 Scarlet made her way down a long, overly clean hallway of the giant Shinra building.
"Lets see..." she mummbled to herself as she tried to remember the way to the Turk leaders office, "Last hallway, last room on the... right? I think thats it."
She stopped in front of a large door and put her card into the slot. It blinked green twice and the door opened for her with a "ding."
Her card could let her into neerly every room in the entire building.
"Tseng?" she called into the seemingly empty room, then her eyes locked on the dark form in the desk.
"Ah! There you are," she said making her way over to him, black heeled shoes clinking on the cold tiled floor, "Miss me?"
She pouted her lips in what she ment to be a flirtatious gesture and bent over so that she was eye level with him.

Elena swept her hair out of her face and let out a sigh of relief.
"Orders are conveyed...now I just need to tell Tseng where I, Reno and Rude will be," Elena told herself and spun on her heel, running back to Tseng's office. I'm sure Tseng will be pleased...the units cover every sector in Midgar. Elena skid to a stop just right out of Tseng's door. What's this? I hear voices....
"Ah! There you are," a familiar voice cooed. Elena could hear heeled shoes clinking on the floor.
"Miss me?" the voice said again. Realization dawned on Elena and immediately the blood went out of her face. Scarlet?! What is she doing here?!

Tseng looked up from the letter he was writing with annoyance as Scarlet stepped in.
"Scarlet..." he hissed under his breath. He had always displiked this women. Everything about her annoyed him; the way she dressed, the way she laughed, the way she spoke...
She was always the exact opposite of what he looked for in a women.
"Ah! There you are. Miss me?"Tseng winced as she spoke, immediately feeling sick. She was speaking to him as if they were lovers.
"Good day Scarlet," he said trying his hardest to be polite. A forced smile appeared on his lips. it would be rude to ignore her question as well.
"No, I can't excatly say thast I have 'missed' you."
He lowered his head to hide the true smile that was inching it's way across his face.
"What do you want?" he asked irritably, "Make it quick. I'm a very busy man."

Scarlet smirked and stood up straight.
"Aww, darling, why are you being so mean to me all of a sudden?" she said in a teasing voice, "Don't you like me any more?"
She shook her blond hair away from her face and placed one hand on her hip. She cleared her throat and rolled her eyes imapteintly. She could flirt with him later, right now she had a job to do.
"I have some information about you little 'problem'," she said suddenly acting professional, "It seems that your good friend Zack Fair and some other Blond kid were spotted only a few miles away from Midgar, riding on the back of a truck. It would seem that their on their way here."

tseng rolled his eyes at her first comment. The truthful answer was an obvious, 'No. I have never liked you. Go away.' but he was far too worried about his job for that. Insted he decided not to answer this particular question."I have some information about you little 'problem'. It seems that your good friend Zack Fair and some other Blond kid were spotted only a few miles away from Midgar, riding on the back of a truck. It would seem that their on their way here."Tseng rolled his eyes and waved a hand to stop her.
"I already know this," he mummbled, "I have sent out men to all corners of Midgar in search of them. If Hojo want's him precious experiments back, we will get them."
He glanced back up at her, looking very annoyed.
"Is that all you wanted to tell me?" he asked, his voice just oozing with annoyance, "or is there something else?"
He prayed that there really wasn't anything else.

Scarlet narrowed her eyes and snorted with supressed laughter. She had one more thing that she was suposed to tell him as well, although she didn't exactly have to at the moment.
She smirked and locked her cold blue eyes on him. She knew just how to make him really mad right now, and she loved it.
'Revenge, sweet Tseng,' she thaught as a icy grin appeared on her thin face, 'you piss me off, I piss you off.'
"Yes, infact, I do have something else to say," she said taking a seat on the edge of his desk, "Speaking of Hojo, since you brought him up, he want's to to hurry and bring him Miss Gainsbrough, or else he will send somebody else to do it."
She already had a hunch as to the Turk leaders feeling for the girl. Neerly everybody at Shinra knew it, and that was possibly why he was always sent to do it. It was punishment, and Scarlet just loved to see him squirm every time he left to complete the unlikeable task. She loved it even more every time he came back empty handed, claiming that the girl just "slipped from his fingers." And when the president would yell at him for it, she was almost always there, laughing as she listened.
"I would do what he says, sweet heart," she said in a syrupy sweet voice, just dripping with sarcasm, "I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you, my Darling. It's only one girl. What does she mean to you anyways? isn't your job more important?"

