Hell... Zell thought the knight was talking about taking Maryline to a closet for some clothes; not him for, well, the night or whatever. Then he nearly forgot everything as he leaned his face slightly into her touch. His eyes very nearly lidded but Zell could not release Maryline's vivid blues. They did slightly close with the fainest of nods at her whisper. For once, hearing what was said and what wasn't. He did not get how telling and separating was any better... but he trusted Maryline. Ignoring Sir Mujaki for just a moment more Zell turned his head and ever so lightly kissed the fingertips that had been at his jaw. "As you wish."

The words soft, faint, & slightly troubled yet so full of emotion & love. A sigh and Zell started to rise to his feet, lightly touching a golden curl that came close enough in the process. He didn't even know if he could kiss her. Then it didn't matter. The bell he had been waiting for earlier chimed and Zell kissed her. Not like before, but a sweet and loving goodnight kiss.

He finished standing, gave one last look at Maryline before turning to Mujaki and grinning almost nervously and taking a step to the door. "A'right then, Sir Mujaki. Let's do this. Princess has spoken." His attempt at levity fell a little short then almost faded all together seeing again the look on Maryline's face. Zell ached, longed, itched, to envelope her in his arms. But he couldn't. So he stepped again to the door, waiting and watching Mujaki after he could literally tear his eyes from the woman he loved.

OOC: >>closes lips, puffs out cheeks and wacks with a nearby book<< HEY! Stop that. Zell has had PLENTY of opertunities to change this! Back when Mujaki suggested he go, Zell could have said no. Zell could have said something when Mujaki asked if they had slept together, maybe something along the lines of him not needing to know, notice how not once in the conversation with Mujaki has the subject of love come up, for all the knight knows, Zell raped her; of course its going to be for safety reasons! Could have introduced himself, could have actually talked to Mujaki so he wouldn't see his princess just with some random guy. I was actually being good, and thinking about holding off 'lines runaway attempt because of all thats happening in the castle and she doesn't want to leave him all alone in this. Before Mujaki he would have woken up in her old bed, alone. So you know what, I've been TRYING. A knight deeply in love, has just found his princess, the most influential woman in the world as the heir to Dreia, near naked in a bed with a man he has never met, never seen before. I even made Mujaki bring up the seperation because I had expected Zell to say no and stop this, since you know just as well as I that Maryline would say go.

Hell...now I don't even feel like posting. Maybe I'll edit it in later today.

((*faceplants* I'ma dork... really. There are some times I should just not try to RP... 'cause all night... after I went to sleep right after posting this Zell's yelling in my head he doesn't wanna leave. So... an amendium? ^_^ *was actually half hoping you hadn't seen yet 'cause was thinking of adding it on anyway... hehheh*))

His resolve was short-lived however. Zell was used to fighting and striving for what he wanted and this was not what he wanted. "This is so stupid!"

Suddenly he was spinning, getting back to Maryline even if that meant shoving past the knight to pull her with almost fierce tenderness into his arms. "I'm no good with this, trying to say the expected thing. Never have been. But I can't leave you, 'Line! Not when neither of us want that!" It was as if no one else was there as Zell buried his face in her golden hair. "Line I love you... I can't go!"

The act he had been trying to portray thinking that's what he should do was gone. Now he was just himself and feeling more comfortable in that at least.

OOC: >>Sighs<< Yeah yeah. Whatever. >>Rubs temples<<

BIC: >>Such a sweet...gentle man Zell was, her kissed hand fluttering down to her lap as he stood. Tonight she would sleep alone...something she had not done for over a month...A bell chimed. He wouldn-Her heart gave a little skip as she felt them, soft, warm...his lips meltingly against hers. Her face flushed crimson to her hairline as her heart raced as if it was their first. He was gone then, stepping away to leave her blushing on the mattress, clinging to the blanket around her<< May you wake...to see the sunrise Sir Dincht, Sir Mujaki. >>One second...two...three...four. 'This is so stupid!' Her head snapped up fully to lock on Zell, just catching the end of his spin for him to whip back over to her, whether she liked it or not. One gasp, and she was in his arms, body taunt as she looked wordlessly up at Mujaki. His face...shocked, pained, confused and frantic<< Z-zell... >>She whispered, her face still a bright crimson. His nose brushed against her scalp, burying itself in her unbound curls. Zell. Slowly she relaxed, and reached up to touch his cheek again. Little, tiny touches, as she did when in public<< I called your bluff. >>Tell him what she wanted and he'll do it in a heartbeat. Only if he wanted to. Her fingertips slid up to gently comb through his hair; soothing<< What am I to do with you Zell? >>He exhaled softly, and nodded. As it should. Princess and...man being in the same bed. Unheard of-He KISSED her! The male turned before he could lose grip of the growing anger within<< As he watch your soul, Princess Sang. Follow this way... >>'This is so stupid!' What? He turned, eyes widening as the blonde all but ran to the delicate female on the bed<< Do not touch her! >>He strided over to the bed, the hairs on the back of his neck standing on end. The kiss replayed again in his head as he reached out. He touched her! Many a time he himself had done so...but this was Maryline. He reached for Zells shoulder to yank him back...the hand fell right through. He stumbled and crashed through zell, maryline, and the bed to lay upon the ground. He instantly scrambled up to stumble away from them, his heart racing<< Parfay! What glamour...what...I...Princess?

