((I have been a bit busy lately, but I'll go where ever you want me to go.))
PostPosted: Mon Dec 03, 2007 5:29 pm

((McCloud: I wouldn't worry so much - you can do whatever you want now I think, cuz I just broguth your realease papers to you so you can leave the hospital))

Yuuki smiled back at Iana, who looked about ready to leave. She quickly gestured Iana to follow her as she made her way down the hallway, down the elevator, and out the door.

"Alright." she said, turning around with her hands to her hips. "We're going to the main headquarters of LionHeart now, basically the main base for us on the good side, so you'll most likely be visiting it quite a lot. Destiny messaged me about something going on down in our labs, so we're going to go check it out and such. I'll introduce you to Destiny as well of course! Now, just follow me ok? It's not too far of a walk actually." Giving Iana one last nod and smile, she turned around and began walking down the street. Iana quickly caught up to her, and Yuuki began some idle chitchat between the two, and they seemed like ordinary women walking on the street for a brief period of time.

It was after 15 minutes or so when they arrived at a large office building close to the main street of New York. IT looked so ordinary, it was scary. But the public did not know what was secretly hidden inside of the regular-looking building.

Yuuki opened the glass door to the building and held it open for Iana to go through. The two silently entered the mildly busy foyer of the tower. Yuuki briskly walked towards the security guards desk.

"Hello Yuuki. Good day to you. Anything I can help you with?" came the voice of one of the guards on duty.

"Hello Jacob. Can I take one visitor's pass please?" the man nodded and handed her a card key. Yuuki nodded in thanks to the man, and dragged Iana over to the elevators.

"This," Yuuki said handing Iana the key "Is a 'visitor's pass' to say the least. It's pretty much code for new members. That'll be your new key, and it'll help you get into the building whenevr you need. You'll see in the elevator what I mean, but it'll be personallized for you. We have a lot of security here, so make sure to remember everything. Ok? Alright" Entering a specially elevator, it didn't take long for the doors to close.

"Enter car, hand print and eye scan for entry please" came the voice off the loudspeaker. Yuuki didn't flinch to enter her own card key, which she took out of her purse. As soon as those were in she put her hand and eyes up for scanning by the panels that showed themselves.

"Personel: Yuuki collins, Vice President, Witch. Validated. Next member?"

Yuuki nodded towards Iana to do what she did, which didn't take long.

"Personnel: New Member, unregistered, please register in human resources, card validated. Thank you. Please enter floor."

Yuuki pressed the floor number and the elevator began to go towards it's destination, opening up quickly to open into a high-tech labratory facility.

"Come on, Iana, I can see the meeting's started." Walking quickly to a conference room off to the side, she entered by swiping her card once more, with Iana beside her. She noticed Richard, a few other scientists and Destiny already sitting around the table.

"Hey guys, did I miss much? Sorry I'm late, I brought with me and new member."

Constance walked forward a few steps and stopped. "I need to show you something." She turned and started walking towards her office. She opened the door and stepped inside, walking briskly behind her mahogany desk and sitting in the soft velvet chair. After rummaging through her pocket for a second, her hand emerged with the key to the drawer. Putting the key in the lock, she gestured for Tramer to come in, but she didn't unlock the drawer quite yet. This was something she had shown no one in all her years as leader. "Take a seat..." She said quietly as she gestured to a blue silk chair directly across from her desk. All the other times she had talked to Tramer in here, he had sat in that chair, so it was no surprise, but never before had she opened this drawer for anyone but herself.
Tramer fallowed Constance into her office and quickly took a seat, Tramer preferred standing thou shortly after starting to work for Constance Tramer gave up on insisting to stand. “what is it you need to show me?” Tramer asked a slight hint of intrigue in his voice

Looking up from the papers in front of her Destiny saw Yuuki walk into the room with another woman. Smileing she stood up and held out her hand for the new comer and shook it.

