Elijah's eyes sparkled, catching the reflection of the brilliant bracelet adoring the French youth's wrist so naturally he glanced down and found it in his site. "Oh, that looks cool," he said cheerfully, pointing to the snowflake, before noting the fact that the little designs sprinkled over the boy's coat as well. "You seemed dressed for the occasion. I think that's great!" of course he would find that fantastic, after all, he was also fully clothed in a festive outfit.
He had heard the popping back and winced slightly. "Back pain?" Elijah understood fully what that must have been like but did not question Vermillion further. It seemed his eagerness to speak manifested from his curiosity alone, because otherwise he wouldn't have approached the boy. It wasn't something he was at all used to, but he did enjoy the company of others.

A silver, compact camera clutched in one hand, Lorioth hurried back to the entrance of the Chinkami Mall, his white-blond hair billowing out in the breeze behind him. With his cheeks flushed, and his breath escaping from his mouth in puffs of condensed vapor, the doctor finally made it into the entrance of the mall. He gingerly adjusted the red headband from which his reindeer antlers protruded and patted his windblown hair into place in an effort to look as presentable as he could before finally stepping into its threshold.
Lorioth shyly scanned the vast area of the mall, and it appeared to him that the occupants seemed to have doubled in number. Looking desperately for familiar faces, his emerald eyes landed on the figures of Irame and Micajah. He breathed a deep sigh of relief, and fought his way over, trying his best to poke as little people as he could with the impractical antlers.
“Hi!” the doctor greeted them as he drew near the pair, “h-hope I’m not interrupting, but I’m back!”
He hoped that both of them would be able to accompany him to his booth, otherwise it was going to be quite a—scary experience? Was that the right word? The doctor blanched at the thought of having to meet new people, but with some support behind him he might manage…somehow…

Irame turned from Micajah as someone coming up called out a hello. She recognized the voice, and when she saw him the face and outfit, as being Lorioth. The other teacher came up smiling and clutching his camera, and the flush on his cheeks made him look even more festive and cute. She smiled and bowed her head to the man.
“Oh, you are not interrupting anything, Lorioth.” She said, moving a bit to make room for him again. “I was telling Micajah a little about Elven culture and celebrations. It is good to see that you are back though. I see that you have found your camera, congratulations; I hope that it was not too hard to locate.”

Micajah had been listening rather dumbfounded to Irame's explanation of what Elves wore and their celebrations, his mind eagerly absorbing what information he could. While he didn't know where Zach was at that exact moment and he was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to find him even if he did know, Micajah set about to listening carefully to every detail spoken by the woman. Anything and everything she said was carefully recorded in the crevices of his mind for future use in some odd situation, like talking to Zach for example, and he smiled as she apologized once more for 'saying more than the youth had wanted to hear'. Her honest apologizes were cute and heartfelt, he thought, so he couldn't help his smile.
"No, I really am interested in everything you have to say. Every bit of your history and culture is like a piece of a puzzle that humanity is trying to place together on their own, and anything I can do to aid myself and my race in their collection brings me some sort of joy. I want to be able to put together more pieces of the puzzle than I could before, connecting the dots with how our cultures share things that are so similar yet so different."
He could have gone on and on (and probably would have) if it wasn't for the re-introduction of Lorioth into their party, and the young let out an almost visable sigh of relief as the reindeer-clad teacher joined the group. As comfortable as he was becoming around Irame, he simply felt a little more at ease with the man in the antlers than the simply dressed woman. Go figure.
"It's good to see you back, Professor. I'm glad you didn't get taken away by a hunter in the process."
His attempt at humor was graveyard at best.

Lorioth gave a cheerful nod to Irame and Micajah, while somehow managing to brush several stray strands of pale blond hair out of his twinkling green eyes. Carefully stowing the camera away in a conveniently placed pocket, he closed the last bit of distance between himself and the pair.
“Ahh, the tricky little camera wasn’t in the lab at all—I seem to have left it in my dorm instead,” Lorioth said with a rueful grin on his face, “Made me climb all those stairs for nothing. Though I suppose I needed the exercise.”
The reindeer turned to the young student, slightly taken aback by his words. “Taken by a hunter?” The teacher frowned, wondering why Micajah would dream up a hunter prowling around the walls of the school…hunter…animals…reindeer…oohh… Lorioth’s cheeks instantly turned even more crimson than they had been before, a clear testament to his embarrassment at not getting the boy’s quip right off.
“Right, um…actually I had a very close run in with one near, er…the tower! But of course, Santa wouldn’t let his reindeer get killed and uhh, here I am!”
Obviously, the doctor was not adapted to responding to jokes, but he made an effort to do so anyway. He wasn’t pleased with his response, but it was a step forward into the unknown, and sooner or later, he’d learn to socialize better if he kept trying.
“Well, it’s good to be back!” the teacher blushed in an effort to take all the strain off of his flustered reply, but he meant this statement with every inch of his heart.

