As for my leaving places I like... check your eyesight hun, I think it's worse than you thought it was. I gave up places that are filled with hate, and a waste of my time.

You can like someone or something, then come to a point where you hate them and the place. I think it's wise to give up on things that aren't going anywhere.

Places, men that spend more time with pictures of women rather than real women. Or pay for sex.

The company went through a contract purge.

They took all the part-time contracts and made them into a few full time contracts. Then they left the remaining hours unfilled to use casual workers to fill.

That way they don't have to pay benefits, and save money.

They changed their sick call policy. Two for one. Two people have to be gone before they are replaced, but they would rather leave the work undone for another shift than to replace a worker.

Sick time is the number one cost for the company.

They moved the branch under which the department falls, we used to be our own branch, but that meant one more upper level manager to oversee our department.

They demoted our department head, froze all salaries, and put us underneath of a nurse manager.... who believes only nurses can make decisions.

No finance background, huge part of her portfolio involves finances. All unfilled positions due to retirement, or in our case a thirty percent working disabled workforce.

Bottom Line: We need more able bodied people in the work force, to limit the available positions for people to work while injured (sounds cruel but it's cheaper to pay them to stay home than to have them do a quarter of the work and hold up our production), and submit for the contracts that haven't been filled.

We have union, so technically if all the casual workers put in for a group grievance, and filed together, then the entire department's schedule would be reviewed for the past three months. Anything that is work done that isn't replacing sick calls or vacation should be designated to a contract, and have benefits.

In a nutshell, that's what is wrong.
