Both faeries jumped at the sound. Rowan could see it was Aria. He hit the ground and ran to her with Willow right behind. They both stared at the ash. "What happened?" She gasped.
Francis fell through the trees and landed hard on the ground. What the hell was up with him getting injured today. The idea flashed across his mind that he might be dead in the real world. If that was true, then this was the afterlife. Wonderful. He looked around, expecting his odd companions to jump into the scene at any moment.
But no one came after three minutes. Francis slowly stood up. He didn't feel any pain. Walking slowly, he saw two people ahead, an old man and a girl, maybe a year younger than him.

Aria followed a particularly large flake of ash with her eyes. "Hell if I know," she said softly. Suddenly her eyes snapped to Rowan. "Alright," she said, her voice matter of fact, "I'm still extremely weirded out by the fact that you exist, but at least you're not trying to kill me. Right now, " she amended, her eyes flicking to Willow, then back again. "So there are people who come to this world when they fall asleep, and I'm one of them. For some reason, you were following us around until you decided we weren't worth the trouble. D'ya want to tell me why that is? What's so important about us?"

Monollius watched with the patience instilled in him over the last 92 years of his life as a newcomer slowly approached. When the girl was perhaps halfway up the hill, Siri returned. His gaze turned to her, his face lighting up. "Ah, then it's settled." He rose slowly from his seat, and yanked his staff from the ground. The throne disintegrated as had the first, and left behind a very small pile of dirt. "Then you shall be joining me on my quest. And I am sure you would very well wish to know what that is. First, though, we shall address this woman here, and find out whether or not she would like to accompany us.

Kat saw the throne disappear as he yanked up his staff, and decided he would probably be a magician. she saw his robes and felt distinctly under-dressed, being garbed in tight-fitting skins, with some leaves sewn on for camouflage. she was wearing a vest that was fixed in the front with a brooch, and short trousers, ripped at the bottom. as she stopped about 6 feet in front of him, she gave a bow and said. "greetings, my name is Kat" straightening up, she asked. "do you know the name of this plain?"

Francis stared at the pile of dirt where the throne had been. This man was some kind of wizard or something. His mind flickered back to the blue fire that had scared the faery boy. Was he a magician here too?
Rowan couldn't figure out where to start explaining. Willow jumped right in. "All creatures," She began, "Originate from the earth. This is true in our world and is probably the same in yours. Humans are among the worst of earth's beings. They tears down trees, pollute water, kill other beings sport, and don't give back to their Mother, the earth." She dug her toes into the soil. "Every now and again it becomes necessary for our Mother to purge of her wicked children."
"That snake you saw." Rowan took over in a softer tone, "That is part of the spirit of earth, sent to void the humans. There is a Sage high in a mountains who summons these spirits."
"But they don't follow his direction." Willow cut in, "And go about indiscriminately taking over the creatures of the forest, who have done nothing wrong."
"As to why you are so important," Rowan changed the subject before Willow could start a tirade about the corruption of the human world, "You and all others who enter this world are the only ones not susceptible to be wiped from existence by the spirits. And the only ones who can redirect the spirits and help our Mother earth."

Aria stared at them for a second, then smiled. "You want us to save the world. How overused is that? Okay, first off, I feel like I'm obligated to point out the fact that I'm human. Or," she added, absently running a finger over a soft white feather, "I am in my world. If the others are form my world, they're human too. That's pretty much all we have, there.
"Second, you're faeries! Even if you can't do anything, your Queen should be able to." she hesitated, then unable to stomp her curiosity down, she asked, "And she would be Tatiania, right?"

