Alpha smiled continuing to watch Seph who had deliberately slowed down allowing her opponant to catch up and clash blades while they descended towards the ground "I don't have heat vision. Just think of it this way, I'm more alert to temperature changes in the atmosphere in the same way that your hearing is sharper than those who aren't elves" he explained noticing Seph twist her body around until she was directly above Leld then used her sword to push the gria into the ground leaving her time to pull up.
Hebal shuddered a little listening to the loud crash of Leld hitting the stone floor "Owee that looked like it hurt a little but I think what Yusti meant was that Seph was doing stuff too defensively which meant she wasn't actually showing the judges any of her skills" she guessed pretending to be cleaning her teeth with a tooth brush shaped marshmallow "But come on Mari, whats the worst that can happen if Ivy has one or two sweets and if you think she's having too much you can tell her to stop"

Felina raised her eyebrow at Oassu surprised by his suggestion "Really? I didn't think cooking was really your thing. Though if you did want to learn to cook elvish food I would suggest first learning something a little less complicated since that one has to be cooked in a special way..." she stopped to take a bite from her food. "Oh and the best dessert ever is peach melba" she suddenly remembered to add.
Satoshi nodded pointing to her belly wear Terrato was wrapped around making it look like she was wearing a belt "Yeah he's pretty tired now so maybe it would be best to leave him at the cabin too. And I'm just annoyed that we are being excluded because we are more disciplined in a particular skill unlike a lot of you lazy other people" she added sticking her own tongue out.
Yusti smiled slowly nodding her head with approval "Now thats more like it and thats exactly what I meant Hebal. Can't judge you that high on skill and aggression if you spend the whole match on the defensive. Also suggests lack of strategy" she muttered reaching across Mari to nick some of Hebal's popcorn. "Don't tempt fate, you know how mischevous she can be without the sugar"

Oassu chuckled "Well maybe as a special giorno de amour treat for you I'll make it up or your birthday" he said eating some food "But what is Peach Melba? I've never had it" he shrugged "I guess I could ask Hayate to teach me about elvish cooking." he said.
Gil chuckled "Nice fashion accessory you got there but it's been a long day for them lets get them home" he said thanking the waitress as they stepped outside slinking an arm around Satoshi's waist he guided her back towards the arena "And don't feel so bad about it, Ninja darts is way different, the board is different with more smaller circles in it so people can measure all your pinpoint accuracy" he chuckled.
Mari smiled seeing Seph retaliate "I guess she's almost certainly won by the looks of things then still defence is a fine strategy too but I bet you'd know what scores the most seeing as you're a judge right?" she asked trying to ignore the excited noises coming from Hebal's pick n mix.
Zadina nodded "I see...." he frowned thinking it looked very painful "Still it's a good thing Seph is winning then, did you see Itaka's fight earlier Cap'n Alpha?" he asked.

Hebal cheered unintentionally tossing some of her popcorn up into the air along with her hands "Yay now you must admit that was a good move just then by Seph. But Yusti you've got me thinking... what else do you judges do apart from watch fights and sometimes rate who the better fighter is? It seems like a pretty fun job to me in comparison to the other tournament related ones."
Alpha shook his head almost roaring out a yawn "No I didn't see his fight. I didn't get away from the airship until about 4 so only managed to catch Satoshi in action who seemed to be struggling throughout hers" he smiled watching Seph move forward performing a series of swipes before Leld could recover knocking the blade out as a result.

Felina smiled waiting until she had swallowed her chewy food before speaking again "Peach melba is a dessert which is made of peaches sitting on a bed of ice cream topped with raspberry puree and a little bit of sugar. Thats a lot easier to make than the spiced pork but if thats what you really want to do my birthday is just over a month away"
Satoshi snickered watching Terrato slither up her waist and around Gil's arms "Looks like you're the one who has the new accessory for now. Sorry about that but for some reason he just likes attatching himself to your arms. I don't think I would do so well in ninja darts though, some people like one of my old team mates focused solely on throwing weapons and jutsu associated to them" she quietly admitted.
Yusti nodded leaning forward and pointing out the match judge who was closely watching Leld's failing attempts to reach for her blade "This match will be over in 3...2...1..." she counted down until the judge stepped in stating the gria was no longer able to battle and that the winner was Seph. "We also have to stop fights. Rules state if a fighter loses their weapon and is unable to retrieve it within 30 seconds then they are no longer able to battle. We have to also step in if we think theres a death risk or someone is suffering heavy injuries but thats not so common"

