A small black form scrambled through the sand. The sun glinting oddly off of it's black pelt. Trying to run through the snad, the small form became tired and stopped, panting heavily. In it's pause, the form was able to be identified as a small male lion cub. If one mored closer they'd noticed, it's ragged appearance. It's ribs sticking out sharply in contrast to his body. They'd also notice the scars that littered the small male's form. One in particular stood out, as it went straight through the golden colored left eye that seemed to glow. Oddly enough the right eye was a bright silver color seeming to glow as well. Strange ruin like markings covered the small cub's back fading from gold to silver in color. Panting, the cub peered about himself with wild eyes.

Wokovu settled himself atop the dune to wait, peering back to see his mother slowly trudging up. He flexed his claws into the sand idly staring about the vast amount of yellow and golds...and.. black? A curious look was given as he leaned foreward to focus on whatever the black may have been. A.. cub?!
He paused to glance around it.. no sign of a mother. Maybe it was lost. Or hurt.. Poor thing! Now any normal lion stuffed with horomones would have killed the cub on the spot. But Wokovu was different. Wokovu was raised by a fennec fox. The adolesent moved to run down the dune, not directly at the cub. He slowed to a stop at the bottum, far ahead of his small mother as he turned to trod to the cub.
He slowed as he neared him, keeping a fairly safe distance. He didn't want to scare him afterall. "Hi there." he gave a large fangy smile as he plopped his rear down. "What're you doing out here?"

Kajji tensed at the sound of the voice. Eyeing the male nervously, he let out a soft growl. Ears pinned back slightly, Kajji took a small step backwards. His eyes filled with an odd haunted look which mingled with his uneasiness. He remianed silent, except for that soft growl.

Wokovu blinked cluelessly. Ears flicking once then going back to their perked position. The innocence from his still played on his face showing that he was truely a cub at heart. The strange feeling of being watched shot through him... There it was again. He was getting that more and more often.
Like allways he ignored it. "You look hungry..." he noted cocking his head ot the side "Maybe i can get you some food? Mum's the best bug catcher in the world She taught me everything she knows." he puffed out his chest proudly.

A pained hungered expression filled his eyes at the thought to food. Letting out a soft keening mewl, he slowly began to approach the male. Hunger over-ruling his instincts to run. "food?" He asked in a soft, innocent voice.

He puffed out his chest even more, holding his head high "Yep! Its hard to get food int he desert, but me n mum are the best." He paused to glance around the area, tail shifting behind him. Hm...Nothing.. really. "We know a good place nearby." pushing himself up to his paws the golden lion looked over his sholder, trying to spot the fox.
Yakuti panted a bit as she reached hte top of the dune... Great. Where'd her "son" run off now? She squinted in teh bright light of the sun.. Arg she wasn't made for this. Spotting what looked to be his figure and some other thing in her blurring vision she slowly made her way to it.

He stopped just next to the golden lion. His mind clearly on the food he would hopefully be getting. Shaking the sand from his fur, he stared about the sand. Spotting the odd creature approaching, he looked up towards the lion. "food?" he asked, thinking that the fox was the food.

Wokovu blinked, looking at his fox of a mom. Food? Why would anyone eat her? Well.. everyone sure tried to but he thought they were just dumb. "No thats my mom." he smiled happilly. "I'm Wokovu, and my mom is Yakuti."
Yakuti blinked, edging up to the two. A cub? Oh god not again. "Hello.." she fidgeted a bit, ears folding back against her head. Cubs didn't pose as much of a threat.. but she could hardly see, and it made her nervious.
The lion turned to his "mom" smiling "It's okay. he's just hungry. I told him I'd get him some food." With that he glanced around, moving to trod across the sand wanting to get there as fast as possible. No use dodling when someones hungry.
Yakuti blinked... Hospitality was something you shouldn't find in the desert. But her son was differet.. probably her fault. Oh well. She cautiously moved around the cub to follow.

He cocked his head slightly to the left. Eyeing the fox curiously before scrambling after the lion. Traveling through the sand sure was hard work. At least he thought it was. Panting slightly in the heat Kajji padded after him.

Wokovu went for a bit, before pausing to look at his two followers. The fact he had much longer strides finally hitting him. He fave a thoughtful frown before smiling. "Who wants a ride?" he kneeled to the ground a bit so his mom and the cub could hop on, like Mwali had done when he was a cub and they travled to the green land of golden lions.

He blinked, slightly confused but climbed up none the less. Balancing carefully on the back of the lion, he panted softly. He didn't like the warmth that this area brought to him.

Wokovu waited til yakuti climed on as well, moving slowly enough for the two to stay on but still faster than they had been going. The heat never phased him too much, his light thin fur and thick pads on his feet made him perfect for the desert. Though he still missed that green land he had visted so long ago. It seeme dlike a distant dream now.
It wasn't too long before he neared a small oasis. consisting of a tree or two, and a tiny pool of almost dried up water. It was easy to tell the oasis was dieing, but atleast it was still here. He slowed, lurking into the fairly shaded area kneeling for the two to get off while his ears flicked around for any signs of prey.

Tumbling off the back of Wokovu, Kajji landed with a soft thud in the shade. Shaking his head slightly, he climbed to his feet. Staring about the oasis, he scrambled towards the small amount of water. Crouching over it he began to drink quickly, relishing in the coolness that it brought.

Wokovu eyed the water as the two left his back, tongue moving across his lips as he realized just how dry his mouth was. But.. no time for that. He slinked off, staring around the base of the tree. His head tilted at the rock paw slowly moving to flip it, other paw landing with a loud thud on the ground. He slowly moved the paw, making sure the beetle had indeed died. Yep! He was victorious. He carefully picked the beetle up with his teeth, moving next to the cub by the water to drop it off and head back to dig up some more.

Looking up from the water, he eyed the beetle for a brief second before snaping it up. Barely chewing it he ate it as fast as he possibly could without chocking on it. Scrambling after Wokovu, he looked around for more.
