After a good hearty breakfast with Mikki and a morning full of classes, Princess drags herself through the portrait door, and sleeply heads up the stairs. She hears some kind of "ripping" sound and then a cutting sound. She gets to the top of the stairs and starts looking into the dorm rooms, she stops at the 3rd doorway, leans against the side with her arms crossed. She has a puzzled look on her face and says: "Mikki, what in merlin's name are you doing to your bookbag?? Did you have lunch yet? Or dinner rather, I am hungry again. Come on and fix it with reparo and let's get going. You do know how to use that spell right??" Princess patiently awaits Mikki's response.

Miranda collapsed onto her bed, tired from everything. She picked up her guitar and began to play "Cliffs of Dover."

Mikki stops taping up her bag to look up at Princess. "Of course I know that spell! I just thought it would be more fun to use duct tape. It'll give my bag character." She gets up and sighs. "Well, I suppose it is a lot of work. Maybe another time. Reparo. Alright, lets go!" Mikki skips out of the dormitory, full of energy from her nap.

ATTENTION ALL RAVENCLAWS!
I don't know if any of you have noticed or not, but if you look at the stickies in the main forum, there's a new one.
The Hogwarts Monthly is returning!
Perhaps you aren't familiar with the Monthly. A long while ago, it was something like a fun guild newspaper. It withered away in time, but we're bringing it back.
I've somehow ended up in charge of this operation, and I'm calling for student-written articles. I've not had any submissions from Ravenclaw so far...please, go and read through that sticky at least! I'd like our house to have some student representation in the paper this May.

Ah, yes. The dreaded PG-13 line. Don't worry, I wasn't going to go any farther than that...||
When carrigan recoiled, she leaned back a little, trying to hide her disappointment. Why is he always so tense around everyone?? It's like interaction is a....tedious chore for him. We'll have to fix that, now, won't we?? After thinking for a moment, an idea poped into her mind. She put her hand back where it was a moment ago, in his. She hoped this would sort of, erase the past couple seconds. Like a backspace button. Almost. OK, maybe not, but it was worth a try, right? She tried an approach that might...suit him a little more. "My appologies." she wispered. "Should I have asked first?" She waited a lirttle, and whaen he said nothing, she continued. "May I?"

Almost like a switch had been flipped, Carrigan's breathing returned to a more even pace the moment Miranda leaned back and took his hand again. His face felt about five different kinds of warm, nevertheless, and his breath still caught every now and again. He couldn't believe what had just almost-happened. Hardly-happened. He gasped in some much-needed air, looking down briefly, and then nodded his head. "I'm sorry," he said wryly. "I'm making this a lot harder than it needs to be, but--" Carrigan stopped abruptly and chuckled; sounding completely unamused. "What am I supposed to do? I didn't even have any friends before I came here, and now I've sudenly got an almost-girlfriend, and we're lying on my bed and you're trying to kiss me."
He looked distant. "I want to... but I'm a little scared here."

Princess looks at the work Mikki has already done on her bookbag with the duct tape, she chuckles to herself. "Mikki darling if you want to give your bookbag character why don't you 'bedazzle' it or draw on it like the older generation used to back in school. Duct tape seems to have such a harsh characterization to it." Princess smiles at her friend, and follows her out of the room down to the Great Hall.

"Well, I could do that, but that's what everyone else does. No one I've seen has duct taped their bags. And besides, duct tape is more durable. If I just glitter it up, it'll rip again, and I'll have to use reparo again." Happy at the points she made, Mikki stood up a little straighter and stuck out her chest. "So HA! Duct tape wins! Oh, and I could just 'bedazzle' the duct tape."

Miranda noticed that Carrigan was extremely uncomfortable, and wanted to do something to calm him down a little, but she knew it was a little late for that, so she settled for the next best thing; although she had no clue what that might be at the moment. " I'm sorry. That's probably my fault more than yours." she said. "I keep forgetting about that. I really don't know what I'm doing either, so..."
"You don't think I'm scared too? Honey, I'm just as, if not more, scared than you are. Sure, I've been in a few relationships and things, but nothing like this." Luckily, she stopped herself from saying what she was going to next. I can't tell him that...It would make me look way too desparate. She sighed again. she had truly ran out of things to say. This was one of her bad habits, and she thought she'd gotten over it, but apparently not any more. "Ok," she admitted, "Maybe that was a little too sudden..... If I were you, I probably would have done the same thing. But you have to warn me from now on when I start to do something like that." she said, woth an almost smirk thing sort of creeping its way onto her face.

[[Ah! Where has everyone gone? Why am I always the one to be here at a dull posting time? crying ]]
Mikki walked back into the common room, full of her marvelous dinner. "Gotta love those house elves!" she said to no one in particular. She walked up to her dormitory and continued duct taping her bag, even thought it was fixed. She had nothing better to do, since everyone seemed to have gone missing.

Miranda gets off her bed. "Sorry, I've just been sleeping for a while." She notices Mikki's bag. "Nice, duct tape." Miranda looks around. "Hey, where is everyone?!"

"Ah, yes, good ol' duct tape. Princess thinks I'm being ridiculous, though. I think it's fun. You won't be seeing anyone else with a bag covered in duct tape!" Mikki, crouched over bag, placed final strip on a corner of her bag. "Sweet. It's done!" She got up to discover she was obviously crouched over for too long. She rubbed her back and flexed it.

Princess once again crawls through the portrait once again to relax in the Ravenclaw common room after a hard day of classes. I have six classes this term and I have already started off on the wrong foot with a Professor who teaches TWO of them; she thought to herself. Quietly as she walks over to the couch she has a grand, yet mischeivious idea pop into her head. She quietly and carefully goes up stairs to Mikki's room. She notices the door is closed...."Ahlohamora" she whispers and gently opens the door. On the floor in a corner she can see Mikki's bookbag, completely covered in duct tape.
Princess silently chuckles to herself as she raises her wand and whispers a new spell she learned: "Glitterus Totalus" Immediately the bookbag had been covered in glitter glue which was stuck upon the top of Mikki's duct tape. It read 'Mikki's cool Bag' in Blue and silver glitter.
Princess quietly put her wand away and softly closed the door and she tried to hide the bits of laughter about to emerge from her mouth as she ran down the stairs back to the common room.
She looked around to see who she could possibly share her prank with, that would appreciate it but no one was around. She really had hoped she could share it with Carrigan but alas, he wasn't in the common room either.
Princess sighs and slowly walks back up the stairs to her dorm room and closes the door.

While up in her dorm room, Princess receives a message from one of her friends in Gryffindor letting her know about the house points status. Princess reads the note, and excitedly throws open her door and runs down the stairs to announce it to her fellow Ravenclaws.
"Hey everyone I just got word that we are in 1st place with 193 house points. I just wanted to congratulate everyone on such a wonderful and diligent job that they are doing to contribute to our house points earnings. Keep up the great work!!"
She proudly walks over to the couch with a satified smile on her face, all the while thinking of how proud she is of all the students in her house. Then suddenly a new thought enters her head, and she tries her best to dismiss those feelings. She can't be distracting herself with thoughts of Carrigan when he hasn't even shown interest in her as a friend. Completely baffled by this new thought she sheepishly opens her book and begins to read for her new Astronomy class; all the while her face is turing bright pink with embarrassment.
