That's the job of the males. They are the nannies. See, they stay with the female they mated with until the children reach adolescence. And the boys go back with their father unless the female chooses to life mate to him. then only the boys go back to the males

Yea, Males do all of the things females normally would in other prides. They live with the mother and take care of the cubs until they reach adolescence, and then they're essentially booted back to the male section of the pride unless they're in a mated relationship with the mother.

Furthermore, females will always be the ones that do the physical matters - warriors, guards, scouts, etc and none of them will take over the work the males have because it's considered lowly. Even if one female thinks it'd be alright to take care of cubs in a 'nanny' matter, she'd essentially never do it because it would be viewed as a rather taboo act in their society.

The only thing the two genders have in common are the fact that each of them hunt. The low-class females hunt to feed their clans, the males hunt to feed themselves because females won't do it for them.

I hope that clears up any questions you have on that matter, hun, but I do suggest that you read all of the info. It'd be a little tiring to have to explain this to everyone more than once, you know? XD

As far as your particular lioness goes, she'd probably be a Gasht. The bright yellow on your girl is fine, but the pale yellow is too neutral for her to be a Rawal.

Like I said, I need to find out if that family wants to be the Chatri clan or if they want to make a different one. Likewise, I also need you and Kit to decide which of your girls will be the matron of the pride.

I think your clam would be great for them Ume ^_^! I'd prefare gurami at least to be in one of the established plans. I'v been discussing a backstroy with the guys to maybe have the three related to Liza (his colours are so close to my girl) I will hopefully eventually have him come and join too I have some plottage to throw out first tho ^__^!

@Starry: I'm not sure if you're confused or not, but Rawal is higher than Gasht. It's the highest rank besides the queen. Since green is really an unnatural color, pale greens are still considered alright. :3 It's usually only light yellows that are considered to be too natural. ^^;

@Syr: Alright, well as soon as they all join I can put them up as being in the same clan as her. Considering that females have litters from two or three different males sometimes, it's highly possible that Liza could be your girl's younger half brother or something of the like. It would explain why he's the only one with a dark mane and tail :3

@Hime: Your girl's yellow is bright enough to be considered acceptable, and with the orange, that would make her Rawal - the highest rank other than queens.
