I just wish my co workers didn't have such one-track minds. People like that will never understand me. It's like they take one look at you, or experience your personality for one day and they automatically stick a permanent label on your forehead. In my case, I'm always dressed up when I go to work(since that is the dress code) and I was automically labeled a "tight a**" or a "brown-noser" since I was merely following the rules of conduct. Then I would focus mainly on my job (fixing the shelves, putting things back in order, and getting numbers/sales). As I did this, I would be extremely quiet and hardly talked to any of my co workers. BAM! I'm labeled as "arrogant". Then last but not least, I have a couple of bad days due to stress at work and at home and I get really cynical towards my co workers because of the way they treat me once or twice and BOOM! I'm labeled as "the a*****e". It makes me sick, and I don't know how much more of this I could possibly take.
Recently however, one in particular incident has been getting to me. We had hired this 18 year old girl a couple of months ago named Heaven. She was really quiet at first and no one bothered talking to her except me. I ended up "breaking the ice" with her and got her to be more comfortable at work with my kindness. I treated her with respect, since she does have a bf after all, and I respected that. I had found that she and I had a lot of stuff in common, and when christmas came along I had bought her a $60 box set of her favorite anime. She hugged me for the gift. She started liking me for awhile. Then suddenly, she started to hang around with my other co workers outside of work. She started to treat me differently. She wouldn't talk to me as much anymore, and when I tried to talk to her, she would give me one-word responses or try to get me to stop talking to her. As for the "particular incident" I had previously mentioned before: She was working with me along with one of my other co workers. His name is Joe. He treated Heaven like crap when she first started and didn't even bother talking to her or hanging out with her until I told him she liked anime. He also didn't bother getting her anything for christmas.
Anyway, so I'm working with these two, Heaven shows up first and doesn't bother conversing with me. Then Joe shows up and she suddenly gets all giddy and talkative with him. Eventually she gets off of work and says her goodbyes. Now get this:
She hugs Joe, not just any hug either, one of those slow hugs that are meaningful. Turns around, looks at me and just says "bye" doesn't even give me a wave.
Yeah....ouch.
Anyway, I've just been pretty ticked off about this for the past couple of days. It's not jealousy or anything like that, I'm just pissed off at the fact that she treats me like crap now despite how friendly I was to her.
Anyway, seems that's 2 rants in a row. Looks like I'm on a role here lol. Perhaps I should make a "venting" thread where members can just rant about the problems in their lives and get positive feedback from each other. What do you guys think?

1) Excellent idea on the venting Thread
2) I know exactly what that feels like to bro. It pretty much happened to me and my group of co workers at the nissan dealership. Nobody would talk to this one girl and i did and introduced her and the whole shabam. And then she just shafted me cuz i had a "Lower Position" than her at work. But yeah it bothered me, but i just put that in the "Smaller things in life that i shouldn't fret over" Category and moved on. Thats all you can really do. Sure she'd going to keep acting like that. But also if it helps, i'd actually confront her about the situation. Usually talking works wonders. So i guess what i'm saying is: Talk to her about this, and if it doesn't really go anywhere positive, just drop it as a lost cause and move on. There's not much other than that.

Girl Advice!
This one's gonna sting boys, but unfortunately, this is usually the case: Girls do NOT like the nice guys. They just don't. Reasons why? Usually, it's weird, and creepy. I'm not used to guys being nice to me, so when they are, I feel like they're doing it for the wrong reasons. Don't be overly chivalrous, you're scary. I don't know why we'd rather you start out treating us like crap, I really don't. But most girls I've met enjoy that s**t. -shrug- If you're nice to a girl, she's going to assume that you like her. And then she automatically won't like you. Because we love the chase. It's much more fun to want something we can't have, and work at getting it. That's not to say you should be a total a*****e, just don't try so hard, cause it's a turn off. But then this is all from my weird perspective which probably won't help any of you.. I've only dated two guys in my life, neither ended happily, and found myself on the other side of the fence completely, if you catch my drift.
SO! As to girls at work, we like that you're nice to us, but it's hard for us to break away from the 'friends' catergory after that.
And sometimes girls (and guys) are just total pricks trying to be part of a certain group, and if you're not in that group, then you're automatically a loser and shouldn't be spoken to. Bleh.
And don't move to the country Lone, it's boring as hell and there's no one here. If you don't like being alone, then you will die here. Because that's all the country is.

hmmm...i guess i just haven't met girls like you keebee haha. i usually find most girls i'm nice to end up liking me. Maybe it's cuz i'm incredibly hot and they just want my bod. but who knows

I agree with Ark.(not on the bod!)..I like nice guys, though a little mystery is nice too.
@Lonewolf- sorry everything is going rough. I felt the same way this past semester at college but Ocarina and Ark are right. Go to College! It a fresh start, believe me I know and Ocarina can agree. It scary but it helps. That and colleges are a good place fo better jobs and a new future!
Also Lonewolf...your not alone! We may not be there phsically but we are there for you. All of us! Sadly things get worst before they get better but they eventually get better..promise...

Alright Relena is offically entered the roleplay...just waiting for the cue from lonewolf before she enters the forest.
btw way, Ocarina was her last contact to the old world....after that, she kept to her kingdom and keep it alive and protected...sending out hunters only when needed. Pretty much the pass 600 years had been keeping her kingdom hidden by the advancements of Civilization. So she going to be a little surprise that old friends still exist.

Looks like everybody here has given their advice except for me. >_>
But anyway, I think Heaven just needed a secure acceptance into the place and luckily for her, you provided it. Once safe, she probably went and got herself comfortable with everybody else and left you behind; to sum it all up, you were just a stepping stone. I don't want you to feel like s**t but this is what I think as a fellow cynical person. =P
As for the first rant, maybe you should go back to college and go find somewhere else to work to start over a new leaf; maybe re-evaluate yourself on what's not working and what is and, if you want to, change it a little to make things a bit easier. Like be more loose in the work place, add a little personality to your work clothes; be a little bit more outgoing and maybe reach a compromise with your parents. But really, patient is the key to all of it, who knows, maybe God will bless you and give you what you need. I don't know the exact situation your going through, but I can kinda relate. It's one of those things that life used to bother me with and I got tired of being covered in s**t so I decided to do something about it; life has been...sort of interesting but it has gotten better.
And Keebee, I'll take note on your advice, maybe it will help out later in the future. >_>;