Tseng listened to Scarlet in silence. He made an obvious effort to drown her out, but no matter what he tried, her words still forced it's way into his ears and stuck to his brain. He clenched his fists and stared down at the papers on his desk. He wanted to scream at her for even mentioning Aerith.
He slowly brought his gaze to Scarlet, listening to her advice. No matter how much he hated to admit it, Scarlet was right. His job depended on it. He had to bring the girl in. "It's only one girl. What does she mean to you anyways? isn't your job more important?"Tseng could feel himself tremble with rage as she said it.
"Scarlet!" he hissed dangerously, pounding his fist on the top of his desk, "That has nothing to do with you!"
He brounght his cold gaze back to the paper he was working on before she so rudely entered. It was a letter to Aerith. He had written many letters to her yet sent none of them. There was a large pile of them in a locked drawer of his desk. He crumpled the white paper and pushed it off to the side.
"You may tell Hojo that I am currently working on other things but as soon as i get time, I will bring Miss Gainsbrough."
He pointed to the door with a trembling finger trying his very hardest to controll his temper.
"Please leave my office. I have alot of work to do."

Elena brought her fingers to her lips, speechless. Aeris Gainsborough....so that's the woman......who makes him smile....
"Scarlet!" Elena heard Tseng hiss dangerously. "That has nothing to do with you!" Elena stepped back from the door and gulped down a large portion of her saliva in fear. I shouldn't be listening to this....they'd reprimand me if they found out that I was around....but Tseng.... Elena clicked her tongue in annoyance and fled from the door to hide behind a wall. I don't know why Scarlet wants to twist the knife in Tseng's wound....or what Tseng's relationship with Aeris Gainsborough is....and I probably shouldn't know.....but I can't leave him like this....

Scarlet jumped off of the desk when Tseng punded his fist on the desk.
"Tisk tisk," she said waving a finger at him, "it seems I hit a nerve. Such a temper you have."
She laughed the same annoying laugh that seemed to make everybody mad.
"And everybody seems to think of you as so calm and cool. Well I'll leave then if you want me to, though I doubt Hojo will be very happy to hear your response. See you soon, dear."
And with that she blew him a kiss and left the office.

Elena hissed under her breath as Scarlet's high heeled shoes clicked down the hall towards the elevator. She could imagine that woman with a broad smirk on her hideous face. That woman....I despise her.... Quietly, Elena moved from the wall and walked towards Tseng's office and was ready to enter without a second thought until she realized how troubled Tseng must be. I...can't just barge in like this...especially after Scarlet shook him... Elena leaned on the wall by the door, breathing steadily, listening to the quiet office, waiting. He would scold me if he saw me...but....I want to stay here....to help him anyway I can.... She sighed and closed her eyes, imagining herself by Tseng's side, touching his shoulder in comfort.

Tseng listened to Scarlets footsteps fade away with satisfaction. It took her long enough to leave, but he knew she would be back, and he dreaded it. He reached across the desk to the paper he had recently crumpled up.
"Why do I bother?" he asked himself with a sigh, then smoothed the paper out as best he could, and re-read it.
He picked up the pen and went to continue writing. He kept glancing up at that door as if expecting somebody or something to enter. he got that way a lot. Mabie it was just paranoia? Still, it didn't hurt to check.
"Come in, who ever you are," he said with a tired sounding voice, "it's rude to wait outside doorways."

Elena involuntarily let out a squeak of surprise. He knows! Crap....but then again.....he is the leader.....the best Turk around.... Elena reluctantly removed herself from the wall and entered the office with a downcast expression. She could not think of any good excuse. She carefully lifted her eyes towards Tseng.
"......I'm sorry..." she whispered. It was the only thing she could say.

Tseng was not mad at her in the least bit, on the contrary he was happy to see her. Anybody other than Scarlet would make him feel better,
Tseng waved her apology aside.
"Don't apologise, Elana. You have done nothing wrong," he said softly, "Here, take a seat, I'm sure you had something to tell me that simply could not wait."
He stuffe the letter, now finished into the bottom drawer of his desk and motioned for her to pull up a chair from along the wall up to his desk and take a seat.

Elena blinked rapidly and cocked her head in a comical manner. He...isn't mad at me? So...does that mean he doesn't suspect me overhearing the conversation? Elena quickly gulped down her fear and took a seat across from Tseng.
"Umm, ahem...I have dispatched all the units sir! However, I can not find Reno and Rude anywhere, but I left a message asking them to join us to capture the infidels," Elena explained.

Tseng floded his hands on his desk in a business-like manner and gazed at her.
"Good work Elana," he said softly, "I shall deal with Reno and Rude later. Knowing Reno, he's probly too drunk to read any message you left him."
A playful smile crept across his face.
"And of course, where ever Reno is, you know Rude can't be too far away. They will show up eventually, I'm sure."
Tseng sighed and looked up at the clock on the opposite wall.
"Well, i'm glad that at least one of my men-" he looked at her for a second and then corrected himself, "or women- is available and working hard. And your pretty new to this too. I'm... impressed, Elana."
