Ume considers this and nods. "Yes, let's. After all, That little hollow is barely a challenge for him. At any rate, why don't we teach that goliath a lesson in manners." She smiles and spits a bala in between the two hollows. "Hey, ugly! Why don't you play with somebody who can be a bigger challenge?"
Ryu grins broadly and charges forward at the large hollow. "Bigger they are, the more fun it is to make - YEEP!" he is cut off by Ume grabbing him by his collar and sitting him down. "Aw, Ume ....."
"Zip it, Ryu. You are not going to get involved until I know what you can do." Ume snaps firmly. She refrains from charging herself, being heavily with child. So, for now, she is prepared to use distance based attacks and her spiritual powers alone. She uses her Gravity Defiance as a barrier from any debris and attacks she can handle. It catches and spits out the earth shards and sand aside as they fly at her.

Yofuke notes Ume staying back and forcing Ryu back, "I'll go down there." Before Ume could say a word, Yofuke runs off closing the gap between him and the large hollow. The hollow keeps its attention on the little hollow for its meal, seeing as the big are spose to eat the little. Yofuke quickly unsheathes his false Zanpaku-tou and slices into one of the large arms on the hollow, "Not today." Ume watches as Yofuke drives off the large hollow. She smiles at the smaller one dashes off to safety and the young arrancar that protected it continuing to defend it. "That's enough, Yofuke! He learned his lesson. Let him be for now. We have more important things to spend our energies on. Such as training." She smiles and shows him how to rip a garganta. "Its a fairly simple process." she explains as she shows him this.
Ryu grins and says, "I can do gonzui. See?" He sucks souls towards himself and promptly gets smacked by Ume. He grins at her and says, "Aww, I wasn't gonna eat them. I was just showing him how to do it."
"Not around me, Ryu. You know I don't like it. For goodness sake, there are better things to eat than souls, any way." She looks away and then goes back to training.

Yofuke flings the hollow's blood from his zanpaku-tou and resheathes it before walking back to Ume and Ryu. He then watches as Ume rips open a Garganta, though having no idea where it leads. Yofuke examines the portal and nods, "So this is how we travel to Earth isn't it?" He looks down to Ryu and sees the young looking Arrancar suckin in souls, "That is Gonzui? Its a good thing to show off here, seeing as using it on Earth would cause casaulties...the technique should only work on the souls of the living, so that means Hollows and Shinigami are unaffected." Yofuke blinks and rubs his head, "How did I know that from seeing the technique only once...Is that the power of an Arrancar?"Quote: Word CountYofuke: 2,913 words. Ume growls deeply at the scent of blood, but she suppresses her inner reaction. Thankfully, Yufuke had the sense to clean his blade before coming back. "Well, that is quite true. It is better to do that here where it is rare to have a raw soul or living human near to injure or devour." She yawns a jaw cracking yawn and rubs her belly. Deciding she should rest, she sits down in the air as she likes to do and just rests for a bit.
Ryu looks at Yufuke and grins. Drawing his own false zanpakutou, he begins to practice a little with his blade. "This thing, I could get used to. It feels so light after swinging my bone club!" He whirls this way and that in imitation of sword play he has watched before.

Ahnmik waited with reptilian patience for the commotion to stop. It had been noisy outside his lair for some time and during that time he hadn't wandered far from its safety, hunting close to home. This strange new feeling that continued to grow inside him had urged him to investigate the noise, but his snake sensibilities kept him from going much farther than one dune away from his den. He didn't have words for curiosity and boredom. He may have heard his human caretakers speak them but they had never meant anything.
But now he found this odd urge to investigate, explore, seek stimulating new experiences. It confused and upset him and sometimes for hours on end he would simply slither around his lair.
It was now much bigger, using the time he didn't want to go outside to keep digging. It had several chambers, a few he used for the facsimile of sleep and a few others he used for hordes. One had interesting bits of those crystalline growths., another had various hollow masks he'd found. The urge to collect these things was also new to him but he did it anyway as it did not hamper his survival instinct like the other urges have.
When the noises finally stopped, he rose out of his lair and looked around. It looked the same. And he was content with that.

Time passed. It was impossible to tell how much time. All times were the same here. The moon went by, it waxed, it waned, but other than that there was nothing. No day, or seasons to speak of. Just the endless night.
Ahnmik noticed that he had steadily been getting bigger and stronger the more he consumed. He moved on to larger hollows, some animal hollows that had been able to gain a foothold only to lose it to the giant snake, or some of the weaker human souls.
He never lost his Egyptian grace and beauty though. So while he had gotten bigger, he never became monstrous. Rather, he seemed to become more handsome and stunning and it was easier to hypnotize the human souls as he grew in power. His mask was slightly more humanoid and very fetching, he torso became more sculpted and attractive.
He didn't know quite what was happening, but that didn't dissuade him one bit. He just kept eating as his hunger demanded and rested on his horde when it didn't.

Yofuke nods at Ume's comment before his eyes fix on the smaller Arrancar swinging about his sword. He grabs the tip of the blade and shakes his head slowly, "I'd advise against traing with that here. With Ume-chan and myself so close would you rest harming us?" Yofuke sniffs the air and looks about the wind blown dessert dunes then to the full moon in the black starless sky, "Ume-chan....does something seem odd to you?"Quote: Word CountYofuke: 2,913 words. She sniffs the air and looks around. "Nothing of any real threat that I can sense. Why?" She rubs her pregnant belly and wonders how long Shin will be gone. Sighing, she shrugs and says, "We best get going soon. The more annoying base level hollows like to come out at night." She looks down at Ryu and shakes her head at his antics. "Ryu, don't cut your own head off with your shiny new zanpakutou ..."
Ryu smirks as he twirls it around the way he does with his bone club. He is being far more graceful than he usually is. "Got it handled, Ume-dono." He makes slicing motions and stabbing jabs at nothing in particular. "I just want to practice with this thing and figure out how to make it work and what it does."