((*huggles* I'm sorry? *sweatdrops* I'd forgotten how much fun fevers were...))

Bluff? Not really. What she wanted... not what they should do. Couldn't his woman-princess ever be honest with him in front of others about what she wanted? Hyne, but her fingertips were soothing. Too soothing. Zell felt his whole body melting at their touch and a soft sob rise in his chest. Two hot tears fell into her hair as Zell shook his head to indicate an 'I don't know' response to her question... just before he turned to blink at Mujaki with his angry words -so like the same he himself had said to the modern day Mujaki when last they met- then yelped as the knight fell through them.

"Dude! Mujaki I'm sorry! I... wait. You can't touch us? oh man... aw jeez... And that's how you got through the door..." Zell chuckled almost nervously, shaking his head slightly, tears still in his hazel-blue eyes. "Aw man... I've no idea how to explain things to ya -even the things I know. And I can only guess why you fell through the furniture 'cause for all intents and purposes ya should be on phase with it..." his tenor voice fell off and Zell chuckled again, this time flashing his let's be friends smile. "Chill. I think we got off on the wrong foot. again. Let's try this again, 'kay. Zell. Zell Dincht. Question is... can ya touch us if you're not all in rightous anger?" Zell held out his right hand for a friendly shake. "I hope so. Ya know? I wonder how ya didn't fall through the floor too if ya fell through the bed."

>>Why couldn't she ever be honest with him infront of others about what she wanted? An indulgance she was refused. It wasn't about what she wanted...it was about what she had to do. She just wanted-Her gaze snapped back up to Mujaki, sharply focusing on the male as he stormed his way over<< Sir Mujaki desis-tah! >>She jumped as the fistfighter yelped, instinctively clinging onto Zell for protection. She watched the silverhaired male scurry back with a mixture of surprise and dread. What...could they tell him now? Slowly, carefully, Maryline detatched herself from the fistfighter and subtly rearranged the sheets around her<< seldom...does he knocks upon my door, and lay upon my bed, Sir Dincht. >>She spoke softly, slipping the fistfighter back into full title. They still were infront of a high ranking man, memory nor not<< I...I do not...understand m'lady... >>What was going on, or a good handlful of the other males words. What was 'sorry'? What was a jeez? Was it something like...cheese? But slowly, he calmed, adjusting to the situation again<< Mujaki Lutar Shade... >>He stared at the offered limb, confused at it. His golden eyes flicked back up at Zell before reaching out to at least touch the offered thing...that was what he wanted right? His fingers passed right through<< Parfay...Arigon be I stand upon the living... >>He whispered softly. But he couldn't be dead. The princess the very least would be frightened to see him, and took this all into course. What was going on here?<< Permission to ask...what glamour be this? Speak of what you know...

OOC: >>face scrunches<< got tired of pulling up those two links all the time for old timish words. >>also is at home, sick<< I think I caught it from you.

((awww... *huggles* I so didn't give this to you I hope! 'tis aweful!
*breathes a sigh of relief* Do you know how much easier this is with Zell not trying so hard to be something he's not? *playfully thwaps him*))

Yeah... if he thought about it... Zell would probably figure out that was why. As much as he liked Maryline's instinctive clinging to him it was probably best for his attempt at 'starting over' that they weren't -well- attached. Yet he didn't move away, flashing Maryline the briefest of bright smiles along with a slight lift of his brow catching her going back into titles. Well he could do that much too, but no more full SeeD all trying to be proper. He lost his edge of thinking right, focusing too much on all the silly details he didn't understand. A little 'I know' nod -she said the only time they were together was the night she died. Oh, he was sure they had fallen in love long before that fateful night -as was clear by Mujaki's reactions here and now. Zell could see the look of a guy in love long before he could see it in himself.