Dagger treked along a long, meandering path. He hunched a little more into his coat, for some reason feeling the cold. He normally didn't, and this worries him slightly. He takes a few different forks at random, moving quicker alon git to stay warm. Soon enough, he finds himself back where he entered the mall, and he stares at it. Normally his sense of direction was excellent, and he would have known he was doubling back...... he grows slightly worried, and quickly ducks inside the mall.
He rests off to one side of the door, letting warmth fow back into him. He instinctively reaches for one f his daggers, only to sigh about having surrendered them. He really would feel more comfort-...... wait, what was that?
He blinks, thinking he heard a familiar voice. He takes off his hat, letting his long silver hair fall freely down his back. He pushes his hair away from his ears, straining...... yes, it is! He dives into the crowd, ears twitching to catch another phrase.

Now why had he come out here again? Oh yes. To observe the students and guests and to also enjoy it for himself. The science Professor was in quite a jolly mood for the holiday, and at this time of the year there was something far happier about his eyes and overall presence. Though he walked with folded arms, and a serious expression, it was by no means grim and he never failed to give his well-known smile to passerbys as he watched the activities. Soon, without even realizing it, he'd come upon Irame, Lorioth and the new student Micajah.
Stepping up to join his fellows, he gave a small smile and looked at the little circle of a group, "Professor Ameanosse, Dr. Manneth," there was a visible pause as he looked at Lorioth with a very kind smile, and then he looked upon Micajah, "Micajah Ackart, if I am not mistaken?" He didn't remember if he had previously met Micajah, but better to be safe. The other was not one of the students interested much in science, so Ardanay had let him be in peace. "Forgive me if I have interrupted something, but it looked like you were having a grand old time here..." He really did seem much more cheerful and talkative during holiday seasons.
On the other hand, one of Ardanay's science-interested students, was sitting out his time upon a bench. This seemed oddly familiar, but he just couldn't find anyone. The school grounds seemed so much bigger with so many people and things going on. But it was not like Nathaniel to admit defeat, or that he was wrong for that matter, so here he sat, looking very out of place and unhappy, but overall not making a fool of himself. And to the British boy of a strict nature, that was the most important.
As he sat, the wind took up his deep golden brown hair and shuffled it around so that it fell into his eyes displeasingly. He wasn't really sure why he left the dorm to begin with. Festivities weren't really his thing because he'd never had friends before now and wasn't used to having what they called a 'good time'. It certainly didn't help his sour mood that he could not find a single one of his so-called 'friends'.
So instead, he contented himself with gazing up at the sky. He busied himself with trying to name a few visible constellations before becoming bored with it; astronomy was not his strong point. "One of them must pass by here... sooner or later..." He muttered, rather angry with himself for his lack of insight. If only he'd talked to Jaden before... the other would've surely come! But how could he have? He wasn't used to being friendly on these terms... how could he have known to do such a thing? Well he knew now... but what to do about it?

"Y-yeah, I'm not very sturdy on anything but my own two feet," he offered, almost apologetically. RuiZhi glanced over to Scyeth worriedly; he'd run INTO this guy? The Chinese boy had done that at a walking speed and had nearly landed on his rump, he couldn't imagine the force of hitting him on a skateboard!
He looked between the two, smiling a little. "Should we go to the photo booth then? Might be nice to have a little keepsake, right?" Truly RuiZhi had no idea what he was talking about. The whole season was mystifying, and he was only blathering about photos because...well...there was a booth, so it must be in some relation to Christmas, right?

Alex was having a blast. The woman was in her element, being a mother hen with all the children, yelling at one to stop pulling the other's ears, while cheering on another to hit the moles faster. The booth was running smoothly (and quite successfully, if she might say so herself), and the mall was steadily becoming more crowded. Granted, she was not a fan of crowds, but she had children to look after, and so her discomfort could wait.
"C'mon kiddo, give it a try!" she crowed delightedly to a passer-by with large eyes, waving gleefully. To say she was enjoying herself didn't quite cover the sum of it. When her green eyes fell on a familiar sour face of woe and annoyance, she grinned broadly and greeted her brother loudly over the pulse of music and voices, "Wei-cakes! Well I'll be damned! Look what the snow brought in!" She bustled around the booth and, using the sardine-like situation of the kids around the games to her advantage, manuevered to Weiyuan and gave him a sweet little hug. For once, she wasn't trying to embarrass him, just offer some warm sisterly love.
"Who's your friend?" Releasing the youth and looking over to the boy that had accompanied him, she stealthily tore off a few tickets from the lines over her shoulder, pretending to pull them out of his ear. "Enjoy the games kiddo, take something good home," Alex winked playfully.

"A tour, hmm?" Norman repeated, rubbing his clean shaven chin thoughtfully. "You've seen the games and plushie booth, but if you would be so kind," he extended his arm to her in a gentlemanly fashion, "I will glady tour you to the photo booth." He smiled warmly, not at all put out by the suggestion. Besides, it was getting quite crowded, and that many excited bodies and a long-sleeved suit did not mesh well. "If you please?"
With his other hand, he put it over his heart, giving another slight smile. "Oh please, excuse my poor manners. My name is Norman." He gave a curt bow before re-offering his arm to the woman.

