Motoko paused. It seemed they had to check out the house, but it was almost certain that there were at least traps, if not Akatsuki waiting for them. She activated her Sharingan and started walking towards the house, motioning for Sanosuke to follow. She'd go first, that way if there were problems, at least he wouldn't be hurt.
Motoko's heart pounded inside her chest. She didn't want this to be a situation like Anji again..

Sanosuke reached up and pulled a black ninja mask over his mouth and nose before following your lead silently. His eyes darted here and there as he attempted to get a full read on the situation before any unwanted surprises happened.
Once inside it seemed that his theory on the house was correct once you have entered. The fireplace still slowly burns the remaining wood in the chimney and there is a pot over it that is heavily blackened underneath.
The kitchen seems deserted as well, there are a trio of plates on the small rounded table but there is no food on them. A small refridgerator also hangs open and there is a small pile of chopped vegetables on the counter.
Back in the living room, Sanosuke carefully walks over and checks the pot before saying, "They were cooking some sort of stew. All of the water has boiled out and the food has all burned into charcoal basically." He kneels down and looks over the fire, "This was made around 4 hours ago. Should we check upstairs or out back Motoko?"

Motoko walked around the house. Everything had seemingly been left in the spot that it was put in when something or someone came and hoisted them away. But everything seemed so neat and careful. Like there wasn't that much of a struggle.
"Let's..Check upstairs. I think that's the best place." Motoko turned and headed for the stairs, slowly heading up, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious.

Sanosuke nodded his head and followed you up the staircase. There is an eerie silence in the house and as you walk up the worn wooden staircase it creaks and whines loudly with each step.
At the top you see a pair of small bedrooms. The bedroom to the right has a large bed for two while the bedroom to the left only has a single bed. Everything seems to be in order here as well, though neither of the beds have been made up.

DiaryJOURNAL of Kyo Uchiha!
Boy oh Boy, decisions have been made today! Okay, so today I had to clean nasty-gross towels. Bug-boy helped. A little....Ok, maybe MORE than a little, but those bugs are creepy. Sannosuke on the other hand(whose nickname is now Brother, as he is a fellow Brother in the pursuit of technological awesomifications!) was a lot more helpful.
Basically he had this neat idea for a kind of machine that would wash the towels for us. I drew up a neat blueprint(complete with doodles!) and we did our best to find supplies to build it with. We mostly used strings, cart wheels, kunai, caltraps, and a broken tube, but I'll get to the tube later.
So, between the two tent pegs that held the tent up we made a kind of system of pulleys with caltraps as hooks. It was magnificent. All we have to do was hook the towels on the line and by turning one of the larger cart wheels the towels would move along the line and into the hot, soapy water. We kept the water boiling with a fire, which I totally made. We'd let it soak a little and pull the line onwards to the next station.
At the next station we basically clamped the bottom of the towels each between two kunai. I rigged up a pressure system using some of my compressed air canisters, so it held them pretty tightly. The kunais were all attach to wheels which we rigged together to work like gears. One of us would turn the larger wheel at the end and they would all twist the towels to wring out the water. Once they were wrung out, we unclipped them and sent them to the drying station.
...The drying was very unimpressive.I had made a fire and put the tube near, on a rotating base so that it rotated around the fire. Anji would have alot of his bugs flap all of their wings at once, and it would blow the heat into the tube, and we could funnel the heat at the towels to dry them off.
There was only one flaw...we still had to cross through the rain to the other tents to get the nasty towels.
All in all, pretty decent day.

((*Pokes Vix* Mission Objective: Washing Away the Past Journal for Kyo detailing his first day on laundry duty. While doing it he encounters another Hidden Sand shinobi, Anji and Sannosuke. Both don't seem overly excited to be stuck washing and sterilizing towels while walking between the pouring rain. If the Sand nin is talked too he has a story regarding a recent abduction of the KazeKage (See: The Rescue Gaara Arc in Shippuuden) but no real information on Akatsuki. If you talk to Sannosuke he has an overly elaborate plan to make the work load faster and easier...and probally doomed to fail....or WILL it? ))

Motoko looked around. There didn't seem to be anything there. She sighed slightly, a small droplet or two of sweat rolling down the side of her face. It wasn't easy to maintain the Sharingan for a long time. She glanced once into the big bedroom. By the size of the beds, it seemed three people lived here..Probably a Mom, Dad, and kid. She felt sorry for the kid.
"Ahh. I'm not sure what to do now. There's nothing up here, I don't think. Should we go check out the back?"