Siri watched as Monllius's throne fell to the ground, eyes wide. "How do you do that? Because that's pretty awesome. And, yeah, knowing what the quest is would probably help a bit."
When the other girl walked up to them and bowed, Siri frowned. Everyone here seemed so...formal. The way Monollius spoke, this girl's fromalities... It made her feel self-concious, like she were some peasant and they were royalty. She didn't like the feeling. To compensate, the crossed her arms defiantly and glared at the girl, Kat. "Your hair is green."
Looking behind Kat, Siri noticed another newcomer, this time a boy. They were just popping up al over the place now, it seemed. Well, at least this one looked normal.
Still, all these people showing up was making her uneasy. If her dream was some sort of spiritual quest or whatever, there had to be some kind of challenge. Who was to say it wouldn't come from one of these people? For whatever reason, perhaps because he was the first person she saw here, Siri trusted Monollius. But she was wary of the other two.
((Sorry about being mean to Kat, but Siri feels awkward and out of place, and that's making her ver defensive. And rude. >_<))

"Overused?" Willow asked, cocking an eyebrow, "It's an ancient Gnomish prophecy."
"Besides," Rowan interjected, "You aren't human here, neither is anyone who comes into this world. If you die here, I assume you wake up in your world." He sighed, "Our Lady is powerless against the Mother earth. She is of this world. But you, you are not. You and the others are not bound by Her laws."
Crud, Francis thought when he'd been found out. He stepped forward with his hands up in defense. "I'm not armed, I swear."

Aria nodded slowly. "Alright, I suppose that makes sense. But," she frowned, running a hand through her hair, "What do you want us to do? Redirect the spirits how, exactly? Wouldn't the problem be solved if we just got rid of the Sage guy," She trailed off for a second, gesturing vaguely. "Person? He's the one summoning all this stuff in the first place, right?"

"They don't obey him." Rowan explained calmly. "The act upon their own free will now." He sighed. "As to how to redirect them, we don't know. That's kind of your job." He could feel he was asking for trouble by saying this. "We're only here to guide you to the right place."

Doragon woke up. He created a teleportation portal that was random, sending him anywhere within his abilities range. He appeared on a grassy hill. He lay down and leaned back. He didn't like the quiet of his home. He preffered the chirping birds and buzzing cicadas out in the world and he once again fel asleep.

Aria stared at Rowan, her expression starting at incredulous and quickly morphing into outrage. "You want some human kids to redirect a bunch of spirits, and you don't even know how we're supposed to do it? What are we supposed to do, just run around until we figure it out? Hope that we'll just wake up if we get killed saving a world that isn't ours?" She glared helplessly at them for a second, then snapped, "But we don't have any choice, do we?"

The Arch-Sage laughed quietly to himself; Lady Siri was proving herself to be quite the humorous girl. It started with her awe concerning his abilities as a mage, and continued with her defensive attitude toward Lady Kat. It seemed, that she would not cease to stimulate his curiosity for quite some time. "Lady Kat, I am Arch-Sage Dominus Ollivander Omnicus Monollius, and this," he lay a gnarled hand on Siri's left shoulder. "Is Lady Siri. This plain happens to be Aer'Gannek: Field of the Sky." Then he glanced beyond Kat, see that yet another newcomer was fast approaching, but peacefully, displaying that he was indeed unarmed.
"Make your birthright known," Monollius called back, "And prove your peace. A fair man I am, but swift to cast down the hammer should you be of false pretenses!" If nothing more, the Arch-Sage was toying with the young man, to see if he truly inspired fear, or if he was taken as nothing more than an elderly man.
"If you must know, Lady Siri," he said quietly, so the other two could not hear, "The secret of my technique lies in over seventy years of practice with Anima magick."

Kat nodded in acknowledgment of Monollius, and turned to siri. "congratulations" she said coldly "you noticed. five points to hufflepuff. all that stuff." she rolled her eyes. "and for your information, maybe the fact my hair is green happens to be because im a dryad. with an elvish father" she examined her nails. "besides" she said, looking at siri's hair "yours happens to be black with blue tips." she stopped examining her nails and turned to face siri "so next time, think before you make another racist comment like that. okay? the next person might not be so forgiving for you pointing out their differences." she saw the young man coming to join them, and turned to look at him, recognizing him from the lake, where the chick with wings had gotten herself pulled out by a giant red turtle.
