Kaguyo looked peaceful, at ease for the first time since he'd seen her. She had grown gradually calmer and more trusting throughout the day; she was loyal. Her devotion didn't need to be questioned.
Even now her hand twitched in her sleep, still tight and sore from the pages of script she had placed neatly on the table. She had a very special and precise way of tending to them, like they were holy objects or delicate china instead of mere paper. She valued those pages the same way she valued every extension of him, even the muse, careful not to damage or smudge so much as a single character.
She knew how valuable Ainsu's plays were to him, and she made his work as important to her as if it were her own.
She wouldn't betray him. Despite his injuries, his mood swings, Kaguyo had always been on his side as long as he or she could remember. The fact that she was trusting enough to fall asleep so quickly attested much to the strength of her heart.
She snuggled into the covers, reaching out for his side restlessly. When she didn't find him there, she sighed softly, but still slept, arm outstretched and waiting.
She really was sweet and trusting to the point of being naive. For as strong and callous as Kaguyo could be, it was because she was protecting a delicately sensitive interior.
She'd wait however long she'd have to for him to come back to her arms, even in sleep.

Kazuhiko tilted his head. "Don't lie Ojiisan. I can always tell when people are lying. I killed someone who was gonna threaten me and Mumma with a SINGLE KICK to riiight here." he patted his sternum. "No one lies to me. I hate it. But you're family, so I won't hurt you. I'll just call you on it. Bluff!" he smiled. "I just think you need to tell me these things so you can start healing. No one shouldn't have no one to talk to. But I agree. Aoki-no-baka shouldn't be trusted again. He's a rat---no...weasel." he decided quickly. "Rats can be nice. Badger perhaps. Iccck. Mo...mosiikeeto. The things that make you itchy." he wrinkled his nose. "Either way he needs to die. Can I kill him Ojiisan? He hurt you and Kaze-lady and Susan and prolly Da and Wata-Raisin (his new nickname for Watari), sooooo.... that's good enough reason to smite for me. I warned him. I'm prince tech'nic'ly. I told him I would. Pleeeeeeeeeeease?"

Morrigan nodded. "Sounds rational to me." she agreed. "I missed you Po-ar... I... I was really mad at you before you left with Kit... I was thinking about leaving myself." she admitted softly. "I'm glad I thought about it more though. Maybe we'll get to spend more time together, because I really care about you... about Kazu-kun... Sometimes we just don't have time to talk or anything like we used to. I figure it's better off to say something than to leave you with questions." she bit her lip a bit. "I really want to stay with you, though, Po-ar, not just for Kazuhiko. I love you a lot."
She held him close, closing her eyes. "And I'm not doing this to scare you. Not at all. I just know we're going to have to change a few things and see how it goes from there... Just be more affectionate with eachother, maybe go on walks or something of that nature." she shrugged a bit. "An effort is all I needed, and the fact you would die for me says a lot." she smiled warmly. "I just don't want you to become a stranger to me one day. I think it would break my heart."

Kazuhiko nodded slowly. "I told him I'd kill him though. Will he be axe-cuted?"


Morrigan returned the kiss, smiling. "Aishiteru." she returned.
She was having a good feeling about all this.
"How are you feeling? Well enough to see Kazu-kun?" she asked gently, stroking his cheeks with her thumbs. "He missed you a lot."

Morrigan smiled, nodding. "Good idea." she agreed, helping him stand.
She blushed however. "I thought you might sleep. Perhaps we should change out of something other than PJs... your clothes were kinda bloody." she pointed to a pile in a wicker basket. "Do you want to go see him now, or wait until tomorrow morning?"

Kazuhiko smiled. "Can I use the axe on him?"

Morrigan shook her head, moving to the dresser. "I don't mind either way, sweetheart." she smiled. "I'm just happy to be able to see you both again. I never expected in the short time I was dead that you'd make up and ally with your father of all people... I mean, damn, that was out of left field." she smiled wider. "Kazuhiko seems to like him."

Kazuhiko shrugged. "It's how I am." he explained. "If I can't do what I promised to do, I'll feel sad. So how about I catch him instead?" he beamed. "Pleeease? I can catch him with my portals even! Put him in a jar." he shook the pill bottle that once had his parents in it.