Sanosuke examined the room as well and said, "Well it seems two scenario's have happened: One the family was abducted by aliens using a teleportation beam that extracted them from whatever they were doing. The second is that the family was taken quite swiftly and professionally without leaving a single trace of a struggle or the numbers of the invaders."
He smiles from behind his mask at you, "To be honest I'm hoping it was the first scenario. Then he follows you down the stairs and towards the back door, "It is unlikely we'll find anything out here but we should check to find some clues, Motoko."
He opens the door to let you go out first.....
~Out back~ As you step outside you feel a slight morning breeze and you hear a jingle of bells from the wind.
~Akastuki theme~ A pair of Akatsuki stand out on a dry spot on the field, behind them in the water of the field are the disposed of corpses of the family from the house. In the rice field you also see a few more hands and backs floating in the water, likely from the surrounding homes. You also catch the glimmer of what may be weapons floating around the water but you don't have time for a good look as a femine voice of the Akatsuki to the right says, "Well, it seems that this strike drew too much attention didn't it Dirge?" "So it would seem, Pandora." Replies a rather deep voice of other male Akatsuki. "It looks like they are from Konoha, they must be a part of the relief team." "We weren't ordered to kill them were we?" Pandora asks. "No. But..." "Yeah, I know....My blood is still hot from slaughtering these Salamander supporters."
Sanosuke looks over at you and says, "Well. I guess we can rule out the Alien Abduction theory."

~Kyo~ Returning to the bunks that night you and Sanosuke pat each other on the back for a job well done. However, later that night you hear a series of loud crashes and people scurrying here and there and find out that the first drying contraption had pulled down the pair of tents it was attached too. ((INT-5.3[I'mprettysurethat'sright] DICE-6 [Sharingan Bonus-2])) 5+6+2=13 or 5+6=11 SUCCESS!!(?)
"Ewwwwwwwww!" Kyo cringed like a small child while the bug crawled on him. It took him a good two minutes to realize it was spelling something out.
"Wait a sec...Is that military coordinates? Well, aren't you a smart little bug!" He flicked the thing off and sat up, reaching over to his bag to pull out a map. After looking over the map he was able to pinpoint the grid that the bug was spelling out. Stuffing the map back into his bag he quickly threw his gear on, and his cloak over himself and his gear. Stepping out into the rain he wondered if he should just head off or go tell someone...
((I really hope that was actually successful.))

"I guess so." Sanosuke's joke made her smile just slightly. Motoko enjoyed the fact that Sanosuke seemed to have some sense of humor, or at the very least, a sense of personality. Those were things that could help them out in tough times. However, at this point in time she needed someone who could formulate a plan.
Her fists clinched slightly. She couldn't believe that the Akatsuki would be so cruel to murder innocent families...Her hand wandered to one of her holsters, unsnapping it, ready to draw what was inside out. "Sanosuke...Can you work a plan out?"

~Kyo~ ((The 5+6+2=13 one was right)) Arriving at the coordinates you find Anji and Misao waiting against a tree with their ninja masks pulled over their faces. "Told you he could figure it out." Misao whispers to Anji who nods his head in agreement. "Hey wonderboy we needed someone who was good with technology to come with us. We overheard a conversation earlier about a device of some kind that was in a village in this area."
~Motoko~ The female Akatsuki, Pandora looks at the male and says, "I'll kill these two quickly and meet you at the rendevious point."
"Don't be late." Dirge stated coldly, his figure flickering then disappearing...a holographic image of some sort.
There is another light jingle of the bells on her hat as she asks, "So what are two curious little runts like you doing all the way out here, I wonder?"
Sanosuke tries to keep his cool and says, "I would need to some time but..." He looks back at the rice field, "Judging from how effectively she dispatched all of these villagers.. some of who looked like they were armed, she may be out of our league, Motoko."

"A device you say?" It was obvious from Kyo's expression that he was quite curious, and quite enthused. He began to scratch his chin a little before before voicing his thoughts, "Alright, I can totally help out. But I think it's gonna explode...I'm gonna run. So, if I run then...you should probably start running."

Anji and Misao start off to the northeast and within a few minutes you find yourself out of the forest and into a wide spread of farmland in the way of rice fields. ~Byukagen~ Veins form on Misao's face as she scans the area, looking for anything that might be suspecious until she says... "I see it!" "It's 500 yards that way, let's go." She say as she starts to dash through the rice fields towards a trio of houses that draw closer with each step.
