Also, random note: I work in a comics and cards shop as I've said before. My main job is to look up all the random junk we buy from people and either put it in the store or on Amazon or Ebay. So, towards the end of the day, I'm working on some CDs we had lying around (like everything else) and maybe it was that I was tired, maybe it was because I was bored, or maybe it was because of the Star Wars DVDs I'd priced earlier, but I misread the title of the CD when it popped up on Amazon after scanning.

The CD actually was "Maladroit" by Weezer.

I read it as "Maladroid".

...actually, we just got into the rainy season. It's been so muggy. I don't know why people vacation here in the summer. It rains every day and it's deathly hot.

It's super muggy here. Not to mention we've been getting more rain than usual. Lots of flooding. gonk

We've been having the same weather here, too. gonk The usual hot-and-dry has given way to hot-and-rainy. For all that I love the rain, the humid heat has not been so great.

I'm also peeling from a sunburn and covered in mosquito bites. crying Fail.

..........10 hour shift in the morning. I might need Mala on stand-by for emergency foot amputation.

I know how you feel. I worked 4 hours babysitting, then 4 hours at Jamba Juice on my very first actual shift. It was soooo crazy and difficult but I still managed to have a good time. Shoulders and feet hurt really bad though. gonk

Mala will have to amputate for us when she gets back from AX. crying heart

I can't believe I missed these opportunities for cutty-cut. emo

Fourth day: Stood in line again, was really tired this day. Got inside the Dealer's Hall and spent the last of my money, looked around for Mala for a bit and couldn't find her. I sat down outside of the Dealer's Hall a lot this day 'cause I was finally getting tired and there wasn't much else to check out. Left around 2:30 'cause I had to catch the bus from the convention center into Downtown LA (about a two hour ride with the bus passing every hour). Got home and relaxed.

Several days in Cali and still as pasty as ever...

Seriously, how do you avoid getting a tan while on the surface of the ******** sun?

Seriously. cool Not only did I not get a tan while I was in Cali, I didn't get a sun burn, either.

I did get a terrible burn the weekend I got back, however. gonk Genrou and I went out on the nature trails for about 10 miles on Saturday, then again on Sunday. It wasn't until late Sunday that I realized my shoulders were bright, bright red and rather painful. sweatdrop I'm still shedding skin like a leper.

On the bright side, I took lots of pictures while we were out. Must get them moved onto the computer to see if there are any worth sharing. heart

MALA'S BACK! Did you pummel beat into submission ask Lanzer about your sootface?

I still haven't made it around to backlogging. sweatdrop I've been "backlogging" my new stuff and catching up on TV-watching.

However, I was able to ask. Lanzer tells me the new avatar system should be out within a week, which will allow avatars to have tattoos. He says the soot face probably won't be available as one of the initial tattoo options, but it should be coming along eventually as something users can purchase. He implied that getting the soot face available would be pretty easy to institute once they got the tattoo system up and running, though they would probably work on more "traditional" tatts initially.

4laugh I read this and got very excited. I almost peed a little. rofl

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Lanzer was, as usual, a little bit on the optimistic side in terms of timing. sweatdrop Week, month, year, whatever.

There was this really cute VW bug (2004, I think), fully loaded and with a/c. Only it had this BUTT UGLY decal on the side (which is why I think it wasn't selling well) for $9k. But as soon as I had saved up enough money, it sold. cry

It's all good tho. I now have money and I can probably get a better car for less. (I know a car dealership that can give me a good deal and has a great reputation. My mom bought her last 2 cars there and both have been GREAT cars.) 3nodding

VW Bug is the car I want to get when I eventually get around to getting one. whee heart They are the cutest damned cars ever.

well, they decided that the movie they were going to show on the cruise was titanic XD oh the irony.

x_x; My dad just told me that today! And right after we get back from going on a freaking cruise =_=;

Nobody got thrown overboard though, just some people got injured.
