior's spirit!

The fishing rod made me laugh...

It wasn't THAT great, Raptor...

I'd say it was on par with the final battle against Ganandorf in Windwaker.
Slightly better actually, seeing as you don't have to wait for Zelda to shoot the light arrows...

I enjoyed the final battle, swordplay to the point where it was like, you waited for an opening and it felt like a fair fight after Ganondorf was dismounted.

I wasnt too keen on the battle in Windwaker, I loved the final battle in Twilight Princess.

I'd do it again if compelled too, it was downright fun!

I only liked the Batlle with swords.

I hated the First Battle.
With that damn swine.
Gad, that was annoying.

Guh, I hate those battles where you have to wait for the enemy to show itself. Bugs the crap out of me...

Or those battles where you first have to watch an HALFHOUR long FMV.
Damn, that is what I call Overdoing it.

Personally I like waiting for the final battle, if the video has good buildup, I'll be ready to fight! if the video before the final battle sucks, well that's gonna give me more reason to finish the final battle!

I liked how it used some old functions like the sumo to toss thing, I loved that! though I took significant damage before I found out the sumo thing.

fighting Zelda because she was posessed and use the same tactics like against phantom ganon and Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time, nostalgia. ^_^

the horseback battle trying to knock ganondorf off his mount, I would have preferred the battle to be longer, like to actually clash while mounted, but it was still cool having Zelda ride shotgun(or in this case bow).

but the final stage was ******** epic! it was a testiment to the fight I longed for in a Zelda game! no spells launched at me, no interference be it ally or enemy, it was just a straight up battle of swords!

though I would have preferred something more like the dark link battle but with more improved opponent AI, I still love how the final phase of the battle turned out! now if they took the Dark Link AI from OoT, and combined it with the Ganondorf AI from TP, we'd have a truely difficult and deserving battle of any warrior!

Nintendo needs to make the final battle something that is both difficult and enjoyable, something to get the adrenaline pumping hard enough to derail a bullet train at full speed on a reinforced track!

Dark Link battle in OoT is so easy though...

Then again, I usually have the Biggoron's sword by that point mrgreen

Try the Dark Link battle on OoT with the Master Sword, and Mirror Shield or Hylian shield. I did manage to get the mirror shield before completing some dungeons, so it worked well to my favor.

I prefer the testiment to the warrior's spirit where your most basic of weapons are usable against a foe who has the same restriction, where you're almost perfectly matched in equipment, your gear being what balances you, I seek that fight in a game!

call me a virtual warrior or a hopeless romantic, but I enjoy the battle of two forces where the odds are fair.

I have tried it.
Frustrating as hell.
After all, how is it balanced when he jumps on top of your sword and kicks you?

Personally I found that something to avoid when dealing with Dark Link, but that only applies to the thrust, he jumps on your sword and slashes you, I remember the animation, he hacks once at your head.

I would have loved to have a tough battle like that of which would feel like eternity to fight, it has to be something that feels epic and pump your adrenaline in extreme levels for the fight, and bring a massive releif when you make the killing blow! I look forward to the next epic console Zelda, and I await the massive battles that would ensue!

Long fights are epic when done properly. Something we can trust from Nintendo I find.

also from the guys at soul caliber, but,as to the fairness and skill thing, i agree with raptor. you need honour in a fight. if you dont it isnt a fight. i have to say thought that all the battles described were epic. hell, they were fricken sweet. but we still need soething more than what they can give us with those suvh as the LoZ and Arcade style fighters
