Raistlins dragon, lept off the mages palm, and devoured the other dragon. Raistlin couldnt help but smirk. "yes......close" he said with HEAVY sarcasm, altho he'd already gathered the female wasnt the quickest one. She reminded him a bit of her brother, or possibly Tas.

Valis let out a delighted giggle then a gasp "OH! Lets create armies of them and we can have a mini battle!" she giggled the more quite pleased with her plan "Wouldn't that be fun!?" she practically danced in place with excitement
Davey smiled amused even if Raist did agree her magic had no stance against his, she was far too out of practice, she had admitted it to him herself once
Valis leaned closer to Raist till her shoulder rested against his "Pleeeeeaaaassseeee" she was trying very hard to be cute so he would agree ... course her idea of cute was to sound like a child, which she did rather well

Riastlin shook off Valis, who was leaning against his side. He growled "I.Dont.Play" he said "I would sooner blow myself up, then do anything with you" he said with another growl

"Well that wouldn't do any good silly! Then you couldn't have any fun anymore! Besides" she gives a girlish giggle acting almost shy "Ask Davey, I'm impossible to get rid of!" She giggles again, "Everyone needs a friend and I plan on being a friend to everyone!" She beamed up at Raist looking quite pleased with herself "So you might as well get use to me!" she gave a big broad grin
Davey solomly nodded at Raist and rolled his eyes to say 'yes sadly it is true you can't get rid of her'

Raistlin snorted and rolled his eyes, but it was hidden beneath the cloak. "You will never be my friend" he said casually, with a shrug. "I dont need anyone" he said with a low growl. It was only paritally true, she would never be Raist's friend, but he did need someone, altho he LOATHED to admit it.

Thats just silly to say you don't need anyone" She smiled still though less enthusiastically he was going to be a tough one to crack, she was sure he had a soft center some where under all those robes she just had to find where "How did you learn all that magic if you weren't taught? surely you needed someone to teach you that" she winked at him, she got him there

Raistlin felt an eye twitch "Are you incapable of listening?" he asked with a hiss "I did not need them. They needed me" he held his staff close to him. Hourglass eyes glaring at Valis "Without them, i would still be where i am now, i was destined for this" he said with a carefree shrug

"I see" Valis smiled at him though less cheerfully... he reminded her a bit of he who must not be named... she wasn't in school when he was alive but had heard plenty of stories... but maybe if Raist has a proper friend he wouldn't turn out so bad? "Is anyone really destined for anything? If so does that mean that we don't have a choice in our life? That despite any choices we make we will inevitably end up at a destined place and time? If so then is there a purpose to life? A higher plan and we are all just chess pieces in a game.... but then who is the master? Who moves us, controls all our lives?"
Wow she could be a bit deep despite how dense she was

Now how many times had this been brought up in his short life? How many times had Tanis pondered the theory of destiny? "I believe we've all got a destination designed for us. Our occupations are written in who we are. Our passions and strength's are encoded in our soul's. How we get to our Destination, that is entirely up to the choices we make." he gave a light shrug of his shoulders.
He too had heard of he who must not be named, he'd heard the stories from Severus, and read the written accounts in the historical documents. He found Voldemort to be sloppy and dis-assosicated from his work. "I was destined to be here." Another non chalant shrug

Well this had gotten him to be civil at least how interesting "So our destinies are determined by our choices? How then are they destinies? When destinies by definition is an out come that can not be avoided? How can they be determined by choice?" despite what many think of her she is no fool, merely stubborn in her belief of people and the goodness inside them

Raistlin would have facepalmed, if he were the type. "When your capable of...." his words broke off, a fit of coughing overtook him. He lurched forword, frail shoulders shaking with the wrath of the coughs. He fished for a hankerchief, and his flask of tea.
This fit lasted longer then the others, for he hadnt had one in so long. This new form had fixed how often the fits occured, but had not gotten rid of them completely. He found his flask, and with a shaky hand, took long, soothing sips of the blessed elixer.
He took deep breaths, once he was able, easing the pain in his chest.

Valis attempted to finish his sentence "Your still a person capable of choosing poorly and how many people have said they would be the greatest the most powerful, that is was their destiny and the masses stood against them and the masses won? It is unwise to alienate yourself, allies can always come in handy, taking on the world alone is never successful" Valis watched him observing his coughing fit, "Already you have a weakness, one that is not so easily hidden, you might want to rethink such an attitude"

When Raistlin recovered, his eyes flashed, golden hourglass's glowing from the shadowy depth's of his hood. Slender fingers moved deftly, faster then his 'weakness' could ever portray, and they found Valis' throat. He didnt strangle, altho the temptation was strong, it was a warning. "Never, presume to know what i am going to say" he growled, a deep growl that seemed foreign in the frame. He thought about making a comment about what he'd been through, by himself, but that would only keep her around longer.
