When he heard his name, Mizaku wanted to smile, but he didn't... Last time he did Jendayi didn't look like she aproved of it, so his face stayed the same. He looked at the ground and cleared his throat nervously.

"Well--... well I've been alone... for a long time... I--.. I just wanted to talk to someone," he admitted, glancing back up at her unable to hold back a worried smile, "Really, I don't want to cause trouble." Mizaku tried not to smile any longer and he turned his view back to the dirt beneath his feet.

Layla watched the exchange from the river's edge, her body appearing less and less unnerved and defensive. She soon lay herself on the grass there, some few feet from Jendayi, who she still did not entirely trust, but her eyes remained on the new comer, observing his movement, weighing his level of threat to her. Finding him to be of little threat her deep purple eyes released the serious glare she'd held.

Though she wouldn't speak, nor go anywhere near the trees as a protective measure, she did however give an accepting nod to the leopard before turning her back to him and facing Maji. She dipped her front paws into the cool waters, having never really loved or hated the water Layla would simply avoid most contact with it, however this was an interesting day and she felt the need to cool herself a touch.

The leopard eased slightly, and slowly his tail began to flick up and down. His feet padded against the ground as stepped over to Jendayi with an uneasy grin. He tilted his head and let his ears swivel forwards.
"That's... nice to know," replied the spotted cat, still with his worried smile. He reverted his pale eyes to Layla and wondered what she could be thinking... Mizaku admired her beautiful ebony coat, he had always wished he would have been born with black fur...

His view shifted to Maji, and he wasn't sure what to think. Males usually tended to be more aggressive than females, and he really was not sure if he should get too close. For now, he'd just stay by Jendayi.

When he heard her mention a waterfall, Mizaku tried to smile more easily. A waterfall? He hadn't seen one of those since he was just a cub.

Mizaku nodded, watching the silvery lioness with a bright grin. Going to see a waterfall sounded like fun! And more importantly, it seemed as if he was trusted enough to come along. That was definitely a good thing, and the tan leopard was very happy about it.

"Oh, I don't doubt that it's pretty, Jendayi..." he said, still smiling -and glad to be able to say her name-, "Waterfalls are very beautiful, even the small ones." Mizaku assumed that he would be coming with her to see it, and he hopped to the waters edge for a quick drink.

After he finished his drink, Mizaku shook the remaining water form his lips and turned to face Jendayi. He stared for a moment, watching carefully. Then bounded closer and crouched so his head was level with hers. His sharp-toothed smile was still bright as sunshine, and his eyes were shining like the moon. With a c**k of the leopard's head and twitch of his ears, he asked an excited "Rrrrready?"

Mizaku's eyes scanned the river bank, and all over the water. He took a last look at the beautiful black lion, the blue-ish colored male: Maji, and then hopped after Jendayi with eagerness.
"Alright!" he exclaimed happily, "This is so exciting! Thank you, Jendayi!" There was a sort of shimmer in his voice when he said her name... it was a very lovely name... He liked saying it ((^^)). The young leopard's tail was now waving freely behind him, and all traces of the uneasiness he had before had vanished.
