Alpha chuckled brightening the place up by lighting up a small fireball in his hand "It only allows sword users in though. Spears, claws, knives and other weapons have blades too but they aren't allowed. I could fight perfectly fine with claws if they were allowed in the tournament" he explained tossing the fireball up and down.
Hebal giggled peeking into the bag to see if Ivy had left even one sweet in the bag "Oh there you are, I almost thought we had lost you but thats a lot of sweeties you've eaten tonight so make sure to brush your teeth for 3 times as long tonight" she instructed her spinning her way down the stairs "I totally have an awesome idea, we could paint the stall and everyhting to make it look cooler and maybe close during the quiet times and go see the chocobos!"

Felina smiled speeding up so Oassu wasn't waiting around too long for her to finish "I thought so, what about you then? Is there anything in particular that you would like as a birthday... present" she asked finishing off the last part of the meal she thought she could manage "I don't even remember when I was 23 and it's a better sounding date than 563 isn't it" she laughed.
Satoshi giggled tightening her grip around Gil's arm "I'm ok don't worry, that stumble wasn't due to tiredness" she reassured him looking at the esculators "Say since nobody else is around why don't we have a nice change and try going up the down esculator" she suggested admiring the view below.
Yusti smiled glancing down at Ivy in the bag "Ok then correction theres no fiends that could be of much interest to me. No offence they are cute and all but I'm only interested in ones I can catch" she quickly added realising how it might have sounded like an insult Closing early may be a good idea, go watch your pals fight in the arena even, I bet they could do with support.

Oassu laughed too "Thats how old you are? Mighty big gap there but you look really good for your age" he joked looking at the desserts menu "Hmmm well I have no need for anything really, just anything you think would be fun for me" he said happily.
Gil chuckled "Sure we could but that'd certainly tire us out in time for tomorrow" he said looking at the escalator "Still we can go and do it if you want, it'd be good training I suppose" he said.
Mari frowned as Ivy popped out the bag and began buzzing around their heads rapidly "Mmm not sure it was a good idea to feed her those sweets but don't worry there no offence I wouldn't want any of my little ones fighting anyway at least in a place where they are supposed to lose" she said.
Zadina nodded "Chocobo's sounds like a great idea Miss Hebal!" he said excitedly "But Cap'n Alpha I don't think claws would come under the blade category....they are more like gauntlets or martial arts right?" he said

Hebal cheered leaping up and over Zadina and Alpha a couple of times waiting on the rest of them to catch up with her "Maybe if we ambush Seph early in the morning or find Jenna we could ask to borrow their chocobos too but thats probably not going to happen. Still theres lots of chocobo races to be watching" she sung pulling a face at Ivy "She'll calm down shortly. Sugar only makes you hyper for so long then once its burned off you get really sleeepy"
Alpha paused waving his thumb up and down "Well... it would depend entirely on the types of claws used. If it's proper claws it could be seen as a blade, on the other hand if it's just a glove add on then its a martial arts thing. It's kind of a grey area at times" he concluded turning left at the fork outside "Well then, since this is where the path splits I guess I'll be seeing all you competitors over the next couple of days " he told them with a brief wave.

Felina scratched her chin picking up her own dessert menu "Hmm... I have a bit of an idea then but theres so many ways to do fun that I will have to give it a little bit of thought before your birthday. That means I might need a little more private time" she giggled suddenly coming up with an idea to pursue "So is there anyhing in particular that you fancy for dessert? Those cakes look nice"
Satoshi clapped her hands cheerfully then lept away from Gil onto the wrong esculator "It's won't tire us out so long as we don't over do stuff and it's really not that difficult to climb up slow poke" she called back to him after already managing to get halfway up "You must admit this is something you've always wanted to do"
Yusti nodded trying to ignore the buzzing from Ivy "alright then, nice meeting you Mr.Alpha" she answered politely despite not even having a conversation with him "If theres anyhting you want to do before going to bed yourself Mari I would suggest doing it now as you only have about half an hour before your curfew kicks in"

Oassu frowned going over it "Maybe the knickerbocker glory ice cream...." he pondered "Still thats fine if you want a little private time dear" he chuckled "Don't wanna be one of those couples that's inseparable, kinda like what Satoshi and Gil are becoming." he said.
Gil grinned chasing Satoshi up the escalator taking advantage of his position to admire her behind "Well I can't say I've seen one of these things before, not many places have this advanced technology you know?" he said.
Mari frowed as Ivy buzzed about Alpha turning his fur various colours before flying back to Mari and dancing around her head "I think I'll just get home, this little nymph needs to wear herself down by flying around the room a few hours I think" she sighed.
Zadina nodded waving goodbye to Alpha "Claws wouldn't really be allowed if blades was expanded from swords would they Miss Yusti?" he asked uncertainly "And you'd need to be really good to convince Seph to part with Chobi." he said "Even then we probably couldn't race her." he added.

Hebal sighed giving Alpha a wave off remembering that shortly they would have to go in the same diretion "Aww way to crush my spirits but I guess we would need more riding practice before Seph would trust us alone with Chobi. Never mind that though, we can always bet a few gil on the races for fun" she shrugged it off glancing in both directions unsure whether to follow Mari.

