Kuwabara does deserve more. Yu Yu without him wouldn't be the same...Course if any of them weren't in it it wouldn't be the same..

Psh. Of course not. Kuwabara's awesome. >3>; I was glad to see the fan fiction "Plot Holes" come up on fanfiction.net. Made me grin and realize even MORE just how important Kuwabara was. : DDD

I had thought it was Genkai the whole time, but when I realized it was him, my heart was totally with him. I would have stopped watching the show if they killed him off. ^^ EDIT: Havi, I read the fic that you linked. It was great! I always thought the "mulberry tree" comment was a pun on Kuwabara's name, which can mean "mulberry bush/field" in some translations. XD

Haha. Actually, it was sakura tree I believe in the Japanese version. ^^; Glad ya'll liked the fic though. It's personally one of my favorites and REALLY pushed me to be a Kuwabarette, as I've heard they're called. I mean...he only used like what? Twice? And all it could do was cut through...dimensions. I mean, what was so great about it? Someone enlighten me! XD

How is that not awesome? Was I wrong in thinking that all he needed to do would be to swing his sword, and they'd have an instant way into demon world? lol.

Alright, well yeah, I mean, that's pretty cool and all, but like.
Whenever the other characters got new abilities, it always made them stronger. Hiei's Dragon of the Darkness Flame and Mortal Flame techniques (which by the way, I notices he only uses in the Dark Tourney...*shrugs*), Kurama's plants and Fruit of the Previous Life, Yusuke's Spirit Wave and ever increasing Spirit Gun...
And then Kuwabara...I'm not saying he hasn't improved, because he has. He GREATLY has...but I just wish he had a more variety that gave him more superpower, you know? Like, why can't he now have the ability to fly or something? lol XD

Kuwabara's dimension sword is awesome! It is along the same lines as the spirit sword though; it's just a crazy stronger version. I can't think of many things to do with the sword...
Hiei can do more than that too! I mean come on- he has a jagan and a dragon- awesome combos- dozens could be made!
Kurama hasn't even hit the tip of the iceberg of what he can do with plants.
Yusuke might be able to do more if he'd stop punching -_- He just loves a fist fight XDDD every fight he's in *punch* *punch* *block* *punch* *sensui hits him with those freakishly long legs* "That hurt ostrich legs! Take some of this then!" *punches again*
They all could do a lot more I think mrgreen

Alright, well I began to rewatch Chapter Black, and I'm beginning to see the emphasis they put of "NO OTHER HUMAN OR ANYONE IN HISTORY FOR THAT MATTER HAS EVEN BEEN ABLE TO CROSS DIMENSIONS! LEEE GASSSSPP!" So his sword is pretty cool, but like I said...just not too much variety. : s

yeah it did say no human..but Mukuro had something that could cut dimensions? not sure......but it was sorta weird....
anyways, I don't see much else Kuwabara could do. He does sense things more than the others. And he used it as a ring doughnut xD and a javeline...so he does pretty well with it. OO and he made it bend!

Yeah! I mean, you really have to compliment the guy's creativity with what he has. And not to mention, his footwork is pretty good too. Seriously, just at some point (when the anime isn't TRYING to write him off as an oaf...) just look at how he moves, especially in fist fights. The guy's PHENOMENAL! o_O

Kuwabara's power is all in his perseverance and stubborn ways. (Oh, and just a generally awesome personality...) There isn't a lot of versatility in having a sword...but then, all the other characters are demons--perhaps they simply have other ways to use powers as compared to humans.
In the show's standards, a human who can swing an energy sword isn't much, but in real life (or what passes for it...lol) being able to defend one's self against demons (and use spiritual energy) is, like, AMAZING.

Actually, when Kuwabara FIRST gets an energy sword, the show emphasizes it like CRAZY. Genkai even states during the whole video game exercise in her tournament after seeing his Spiritual Awareness that she's surprised he doesn't turn it into a weapon. Then she states when he does finally form in that she's was waiting for it to happen and few humans can actually manipulate their energy in that manner.
If you think about it, all Yusuke does is gather his Spirit Energy (or Demonic in the case after his second revival) into his finger than BAM! that's it. Everyone else just manipulate their energy through other means, such as through wind, ice, electricity, or plants. Even HIEI had to use the hilt of his broken sword in his fight with Kuromomataro (?) to form his Sword of the Darkness Flame. So the fact that Kuwabara has such a strong manipulation of his Spirit Energy is purely GENIUS!
