Fade to black is useful in a lot of cases, but there's a handful of scenes either written out already or are tentatively going to be written in which I wish I could have done without it. I like pulling on heartstrings in one direction or another; gives 'em a workout. Although I know pretty damn well that some people would get too worked up to keep reading if I did, either because it hit too close to home or it was too visceral.

Although I know pretty damn well that some people would get too worked up to keep reading if I did, either because it hit too close to home or it was too visceral. to be honest, I live for that kind of writing. if I have nightmares for the next few days because my PTSD was triggered, I consider it GOOD writing! xd maybe not emotionally healthy for me.... but definitely good. sweatdrop shock value has it's purpose. this is simply why I like warnings, filters, and the "spoiler" function. =w=