Felina laughed providing Oassu with an approving nod "Nice choice of dessert. I'm still to decide but you know, we do actually spend a massive amount of time together too. Gil and Satoshi are still quite a newish couple too so it's only natural they want to spend so much time in eachothers company" she defended them scanning down the food pictures again trying to decide. "Oh that reminds me, I want to check up on Zadina tomorrow and I think I saw him in the market place. I bet you can find all sorts of pockets to pick while looking for him"
Satoshi yawned bouncing her way up to the top of the esculator with ease "See now that wasn't so hard now was it, don't run too fast yet cause we got 3 more of those to run up before we hit the top level area. I've seen one or two of these machines on my travels to the moogle towns but I don't think they will ever take off in places other than the skies" she predicted making a start on the next machine.
Yusti shook her head at Zadina but kept her focus on what Hebal was planning to do "It's alright you guys, you can come see Mari off if you want and I'll take you back to the enterence since we someone else will be taking over things once Sophia is shut inside. But claws would most likely not be allowed, the general rule is whenever theres uncertainty or a grey area then don't allow it"

Oassu nodded "I guess so but why? Are you worried about him?" he asked "I've got nothing against going to see him but he'll be fine with Hebal, she's a responsible adult and she's done a good job with Amane right?" he said.
Gil frowned "Are we going all the way to the top of the city?" he asked proceeding to chase Satoshi again "Still what moogle towns have you been to in your travels?" he asked.
Mari nodded "Yeah come along with us and don't worry Hebal I'm sure with some practice you could be a fine Chocobo racer, Seph just wouldn't want you wasting all your money since there is normally an entry fee to these races." she said.
Zadina paused "You think they will ever allow big magic competitions in the arena here?" he asked Yusti "I could probably do a good job in one of those you know?" he said picturing what it would be like to battle in front of the arena.

Hebal smiled skipping up along side Mari switching places with Yusti without even realising it "I have plenty money to get by even without the diamonds cause a good suit of armor can go for tens of thousands a part ans it toally wouldn't be a waste of time if you had loads of enjoyment out of it at the end of the day. But if I do become super successful at some skill chocobo racing or not you've got to come and watch or see my work ok?" she chirped playfully grabbing hold of Mari's arm and using it to twirl her forward.

Felina blushed behind her menu snapping it shut once her face had returned to it's normal colour and she had finally made her decision "I know Hebal is good with kids and that because of Amane but still. I can't help but worry somewhat about my little cousin Zadina, if anything I was thinking of giving him some of his allowence so he could buy a few things" she quietly explained.
Satoshi giggled waiting once again at the top for Gil "Hehe you tell me, your the one with the moogle pals that told you of the good places to go. We can ride the esculator normally now to save energy" she decided linking arms with him once again "I haven't been to many moogles towns but I went to this place called Toolaw which is full of esculators since it's quite touristy"
Yusti scratched her head looking back at the arena "Well you see... it could be done but not at present. Gria aren't very good with magic you see so we would need to hire a load of foreign magic users to make sure everyone in the audience is protected. Plus we would have to get some standard staffs bought and a new set of judges in. Realistically it could happen but without some big funding we wouldn't be able to hold one"

Oassu nodded "You could do that I suppose but didn't he get a lot of diamonds from Milly? And isn't he royalty himself surely he's already got another source of income?" he asked.
Gil chuckled "Yeah well I said the clubs are on the level between middle and top." he said joining Satoshi on the escalator "There are clubs on the top level but....they aren't the most respectable......kinds" he said as they arrived on the top level.
Zadina sighed "Oh well maybe another time I'll be able to participate, don't you think I could win all sorts of wondrous prizes Miss Hebal?" he asked excitedly "Though I wouldn't be allowed my spellbook I imagine." he sighed.
Mari nodded "Yeah by the way this wonderful armour you made for me, how much would it cost normally?" she asked gasping as Hebal spun her around "Hehe well of course I'll come and see you racing if you get really good at it." she giggled once they'd stopped spinning.

Hebal grinned turning around and walking backwards so she was facing her friend "Yay that would be awesome but you never know. Maybe I won't be a famous chocobo racer but a famous super model thanks to Satoshi's dresses" she cheered turning herself around only after walking straight into a lamp post "Hehe I'm ok! Lemmie think... I haven't really thought about valuing the armor but I think it would fall in the 50-100K category" she estimated.

Felina shook her head glancing over at the staff hoping to get their attention to make an order "Both Zadina's parents have disappeared into thin air and you know his older brother is either missing or dead more likely the latter. That means he doesn't exactly have a source of family income, can't inherit the family titles until his borther has been missing for 2 years. Plus I've been keeping hold of a lot of his earnings including a lot of his diamonds for him" she informed Oassu with a sigh "It's such a shame how he hasn't got any main family"
Satoshi frowned blushing slightly at some of the places on the top level before turning back around to settle with the level below "On second thoughts follow me back down one, I am nowhere near that drunk to hang around this area" she told him teleporting Gil back down "There we go this bit looks a lot better now lwts go to the place with the flashy green lights" she grinned.
Yusti smiled patting Zadina on the head "I don't see why you couldn't use your spell book, after all aren't staffs rods and spellbooks what you use to cast magic. What you should do is talk to some of your big shot elf nobles and magicians and try and convince them to help us out with the magic part of the tournamant. Or go one better and set up a big magic arena and tournament when you become all grown up" she encouraged.

Oassu called a waiter over and pointed out the dessert he wanted "Whatever happened to his parents anyway and Zadina seems to believe his brother is still alive besides he does have family, he's got you after all" he said.
Gil laughed seeing Satoshi's reaction "Told ya anyway lets go to that place then," he said "There's a small queue but it should be fine" he said joining the end of it behind some Gria girls "Geez I bet everywhere is ladies night in this town" he whispered to her.
Zadina nodded "Thats fine then but it's not exactly a generic spellbook like you have the competitors use generic weaponry but that sounds like a good idea would be awesome if I could set one of those up" he said excitedly.
Mari giggled "You're certainly pretty enough" she said patting her ears "And I'm sorry I don't have any money on me to pay you for the armour" she sighed feeling very guilty at the high price.
