Rps_Admin In combat, everybody has a day to roll their dice and state their actions for a particular round before the admin in charge of the dungeon assumes that the character does nothing for that round and the combat moves on. If you couldn't post that day that's fine, but the admin can't hold up the game for everybody else. (System Rules, How to Form a Party, Paragraph 3) As the rules state, so shall it be done. I will wait for 24 Hours after my combat post, then finish combat based on who has posted. Any Player who has not posted will be treated as acting defensively for the round. They will still be considered valid targets, but I will do my best not to kill any character who's user is not actually present. The character will not act offensively in any way, until the actual players return. If you wish to pause the game until the full party is active, I will support your decision.

((Hmm, Well If your not allowed to make Radryn act offensively then I can take control of him for this round and make him attack. I'll send Kaihatsu a pm to see whats up. Lol the real crux of the issue is if with Alphabet's heal and my combat dice I'll be able to soak up all that damage. That all depends on the dice. ><
Luc If I can get Kaihatsu to come back and post then I'll really want you to change your spell to energy burst, that way with Radryn's attack we might be able to take all these guys out in one round which might be essential to my survival as whoever's left will probably attack me again next round. Man I wish someone had taunt.><))

(Alright then I'll change my attack again.)
Luc flails around for a second, not sure what to do. His mind battling with what he wanted to do, vs. what would be best for the party. At last he makes up his mind attacks the bandit nearest him, and uses energy burst on another. (I'll take 1 mp from the party pool)
Dice: Attack Spell: Energy Burst SA:
AP:1 MP:0 HP:25/25
(Sorry about that guys. I'm not too good at this yet. Luckily we've got enough time for me to change my mind 3 times.)

Yes, I have no problem with that. Although I would prefer you do any changes before combat starts from now on... Go ahead and make your post for Radryn and I will finish this round out.

~dice~ Kail-2 Petra-2 Luc-8 Radryn-7 zypher-5 Bandit Warrior-8 BS1-6 BS2-3 Bs3-5
The Bandits attack enmass, seeking to end Kail's life. The Bandit Warrior seems distracted by Radryn's taunt however, and redirects his attack. Petra also steps in and cancels his smash with a well timed stunning blow. The remaining bandits stay on course, hitting Kail for 8, 5, and 7 damage respectively for a total of 20 damage. Kail's defense reduces this by 2 points leaving 18. The Bandit Warrior connects lightly with Radryn, barely penetrating Radryn's defense for 4 points of damage.
Kail's fireball explodes, killing the Bandit Warrior and BS1 instantly. A final flame licks out, to deal a single point of damage to BS 2. Luc picks up where he left off, with 14 points to BS2, killing him as well with his Energy Burst. Luc's furious attacks hit BS3 for 8 damage; Radryn steps in for the assist and finishes BS3 off with 9 more points of damage, ending the fight.
Petra heals Kail for 10 points. Radryn regenerates 3 points.

Kail’ign collapses as the battle ends, severely wounded. Yet, he was alive which more than he expected. It all had happened so fast he still couldn’t believe it. After a moment he catches his breath. “I think from now on I’ll stand in the back. Thank you all for your assistance. That quick thinking saved my life. They are getting cleverer now we’ll have to be more cautious. I doubt we’ve seen the end of them.”

After the battle Luc stands there panting with an evilish grin on his face. His deep hatred for bandits, and thieves in general gives him a great joy for killing them. Slowly the grin slides off his face as he becomes himself once more. Taking a moment to collect himself, he tries to act himself again. "Whew that was quick." Luc turns to Petra and says. "Well now that we're not in the middle of battle I can introduce myself. I'm Luc! Whats your name?"

