nyaaaa dangit, oh well at this point mabey I won't get killed because I'm not acctually helping anything at this point sweatdrop always the silver lining to a stupid mistake like that.

or mabey if hairy is in the mafia I'll be killed because I'm currently the only person who still suspects him (nya?)

I'm currently suspicious of... *counts* everyone O_o

I'm still a tad suspicious of him, too, but of others as well. I don't know what to do. -_-

Hairy: Glad you like it! I don't think I've ever had paella. Thing is, Mom likes it, and it sounds good. We're trying to make up a recipe by altering other recipes so my grandparents (and, to a lesser extent, I) won't be really startled by it.

Stresshog
My suspicion has shifted from Hairy Priest to Triska... why won't you reveal who you are? Are you the Rani or Davros or something?

I knew this was coming. I'm helping the police BY hiding. Say for instance they decide, the reason I'm saying all of this may be because I'm one of the police and set to take me out. That will make one more day of an opportunity for the REAL police to take them out. However, if everyone reveals who they are, then things can get narrowed down. The problem that I'm seeing is that we don't know if there is something in the name that exposes, or not. However, there are some names that one would look at and think, now wouldn't that be the name of a person that did this? Like Cap. Jack, or Rose. Or Brigadier for instance.
So here's a little treat for the Mafia to think about. Does the name strike such an importance enough to call for you to strike. Or is it really at random on who is declared police?
After stringing those thoughts around. Here I am. Micky Smith. And, believe me I wouldn't make that up because I've always found him to be a complete ideate even if he did toughen up. Annnnnd be able to run an operation. Tricky tricky thing for the Mafia to figure out.

I suspect EVERYBODY! Its like I said before, Trust NO ONE...

and don't reveal your identity...it just adds to confusion if your lying, and makes it boring if you're not.

Are we going to make a lynch? I don't know of who...but I think we should decide soon...

I think everyone is afraid that if they start a lynch, and that person turns out to be innocent, they will be lynched next...

I say, Lets GO FOR IT! May we all come on agreement on who to lynch.

Woah woah woah!!! I think the clues may be telling us who the townies are, (aw gosh now I have to tell my character) the first clue: Good pets should try to follow their masters commands excellently... or perfectly try to follow them perfectly, attempt to follow the commands to perfectly, Attemptedperfection, neh? I know I'm not mafia, because I know I'm K-9, I wonder if the clues are all following this trend?

The other clue I'm almost sure was talking about fourtysecond scarf, the one with the link to the hitchhiker's guide in her sig. Any characters related to hitchhikers guide in doctor who? that could tell us who her character is.

Didn't Ceribri say, in no uncertain terms, the clues are just there so we don't end up with an awkward silence if no one has any ideas? She keeps saying that the clues mean nothing and they're just to get us talking.

Why they'd be called clues in that case, I have no idea.

And your theory makes sense. But then again, it may just be the power of suggestion. People tend to see patterns that aren't really there.

As I've said before, the clues could point to anything. ^^
EDIT: The clues don't mean nothing, they just aren't related to the storyline that I post them after. They will tell you something(s) about someone(s) though.

That's all I'm gonna say. mrgreen

MAJOR EDIT: What I'm trying to say is: each clue will tell you something about a different person, usually, or let you know something. I'm quite sorry for all the confusion surrounding this.

So... do the scenes mean anything?

Because if they do, Margaret Slitheen is definitely one of the Mafia characters. How many "large women" villains are there? And she teleports. That'd be Margaret Slitheen or whatever it is she calls herself. Even though I'd say she's more round than large.

And yeah, the first clue is so AttemptedPerfection = K-9.

Yeah, the scenes will involve you guys and what happens in the Night/Day etc... (such as Face of Boe's death by Nightkill - and 1st Dusk scene reflecting the No Lynch decision)

so not who the townies are but something about someone... who thinks deeply in doctor who? the doctor has his technical talk, the daleks are smart but they don't think they recieve orders, cybermen have deep voices they all think deeply... how about computer-like characters like the computer from hitch hiker's guide?