"Hi, I am Destiny Savage owner and president of Lionheart Investigations. Sorry about cutting intros short but there is something that we need to see apartently."
Turning towards Richard she sighed.
"Ok buddy, what do you have to show us?"

Richard pulled a flat rectangular protector sleeve from under the table and handed it to destiny. Inside the case was a few pieces of old partchment. Opening the case Destiny placed all the parchment side by side. There were eight in all.

They were indeed diary pages from a former master vampire. Running her hand over each of the pages Destiny could feel diffierent emotions of what the vampire felt while writing. Until she got to the last page and her fingers burned when they touched the surface.

Ripping her hand back towards herself she looked down. Her left fingertips had been badly burnt. The feelings of the last page were still swirling around in her head and she lost her balance and by the time she hit the floor consciencness had left her as well.

Dorenel sat in his study, he pulled out a box with arcane symbols engraved into the surface. He opened it and withdrew a single piece of paper, it was a page to a diary of a vampire that had been a great strategist. This page had been given to Dorenel for safe keeping for that vampire had understood the balance that Dorenel seeks. But since making plans for attacks had come easily for the vampire and so this page had been written. This page held some key information that, if missing, would make the strategy it was a part of less effective. Dorenel put the page back into the box, the box sealed upon closing. Dorenel expected Destiny and Rex at any time now, as both should have received his note long ago.

((I think it is fitting to split up the missing pages and so Dorenel has one. The box cannot be opened by anyone but it's owner, Dorenel, and can't be removed from his study. His study is room 13 in an apartment building, I can't give street directions because I don't know the streets.))

Constance turned the key and pulled the journal out of the drawer. She placed it in front of her and folded her hands in her lap. Closing her eyes, she began to speak. "A journal was left behind by the former leader and has fallen into my hands. It holds many briliant strategies. However, some of the pages are missing." She opened her eyes and placed her elbows on the desk in front of her, propping her head up on her still folded hands. "I would like some help finding the missing pages. I will give you a choice weather to help or not." Leaning back in her chair and staring intently at Tramer, she waited.

Small talk encouraged Iana and she was able to lower most of her pre-set defenses against her new, what did she consider Yuuki. Once working for the group of hunters Yuuki would be her boss, but Iana was hoping that they could eventually become friends, maybe. Pondering this all, she barely noticed when they entered the large business building.

Immediately things got a tad bit confusing, but manageable. Mesmerized by the high security, Iana took note of everything she was told and stored it in her mind to be used later. The card she held made her feel some like great trust was being bestowed upon her. With this thought in play she decided then that she would have to prove her worth and in turn learn to trust them, Lionheart Inc. as a whole.

Once they entered the conference room Iana was overwhelmed by the greeting from Destiny. For some reason Iana was bubbling over with excitement. Was it because she was finally defying her father’s wishes and joining the struggle, or because she knew these people were extremely talented and gifted in their tasks? She wasn’t sure, but she admired their determination. Somehow in the sort introduction she had thrown out her name, “Iana Rubenstein.”

Watching as the parchment was laid out, she thought Destiny’s reactions from touch the objects quite unique. What was she capable of? Iana couldn’t discern her ability completely so she stopped trying. Oddly before her mind returned to the present, Destiny fell to the ground. She quickly stepped towards her and knelt down and looked up asking, “Is she alright?” Somehow with all her recent experience in the hospital she knew this wasn’t due to some illness or actual damage to Destiny’s person, but she had to be certain.

Yuuki looked over Destiny's shoulder to read the diary entry's. From what she could tell, the parchment was quite old, and held valuable information that she wasn't truly able to make out. She stepped back to the wall, Looking over to Iana for a moment.

Even from her vantage point, she could see the floods of emotions that were showing on Destiny's face. But she watched with a knowing eye. But what did catch her eye was the last sheet of parchment. A different aura from the other parchment's radiated from that specific sheet. Yuuki didn't even have time for any sort of warning before Destiny touched and fell to the floor. Yuuki was quick enough and managed to stop her fall enough with her wind magic. She ran to her side quickly, and knelt down beside Iana.

