She grinned at Ranu.
"I don't like sharing power, Ranu. I'd probably end up killing her."
Her expression darkened.
"It always seems to end up that way."

"Eh?" Ranu said, mentally watching the fight. "I have faith, I bid ten gold on her." He went back to the mental fight, flinching as Storm did the haymaker to his mother.

Ranu rolled his eyes, mentally putting more in. "I just bid my hat. There is no higher honour, where I am conserned." He visibly flinched then said, "Where the hell did Mama learn to kick like that? She just jump kicked like one of those Japanesse guys... A um... Ninja?"

"My mother, clearly." Ranu replied in a curt tone, as if suggesting it had been a daft question. His eyes widened as mental Storm got mental Mother in a choke hold and started suffercating her. He added his clothes to the mental bet, adding it would only be for a day. "My clothes are in your hands," Ranu said solumly.
