"Well," began James. "After a battle like that, I need something to relax." He stood, then went to the door, placing his hands on his hips and looking both ways, pondering on what to do. There were no games. There was no training equipment. There was a library, though. He turned back to Alwyn. "Do you like books?"
Luque chuckled as he walked towards The Hotel. Not many people asked him this question. "All sorts of ways. I can see on different wavelengths than normal humans, but I can't see on normal wavelengths of humans. Do you understand?"

Isaac nodded, "Yes. You can't see the normal spectrum but you can see infrared and UV rays and stuff. Right?" "It must be his charm thingy. Like my anklet."

Luque nodded. "Right. You're pretty smart, kid." He gave the guy a thumbs up and pushed past him towards The Hotel. He turned and walked backwards, facing the guy. "By the way, what's your name?"

Luque turned and pushed through the door. "My name's Luque," he said, closing the door behind him, not waiting for Isaac to follow.

Isaac caught the door just as it was about to close on him. "You in a rush or something?" "Hey. That's not nice. Maybe he's not as nice as he seems... Closing the door on me."

Luque smiled, though he was turned so Isaac couldn't see him. "I told you," he said, airily waving his hand. "I'm so hungry I could eat a horse!"

Isaac smirked, "I thought it was a dog. Did your hunger grow so much from there to here?" "What a weird old man.... Moves like a spry young fighter and has the personality of a cocky one at that. Almost creepy if you really think about it..."

"Horse, dog, same thing. I've never been able to tell the difference between the two anyway. And howlies are pretty much a mix of the two plus a bit of tiger." Luque entered the tavern area and looked around for an empty seat. "Where to sit, where to sit, where to sit?" he mumbled to himself.

Shooting off one arrow after another Amaya let all of her anger at the situation go with it. There was no point in brooding over something she could not change. She would find a way out, no matter what. Shooting off 12 sets (sets of 5) Amaya was pleased with her shooting. It was slightly better than usual but she wouldn't complain. Going to her room quickly she put her bow and arrows within her case. Feeling hot she walked into the bath room to splash her face with cold water. Looking in the mirror the woman who looked back was saddened, tired, and hungry, and at least one of those she could fix. Running her hand through her silvery hair she headed back down to get some food. Taking the stairs over the elevator she flopped into the first empty seat she reached and ordered a cold Pepsi and some water.

Alwyn felt herself go into a cold sweat as she lost consiousness she was yired. how odd she had never been this tired before. is it possible that she had used alot of energy or something or pehaps it was just the shock of the fall, and in her head she could see books...

Isaac shook his head, "You can't tell the difference between dog and horse, but you know what a tiger looks like. You're really weird." Isaac wasn't really hungry but he would still give the old man company if he wanted it.

Luque chuckled, grabbing an empty seat and plopping down into it. "It's been so long since I've seen either a dog or a horse; howlies are the only reminder I have to either of them. However, there's a young girl in the corner over there who is an artist. Her rendition of a tiger is wonderful, and damn near close to what I remember. But she's terrible at drawing anything but cats, so horses and dogs always end up looking more like howlies." He waved his fingers and the waitress bustled over, smiling at her utmost, the pad clutched to her chest. "Yes," Luque said. "I'll have...nevermind. Surprise me. But make it a large helping of it." She smiled and nodded, then turned to Isaac.
James quickly dropped to his knees and caught the girl, barely five inches from the ground. He once again lifted her into his arms and set her back onto a chair. He placed the back of his hand against her forehead. It was cold and clammy, and she was sweating up a storm. He motioned the nurse over and she checked her out. With a nod, the nurse placed both hands on Alwyn's forehead. Immediately, she looked better. The color returned to her face and the sweat droplets were gone. "You're amazing," James said to the nurse. She shrugged. "Meh. To each his own." She turned back and went to her desk. Alwyn was still asleep, so James picked her up and brought her towards the library.
Attia smiled and led Nemoralis downstairs to the tavern. Seeing Luque, she moved to the other corner of the room, closer to a Chinese girl frantically scribbling in her sketchbook. Attia smiled and waved at her as they passed, but the girl was far too engrossed in her artwork to notice Attia or the newcomer. Attia gave up and sat down, motioning for Nemoralis to do the same. "So," began Attia, trailing off. "Welcome to The Wasteland."