"Iana!" Yuuki turned to the witch beside her "Do you know what's wrong? I sense a really strange aura coming from that paper, and now it seems it gone partially into Destiny! Is there anything we can do? Your a nurse, so you might know something!" Yuuki looked down at the fallen body of her best friend, silently watching the up and down motion of her chest.

“I see…” Tramer replied simply, “if you could give me but a corner of a page I believe I will be able to locate what you seek” Tramer said as he stood up and began to approaching Constance.

Constance nodded and tore off a small piece of one of the pages, being careful not to rip off one of the words. She winced slightly at the sound. "Here." She handed him the paper. "Will this work?"

Upon leaving the hospital Rex resumed his daily routine. First he made his way to a cyber cafe so he could view the stock report and make sure he was finacially sound. As he was surfing the web, he recieved an e-mail from one of the changlings that worked as a researcher under destiny. The messege stated,
"Dear C. Rex,
Today at approximatly 1346 hours, we located a piece of parchment of which we believe, belonged to the former leader. It would be wise for you to come here so you may take a look at it.
Sincerly,
William."

The fact that William had covered the necessary precautions, such as abriviating Commander with C. and using vauge terms such as leader and here made him chuckle. "Well at least someone is being careful."

Iana could hear the desperation in Yuuki’s voice. “I don’t think she’s in any real danger,” she calmly stated as she lowered into a kneeling position near the two and slowly moved her hands over Destiny without actually touching her. Iana was able to since the injuries of others along with healing, but there was nothing to heal here. She was starting to assume that Lionheart Inc.’s president was some kind of psychic. She had read about humans with such abilities. Even in the absence of magic the individuals exhibited unnatural senses and limitations of the mind.

With this in mind Iana concluded, “I believe that she’s just been overloaded. If that last piece was as strongly emotional as you said then her sensitivity could have led her to pass out, that’s if she’s psychic.” Iana hoped that Yuuki would reveal that Iana’s assumptions were correct, then they would just have to wait it out, and if Destiny didn’t wake up soon then Iana would have to do some research. There maybe a spell to help. With all these thoughts swirling in her mind she suggested, “We she get her somewhere a bit more comfortable, so she isn‘t too sore when she awakens.”

A few minutes after Destiny colapsed, Rex entered the labratory via the elevator, and annouced in a loud anxious voice, "So what is this I hear about a piece of Vampiric text?"

He then paused when he saw destiny on the ground with the two witches huddled around her. "Now, now. What is this? What is wrong with Destiny?" He asked with some concern in his demanding voice.

As the parchment touched Tramer’s skin a slum chill ran down his spine, “boy!!” a voice echoed in his mind, with a slight smirk on his face Tramer looked toward Constance “he left fare more than just his strategies in these pages, didn’t he?” Tramer said instantly felling the many curses that felled the pages, but underneath all that there was something else…something much more, thou as hard as Tramer tried he could not identify it. Pushing aside the sensation of the piece of parchment Tramer started to walk away form Constance, “Rosara, one of are oldest witches should be able to tell me something…” Tramer said stopping briefly to speak and then making his way out of Constance chambers. Traveling through a series of elevators and checkpoints Tramer made his way down into the underbelly of the compound, this insulation one of many located in New York was by fare the larges, being located over a mile under the city streets it staffed over 2,000 vampires, witches, and changeling rebels, along with a select few human familiars.

Tramer walked casually through the sterile white halls quickly making his way to Rosara’s private lab… closing the door behind himself Tramer entered Rosara’s lab, thou in truth there were few that would consider it a lab, the sterile white walls were replaced with wood and fabric, there were no lights in the room but instead a series of torches and candles illuminating the room with a flickering light. Tramer approached an old woman hunched over near the center the room, her face canceled by a old tattered cloak, Tramer grabbed the cloak and tore it off reviling nothing holding it in place, at the very same moment Tramer felt a fingernail brush the back of his ear.

