Flannery turned slowly to face Mike, and sighed. "That was... interesting," she said, glancing at the paper that had Dante's number scribbled on it. "Oh, it's you," she said suddenly, looking at Mike as though she only just realized he was standing there. "Sorry," she chuckled lightly, and looked at the ground. Allegra glanced up at the gym leader, and bumped her fuzzy pink head against her chin, giving a soft meow.

Mitsu stood up recalling the blue fire Pokemon. After taking a glance forwards Mitsu spotted a trainer. "Hey, could I interest you in a battle?" she said before Mitsu had a chance to say anything. "It was just what I was looking for," Mitsu grinned.
"The name's Lauren, how about we each use two Pokemon, and why not make it a double battle?" Lauren suggested.
"Perfect."
"All right then, I choose you Torchic and Ninetails!"
"C'mon on out Haku and Nightmare!"
Simultaneously all four Pokemon burst out onto the battle field. A Gyrados, Horsea, Torchic and a Ninetails.

A look of disgust swept over Mike as he saw the Skitty. Quickly covering it up, he cleared his throat. "So, how about that battle? I'm starting to get really antsy." The boy was visably shaking, clearly ready to get his sixth badge. He looked down at Napalm, wishing he was just a little stronger. "Sorry little buddy, maybe next fight."
The baby Pokemon stared blankly at his trainer, a signature bit of drool dripping from his mouth.

"What was that look for?" Flannery asked, tilting her head. "You don't like small, cute, pink Pokemon or something?" She laughed and patted Allegra's head, unaware of the death-glare Mike was receiving from the Skitty. "Oh yeah, the gym battle," she said, her voice giving the slightest hint of uneasiness. For a split second she considered just giving him the badge, but quickly dismissed the thought. "Yeah, sure."

"That's just what I wanted to hear!" Mike jumped up, burying the growing feeling of nervousness inside of him. You can do this. He reassured himself, clenching a fist. "Race you there!" With that, the boy took off, his Pokemon waddling behind him.

"Nightmare make sure you keep an eye out for Haku all right? He's still young," Mitsu instructed. The Gyrados nodded his head awaiting the next command. "Why don't we get this party started then?" Lauren smirked. "Torchic use Peck on the Horsea and Ninetails use Quick Attack!" Both Fire Pokemon charged towards the Horsea ready to attack. Making sure to keep his word Nightmare's tail rushed inbetween the two sending the Fire Pokemon running into the Gyrados. Nightmare gave a roar before brushing the two Pokemon away with it's massive tail.
"Nice try, but now it's our turn. Nightmare Surf! Haku use your Surf as well!" Mitsu directed. Haku concentrated a bit before summoning it's first wave and sending it towards Lauren's Pokemon. Nightmare's wave dwarfed Haku's adding a bit more power to thier combined attack. The wave of water crashed upon the Ninetails's head, who managed to survive the attack. The Torchic on the other hand wasn't as lucky. It seemed ready to faint. It was holding onto the last bit of energy it had.

Kasiya released the four Pokemon that were with her, and after tossing her belt and towel onto a nearby patio chair, and she slowly submersed herself into the hot water. "Oh wow," she giggled, finding a deep spot and relaxing, letting the hot water come up to her neck. "It feels so amazing in here!"
Ariel had sniffed at the water before she climbed in too, and she seemed to be enjoying it, although the Vaporeon preffered icy water to this. She swam over and took up a spot near Kasiya. The young trainer felt her Raichu's long tail wrap around her head as she leaned over to inspect the water. After a few moments of thought, Shocker sat on the edge, letting her feet dangle in the water. Not surprisingly, Digger had chosen to curl up by a pile of warm rocks, while Hiro, the almighty Arcanine peered over the edge, lying on his belly. He dipped a paw in and shuddered, looking at Kasiya in disapproval and gave a low whine.
"What?" Kasiya asked, looking at him. Hiro's ears drooped, and he cast his glance at the water, then back to his trainer. "Don't tell me it's too cold for you!" The large Pokemon barked loudly, before he came over and lied down beside her, content to keep watch.

"I'm so not running all the way there," Flannery told Allie, who gave her an innocent smile. "Glad you agree," she laughed, and walked at a leisurely pace back towards her gym. "It's not like he can get in without me and the key," she nodded, continuing to talk to the little Skitty. Allie meowed in agreement, looking around the town as the two walked.

"Aw, I forgot I can't get in without Flannery's key!" Mike whined after reveling in his victory. "At least I beat her though." He sat down, amused at his quick feet, tapping in expectation of a grand battle.
"This is going to be a good fight, I'll show Arnold that I've got the guts to show Flannery that I'm strong." He rose to his feet, a determined look across his face.
"Maybe then she will love me as I do her!" With that last bit being a bit overzealous, his face turned red as he spotted Flannery no more than a few hundred feet away. He sat down and hugged his knees, Certain that she had heard him.

"You're welcome." Ryka replied, smiling at Jaeshan. She jumped a bit when his Pokenav rang. "Slateport? Where's that?" Ryka asked, overhearing Jaeshan's muttering. She fiddled with the cherry blossom in her hair again, some of the rosy petals starting to wilt.

