"If you'd have shut up for five minutes," Makani snapped at Azareth, "I'd have given you the specifics of my injury. Now why don't you run along, as you were told to do by someone clearly your superior, and leave me be? By the looks of things, I've already got help." And from that point on, Azareth was off his radar, being replaced by Simona, who had been kind enough to get him the wine he'd so vehemently requested. "Good to see that some of the females around here have some sense," he remarked, offering her the first smile as he took the goblet, drinking greedily.

Iris was torn between snickering at the male's reprimand, and sneering at his arrogant and uncouth manner. "Perhaps now that you've had your wine, you'll let us know just what your injuries are? We'll be bringing Nariss tea for you in a moment, and it will dull the pain. Unfortunately," or fortunately, the harpy might have thought, "it will also put you to sleep, so it's best if you tell us now."

"Naga bites," the bright harpy remarked, eyeing the oddly colored female before him. "One on each wing. They tried to keep me from escaping."

The Matriarch merely watched the young male interact, taking stock of his looks and his undoubtably poor attitude. It was going to be an interesting experience, having this one around. Somehow she thought it unlikely that his attitude was caused by the wounds. Still, he needed room, and if she let them, her colony would smother him to . "Ladies!" she announced, voice authorative, "give our new arrival his space. We're going to need room to get him out of here. In fact.." Glancing around once again, she turned to whomever was convenient; namely Kalpana, tilting her head upwards towards the s. "Kalpana! Go after Mirin and tell the healers to bring a stretcher. We're going to need one, since I assume our guest is going to have some trouble walking."

Azareth resists the urge to snarl, frustrated by this male. She had been first to respond, she'd been trying to find out what was wrong, and instead he'd been nasty and rude. She did NOT like being ordered around by anyone, it was one of the reasons she stayed away from the others a lot. She'd gone to a great deal of effort to control her urges to avoid the others to be here, and now it was all going to heck.
She stood where she was, her eyes glittering in anger as she waited, trying to control her own temper.

Kalpana landed with the Healers and wlaked foreward so she was in the crowd eside the Matriarch's daughter and kinda looking at the male, "I have told the healers to bring a stretcher Ma'am." She spoke directly to the Matriarch. her voice soft as she turned to look at the male before her again. Blinking a few times she realized that it wasn't all that interesting to stare at the male, yet pretty much everyone around ehr was doing it. Too bored to keep her mind staring at him she stood there facing him but looking towards the door of which the healers were coming in, noticably more interested in anything else other then the big comotion.

"No," the green male remarked, eyeing Koda from where he huddled grouchily. "It wouldn't be, and even if it was, I suspect you'd be asking anyway. It's Makani." Unfavorable or not, his attitude wasn't going to vanish, and he grouched even as he was assisted onto the stretcher, letting the healers touch him only when nessecary. In addittion to being a grouch, the male also appeared to be fiercely independant, not eager for help or pity.

"Welcome to the Mountain then Makani," Koda's mother greeted amusedly. "I am the Matriarch of this flock. My name is Kendra, and so long as you are here, it is my rules you will abide by. This," she gestured to Koda, "is my daughter, Koda. She and Iris," she waved a taloned hand towards the other brightly colored harpy, "will be in charge of getting you settled in once the healers are done with you." Why Iris and Koda were always paired together was a mystery, but the Matriarch seemed to enjoy the two of them. And besides, if she'd placed him in Azareth's care, it was likely that feathers would be flying before the end of the day.

"A pleasure Makani," Iris remarked dryly, eyeing the male with some curiousity. She did hope his attitude would vanish, or at least lessen in the coming days, as his injury healed. He was just the right age, and his feathers were lovely. If she had any hope of chicks, it was right here before her. And she was sure she wasn't the only one with that thought in her head.

Once the healers had loaded the male onto the stretcher, as Kalpana had informed them they were supposed to, Kendra turned to the younger harpy with her thanks. The nariss root would soon take it's effect, and Makani would be fast asleep. Purposefully or no, he had provided them with yet another reason to celebrate. And she fully intended for the party to continue.

Azareth sighs and does focused breathing. She couldn't let her temper get the better of her again. It didn't help, it made things worse. She did hope that irritable male would be all right, even if he was a grouchy... stop it! She told herself. Not along that lines, no!
She waited, face impassive, as he was carried out, glancing at the eggs again.

Einin stood to one side, wings wrapped around herself, eyes wide. It had all gone so fast - one of her names had been chosen! And then the unexpected crash - a male, and such a bright one - and she'd heard something about naga bites, which chilled her to the bone - she was tempted to dash after and see if she could be of any help, and find anything else out!

And now there was a commotion over the eggs - what was going on there?