Yofuke relaxes as Ume says it nothing of a threat, "It most of been those low level hollows Gathering up that I sensed." He steps back and watches Ryu practice using the zanpaku-tou. After a few moments rest, Yofuke craps his knuckles and glances around, "Lets me try something..." A ball of red energy forms in his hand as he turns to face the rocks that he, Hoku, and Ryu used bala on. He then fires the large red blast and breaks the rock formation up.

Ume watches, yawning as she stretches. She is feeling drained from her pregnancy. "Yofuke, Ryu, enough for the day, please. I need to go home. Any rate, besides being late, if we don't go back to the den often enough, some other hollow may try to take it over." She picks both up and flies back to the den using her Gravity Defiance.
Ryu is about to protest, but then sighs as he is lifted up by the deceptively strong female arrancar. It is fairly useless to debate with her on these things. Besides, he is fairly certain that it would be wise to stay on her good side while she is pregnant like this. Especially with her ever broadening diet. "You'll get used to this Yofuke."

Yofuke blinks as the female hollow picks him up, true he was a young hollow, but he was also still the high of the average full grown male human. Smartly, he decides not to question it as he looks over to Ryu., "She...does this a lot?" Yofuke closes his eyes as he relaxes and accepts his fate will Ume flew back to to the den, after all he hated heights, and even worse would hate to say something Ume would drop him for. Zekkai's stood up from his nap in the sand. He scrathed his face and slid his hand over the other half of his face which had the mask on it. zekkai got to all four feet and shook his head a little and sighed. "Eh... Another day, another time I'll go to sleep hungry." Muttered zekkai as he started to run around for his daily exercise and nearly rammed himself into another Hollow, only to hop to the side and continued running. But he was suddenly pulled back hard on his tail and flew backwards, sliding to a stop in front of the hollow he nearly hit. "Hey you. If your blind, you shouldn't go running about and risk running into another Hollow." Said the monstrosity as it stared at him. Zekkai looked at the hollow and laughed. "you fool, your not even considered to be half a hollow" zekkai said on a chuckle. he shot blades out of his forearm and they curved over his fist. "i may not look like much, but im much more than you. he turned and decided to ignore th insolent hollow.
he needed to learn the technique that would allow him to escape to earth whenever he needed to. he ran at the hollow and threw out his arm. the blades detached themselves from his arm and with the enemy he used to throw out his arm, they went flying at the hollow. the hollow dodged two but the last one got caught in its large chest. the hollow back up a bit and pulled the blade out himself. he laughed and saidcome fight me when your stronger. it felt like a fly just hit me". the hollo stood in its hind legs and walked away. zekkai sighed and went back to what h e was doing. "gargantua, ay? ill get it done". With that in mind, his thoughts began to wander to the only memory he had from before he had developed into a full-fledged Hollow.
the girl who he had fallen in love with. that girl who had set his soul on fire. he shook off those thoughts and sighed. he was now and forever a hollow and he might as well live with it. he tried to focus. garganta. he focused his reiatsu and tried to open a rift. nothing relally happened and he looked at the flowing sands. yes, of course this would be a while. he tried again, this time with more focus. the space infront of him began to morph and move untila small whole opened up. it wasnt large enough so he decided to try again. zekkai was walking in the inbetween. He had to go get something before he started to train. zekkai had barely turned into a Hollow so he had never seen one. A hollow had appeared from behind him and secretly attacked him. He then went through a long and painful phase trying to get from the hollow state. He had to much hatred in him so he didn't make it.
zekkai had been a hollow since then and was looking forward to being able to find a new hollow to talk to. zekkkai looked at the sky and could feel the cold breeze that hadn't came in a long time. He continued looking at the pitch black sky. He closed his eyes and flashabacks began to come to him. He then saw hollows falling out of the sky in holes. There were hollows everywhere continuously to come. zekkkai was wondering why so many hollows were coming out of the sky. It was like somebody had something that was attracting them. He knew that there wasn't a shinigami that was that powerful to attracts more that fifty hollows. It must've been some kind of top secret item or an illegal item that was stolen. he lkept letting his mind wander.he looked at the sky. he couldnt tell time from inside hueco mundo but he knew he needed to hurry up and master this technique. He was goignt o try again, and this time, he would master it for sure. he attempted to open up yet another rift and finnaly, one opened. it was large and just the right size. he chuckled evily and jumped through it, singing "a hunting hollows go, a hunting hollows go, i'll kill them all, and they will fall, a hunting hollows go".
A rift re opened and zekkai walked through. he looked about and sighed lightly. "i need to learn bala". the rift closed and he tried charging spiritual energy to his hand. He yelled out the word bala and nothing happened really. the shot was charged and sent into some random direction. he tried again, this time, focusing hard. he hardened the spritual energy around his fist and sent the bullet flying. it made impact with hard force, but still it wasnt as strong as it could be. he sighed a bit and sank to his knees. "training is hard. i just wonder how people get through it" he said with half a laugh as he stretched and stood back up. he needed some attacks, so he could not fail. he focused again. "bala!" he yelled and heard his voice echo a bit. the spritual pressure around his hand hardened and he threw it as hard as he could. i slammend against the ground with great force and a grin slide over his face. "i just mastered bala!" he yelled he looked around and decided to go hunting. he opened a rift to earth. "lets see what fresh meat i can find there" he whispered as he jumped through it and it closed behind him.
