"It's....." She stopped short and just smiled sweetly at him and nodded. "Yes, I have to watch over the Inn....." Her eyes were sad though as she said this, and it obviously wasn't the reason. She looked out the window once more before tearing her eyes away to talk to this man. He looked familiar somehow.
"Forgive me." she started "I'm Kari...I believe I've seen around this place?"

"I am Skyeheart, knight of Draconia and vassel to Lady Angel."
Skyeheart got up and walked over, sitting down next to her.
He could see it in her eyes, after all, he had known quite a few troubled people quite well in RDS. Kari's eyes were just like Ziven's.
"If that's all, then I can take your shift for you."

She smiled, pulling out the seat so he could sit down.
Vassel.....She didn't know that word but she kept quiet.
Getting caught in her lie wasn't such a good thing, but she wasn't sure if he would shun her if he found out. She heaved a sigh.
"It's alright......I can go outside.....Another night....."

Skyeheart looked out at the night sky.
Hmmm....I wonder...
"Is it because it's a certain time of the month?"

She sighed again really not sure if she should say.
"Not really the month.... The year rather....." she smiled weakly and motioned towards the full moon.
"There is a time in the year when the doors between the dead and the living weaken......That is the time where I cannot go outside...."

The dragonewt knight then turned to meet her gaze.
"But that night is three days from now..."

She nodded "I realize that....But as soon as the full moon before Halloween rises I can't do anything until that day....."
she laughed a little "It's sort of complicated....."
Leaning on the table she rested her face on one hand looking thoroughly annoyed about the whole dilemma.

She laughed "Well alright....I don't fully understand it myself but.... My powers are naturally weaker during the last full moon of the month, so I have to be careful. However, for some reason during Hollows eve if I go outside things tend to happen that aren't pleasant to me or anyone around me. Also I seem to have very close to no magic at this time....So I have to be extreamly careful"

She stood up. "Anyhow.....all this has made me very tired..." She motioned to the window indicating that the strain of longing to, but not being able to go outside really did make her tired.
"I should be going now...." she sighed and bowed to Skyeheart "It was good chatting to you...I hope you don't think badly of me now..."
She smiled and waved as she left the room climbing up the stairs to her bed.

Skyeheart went to the door and opened it halfway before looking back one more time.
"I think I'll keep my eye on her for the next few nights."

She didn't wake until late the next afternoon. Strolling around the empty bar she sighed heavily. There was noting to distract her from her painful yearning to be outside. She could hear the whisper of the wind and even the wooden framing of the building calling to her.
If one looked closely they could see that as she paced small trees sprouted then fell back into the floor boards after she had stepped.

"A bit restless, I see," came a voice from directly behind her.
Skyeheart had apparently arrived early and was sitting by the shadowed stalls.
