"Well that "Odd arrow," as you say, is in truth a tool used for training. Each one in made to hold a specific amount of light energy, and when touched by a person who has the gift it will react accordinglt to how much power the person has. Now I will give you a mid level arrow and see if it reacts to your touch, then we can see if you require a smaller or larger arrow." The old priest then went into a seperate room and returned with an arrow that was slightly smaller than the one she had used before, meaning it would be more difficult to get a reaction from it. He then handed it to her.

Edit: "Go ahead, try to get a reaction from it."

Embarrassed, thinking that she showed the priest disrespect, Clover slumped forward slightly in defeat. She had to remind herself why she was there learning the ways of light. Deep inside she felt her powers rejoicing. Obviously the strange orbs would appreciate this added effort. After the priest explained the use of the “odd arrows” as she had earlier phrased them, Clover readied herself for a response from the small object. Taking a deep breath Clover grasped the arrow in her hand. Bits of light fled towards the arrow. With hesistance a light finally form around the arrow in a shape of a bow, like before, but this time was fainter, and flickered steadily.

"Ah it looks like we have found a base reading," the priest said, "I must go prepare for the training, you are dismissed for today, but don't let this easy task cloud your judgment. The training will be much more grim as you progress. No leave me while I prepare."

In the meanwhile Epotheros had already finished having his short conversation with the Emperor, though his overal mood had changed greatly in the last few minutes. Rather than returning to the temple after speaking with him to see how CLover was doing with the training, he decided to return to their room. Epotheros sat on the bed and seemed to gaze off into space while his right foot twitched back and forth with anxiety.

TY spent the night doing as he said he would, but not to the exact dimensions one might think.
He did scout out a safe path, following the trail taken by Epotheros and Clover. He even made sure to secure alternate routes should the original path give out on them, not that he had any reason to beleive it would.
But securing a path to the city nearest the target island didn't seem good enough for him. Crossing the water, he noticed guards posted, keeping watch for intruders he assumed. Slipping past them silently, with nothing more than a slight flicker of shadows, he followied the thread he had planted on Epotheros a while back. TY would appear in the room just long enough for Epotheros to catch a glimpse of him, then he was gone again. TY was just letting him know that they were coming.
The path back to the camp where Larien watched over Tramer's limp body was a quick one. He arrived hours before dawn would rise, and took a watch post in the surrounding shadows, keeping his word not to show up until sunrise.

Bowing her head towards to elder in a gesture of respect, Clover thanked the man and walked back to the room. Along her way she thought of how the smaller arrow had taken so much more energy than her past experience with the ancient objects. Now more than ever she appreciated the situation before her for what it really was. The seriousness laying on this training was a merger of all of the groups past trials up to now. She had to accomplish this feat in order to gain the advantage against Zant, and not for herself but for everyone. Sighing absently she reached the room that had been assigned to Epotheros and herself and opened the door without any real thought. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw sitting on the bed starring at nothing in particular, forgetting that the room before her was his as well. Then she relaxed letting a small spread across her face noticing that his foot was twitching. She asked with a bit of concern, “Is everything alright?”

When Clover returned to the room Epotheros quickly shot up from the bed and stood next to it. "Ty was here," he replied to Clover, "I am suspecting them to arrive in a day or two."

Epotheros' reply was in truth incomplete, being that he did not want to burden Clover with what the Emperor had told him, because it was not her problem directly, but something she had no control over and was likely used as some form of intimidation. Clover though would be able to pry it from Epotheros if she pursued it. Epotheros then grabbed a pillow and a blanket off of the bed and set them on the smooth marble floor and laid his body on the cushy blanket, while wrapping part of it over his sholder while he rested his head on the pillow. "We should rest now, since we are deprived due to all the recent events," he said trying to change the subject, but still reveling his distress by means of his voice and habits.

The smile left her face as Epotheros shot off of the bed and proceeded to set up bedding on the floor. Part of her wanted to protest and tell him that the bed was more than big enough, but then with the previous confessions it wasn’t really appropriate. She bit her tongue and instead brought her attention to his wavering tone and nervous demeanor. Something was wrong. What could it be? “Are you sure you’re alright?” her voice was filled with concern and worry as she still stood near the door.
((Oh no! Eeek. How odd. It doesn’t make much sense. How could you be hacked if nothing odd occurred. Unfortunate indeed. You shouldn’t let it faze you, though. It just a game. Silly hackers value items too much. Grr..))