Oassu nodded "I'd heard of it but I'll buy a cookbook tomorrow maybe, still anything you'd like for your birthday?" he said pausing "Your birthday must be pretty close to the Dragon Festival." he said.
Gil smiled stroking Terrato "Probably thinks of me as some kinda climbing frame but so long as he's comfy there" he said happily "And I dunno how it works really but your still very talented with darts" he said.
Mari smiled cheering for Seph "Woo Yeah!" she cheered "Well done Seph!" she said clapping and whistling "She did well there, preserved a lot of her energy too" she said happily "Still what do you do in battle Yusti?" he asked.
Zadina shook his head "Shame but I bet Satoshi is happy she won, Gil must be treating her for that victory" he said looking at Seph "Hehe she did very well I wonder who she'll fight tomorrow." he pondered.

Hebal clapped her hands rapidly then placed an arm around both Yusti and Mari and pulled then into a tight hug "Yaaaay yaaaaay Sephy Wephy won that fight no problem didn't she?" she cheered again suddenly letting go of her friends so she could dance around on the spot "Do you actually do a lot of fighting Yusti? Ever thought of competing here yourself?"
Alpha shrugged watching Seph strike a pose for the small group that was the media who had bothered to stick around until the end of the day "Yeah I bet she and Gil are off celebrating somewhere all nice and fancy with the thought of fighting tomorrow far from their minds. All I know is everyone Seph is going to fight tomorrow will be of a similar weight and will also use only one blade"

Felina nodded glancing down at Oassu's plate trying to work out if he was enjoying his meal "Yeah my birthday is exactly 2 weeks before the dragon festival. Still theres nothing really I want for my birthday except to have a good time with you guys. After a few hundred years it gets hard to be creative and original with the gifts" she giggled.
Satoshi laughed failing to encourage Terrato to leave Gil alone with her gestures "Yeah I guess so, your like one big playground/ snake bed" she teased moving out the way of a somewhat drink moogle flying home in all sorts of wavy patterns "I'm not good with darts, I'm just good with needles and kunai which combines togeter sort of make a dart. Still I am going to have to find something else to beat you at because it feels good winning stuff"
Yusti gasped taken by surprise by Heal's hug but gave Seph a round of applause once free from her grip "What do you mean, like my weapon or abilities? I guess I would be classed as a ravager because of my skills ans I fight with a greatsword which you may have noticed by the bed in my room. But no the competition isn't really for me Hebal, I much prefer capturing fiends"

Oassu smiled "I guess so but I bet you've not had a boyfriend as intimate as me before, I'm thinking theres a buncha stuff I can give you now you are in a proper relationship" he chuckled.
Gil smiled "Well you'll always be prettier than me" he said leaning down to kiss her "And you have a much better booty shake than me" he said opening their cabin and entering before sitting down to talk to Enkidu and giving him some food "There that should be him for the night what about this guy?" he asked indicating Terrato
Mari nodded "Well I'd like to see you fight sometime could be awesome!" she said clapping polite as the announcers suggested the audience make their way to the exits "You'd have to be to capture all those fiends by yourself" she said getting up after the hug.
Zadina giggled joining Hebal's dance before turning to Alpha "How did you find out all those bits of information Cap'n..." he paused "Makes me wonder if any of our friends will need to fight each other tomorrow." he said sadly

Alpha smiled glancing across to his friends "The only ones I can think of at this stage who could fight against eachother are Mari and Satoshi. They can't be too heavy and both use one sword. It's so the tournament isn't dominated by those with advantages such as wings or multiple blades. One of the moogles worked at the arena one year and was chatting away about it when he heared you guys were competing" he explained getting up onto his feet taking the hint.
Hebal lept up jumping over one one the rows behind them "Shame we have to leave now since the whole arena thing was starting to get interesting. What is a ravager anyway? I've never heared anyone other than gria mention then and they have never really explained what makes them stand out in battle" she blushed slightly embarrassed that she didn't know.