“what if that had been me? You could have hurt me you know…” a female voice said sounding no older than a woman in there mid twenties.

“I don’t have time for games right now” Tramer said turning around holding out the piece of parchment toward the woman.

The slouched over woman took a good long look at the parchment reaching out with her hand till she was just inches away form the paper, suddenly she stopped, standing up straining she slowly lifted the hood of her choke reviling the face of a woman no older than thirty, her eyes were a milky white but at the same time brimmed with intelligence of her many century’s of life. “so…Constance has drug you into her little game of chess has she” Rosara stated slowly talking the piece of paper form Tramer, “and you wish me to locate the missing pages of the dairy this belongs to…true?” Rosara continued.

“you seem a bit knowledgeable about this…” Tramer said a obvious hit of force and suspicion in his voice.

“surly you sensed it?” Rosara said turning away from Tramer walking over to an old wooden desk covered in herbs and roots, “this paper is cursed in more ways than one, im shore it spoke to you as well considering your ancestries‘, for a human reading more than few fazes would be deadly, a hunter, I mean a true decedent of you former people would be less effected and would be little more than temperedly stunned, but back to the subject the missing pages…” Rosara said stopping as he held her hands over he head “ROSACASHAR FOW JE GORISA!!” Rosara yelled her eyes turning a glowing red.

Suddenly Tramer’s vision blurred, as his vision returned Tramer found himself floating near the ceiling in a conference room of sorts looking around confused for a moment Tramer quickly figured out were he was seeing several familiar faces, Tramer quickly took note of Destiny laying un-conches on the floor, right in front of were she had been eight of the diary pages laid, suddenly everything spun around Tramer mixing into a blur of light, quickly slowing to a stop Tramer found himself somewhere different, a small study of sorts felled with strange magical objects, one of which that caught Tramer’s interest the most was a strange scale of sorts, or at lest what Tramer thought to be a scale he really wisent shore, then Tramer looked toward a sealed box, thou he couldn’t see the parchment something told him it was there.

“this one might actually be the hardest to acquire, a ancient mage as old as I guards it, and trust me he will not be easy to deceive” Rosara spoke pulling Tramer out of the vision, “there are more pages, but they will not show themselves to me, give me a few days and I will have there locations for you, till then you can start attempting to get the nine pages you know there locations.

“I will need the remaining pages as soon as possible, one more thing before I go…I need another batch” Tramer said a hint of irritation in his voice, knowing well she would know what he was talking about

Rosara smirked intrigued “aw, so the big bad vampire is having problems eating again?” Rosara laughed “its been over two hundred years since you last asked me for this” Rosara said walking over to a near by shelf, quickly rummaging through seemingly endless vials Rosara pulled out a vial filled with a strange green liquid, “it’s that girl…the hunter, what was her name…Destany, the leader of the hunters” Rosara said laughing, “always remember you are what your are…nothing will ever change that, now leave me be I have much work to do locating your remaining pages” Rosara said literally pushing Tramer out the door.

Placing the vile in a pocket on the inside of his long cote Tramer started to make his way out of the insulation.

Constance sighed and leaned back in her chair, looking at the celling and holding the book in her lap. She had never liked the old witch, but it was in her best intrest not to interfear. Rosara knew to much and she was not willing to have many of those things revealed at the present. There was a knock on the wooden door pain. Constance sat up and put the book quickly in the drawer, locking it again before looking up. It was a messenger from one in her council. "What is it, boy?" She asked softly. The boy walked up to her hesitantly and handed her a slip of paper. "Progress report, miss." He said. "Ah...excelent. Thank you." She smiled at the boy and watched him walk off, then she opened the paper. It only had one diget on it. 3
