NONONO- the death match used to be to graduate from the ACADEMY. But it was abolished ten years before the start of the series because Zabuza, who wasn't even a student, randomly came in and killed about 100 kids of that year's graduating class.
To join the S.S. you just have to be one of the best of the best of the best of Kiri's shinobi and wield a blade of some sort. . thank you for that helpful info that cleared up my confusion! 3nodding

I was Mizukage of one forum RP (that sadly burned down, fell over then sank into the swamp after less than a month) because I was the one who had the obsessive knowledge of Kiri, it's ninja and history~ ^^
@Daisuke: When you get back from that research, I'll all ready be doing the 'I was right dance'

And yes, like Dev and Mizuchi and Suijin before she became Mizukage 3nodding
