He turned his head and coughed over his shoulder, then apologizing. "I'm a little sick, but definitely getting better." he said, hugging her, and being careful not to tip her mug. It made him recall the conversation with Sapphire about coffee.. "How're you?"

"Aww," Ritsuko sympathized, setting her drink on the end table. "You should have come and found me. I have a bunch of remedies." She said, holding one of his hands. "But I'm glad you're feeling a little better. My day was fine, but too quiet."

Aerric took a deep breath and the coughing urge was gone, and he smiled. Leaning over and pushing his nose to her neck and sort of nuzzling her, he laughed. "Does quiet bother you? Because I can change that.. Surely." he said, laughing more and sitting back, shrugging. "Right right, I wasn't thinking.. I should have."

Ritsuko shrugged and poked his side playfully, "Quiet is a new concept to me." She admitted, curling her legs under her, "I raised Tomokazu, don't forget." She took a sip of her tea and set it back down, "But I'm learning to like it."

Aerric laughed and nodded knowingly. "Well... should you decide to not like it so much, I'll be willing to help." he said, wrapping his arms around her, and holding her hand again. He held her tight against him, whether it be from a protective thing, or possibly that it was just too right that she felt in his arms just as he had envisioned.

"Mm..." Ritsuko leaned into him and relaxed in his arms. "If I don't like it, you'll be the first person to know." She assured him, curling her fingers around his. She felt safe in his arms. It felt right this time.

Had he been a cat, he'd have been purring, and having raised a cat boy, Aerric was sure Ritsuko would've laughed had he done so. He stretched out his legs, laying down on the couch and held her tight, but made sure she could be comfortable if she were not so already.

Ritsuko arranged herself against him and laid there as well, reaching up to push back his hair a little before moving her hand down to caress his cheek. "Comfy?" She asked quietly.

Like a happy pet, he nodded and smiled with his eyes softly closed. "Very much so. Couldn't be comfier." he laughed and laced his hands on her stomach. "Tell me when you'd like an escort to bed, M'lady."

"I'm fine for the moment, unless you're getting tired." Ritsuko said. "We could sleep here, if you like, even." She offered with a shrug. "I could fall asleep against you. I don't remember a time I was more comfortable."

"You're also pretty cute." Ritsuko countered, leaning in to kiss his cheek. "We'll sleep here, then." She decided, nestling down to stay there the night, "Since you don't mind."

Aerric laughed and scrunched up his nose. He nodded, reaching his arm up to grab a blanket on the back of the couch and covering them both. "Well then, this is perfect." he said, bringing it up to her neck and he yawned. "G'night, Ritsuko." he said, before kissing her on the cheek.
