The panther snarled ferociously at the impact of the first rock against its shoulder then whimpered under the impact of the second rock against its back thigh. It collapsed to the ground in a shuffle of dust, growling in pain. But there was only a moments pause before the strong beast was back on it's feet. It payed no mind to the second clone trying to keep its attention, smart enough to know exactly what direction those rocks had come from. The cat stared intensely at Tatianna and the clone beside her and leapt towards them again the best it could after the attack. This time, fangs were bared along with claws.

The clone beside Tatianna quickly shuffled in front of her. It gave a quick shout before the large fangs of the panther sank into its throat and the clone disappeared in another small pop of smoke. Tatianna tried not to think of if that had actually been her and quickly removed the kunai from her mouth. She still didn't want to kill the panther, but it was way to close for rock throwing now. Using her free hand, she swacked the cat clean across the face, then sliced at the same leg that had been bruised by the rock. After attacking, she quickly rolled off to the side to distance herself from the panther.

Even though Tati's hand smacked against its face, the panther was able to scuttle out of range of her kunai thrust. As the girl rolled away, the panther gave a light shake of its head to clear its gaze then hurried off after her. Despite having been wounded, the strength and agilty of the beast was no less impressive then it had been on its first strike. Close enough now, the panther reached out to snag at Tati's legs.

Tatianna cried out as she felt the sharp claws of the panther slice right across her left calf. She doubled her efforts to scoot away from the beast and quickly hobbled up, limping back as far as she could get. The entire time she kept her eyes on the beast though. She couldn't climb up any trees - if there had been any - and she certaintly couldn't out run it. So she had to focus and face it. "No more playing around, I need to stop this cat now!" Keeping her kunai out in front of her, Tati dismissed the other lingering clone, knowing it would be of no use to her now. Then she quickly sunk her had into her pouch, fishing up two of her shuriken and launching them at the panther.

The first shuriken went flying at the panther, logging itself in the panther's eye. Blood gushed from the wound and the cat shreiked out a roar. But merely milliseconds later the second shuriken, lodged itself within the cat's throat. The panther hit the ground hard, sliding across the dirt from the momentum of hits running. It came to a stop just infront of Tatianna's feet, struggling as it drowned in its own blood and the pain of the weapon in its eye. Tatianna watched with a sort of fixed fascination. For a moment. no thoughts ran through her mind. THere was only the image of the dying panther laying before her. And then warm tears slowly spilled from her eyes. This wasn't how it was suppose to go. She only wanted to fight it off, not kill it! Snapping back into reality, Tatianna knelt quickly beside the beast. She was by no means a medical ninja, so what was she suppose to do? If she pulled the shuriken from it's throat, would it kill it faster? What about the one in its eye? The longer she tried to figure out her next move, the faster the panther was dying and after another few minutes, it stopped moving completely. Tatianna didn't have to check for a pulse to know that it was gone.

Time passed slowly as Tatianna stayed on her knees by the panther, staring out down the mountain pass. Tears still stained her face, but she was done crying. That panther had been an irony. The irony of the shinobi life. She hadn't wanted to kill it because she knew that it was just attacking out of its nature. What made the cat any different than an enemy shinobi, sent on a mission for his own village. They all had their own causes, but in the end, someone had to die. Sighing softly, Tatianna looked again to the dead panther and thanked him silently for the lesson he had taught her. She withdrew the shuriken from its body and wiped them clean against her shirt placing them back into her pouch, along with her kunai.
She was so tired all of a sudden. Originally she had planed to finish her exploding tag jutsu training but now she just wanted to go home and sleep. But she couldn't just leave the dead panther in the middle of the mountain pass. Can't carry him anywhere...guess the rocks will have to do. Looking around, Tati decided she would gather up rocks to bury the panther beneath.
((The Panther's Grave
Tatianna will collect rocks both large and small to cover the dead body of the panther in a little rock grave. Search check will be used to locate the best kinds of rocks and strength check will be used to lift the bigger ones. Roll a random number of 1 to 2 on a successful search check to determine if the rock is small (1) or large (2).

Mizu walked around the bend of the mountian on his way to the top when he saw someone in the clearing. it looked like a girl around his age. she seemed to be wearing a amegakure hitai-ate which meant she was a ninja from the same village so she was most likely a friend. But other that that he noticed she was wearing the clan beads. Mizuken was now sure she was not a foe as he saw her burying a dead panther which seemed to attack her first as he could see some scratches on her which could have only happened if she was attacked first because ninja are not easily suprised. Mizu decided to walk over and see what she was doing.

Before going off to gather up what she needed, Tatianna took a moment to gather her strength, accidentally dozing off against a small cluster of rock and bush. Hours passed easily and the cool touch of the evening rain was what eventually woke her. She sat up with a start, realizing she had been out all day long. With a quick look around, it was evident that nothing had really happened during that time and the dead panther still lay in the passage way, washed clear of the blood from the rain. Standing up slowly, Tatianna took a moment to assess her injuries. She was covered in a thin layer of dirt from head to toe and aside from a few scratches here and there she was fine. The biggest wound was the gash along the back of her lower leg and she winced when she looked down at it. She would probably need stitches for that. Thankfully a gentle downpour had started, so the rain helped to wash away the ware and tare of battle. Hopefully nothing had gotten infected while she was sleeping. She felt fine for now.
Not too much longer later, Tatianna felt a presence approaching and turned at the sound of nearing footsteps. She narrowed her eyes curiously, but then smiled brilliantly at the sight of her fellow clan member. She had yet to meet him before, but she could tell he was Fujiko from the type of handwraps her wore. Walking over towards him, she took his hand in a shake the moment she was close enough. "Hi! I don't think I've ever seen you around before, but your Fujiko aren't cha? I'm Tatianna," she told him with a grin.