He smiled at the night, beaming really to hear the guy's full name. Then swore softly in disappointment as Mujaki's fingers phased through his. "Dammit..." The SeeD frowned.

Shaking his head sadly Zell brought that hand to the back of his neck & sighed heavily. Hazel-blue eyes were soft & sincere as they moved to meet the knight's golden ones after a quick glance at Maryline. He'd try to do his best to field this one. Dude deserved the truth... but what exactly was the truth? Zell didn't know much about holograms or memory imprints or anything. Although those Star Treks he sometimes used to catch with the family before spending so much time with Maryline sometimes had them. Hell in the one type, there was a damn lifelike holographic room-thing. Touch, taste, scent they played it out to be or something -like a dude could get lost in it. Could get lost in this... well if Mujaki didn't keep phasing on them.

Zell gave the silver haired knight a lopsided sheepish grin as their eyes met, hand still rubbing the back of his neck as he tried to come up with what to say. "Yeah... glamour. That fits. Thing is... it's kinda complicated. Not really sure why you're phasing -doing that ghost-y thing, ya know?- through items and furniture. Really... I woulda thought ya could. Touch things I mean. His Majesty could. Touch things. So you should...." Eyes and mouth went wide and Zell snapped his fingers as an idea came to him. Sure... he'd deviated a bit from his original intentions, but it wasn't on purpose as he had followed his train of thought to try and figure out why Mujaki was phasing with them. "Dude! That's gotta be it! You're not supposed to be here!" Realizing that didn't come out right at all Zell laughed sheepishly and waved his hands to hold off getting all upset over it while he rephrased. "I mean... If 'Li... eh... if the King hadn't set you here to check on eh, the Princess 'cause of what we told him, then more likely than not you wouldn't have been over in this part of the palace at this time, right? So, like, the set's all out of whack, not expecting ya to be here so you're like... kinda not..." He laughed nervously as he realized it probably still wouldn't make much sense to Mujaki but at least he felt a little better for the notion and for making an attempt, momentarily forgetting about telling anything about the magic room or recreations or holograms or memory imprints or even Maryling being gone for 6 months that were 'here' only moments.

A heavy sigh and another grin. "Wish we coulda met outside a glamour-whatsit as we are. Would be cool to be friends." He hadn't changed his mind on that. "Still, dude, it's an honor meeting ya, Sir Mujaki Lutar Shade." That grin... nothing wrong with the fistfighter's memory when it cam to names. Protocols just put the guy through the wringer.

>>watching them, the princess gracefully nodded to Zells explaination. She had previously guessed that her holograms wouldn't touch the norm, hence she had taken extra care to kiss her father, though she wasn't certain yet of why. Her old knights golden eyes fairly shone with dark confusion and nervousness. The poor man...She could just imagine what this was like, to a man who was more boy<< What Sir Dincht was saying...We are currently in the past. A different stream then that of Magick, however simliar. As it is, we are disturbing the flow of the past, and thusly it resists. >>Not...precisely. But close enough<< >>A man cluelessly in love...He knew his heart pined for the lady, but didn't fully understand it. And now...to find she shared the bed of another...No. He wouldn't think about it. Not now. He let his hand move up to rub the cheek of his boyish face<< Yes, but I have often done what was not previously planned... >>Another sigh. He didn't understand any of this!<< Aye Sir Dincht...a pleasure...I wish to have met you on better grounds. >>Not walking upon him on the bed of a near-naked princess. His features began to pale, eyes flicking to the womans heart shaped face, radiant as ever<< The...past...then you musn't be here!

A bright grin, mixed with a warm laugh. "Oh yeah. For sure better grounds." He wasn't completely dense. Zell could guess what the knight referred to. Hey! It could've been worse! Um... maybe. This was still really bad... heh.

Zell shot Maryline a bright grin, grateful and loving. Of course! The Past! Total truth, but, dude... still confusing as heck. Then looked with almost blank confusion at the unexpected exclamation from Mujaki. "Huh? Why not? It's not like we're trying for time compression here. Believe me dude, past can't be changed."

Well.... at least it hadn't been possible the way Ellone had sent them back with her powers. Zell had kind of missed out on the time-traveling fictions where bad stuff happened when the past was changed.