Felina shrugged requesting another drink from a passing waitress "Yeah but you know, birthdays just don't excite me all that much anymore. I mean it's not so bad when you obly have about 80 but when you have over 2000 of them you tend to just shrug them off and keep on doing the day to day activities" she sighed.
Satoshi smiled back gently pulling Terrato off Gil then placed him around the nearest bed post. "Ha thats not really a hard challenge considering the obvious gender differences and I am still to see your dancing to make a judgement as to who is better. Now you stay here and wrap yourself around the stuff here and we'll be back later on" she instructed petting the snakes head "Right thats those two sorted so lets get going unless you need to use the bathroom first."
Yusti smiled patting Hebal's shoulder while hovering around her height level "Aww don't worry about it. Ravagers are a gria only job that is basically the equivelent of a knight only more adjusted to fighting in the air as well as on the ground. Tend to fight with greatswords or very long ones" she explained to Hebal ignoring the speakers reminding people of the match outcome. "I don't capture them by myself, I work as a team including the beastmaster I mentioned earlier"

Oassu frowned "Come now don't be that way about it, every birthday is special, you deserve presents and a big celebration on that day, it'd be a shame if a princess's birthday wasn't celebrated" he said.
Gil shook his head "I'm fine, lets hit the town" he chuckled linking arms with Satoshi, patting Enkidu on the head an leading out the door "Now I hear some of the clubs are on the mid-high levels of Kunec so I think we'll need to go up a level" he said.
Mari nodded moving towards the exit "Means she must be super strong then, I'll need to see how you fight some time but for now I think I need to get to bed with these girls" she said patting Sophia.
Zadina nodded "You can come earlier tomorrow Miss Hebal" he reminded her "But your right Cap'n Alpha that seems like a nice fair system still I hope they don't have to fight each other it would be sad." he said.

Alpha sighed patting Zadina's shoulder "Would you not prefer that all the fights against eachother were out the way quickly? You know it's something thats good to happen if everyone does really well in the quarter finals" she pointed out almost tripping over a row of seats "Personally I think it would be better if all kinds of blade users could compete" he quietly added.
Hebal grinned jumping up and over the seats flapping her arms happily at Yusti "Ooh I get it, a ravager is basically just a flying knight! they could have come up with a better name for it" she giggled wondering what Ivy was now doing inside her bag "I suppose we could go and see some earlier but... we may be out and about tomorrow selling more dresses"

Felina smiled weakly adding a tiny portion of salt to her meal "Yeah I guess so but birthdays aren't a big thing for elves unless it's a milestone year. My coming of age big present was a private boat which I never really use but isn't it nearly your birthday soon? I don't know who I heared it from but I am pretty sure someone told me it was this month"
Satoshi glanced around providing Gil's back with a rub "Ok then I think the nearest esculator is directly around the other side of the arena if I remember correctly. I would do the teleporting up there but I could do with saving that for tomorrow as today has been rather tiring" she yawned stumbling over a crack in the pavement.
Yusti chuckled deciding not to go further into detail about her skills and how they differed to knights "I bet Satoshi wouldn't want you selling dresses all day long if it means you're not going to have fun you know Hebal" she reminded her floating down the steps leading out the arena. "You probably won't get to see me fight over the next few days. I only bother to use my blade when fiend hunting but as you can see theres no fiends in Kunec."

Oassu nodded thoughtfully "I'll be 23 at the end of the month, not really a big date but a birthday all the same still maybe once we've settled down a bit we'll be able to go on that nice big boat of yours" he chuckled finishing his meal.
Gil smiled catching Satoshi and straightening her up "You alright there? If you think it'll tire you out too much tonight we don't need to go out on the town" he said leading her to the escalator.
Mari giggled "I beg to differ" she said indicating Sophia and the now empty bag of pic n mix Ivy was in. "Still you should see if you and Zadina could go and have fun tomorrow Hebal!" she suggested "Take a day off the selling stuff you know?" she said.
Zadina frowned "What do you mean all kinds of blade users? I thought this competition allowed a wide variety of blades and swords besides you still wouldn't be able to compete would you Cap'n Alpha?" he asked.
