Youko-chan Eric_the_Phantom Youko-chan ...Utakan... D: I love you. You... you... that post... Love. D: <3 ditto, but now there's nothing left to debate about...becuase she summed it all up confused neutral Yep.
...we can still talk about... uhh... o_o ...
...can you explain this whole... why-does-everyone-look-like-everyone-else thing in the Kay book? gonk I don't understand... are Christine and Erik related then? Does that make Christine's child possibly not Erik's...? What's with the coincidence with the kid's name? Am I thinking too deeply? e.e;Cause Kay was short on ideas and instead of having Erik merely fall in love with Christine for her voice, she thought she should look like his mother and inact the whole freudian thing.

Does that make Christine's child possibly not Erik's...? What's with the coincidence with the kid's name? Am I thinking too deeply? e.e;I actually never understood why Kay went and did something as crackpot-theoried as making Christine similar in appearance to Erik's mother. I would think that if such had been the case that he would've hated Christine much less than lust for her. That's right. I said lust. I also think that Kay had a thing for the name "Charles". She used it for Erik's Father's name, she got to use it with Charles Garnier (who, despite what she made Erik say in opinion of the man's appearance, was not that bad looking), and then she has the illegitimate child named Charles. While it's a "cute" coincidence, it shows repetative-ness and lack of creativity where naming is concerned. And no, Christine and Erik aren't magically related. I think what Kay was trying to do is show the pain his mother set upon him, then with Christine who amazingly just happens to look like her, sets more pain upon him by breaking his heart. ..Maybe I'm the one who's thinking too deeply. >>

And be like.. "Yo. Fo shizzle. Wtf's with you and the name 'Charles'? And... your... freaky-a** appearance thingies? DDDD: ...YOU CONFUSE ME, WOMAN! *rant rant rant rant*"
...I smell another restraining order coming my way. gonk

Utakan And no, Christine and Erik aren't magically related. I think what Kay was trying to do is show the pain his mother set upon him, then with Christine who amazingly just happens to look like her, sets more pain upon him by breaking his heart. And then Christine had an obsession with his mothers picture, she was like stroking it or something ...and then that's all that was ever addressed to that point. o.< but if you read into it with a psychological standpoint I really can see where Erik would feel attracted to Christine (becuase male children usually go through a bonding period with their mothers at a young age where it's almost like their in love with them, but eventually the grow out of it and if Erik never expierienced that love has a child ever, it may be his psycholigical output to fall in love/lust with a woman that resembled his mother's beauty) but even then, I still don't agree with it, it's just rather odd.

I can just imagine a clip from the actual book...
"Erik turned to the Persian mischeviously. "Dear Daroga, I have something to request of you." He glared down at him with almost compelte disapproval.
The Persian looked up in suprise. "What do you need from me, Erik? I'm busy." He cast a hand around at his paperwork. "After you stole those jewels out of the main chamber, I've been loaded with work to cover for you!"
Erik sighed. "See, this is exactly what I meant about you being so uptight. You know... I know what could loosen you up!" He smirked, waiting for the Daroga to take the bait.
Slamming his pen down, the Persian put his head in his hands. "Tell me what you want so that I may return to my paperwork..." He muttered.
Erik grinned. "I'll meet you in the torture chamber in ten minutes."
The Persian stared. "What? Why? I thought that was sealed for now. And I really don't find murders quite as amusing as you do." He said cooly.
"What? No! I scheduled for us to have hot, passionate sex with a male monkey at four this afternoon!"
"
Oh, yeah. o_o That would be awesome.
O_o Wow, that was stupid. You can tell when it gets to be late at Youko's household. She acts more idiotically than usual. gonk

well there was that one point where Erik was always meeting the daroga on the lake edge and they had their "walks" and he was noting how lonely he was but he was assured that his intentions were entirely heterosexual, I read that and I was like...."Damnit Kay you dissapoint me once again!"

We all secretly knew that in fine print in the footers, Ms. Kay added several homosexual encounters between Erik and the Persian....[/sisze]