Kazuhiko grinned smugly. "I track souls Ojiisan. I see them just like I see you. When he's moving to another body, when you see nothing, it'll be like I see him flying. Do you understand? Simple! And open two portals at once, attacking him twice in one move, boom! Done." he shrugged.

Morrigan tilted her head. "Possessed?? How didn't I notice that?? Well, then again, I only ever did see him once or twice..." she mused softly. "I figured he loved you though. He never looked at you mean."

Kazuhiko punched the air, pleased. "Yessssssss!" he cackled, snuggling Aled. "I'm going to be a lot like you one day I think. See? We have same colored hair." he tugged on his hair a bit, his other hand tugging on his own. "What does it mean Ojiisan?"

Morrigan smiled faintly. "I can imagine my dear." she purred softly. "You're a crafty kid. So what do you want to do? We can take another day to rest if you need it. Kazu-kun and your father can visit in the morning."

Kaguyo slept for a good while, but she couldn't sleep long without Ainsu around.
She'd gotten used to not sleeping alone. It was one of those things you couldn't get over quickly.
She yawned, treading lightly through the hallways. "Su-kun, doko desu ka??" she called softly, pulling her robe around her.
She still looked tired, but there was something sweet about her disheveled appearance and concern. It was hardly before dawn, there was no reason for her to be awake at this hour.
"Su-kun?" she called again, pausing in the middle. "Doko de shimasen ka...?" she murmured outloud, tilting her head. "Hn..."

"Sooooo..... what if I dyed it green?" Kazuhiko tilted his head. "And what does the white hair mean? I know it means we're different, but how are we?"

Morrigan nodded. "I do feel tired, I just don't have the time to sleep. Too many things to worry about." she shook her head. "I don't know... maybe a little nap. If he can teleport again, well, he'll visit eventually." she crawled back into bed, practically collapsing. "It's so soooffft..." she sighed happily, "Mmph...Sleep sounds nice to me."

Kaguyo crept in, yawning widely.
It was probably the most disheveled anyone had ever seen the woman. She was wearing pajama pants that were easily too big on her, stolen from Aled's---now Ainsu's---closet, a tank top, and socks. One of the socks was dangling halfway off her feet, another closet find; they were obviously not her size either.
With her hair sticking out at all the odd angles it was, the sleepies in her eyes, and the equally over-sized robe dragging behind her, she was quite a sight to behold.
She yawned again, moving to Ainsu's side and hugging his good arm. "I can't sleep." she partially scolded him, although there was no malice or scorn in her voice at all. "Why aren't you in bed?? How's this coming?" she asked Watari, glancing at him. "I think I have an idea, too, I meant to tell you. Is there any way we can regenerate the muscle tissue from the shoulder downwards?"

Kaguyo shrugged. "I'm used to being around you." she answered as if it was obvious. "We always slept together back home.... well... one home, anyhow." she smiled softly. "I guess I don't mind Earth too badly. Oh. But yes, Watari-kun, I have an idea... We could make an adjustable cuff we could place around the arm, gradually moving it down as the muscle comes back...? Maybe the cells just need to think that this is a cut, so to speak... Then again, I'm no scientist, but I've always been curious about this sort of stuff."
She wrapped an arm around Ainsu's waist, yawning and leaning on him gently. "You should come sleep soon. What time is---5:30 in the morning?? Sweetheart...." she chided, shaking her head, "I know you're worried, but you need sleep to heal too!"

Kazuhiko frowned. "Not even if I leave it on for a really long time and it's dry?" he sighed. "I want it to be pretty colors too. And maybe if I hide it, people won't treat me different. No one would ever suspect it and then I can play Superhero." he shrugged. "I have to take care of these people Ojiisan. Lots and lots of people, living AND dead. But tell me, why does white hair make us special?" he insisted, tugging on his shirt. "Ojiisaaann.... Hide and go seek isn't very fun with thoughts. You think too loud but it's too blurry for me to understand. You're blocking it somehow. How'd you do that?"
Kazuhiko was playing with the hair at his temples, looking at his aura. "Strong mind." he murmured, tapping on the top of his head. "You're strong all over Ojiisan."

Morrigan yawned, snuggling him immediately. "Me too." she agreed. "Like I said... he brought us tea, the cute kid.... He knows where we are. I think he's really attached to your father though." she smiled, looking up at him. "He sees similarities. Knows his roots. How the hell did we do that?? I wonder if any other of our kids will have white hair. How often does that happen?"