Wei's eye twitched the moment he heard his name being mutilated. Cakes? Couldn't she of used a different type of food? Like...Well actually. No. Just. Food and his name? No.
The brunette leaned a little out of the hug only returning it was a slight squeeze with his hand. "Hello Alex. This is Zach." He had half the mind to tell her not to get any ideas but that would only put ideas into her head. It was best to not say too much when you don't want too much to be said. He looked at the slight trick she played and smiled a little at that. He was only here for Zach's enjoyment really.

Compared to all the festively dressed party-goers, people could easily mistake Hyuga's foreign school uniform as dress for a funeral: black trousers, a black coat with gold buttons, black loafers, and a black belt. A festive enamel pin adorned the Mandarin-style collar, green scarf, white gloves, and the jacket hung open, revealing a red and white striped shirt. They were fashion choices that violated his school's uniform policies, but he figured school rules depended on the way one interprets them. With his fingers looped through his back beltloops, he bounced down the mall making in the sights of the foreign school (well, foreign to him that is). His blue-black hair flopped in his brown eyes, but he liked it that way.
"Finally!" Hyuga sighed, relieved to finally make his way to the venue. He whistled holiday tunes as he took in the sight. The school grounds were far better than the ones at the overpriced academy he attended back home.In the distance he saw a fox of a woman, not that he was into older women, but at sixteen a boy could have a crush, couldn't he? Wandering over, he gave the woman tearing tickets a boyish grin. "Quite a turn out, huh?"

The woman rolled her green eyes at Weiyuan, but let it slide. The boy was going to be a Nasty McEmo-pants, but that didn't mean she'd let it bring her down, too. "Hey there Zach--oh, good hit!" Alex complimented the youth as she peeked over his shoulder, opposite of the mallet being used (really, she had enough sense NOT to want to wind up with a black eye, least of all from a Whack-a-Mole game!). "Enjoying yourself, Wei? To the best of your ability, that is," she added sternly. If he complained or grunted or was going to be difficult about it, she'd really embarrass him. That's what big sisters were for, right?
She reached over to brush off Weiyuan's stylish shirt when she heard a voice behind her. Glancing over her fur-clad shoulder, she grinned broadly, "Understatement of the year my friend," she quipped cheerfully, "good thing the year's almost over, huh?" Sharp eyes took in the youth's attire: formal, suit-like with a smattering of holiday cheer. "Some uniform ya got there," she indicated his scarf and shirt with a wave of her hand beneath the thick sleeves she wore, "the black works in your favor."
Another grin and she was moving back behind the booth, setting down the thick row of tickets from her shoulder in a secure box, reaching towards a few other kids to accept their offer of fresh tickets. "Play fair boys, and if I catch you swinging that at each other, I'm gonna whack you, got it?" Alex stuck her tongue out as they giggled and scampered off to play, snickering as she return her attention to the other three boys.

Irame smiled, and blushed. Micajah, young as he may be, especially in the eyes of the elves, was an amazingly poignant speaker at times. What he had said really was quite kind, as well as quite touching. It was times like these that she wondered if it really was this race that had forced her kind into their slumber, as well as how much humans had changed, while elves had stayed stagnant and the same.
She said nothing, however, and simply stood, finding Micajah’s joke morbid and slightly humors, but only confused as Lorioth spoke about Santa and reindeer getting killed. S…Santa? Oh wait! He was the one with the flying sleigh… And flying reindeer… The one that broke into homes and delivered presents to children that had been good and coal to children that had been bad. She remembered that! She distinctly remembered wondering how he would fit down a chimney if he was quite large WITHOUT the use of magic. Humans said that he could do that, yet that magic wasn’t real. Quite strange. Almost hypocritical.
She was surprised when she heard a voice that she hadn’t for a while, and found Ardanay. She smiled widely at him. She was glad that he was out and about. She had not seen him much before, and was under the impression that he did not get out and socialize much. She bowed her head to him.
“Heru Veilwood,” She said happily, “It is most good to see you. Please, do join us. I do no not see a problem with you coming into our conversation, in fact I at least would find it most enjoyable. We were just talking about reindeer, Santa, and the festival in general. I hope that at least the last one has been enjoyable?”

"Truth be told, I'd get the lecture of my life if any of my teachers saw my modifications to my uniform. You coat makes your eyes sparkle like emeralds in the snow." Try as he may a slighty flush pinked his cheeks, as he never receives compliments form older women aside from his mother, and the female upperclassmen who usually call him 'cute'. Ruffling his hair and laughing hearilty, he could feel the positive energy radiating from the woman. Holding his fingerless gloved hand to her, he grinned again, completely unaware that his hair was sticking up in the back.
"The name's Hyuga, pleasure to meet you. What heavenly name do people call you by? Which game would you reccomend to a beginner?" he continued, trying not to bound up and down like a giddy puppy. The night was exciting for him, and he intended to make it a memorable one.