Also, its rather pathetic that it took me so long to think that mabey, just mabey the first clue was refering to me.

No, sorry, I got that out wrong! It is referring to who you guys are.. not just townies but anyone in the game. Each clue refers to someone different, not collectively as one. And it's not pathetic 'cause you were right about you, I will say that, because everybody has confirmed that they read the clue the same way.

-_-U thank you....
Yes...the power of suggestion is very powerful...once you start thinking one thing...your mind won't let it go until convinced otherwise.

See, now that you said that clue, I'm thinking of you (AP) as mafia.

Okay...I'm getting really fed up with how long this is taking...so...I'm gonna really put myself foreward and start a lynch...It's not a smart move...but somebodys gotta do it...

so...
AttemptedPerfection: 1 (fourtysecondscarf) 4 to lynch

There are many reasons for my decision. First off, now that I have been told of the potential for the first clue, I won't let it go. AP has also been one of those who I wasn't sure of from the beginning. I don't know if you're mafia or not...but I'm taking a shot because no one else will.

Another thing. You keep bringing up my name in association with the second clue. Needless to say, I don't appriciate this. When I first saw the clue, my first thought was that of the computer ind H2G2. eventually I was thinking, "Oh, well that means me."

I then got very mad at Ceribri, because she probably meant someone else, but H2G2 fans would follow a chain to me. I actually PMed her about this, but she refused to tell me what the clue actually meant.

I have been accused twice in a row by the same person, so I feel I must defend myself. Lets take a look at the first clue, shall we?
Quote:
Good pets should try to follow their masters commands excellently

now, this is a very strange thing, and nobody figures out a possible explanation until page 7.

The second clue seems to have a short and direct path to me. Why would there be such a difference in the clues, unless it was just being very misleading?

*sigh* I'm gonna get lynched, aren't I?
PostPosted: Thu Aug 23, 2007 8:34 pm

I have to say fairly that if I am asked a question about a clue, I cannot say yes or no about who it refers to - unless it is the person asking. That would be giving information away as an outside source (since I am not playing the game). Only just now did I clear up a misconception about all clues in general that AP had.

So I am quite sorry if you got mad at me for not saying who it was, but that would be against the rules.

EDIT: And you immediately thought of H2G2, but that doesn't mean everyone will. If I remember correctly, quite a few people didn't think of that at the beginning.

thats my point! it doesn't nessicarily refer to me, but AP thought so, and kept pushing it...I thought that was rude *sticks out tongue* so I decided to start a lynch...

It's amusing that the first vote to lynch goes against AttemptedPerfection, because after she explained how the clue leads up to AP = K-9, she's the person I'm most convinced is not mafia. After all, the clue says 'good pets', not evil ones.

Many of us are speculating the 2nd clue refers to fourtysecondscarf, but unlike the 1st one, which includes a reference to both the character and player (good pet = K9, try excellently = attempted perfection), 'deep thought' just seems to point to a player, without info about the character. Maybe, as AttemptedPerfection suggested, Ceribri is giving us clues to identify our fellow townspeople, although we can't be sure of that just yet.

So far only three people have yet to cough up a name: fourtysecondscarf, Touch My Seizure, and SamuraiButterfly. I notice that two of them were the among the first to start throwing speculation my way, and now fourtysecondscarf is encouraging us to lynch AttemptedPerfection just when we're potentially getting close to sorting out who's who. I think a normal townsperson wouldn't be so eager to just start lynching anyone, out of fear of getting one of their own. Therefore:

fourtysecondscarf: 1 (Hairy Priest) 4 to lynch

Hairy Priest
Vice Captain

Has anyone even seen SamuraiButterfly? She hasn't posted once in the game, and she hasn't responded to even her Character PM/others...I'd rather not have to replace her either.... sweatdrop
