Maerua What in the hell did I miss while I was on my trip to the GCD? apparently only alot in two other RPs that our beloved Mexican is in. and he still hasn't found time to correct his post in KGBO. xp

O.O I sure wish I had. but I was mostly in the LD, with a quick and flaming foray into the CB where I encountered a man-hating hypocritical bigot... but mostly the LD, coming home to an old BDSM thread I used to regular at, and joining a Sub-only support thread and guild. smile tell me more about the 18+ site plans! biggrin

Oh god, my room is being invaded by big brown spiders. They're coming in from the cracks between some of the walls my dad built (my room isn't 100% finished yet...) and we can't fix them yet. I don't want a brown recluse nipping me in my sleep and making my leg skin rot like grandma's did... sad Basically they're debating whether or not to launch a sister site or Gaia forum restricted to the 18+ crowd in order to appeal to older folks. Most people inside the thread are hoping for either of these to happen: - Make a site that can have accounts/item/etc from this site ported over - Make restricted forums like Heaven, except filtered by age, and give guilds the option to be 18+ The general opinion over porn and other content is divisive but still leaning toward 'no sexual content'. Roleplaying content rules seem mostly ignored, except when people assume that all 18+ roleplaying is cybering.

I feel like the effort to have an 18+ segment of this site would fail miserably when met by the companies funding GaiaOnline. they are the ones who really want it to be PG-13 and Gaia Staff in general would prefer to cater to an older crowd. as for a sister site, I would totally support that without an item-porting system! O.O I don't mind starting from scratch. I certainly hope the sister site idea gets enough support. it would be awesome to have an adult version of Gaia. emotion_kirakira

Yeah, you pretty much nailed the funding part. I'm kind of split on what I want to happen, and it depends entirely on whether or not the sister site would allow R-rated roleplaying/storytelling. I wouldn't mind the limit on RPing, since I naturally "fade to black" anyway when I RP that stuff. I don't like getting into the details, for personal psychological reasons. besides, sometimes the vulgar just doesn't have as much appeal to me as a classier depiction of expressing raw brutallity. but, I highly doubt that they would make an 18+ allowance and then deny people the right to show explicit sex, violence and language. it ruins the whole point, after all. I'm not scared that they will sensor everything to rediculous scales like that. that said, I am certain that the only way we are gonna get 18+ anything is on a new site. the fat cats have Gaia on a short leash.