"Continuouse String shot! Cover this area in your web Spinarak!" Spinarak Began to spinn around as she shot string after string of silk which stuck fast to branches, rocks, the floor, everything all around. Within minuts, the three of them were compleatly surrounded by a web of silk. Spinarak fell from exhaustion, having used up a lot of energy creating all that string. Crenu picked her up and put her on his shoulder. "Good job Spinarak, you can take a litttle break now. Alright Larvitar, your turn. Front and center!" Larvitar jumped out infront of Shiro and looked ready for anything.

She wasn't sure how much time had passed, but as Kasiya opened her eyes, things seemed slighlty different. The sun had traveled quite aways across the sky, signalling that at least a few hours had passed. She looked around, feeling groggy as she stood up and got out of the water, reaching over and grabbing her towel from the chair. "That was nice," she said, sighing happily as she wrung a ton of water from her lengthy hair. "Come on guys, we gotta go," she called to her Pokemon, and they eagerly responded, following after her as she walked. She dried herself off, changed back into her regular clothes, recalling her party one by one as she made her way back out into the main room of the Pokemon Center. She took back Fang's Pokeball, and thanked the nurse, walking outside. "We should find where Flannery and Allegra have gone," she said, clicking the button on the Pokeball to enlarge it, then once again to release the green Crobat. Fang appeared before her, looking rather depressed and sad. He flapped his wings a few times before he landed on the ground before her, looking weak and tired. "What's wrong, Fang?" she asked, bending down to get a better look at him. The Crobat screeched loudly, as particles of white energy appeared around him, like a swarm of fireflies. They continued to engulf him until Kasiya could no longer look at him directly. "Fang!?" she called, covering her eyes to hide them from the blinding light. A chime-like tone sounded, and Kasiya moved her hands. "...Fang...? What's happened?" she asked, tears forming in her eyes as she stared at her Pokemon in awe. Fang had devolved into a Golbat.

"No! Fang!" Kasiya cried, jumping to her feet, completely unaware of her surroundings as she lost her footing on the slippery floor beneath her, and went underwater, dragging a shocked - to say the very least - Raichu under with her. Shocker's tail had still been wrapped around her head, and the electric Pokemon had dozed off at the side of the spring until she'd been pulled underwater with her trainer. Shocker let out a terrified squeal (which came out as a gurgling bubble) and proceeded to loose a blast of electricity, so bright it lit up the sky and immediate area around them with a blinding flash. Satisfied that her revenge had been served, Shocker pulled herself up and back onto the patio, her ears flat and one eye twitching angrily. A second or so later, Kasiya popped up out of the water, coughing and sputtering.
"I'm.... sorry..." she managed to choke out. "I had a bad dream. Fang turned back into a Golbat." She made her way back over to the edge of the spring, and rested her head on Hiro's massive paw. The Arcanine gave a sympathetic whine, and nuzzled her head, small waves of static electricity still coursing over the area.

"All right!" Mitsu cheered. "Take out the Torchic Haku. Use Bubble!" Haku, the adorable blue seahorse, jumped in blowing several bubbles towards the Torchic. "Ninetails counter with a Quick Attack!" Lauren replied hastily. The fox Pokemon dashed through the bubbles, hardly phasing it at all, and rammed itself hard into Haku. The attack did quite a bit of damage, probably due to the level and battle experience difference between the two Pokemon.
Mitsu clenched her teeth a bit. "Nightmare use Roar and Haku try Bubble again!"Mitsu would make sure that Haku was he one who would be victorious against the two smaller Pokemon. "Use Confuse Ray on the Gyrados! Torchic Scratch!" Haku moved in a bit closer blowing bubbles at the fire bird. Nightmare unleashed a loud and powerful Roar just before the effects of confusion had settled in. The intimadating roar caused the Torchic to freeze up and take every hit of Haku's water attack. The Torchic fainted soon after, being carried back into the Pokeball in a beam of red light. "Nice team work you two!" Mitsu complimented.

"Larvitar, use Sand Storm!" Crenu pulled off his coat and pulled it over his head, covering his face as well as Spinarak who was on his shoulder. As he got low to the ground, Larvitar began to whip up a vortex of sand that echoed as it roared. The wind tore through the peace of the forest clearing and started to wear away at the webb. "Come on Larvitar, you can do it! More power!" Larvitar pu tmore and more power into his sandstorm, the cyclone that spun around him growing in diameter as it spread further. The silk continued to be eaten away as it shook violently in the sandstorm and surley strands began to snap. Though the weaker strands broke, the stronger strands held strong. "Don't spread it out Larvitar, concentrate it!" The sandstorm became narrower as Larvitar's eyes glew with power. The storm became a much narrower dril like stream that began to circulate around into the web, teraring through them like paper. When all the webs were destroyed, the storm died down adn Larvitar came back into view. He collapsed onto knees panting as Crenu got up and unwrapped himself from his jacket. He walked over to Larvitar and started to pet him, smiling. "Good job Larvitar, good job."
