Sitting up from leaning against the tree trunk, Zetsuei jumped down and sat next to Maki
" No Maki, I havent seen him for a while. Maybe a couple of hours, you have been sleeping so I put my coat over you to keep you warm. Whats bothering you Maki, you know you can tell me"

“Aw, we can’t have any fun with the guards?” Chase taunted as she dug her claws into the stone and slowly began to scale the wall. “However, with how my luck has been lately, we just might be spotted,” The dragon said as she hauled herself up onto the top of the wall before looking down the other side. It was quite a drop, but a relatively easy one if it could be landed right.
Leaping down off of the wall to the inside of the town, Chase did have an advantage with her wings spreading out side to side to slow her decent. She landed with a small thump on the ground in a squatted position before she stood, wiped her sleeves off, and looked back up the wall waiting for Taras.

Maki knew Zetsuei was a trusted friend and nodded her head before speaking.
"I feel ... like i've lead everyone on a foolish journey. We left home to find our friends for a reunion and all we found was sadness and worry. I've teetered on the brink of death in hopes of seeing all my friends before I died," she admitted. "But now that I've been cured I find even more sadness and worry. I feel ... so selfish now. I've made new friends and lost them along the way, I've become a burden on my current friends and now another has distanced himself from me as if I was a total stranger."
Maki leaned back against the tree and looked up.
"I died twice and haven't learned my lesson I guess," she said looking at Zetsuei. "I felt completely embarrassed back at the old infirmary ... I never saw those men in those beds. I could only see the crumbling infirmary where we first met those dark vines. Now I feel too embarrassed to face Katrea again. ... I was ... so mad I wanted to punch someone and then I saw that vacant stare in his eyes. It was as if a stranger was looking back at me and I felt as if another friend has died because of me."

Wrapping his arms around Maki, Zetsuei just stood there holding her.
"Maki, you are not a burden to anyone. I have told you I would protect you no matter what and cure you of your aliment. You are my family, just as you were to my father. I will continue to stand by you no matter what happens. Everyone chooses what they do, and they know the effects that comes from the decisions."
Letting his words sink into a Maki for a moment he began to speak again.
"Dont let Katrea's memory loss bother you. He cant remember much of anything, not of me of my father and barely those of Kyana. You will always have me Maki no matter what"

Maki smiled and hugged Zetsuei before returning his coat.
"Thank you ... I needed to hear that. I think we should head back to the airship," she said looking around. "Maybe Shinja is there preparing for our next destination. Besides, I think we're just getting in the way of Avardia. Still ... I wish there was a way to stop this upcoming battle without raising our swords. Don't you?"

Slipping his coat back on, Zetsuei stepped back from Maki and nodded
"Yes I do Maki, but sometimes that is all people will see as a solution and this seems like one of those occasions. We can try to do whatever there is to stop as much fighting as we can. But for now lets return to the airship"

"Get on my back Maki and Ill fly us there, it will be alot faster."
Zetsuei said as he spread his wings and knelt down waiting for Maki to climb on his back.

Maki climbed onto Zetsuei's back and closed her eyes.
"I just hope Shinja has a few ideas of how to stop this," she mumbled.

Jumping into the air, Zetsuei flapped his wings and took flight.
"Maki, he may not even be in the airship. When I saw him last he never mentioned going there"

Taras got to the top as chase jumped, he was shocked at first but soon saw the safe fall and began himself. He jumped over the wall and put both hands on the side and used the friction of his open hands to slow his fall, he twitched a little as his nails got scuffed up.
With his soft landing on the stone floor he ran to the shadows of a near by building that had an ally way to his right. “So where now. should we talk to the locaes about the war or go to a higher up?”

Katrea walked around the halls of the castle followed by the two new woman. He came to a dark stair case where he lifted a lanterns from the wall and began to walk down.
“this leads to the under ground docks, there we will meet some more recruits to the army and head to the island, but I believe I will have to leave soon after getting to the island.”
They got to the bottom and saw the large ship with others all on it taking bags full of there belongings and what not. Katrea showed the two to a the boarding ramp and smiled.
“come now, we will be setting of soon.”

Gently flapping his wings Zetusei could see the outline of the airship in the distance.
"We cant wait too long Maki, we need to find out what has happened in the other continent to cause them to start this war."

"You're right ... it's just ... I just found him again and well .... I don't want to lose him again," she said hugging Zetsuei's shoulders. "I just found you again and don't want to lose you either."