((I actually feel a lot better now that I know one of my friend is in the top 50 richest gaians with close to 60 million to his name. He said he will buy me some of my items later on after things cool down a bit. Then I could maybe start helping the hundred or so other members of theis guild who have been hacked.))

Epotheros stood up and then sat on the edge of the bed which was closest to where he had set up on the floor before calling Clover to come sit on the bed with him since he did not want to yell out what ever it was he had to say. "It seems that Brutus told the Emperor about when he walked in on us earlier on and saw us together. He acted as if it were some sort of crime, probably because you have the gift and believes you should be protected like some kind of national treasure. He even offered me ten thousand gold bars (about 100 million dollars) to leave the city with out you. When I utterly refused his offer he cursed me about being unfit for humanity and that if I knew the truth about who I was we would both detest each other. I believe that if this is not some sort of farce that maybe I could be from that one civilization that the Sernians were always warring with in the past."

((I think this may be the most Clover has ever voiced aloud. xd ))
Sitting beside Epotheros after being asked to do so, Clover felt apprehensive about what could or would be said. She listened intently with a wilting smile tugging the corners of her lips. Sighing she responded, “Does it really matter? I mean yes we need these people’s aid, but only until the training is over. I don’t really consider myself a Sernian. This place was never my home.” She shook her head and continued, “ What if you are from some civilization that they warred with. They need to let the past lie. Plus there’s no way I’d stay here for more than needed. This place is far too extravagant.” She hoped that her words would ease the concern in Epotheros. It was evident that this all bothered him greatly.

Clover's speach for the most part really did not ease the stress that burdened his mind because those were things that really did not bother him, his fears more revolved around the Emperor not allowing her to leave the city after she was done with the training. How ever, Epotheros did not want to let his fears show and simply motioned her to go to sleep, before he removed himself from the bed and took his place on the floor.

The next morning, Brutus barged in rather earlier to take the two for their early morning meal and to begin Clover's real training. Upon entering the temple the high priest stood in the middle of a large, detailed, golden circle. He then spoke in his rusty voice, "Come here child."

As the sun shone it's bright glare just over the horizon, TY walked into camp to see things condensed and ready to be moved. He called two Grapplers and asked them to carry Tramer's body on a stiff board. He aslo sent the majority of the supplies through a portal so they could be easily retrieved when needed. With that, they headed off, TY leading and not looking back, he knew his Grapplers would follow with Tramer, and was fairly sure that Larien would either stay by Tramer's side or follow just behind.
Travel was quick and smooth as they passed through the woods, and by just after mid-day the waterfront village could be seen in the distance.

Clover walked towards the elder priest. The taste of breakfast was still fresh in her mouth and all she could recall was far from the previous meal. Her mind concentrated on yesterday’s events. Mostly her concerns for Epotheros filled her mind. Was the emperor really biased enough to ask Epotheros to leave without her? Before she wasn’t completely bothered by it, but now her mind was running laps around various scenarios all ending in chaos, whether the past had relevance in the matter or not. She wasn’t sure about anything, nor did she know why Epotheros still seemed uneasy. After years of hiding her emotions, reading others feelings was a fair task.

With an ample amount of effort Clover’s concentration returned to the present and waited in silent determination for training to begin, taking little notice to the golden circle traced on the temples floor.

When Clover stepped into the circle she was instantaniously surrounded by a flash of light, removing her from the temple and sending her to some sort of forrest area. The only person there was the old priest. He stood in the center of the clearing with her as dozens of shadows took the forms of what looked like black, featureless, bipedal jackals. When they appeared the Priest stated, "You must form your bow of light inorder to kill these creatures. It shouldn't be too hard since the air here is charged with the light particals though there is less energy than even that arrow you used yesterday had. Also you need to be carefull because you can still be physically harmed, but then again when your life is in danger you are more likely to draw out you special abilities."

The priest then jumped backwards onto a small rock ledge while the twelve shadows approach Clover, circling her and sizing her up. Not long after one of them charged forward and slashed at her with foot long claws that seemingly appeared out of no where. The others though stood back about thirty feet so they could observe what happened.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Ty and Larien were walking infront of the two graplers and Tramer's body, the sound of something heavy hitting the ground caught their ears. When they turned around a very lanky man with long claw like finger nails, boney fingers, lanky arms, and a steel mask over his face sqauted above the body of Tramer that was now on the grass, the two shadow graplers no where in sight.
"Seems he was no match for the likes of you," the goblin said in a fiendish tone, "Ah let me introduce myself to you, I am Sneebly, Zant's chief assasing and fastest being on the planet. I am also an aquantance of Dericos' when we met several days ago."