>>She almost winced at the exclaimation. Almost. She had to remember, this was 17th century logic here...they didn't know what she now did. The thought oddly, almost saddened her<< No action can be preformed that had not previously been played. For the time, it limits you from other actions. Time should smoothe out thusly upon mine and sir Dincht's departure, perhaps so far as to go back an entire day before I disapeared, and play out from there. You do not understand Sir Dincht. By seeing you now, I am doing an action different I would have previously... >>His gaze sharply snapped back to Maryline, his voice dropping low, a flash of pain flickering in his eyes right before they hardened<< You are leaving?

Hazel-blue eyes looked from the princess to Mujaki, back and forth twice. Okay. Maybe he didn't understand. Wouldn't be the first time. Sure was likely not to be the last. "Dude, don't sweat it."

Yeah. That was pretty much Zell's answer to everything. Can't change it? Don't worry about it. Don't sweat it. Really, what good did worrying do anyone? Just couldn't enjoy the moments ya had 'cause of worrying. Took him to remember that himself, after trying to be something he wasn't and foolishly worrying about 'impressing' people who weren't really there.

Zell sighed, giving Mujaki a lopsided grin. "We can't exactly stay here forever, can we? 'sides.. didn't you just tell us we shouldn't be here? Adds up to us leaving sooner or later, I'd say." There was a soft sadness in those hazel-blue eyes.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 18, 2008 3:01 am

>>Don't...reach...for Zells...hand. It was a difficult command she gave her body, but one it upheld. This was getting more and more blurry, leaving her and the fistfighter to surely flounder later when Mujaki reported back to her father. Perhaps she should have not made holograms at all...<< Aye...Eventually...we must depart. >>A chill ran up his spine. Yes, they would go, and time would return to normality. But. With that logic, this was what waited for him in the future. Losing Maryline to a spell. To a spiked blonde who spoke odd things such as 'dude' and 'ya'. And there wasn't a thing he could do about it. His jawline tightened subtly<< Is there nothing...to anchor you here, m'lady? >>A deep pain. His self worth as a knight was dwindling by the minutes. At 18, he was a man. Why did he lack the strength to keep his most precious person to him?<< Is there nothing...that I can do? >>Now he wasn't sure if he was asking Maryline, Sir Dincht, or himself. Anyone that would answer him perhaps, though he already knew the answer<<

If Zell had any clue the princess was fighting reaching for him when he wanted to touch her so much... But he didn't know and didn't do anything other than to stop to smile at her. When it came down to it... the fistfighter had a tender heart. The look in his hazel-blue eyes ached for the knight. "I don't know, Sir Mujaki. I seriously don't."

Those eyes grew thoughtful. "I mean... if the past can be changed, and you tried to do so 'cause we were here and succeeded somehow... well wouldn't it change that we were here...? Dude that's confusing." He rubbed the back of his neck, then moved for his hand to rub at his tattoo. His young tenor voice was soft when he spoke again. "Maybe, there's a reality where you did. Do something different that is. I don't know, man. I just don't know. Can any of us really?"

His kitsu self hinted once that there was someone he knew that might, but that was neither here nor there.

>>She slowly shook her head. She couldn't stay here. And it wasn't her decision to die. Her eyes flicked to Zell, carefully looking at his soft face at his guess at the time threads. He brought an interesting thought. If she had the option on whether or not to go to Mujaki...or to call the doctor...would she chose to, to start this all again, or would she not, and stay the rest of her life with Mujaki? She...couldn't answer that<< Sir Mujaki...I believe thee should retire for the night, if there is nothing else. The hour grows late and we rise early. >>Change the future...their present<< I wish...I sorely wish Sir Dincht. >>He closed his eyes as the princesses soft tone wrapped around him, savoring it like a starving man getting a scrap of food<< Aye, m'lady. >>His eyes opened again as he bowed in flourish, barely rejecting going to one knee. He looked at the spiked blonde long, and hard upon straighening<< Gaurd the Lady well upon slumber. >>Since Zell obviously wasn't going to go to a spare room now...he wanted to convey that if he so much scratched her, the draconic demon would be there<< May you both wake, to see the sunrise.

He wished what? Something other than what Zell suspected? If it had been possible... would Maryline be happier with Mujaki than she was with him? It wasn't exactly something Zell wanted or liked to think about. Not now. But if he had never met her... the fistfighter would never have known what he was missing. He would not know he was missing her love.

Zell bit back whatever he might have been about to say as Maryline spoke. Hyne how he just wanted to hold her now. He dipped his head to the knight's words, catching golden eyes with his own. There was a seriousness in his own as he nodded compliance. Something along the lines of how he would punish himself should Maryline be hurt in the slightest. His lips quirked in a half-smile. "You too, Sir Mujaki. Wake and see the sunrise."