As she heard Kail speak, Petra slowly looked up from her crouched, defensive position near the wagons. He's alive! she thought, as relief flooded her. She had felt her heal spell hit him, but hadn't been sure whether or not it would be enough to... to save him. She didn't want to think about what would have happened if it hadn't been.
Petra surveyed the path, turned into a battlefield by recent events, and assured herself that the three men she'd been travelling with were... well, they all seemed okay, but this warranted a closer look. She stood and began to make her way slowly to Kail, who seemed worst off, to inspect him. Another boy accosted her first, grinning. Petra was disturbed by his cheerful demeanor--didn't he realize how close Kail had come to getting killed?
"My name is Petra," she responds, quietly. "It's nice to meet you, Luc, though under these circumstances, I can't talk long..." She gestures at Kail. "He's too hurt, and he needs my... my..." Petra broke off as her gaze traveled beyond the injured Kail'igen. She'd been trying not to watch the fight, and now she realized that the bandits hadn't been just chased off, like she'd originally guessed.
Their bodies lay on the ground, motionless and charred. Petra felt stunned. These nice men--they had been protecting her--had killed them?! With a cry, Petra fell to her knees. "Oh Lord," she wept, and began to pray for the souls of the departed, as well as those of her companions... and herself.

((lol another question, Is Petra allowed to heal out of combat or can it only be carried out during combat rounds, As I originally assumed))
Kail, with some difficulty, stands up and walks over to Petra’s side it was almost as much to steady himself as comfort her. He recognized what was going on, for her reaction had been his just a few years ago. He puts his hand on her shoulder. “I know how you must be feeling right now. Not to long ago I was in the same position you are. Taking life is never easy, and I wish there was another way around it. But they left us with no choice. It was either us or them and I swore I would not let any harm come to you, or any other member of this wagon train. I know I’m asking a lot but I need you to try and cope and get through this. We have no choice now but to press on and there will be more battles ahead. We need you. With your help we might all get through this alive.”
Kail’igen wished he could offer more than kind words but it was all he had at the moment. He knew what torment she was going through and cursed himself for bringing her into this. But alas, he also knew it was for the best. If he had not intercepted her and brought her to the party he couldn’t bare to think what those bandits might have done to her.

Petra silently listened to Kail'igen speak as she crouched on the ground, her eyes turned away from the sight of death. Tears spotted her dress. "I know," she sobbed, "I know that they... if you hadn't... but I wish it didn't have to happen like this!" Her hands flew up to clutch at his hand, resting on her shivering shoulder. "More battles... more death..." Her voice was broken by sobs. "I'm not cut out for this kind of thing!" she wailed. Petra sat silent for a minute, thinking. Finally, her brown eyes, brimming with tears, turned heavenward as she sought Kail's face. "Thank you," she whispered, "for protecting us. I owe it to you to come with your party, and I... I promised to help how I could."
She shakily got to her feet, and looked at Kail'igen carefully. "You're hurt," she said bluntly, wiping at her eyes, trying to assemble herself, "but I think you'll be okay." She could feel herself becoming businesslike to deal with all this now... but she knew the bloody tumbles of clothes and charred flesh would rise again in her dreams. Petra plucked at Kail's bloodstained clothes in examining him, flicking away dust, as though trying to busy herself and keep her mind off the lumps in the road. Now she turned to look at Radryn and Luc, checking that they looked all right. "Let's continue," she said, "and I'll see what I can do to help you."

(The abilities of Heal and Regeneration only take place during combat rounds)
Master Morty observes the exchange, a single tear welling within his eye. "It does my heart good to see compassion still exists in the hearts of men and women like yourselves. A finer bunch I could not have hoped for, and that's a fact." The Merchant looks piercingly at Kail, a question forming. "Do you wish to sell that sword? I would be willing to buy it, if you care to part with it. I also am fully stocked with Adventuring Basics, if you care to make a purchase. I promise to give you the best deal possible; at least as much a deal as allowed by Djeanne." At this, he drops his gaze, a seemingly embarrassed expression on his face.

((gtg, will be back later this evening. ))
At the suggestion Kail’igen went over and picked up the sword and examined it. He then looked at his party members. The only person who seemed like he could get any benefit from it was Radryn. But then he decided it would be much more valuable to them all if it was converted to cash. “Yes, I believe we would like to sell this sword. And I understand your position, as a businessman you must make a profit to survive. But I am curious, who is this Djeanne?” Kail thought he knew the answer but he wanted to make sure he was right.
